Mediocre, at best. Don’t bring anything here for wash and fold that needs any special care. We paid a lot extra for the “well healed” service where they are supposed to wash each type of item according to the care instructions on the tag… they definitely did not do that, at all. About 75% of the items that we took in came back either shrunk/shrunk with soap residue, or completely devoid of its original integrity. I would really only trust this place with towels, sheets, etc that you don’t mind if they potentially mess up the item. It was far more expensive than some of the better laundry places in the neighborhood In response to the owner's response: There is nothing "miraculous" about clothes shrinking... it happens when you don't dry them at the proper temperature. I am not sure what you plan to do to fix the clothes, because you can't really unshrink them. I am also not sure what you mean by "daily wear and tear clothing items"? We don't live in NYC, we were just there visiting, so we won't be coming back to your business, we just want to make sure that others know not to trust your "well healed" service as a specialty service that takes into consideration the specific care instructions for each item.

So upset with the costumer service for 2 years I come to make my laundry and until no problems ocurres was fine …but one day I take my clothing out of the machine and was splash of bleach all over (I didn’t use bleach my self only soup and softener as always)…they said they can’t do nothing about because I did the laundry my self so couple of 100 $$$ lost between jeans and different items…then this week I bring my laundry and giving to them with my soup ,softener and sheet for the dryer when I pickup the laundry was no soup no softener and no sheet …..I ask for some kind of solution and the guy was even bothered because he was busy so no solution I lost again …this people don’t care at all about their costumer just they want theirs money

So, you can’t trust the reviews here. I guess the only way to find out if you like this place is to try it out yourself. They’re running a promo asking for reviews (see pic). You do have to buy a card the first time (it’s like a $1 if I recall) and this place is cashless. Machines are a bit cheaper than on 1st, but that’s expected as it’s farther east. Signs say new machines. It’s a shame that reviews are pointless these days. Some are legit but others not so take with a grain of salt. But I guess you can’t trust reviews on yelp either. Ultimately the only way to see if u like a place is to try it out or word of mouth. But I will say this place looks clean.

I have been going to La La over a year now (both self-serve and drop off), and I’ve never had a negative experience. Recently, one of their kind workers really went above and beyond when my boyfriend realized at 7pm the day before our flight for vacation that he forgot to drop off his clothes. I called ahead and asked if it would be possible to be dropped off and complete at 10am the next morning. They said yes, and didn’t even charge us extra for the rush. It saved both of us a headache. Really appreciate the customer service! :)

I been doing here for 2 years. I left my tide pods on Saturday 08/13. I returned back on 08/17 and I asked Bryan have he seen them. He looked me in my face and lied to me about see my tide pods. I found the on the shelf and this lady saw me kept scaring at them so she removed them so I wouldn’t ask were they mines. Totally unacceptable to steal from your customers when they been coming here for years and after the price changes. Very disrespectful and disappointing. I will just invest in a washer. I would not return here anymore.

Best laundromat I ever been to. I have been going to this laudromat for about 9 yrs. They are clean. Machines work great. Curteous and efficient Customer Service. Now they have modern washer and dryer machines. What I like the most is its a comfortable and spacious enviroment where you can lounge while waiting for your clothes. They play good relaxing music too. I have laundromats that are close in distance to my home but I will rather come to this one out of any laundromats in the neighborhood.

I just did what will be my last load of laundry there after going there for years. Prices shot up more than 30% overnight to do laundry. The smallest washer that was $3.50 and is $4.75 now. The dryers went up even more. It was 35¢ for 7 minutes a couple of months ago and now it’s 50¢. I’ll walk the extra 2 blocks to one of the other laundromats and pay a normal amount. For what I just paid to do 2 small loads of laundry I can drop my laundry off somewhere and pick it up.

Our neighborhood laundry spot recently changed owners and it is night and day from the old Spin City. Lala laundry has brought us into the 21st century with new machines that are clean, efficient and actually dry your clothing! They take cards so no more lugging around 5 lbs of quarters! The staff is super nice and helpful. Added bonus: they play great music! It’s no longer a torturous experience to launder my clothes..Best laundry spot in the East Village, hands down!

After my nearby laundromat closed due to Covid I’ve been hand washing for 4 weeks. What a relief to find the newly reopened LaLa Laundry with reloadable cards - no more quarters! Limiting to a few customers at a time and signing people in. The staff is amazing! Getting all the dog hair off the clothes and sheets so that Tater can shed on them again! Rinse/Repeat! They also have drop off laundry and cleaning service. No folding for now - extra Covid safety measures.

I have and probably still will choose to use La La. But the customer service can be as unreliable as some of the machines. Unfortunately they have some people who are more concerned with helping their bosses save a buck by deflecting problems with equipment by creating insulting and ridiculous reasons instead of offering any real assistance. Overall a pleasant place but can definitely show some improvement.

I like it. You have variety of machines to choose from. You have machine just for cold water for those of you who like to save energy. Only thing you pay more for those. Then they you have the regular ones which hot, warm and cold. All the machines uses a card.( They have place where you load the money onto the card) You also have lots of dries. They also have super dries to dry those bulky comforters.

Brought in a big bag of wash and fold with my bed sheets and mattress cover. Rather than just blindly wash it they took the time to check the sheets and found a decent size tear in the mattress cover. They let me know that they found it and took it off the bill for the wash and fold, rather than destroy it in the washing machine. Great attention to detail and through work, highly recommend.

Not only was the facility in impeccable condition during renovations, all the machines were clean and easy fo use.They are coin free which makes things so extremely easy. The attenndant was persoanable and helpful. The machines were easy to operate and had my clothes cleaner then ever. I will not go anywhere else from now on. This laundromat is professional, clean, and hip! Tons of working washer machines, and dryers. Do yourself a favor and come here every chance you get. The best laundry service/place ever in NYC. They are fast, kind, and make it so easy. Not only are they the best at what they do but they are super organized and have a lot of different options to maximize the best service possible. I had asked if they could do same day delivery and they were able to have it to me within less than 6 hours. They are FABULOUS.

This place is just a constant problem - I'm so tired of it. They don't guarantee the quality of their work, which is a sad thing to say about any business. Does anyone know of a laundry that cleans the "dry and press" clothes rather than just sticking them in a machine and returning them in the same condition you gave them? It's pathetic.

I've literally watched this Laundry Mat go from Laundry and Cafe > Laundry > Laundry Plant Shop. The price is average, the staff is nice and the laundry mat is clean and sanitary. The plants add a nice touch although I do worry about plants getting big infestation and how what would play out in the laundry. Other than that, it's cool.

I’ve been doing my own laundry here for years. They’re nice and recently went coin-free with new washing machines. Occasionally use dry clean or tailoring services, not perfect but reliable enough. Glad new dryers are coming soon and that they finally ditched annoying talking toy contest machines. Paper towels would be nice.

I have been coming to La La Laundry for years now. The service is unbeatable, the atmosphere is terrific you can find all sorts of beautiful plants. They offer a number of unique services such as clothing customization, laundry delivery & maids. They always get the job done well, never losing your or staining your cloths.

I’ve been doing my laundry here for years. I like that it has a lot of machines in different sizes and some space to sit. It took me a little bit to get used to the laundry card system but now I like it. I hear new dryers are coming -super excited about that. I like the cloud painting on the ceiling too.

LaLa is simply the best. I have been going to them for the past year and they are always so nice and take such good care of my clothes. We have never had problems. The attitudes are a little better but i have allergies so when people bring their dogs in the laundry my nose starts running which isn't fun i wish people would have more consideration for others i guess if there is no rule saying no dogs allowed people forget they leave among other humans

Best thing that happened to the neighborhood laundromat! When they took over from the previous owners, doing the laundry is a pleasant chore! These guys aim to please and they know what customer service is! Plus they have updated their machines so that’s great! May their tribe increase!

Good ambience. Music consistently cool. This said it's overpriced. Their card system has pros such as, clean & quick. But big Con, card easily forgotten.System does NOT WARN you, no beep like atm, nothing. So I recommend not to put a lot of money into card.
