My partner bought my donuts and spent R120 on the 17th and 18th of March. I must say that I have never been so disappointed by adonut shop like the way that I have by this bakery. I have been buying donuts from this bakery for months now and have always liked their donuts until they closed due to renovation between late January 2022 and February. After they reopened my partner bought me donuts that are stale and old and he did not know this because he does not eat donuts and never openythe boxes. The donuts which they sold to my partner even have rat/mouse bites everywhere and they are hard as a rock. How do you sell old donuts which you kept in your store since January 2022 while doing renovations in late March 2022? Shop inspectors really need to inspect this shop. How do you even sell something which clearly you can see it's expired to a loyal customer or even to a human being. I am so disappointed and I regret being loyal to this bakery because clearly you don't prioritise the health of your customers and it's sickening and really disappointing. I've always bought fresh donuts from this store but what I got in March 2022 is the lowest quality of donuts that I have ever seen in my life and I don't intend on coming back to your bakery because clearly you care more about losing money that the health of your customers. Highly disappointed and I'm never returning!

Terrible service at La Bakery... Drove from Emmarentia to Ormonde to purchase a few cakes, rolls etc. Poor service experience from cake counter...waited a while to get served. Lady at counter didn't smile or apologize for the wait...as if she was doing me a favor. Queued a while before paying as the lady on other till was busy discussing cake options... When eventually served at till, I expressed my disappointment...lady, who is probably the owner didn't even care to apologize for the unsatisfactory service experience. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO LA BAKERY NOR RECOMMEND IT...as they have no idea about service Nazeer, Emmarentia

Got some really good freezer to microwave ...easy ready made stuff ..and the one thing no other bakery can compare is their Cape Malay brown cooksisters they are the best I have ever eaten...I live in sandon and they are so far away but now I go all the way to the south just to buy their cooksisters or I ask people that live there to buy them for me .and I freeze them that's how yummy they are ......love their selection of dates and biscuits and other little eateries that they have. .defenitly worth the price...well done guys...you make delicious stuff... you should go try them....you wont be disappointed....love this bakery

So today, I finally visited the famous La Bakery in the South. All I can say is that you will not be disappointed. I didnt buy much, only a fresh cream donought, but boy oh boy, proper fresh cream, as they use with all their cakes. I wish I bought more however I was still very full from lunch but nevertheless I will definitely be back. They have all sorts of biscuits, cakes, swiss rolls, tarts , fresh rolls galore. This is the best bakery thus far that I have been to, will definitely recommend. I don't stay in the south, however it was the most worth it drive ever!!!!

La bakery was one the bakeries I always popped into over a weekend when in jhb. UNFORTUNATELY I dont live in jhb and usually send my driver to buy some goodies from them. I called them today and they refused to keep out some items which I would gladly pay upfront and collect when i could but was told they dont set aside cakes which i find to be odd cause i would have paid for it immediately.. im disappointed in the service i received

They are the best, I ordered a Mr bean cake for my 2 year old son I asked them to reassure me that they won't disappoint us. They didn't disappoint the kids were blown away by Mr bean's pic. The cake was beautiful from the inside and outside heavenly taste they sure know the meaning of fresh. The cake was finished within hours and we still wanted more. Great service, great staff and the best taste. Definetly going back for more.

La Bakery got right. Food lovers den. The 1st thing that strikes you when entering the store is FRESH. Clean Store with a great variety of confectionery products. Order in the morning and collect in the afternoon a personalized birthday cake with celebrants name and Happy birthday message in a day is a great convinience. Great Service, friendly staff. Thanks.

So a friend of mine recommended this bakery for me last weekend to get a birthday cake for my daughter, I went yesterday and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They recommended a cake for us that they said its most famous in the shop and I must say wow the cake was SOO GOOD, worth the money I am definitely going back for more

My favourite bakery in all of the land. Perioddddt. They sell the best brownies, swiss rolls, baklava, sweeties and coconut drinks. I could go on forever. Quaint bakery with two checkout points, which means queueing is a little bit of a pain, but best believe that waiting in-line is always worth it.

Products are always fresh, chocolate ganache cake is life . I'd give them 5 stars. Only reason why they are getting 4 is because rolls /buns are only usually available after 11 am That's pretty late as people want to access bakery for morning. When entertaining guests one has to plan for after lunch

Unfortunately this isn’t the same bakery from a year ago in the sense that the quality of the cakes have gone down. Not really tasty so not worth going. In fact some of the cakes and biscuits taste offish. Had to put water in it to soften and rather feed the birds, so as not to waste in the bin.

Very very bad service rude staff owner and her family very rude.I had been buying from this bakery since 2017, They have good Quality Cakes etc and service Was ok, but last 2 month the service got very bad and they are really arrogant and with this attitude u will lose ur customers day by day.

Excellent Swiss roll type cakes. Super fresh and moist. Cream is light and not too sweet which is brilliant as often cakes become way too sweet. Great balance. Home made assortment of different biscuits are fantastic as well. Eager to try out their other yummy treats. Yum tum!

Prices are good, I bought a dozen long rolls that's were very fresh as well as a kitki bread which was excellent, I also bought a bar one cake for R160 I expected a bit more from the cake but overall I was happy with my purchase, the store was clean and staff were friendly.

Their treats are always fresh and well worth the price. You go in to buy one item but unfortunately because they have so many nice goodies you come out with more than expected. If you have not tried them trust me you are really missing out.

The fresh coconut and cream Swiss roll with the drizzle of white chocolate ganache was sublime! Rolls and buns never disappoint either. I was also happy to see the stock of frozen food for a quick weekend meal making it a one stop shop.

Great variety... Their cakes are absolutely delicious. But their servers are extremely rude, I frequent the bakery and although they can see me I always have to ask for hell and when they do come they don't greet and look very annoyed.
