I was recommended this place after vocalizing pain and general discomfort from years of neglect after having three children and starting a business. I am so glad I went! Everyone at Lady Bird is so kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, non-judgmental, and helpful. I’ve been seeing Dr. Shannon Russell for my floor concerns, though I sense anyone here would be an excellent choice. Dr. Russell has been so wonderful at giving me the tools and feedback to help me prosper and strengthen. She is patient and very good at explaining everything in every way imaginable to help me understand my body and what I need to do to heal. The aftercare email is thorough, they have several options for understanding your strengthening work for the coming weeks, and they gladly welcome follow up emails for concerns and questions. The front desk staff are lovely and all-encompassing as well. I always feel welcome and included. I wish that pelvic floor work was included in the same kind of care going to your gynecologist or family doctor yearly physical is. I know a lot of my issues and concerns could have been addressed much earlier in life, and I know it shouldn’t have to take pregnancy or childbirth to make it so. However, I am glad I am finally taking charge of my health and building the strength and floor support I need moving forward. I’m grateful to all the staff at Lady Bird Physical Therapy, and I am so fortunate be part of their community!

If you are thinking about going to pelvic therapy, look no further, Lady Bird PT is the best place I've ever come to for pelvic floor physical therapy. Everyone is lovely here, it is super easy to work with the front desk for scheduling and billings efforts. I was referred here by my OBGYN when I found out I was pregnant to help prep myself for birth. I've been working with Jessica Chastka, who is the best therapist I've been so lucky to work with. I have worked with numerous pelvic floor therapist before and no one has been as good as her. I also love that the appointments are one hour as prior places I've been are only 30 minutes which feels rushed. Jessica takes her time each visit to see if anything has changed, talk through how I'm feeling and if we need to change up the session, my at home workouts and items to help prep for birth. Jessica is also just so easy going, charismatic and makes you feel comfortable throughout the process. I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant and feel like we have made so much progress on my pelvic floor so far and excited to continue working with Jessica through my pregnancy and postpartum! Highly recommend Jessica and Lady Bird PT!

Dr. Rebecca Maidansky at Lady Bird PT is wonderful! She is a patient and caring doctor and makes her patients feel comfortable with her relaxed and friendly demeanor. I saw Dr. Maidansky for both birth prep and postpartum issues. Without the knowledge she imparted to me before birth, my labor may not have been as meaningful as it was: I felt like I had the body awareness, control and autonomy I needed to get though delivery. During my postpartum time, she was a complete lifeline as I began to get to know my forever changed body. I was able to work with her to build my strength and confidence back, not just in my pelvic floor, but my whole body. My pain issues post-epidural were also taken seriously; I now know how to get relief and maintain coordination and ease through exercises that are perfectly fit for my unique concerns. Knowing Dr. Maidansky cared about the whole person was so important to me and is crucial for birthing and postpartum people! Austin is lucky to have a business like Lady Bird PT here in our city!

I was recommended Lady Bird by a woman I met who was at a friend's birthday with her 8-day-old newborn. I was kind of amazed she was able to be out and about so soon after birth, and she said pelvic floor PT made a huge difference in her labor, delivery, and postpartum healing. I took her advice and made an appointment when I became pregnant. I worked with Shannon R, who was very warm and professional and honestly great to work with, from my pregnancy through postpartum. I had a very long labor as it was my first baby, but I only had to push 45 minutes and I attribute some of the work we did during my pregnancy to that. My postpartum healing also went really well - my abdominal muscles and tear both healed quickly and well, to the point that our very experienced midwives were impressed with how quickly it occurred. I would recommend Lady Bird to anyone - I wish the services they offer were available to every pregnant person.

I am so grateful to LadyBird PT, especially Shannon! Since my second child was born, I developed painful issues with my pelvic floor. I tried pelvic floor PT at my obgyn’s direction; the first place I went, which my insurance covered, only did external work that included using workout machines. No improvement. I took the plunge and started with LadyBird out of network. Night and day. Shannon showed me how to work on my pelvic floor myself, taught me how to breath to relax my pelvic floor, provided recommendations to bring to my obgyn and shared podcasts by doctors to learn more about my issue to be a better advocate for myself when speaking with my doctors. I am more confident in my ability to both communicate my concerns to doctors and what to do to aide my pelvic floor to relax. If you are on the fence, I have to say, take the plunge! It will improve your quality of life.

I cannot recommend Lady Bird enough. I started seeing Liz in my first pregnancy due to some pregnancy complications I was having affecting my pelvic floor, and she immediately made me feel so safe, supported, and I left the appointment with the confidence that I was going to be able to manage my symptoms (and a detailed plan to achieve that!). After every appointment I receive a follow up email that details what we discussed and has all of my exercises and instructions-this is so valuable for a busy mom who may not always remember everything haha. Postpartum I've had appointments where I walked in struggling and crying, and Liz always held space for me and saved the day. I live in Georgetown and yet I drive an hour each way with a newborn just to make these appointments, because there's NO better place you'll find. Thank you Lady Bird!

I was recommended this clinic by a friend, and it has been a truly amazing experience with them from pregnancy to postpartum! Anna T. is such a personable and knowledgeable PT; she is realistic while also being encouraging. My husband and I also took Allie M.'s Lady Bird Birthing class and it helped us to have an amazing and informed birth experience when the time came (to note: we also went to our hospital's one-day, 6-hour birth class and could not believe how much more detail and research was in Allie's class comparatively). I'm probably biased as an occupational therapist, but everyone in pregnancy or experiencing pelvic issues should always seek out therapy as a first line of defense for keeping the body healthy and this place is one of the best; worth every dollar! Thank y'all for everything!

I had such an incredible experience here! I began going in postpartum due to leaking and some hip pain. I worked with Dr. Liz Cote and she was amazing! Her bedside manner is top notch. She made me feel so comfortable and honestly my appointments felt like I was hanging out with a friend. It was very casual and conversational and I really loved my visits. She made the homework exercises feel so attainable and encouraged me to do the exercises when I could. I just graduated from PT today and am so happy to say that I no longer have any leaking and my hip discomfort is gone. I was able to run at Orange Theory and felt completely comfortable again. I will truly miss my sessions because I loved chatting with Dr. Liz so much! She's the best and I recommend her and Lady Bird PT to everyone!

I started going to Lady Bird PT when I was about 32 weeks pregnant and continued under their care until about 13 weeks postpartum and I couldn't recommend them enough. Liz helped me prepare for delivery, gave me all the tools I needed for labor, and worked with me to build a program to get me back into my usual gym routine by 12 weeks pp. She was very thorough and available via email to answer any questions I had outside of our appointments. I don't think I would have had the fast recovery I did without Liz's guidance, and the work that Lady Bird PT does to inform and educate through their newsletters, and videos. The only downside for me was that my insurance did not cover the out of network care. But it was worth it for the sake of my pelvic floor.

Lady Bird PT is amazing-- Jess is fantastic. Honestly, this is the best medical care I've ever received. Jess was helpful at the end of my pregnancy in prepping for birth and modifying my workouts. After I delivered, she provided excellent care in-clinic and offered moves and strategies to help me feel supported at home in my workouts and day-to-day movements. Jess explains things clearly, has a great bedside manner, and never rushes through a visit. Her care is 100% tailored to you and your goals/life. Also-- and this is important right after you have a baby!-- she worked with me to prioritize so that my list of things to do at home was manageable and not overly time-consuming. If you're looking for pelvic floor PT, Lady Bird is your spot!

Lady Bird PT is such a great group of people, and Liz is simply fantastic. I could not imagine going through my post-surgery recovery without her! This entire process brought up so many difficult emotions for me, and Liz has helped me navigate them with a grace I didn't know was possible. She has met every one of my fears and roadblocks with compassion and understanding, and then dispelled those fears with the factual knowledge I needed in order to overcome them and move forward. I have received such a high quality of care here, and it's made all the difference in my recovery. I am so grateful to have found this place and to have had Liz as my provider. I could not recommend Lady Bird PT more highly!

  • Sarah Armstrong

I cannot say enough positive things about Lady Bird PT and Dr. Liz. Towards the end of my pregnancy I started to have pretty severe pain in my hips and legs, making walking extremely uncomfortable. In one session Dr. Liz was able to not only get me upright, but walking without extreme pain for the first time in a month. She worked with me on small movements I could do at home to continue to gain mobility, and by my next session we were able to build on that. I look forward to my next session with her! I cannot thank Dr. Liz enough for literally saving me from being miserable the last few weeks of pregnancy. If you are considering PT as an option, do yourself a favor and see Dr. Liz at Lady Bird :)

Liz from Lady Bird PT has been a critical part of my pregnancy journey and postpartum recovery. I wouldn’t be where I am without her. Not only is she patient, kind and incredibly knowledgeable regarding all things PT, but she’s able to break down what’s happening to my body and pelvic floor in a tangible, real way that I can understand. She provides specific direction after every appointment, and I’ve seen vast improvement across my main priority areas as a result of our work together. I highly recommend Liz and the team at Ladybird. You’ll leave feeling heard, stronger and empowered to take on your healing head on. You’ll also get some laughs along the way.

I can't say enough good things about Lady Bird Physical Therapy. They are incredibly professional and knowledgeable. I have come here twice, once a couple years ago after having a VBAC and now after having a c-section with my third baby. Everyone who works here is so kind and welcoming. I am currently working with Jessica and she's amazing; it has only been two weeks under her care and I am already noticing a difference with my c-section scar and diastasis recti. Additionally, I leave each session feeling empowered which is a pretty awesome feeling, especially post-partum. Go here if you need any sort of pelvic floor PT; they're the best!

  • Peyton Sadler

Cannot say enough great things about my experience here. Each session I had was a positive and educational experience, and I could see improvements week by week. Dr. Shannon Russell's dedication to my well-being was evident as she made sure I had the tools and knowledge to continue my progress outside of our sessions. If you're in need of a PT I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Russell. She is not only a skilled professional but also is very compassionate and genuinely cares about your wellbeing. The front desk people are also super positive and make you feel at home. If you live in Austin or surrounding areas this is the place to go!

Love the Lady Bird PT website with video explanations. Love Bailey, who answered questions over the phone before my first appointment. Most of all, I love working with Dr. Jessica Chastka. She put me at ease from the beginning, explained everything she was doing, and answered questions I was curious about. She taught the home exercises during each appointment. By the time I got home there was an email with written instructions, photos, and videos, and an invitation to ask additional questions. Dr. Chastka is friendly, knowledgeable, and does amazing work. Results have been encouraging since day 1. Thanks!

I’ve LOVED my experience at Lady Bird PT so far! Every person on their staff is incredible at making the space comfortable and welcoming (even for those who have experienced trauma). Every session I have with Liz is never dull & always insightful - I’m so grateful for her wealth for knowledge of to aid in my progression which was noticeable after just a couple visits! I’ve made strides in my healing that I didn’t think were possible because of Liz & I couldn’t be more grateful for her improvement on my life. You can’t go wrong choosing Lady Bird PT for your pelvic health :)

I was pretty scared of doing pelvic floor therapy but my dr really encouraged me to do it so I gave it a try. I've only had 3 sessions and already can actually SEE as well as feel a difference. I would have done it years ago had I known: a) that my abs were all jacked up b) that doing ab workout videos was probably making things worse and not better c) that it would make such a big impact Oh and also I'm working with Liz and she is super not scary and makes the whole process really comfortable and not stressful or invasive feeling. Love Liz. Highly recommend.

  • Lauren Pati

I was having some issues which started in my second trimester and was referred to Lady Bird Physical Therapy by my OBGYN. So glad she did! Not only has my issue been a lot more manageable, I’m also getting help & guidance for new things that pop up during my pregnancy. I’ve been seeing Dr. Liz for everything and I cannot recommend her more! She genuinely cares, is patient, and explains things in a pragmatic, easy-to-understand way. The front desk staff are also incredibly friendly and overall the office has a positive vibe around it. Highly, highly recommend!

  • Monica Giannobile

I'm very grateful for Dr. Anna Teerlinck and the team at Lady Bird Physical Therapy. The entire front desk team was very friendly, professional and organized, and Bailey was particularly helpful. She got me in to see Dr. Anna right away, which allowed me to start postpartum rehab exercises while I was still on maternity leave. Dr. Anna helped me understand what is and isn't normal to experience postpartum and helped me feel confident in returning to exercise and connected to my body post-baby. Thank you, Dr. Anna and the Ladybird team!

  • Lydia Simmons

Working with Anna at Lady Bird has been one of the most beneficial and transformative experiences of my life. From day one, Anna has been so supportive and empowering. She is incredibly knowledgeable, a great listener and teacher, and overall just a tremendous joy to be around! After struggling with pain for over 10 years, I noticed significant progress after just a few visits and today I’m feeling better than I ever thought was possible for me. I can’t thank Anna and all the Lady Birds enough for everything they do for their patients.

  • Rachel Segall

My experience at Lady Bird has been exceptionally positive. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Liz is so great. I was pretty nervous and skeptical going into my first appointment, but she has a knack for making patients feel comfortable and safe. I honestly don’t feel awkward at all, and given the nature of pelvic floor PT and my general talent for making situations awkward, that’s really saying something. Most importantly, Liz has helped me feel better and I truly believe I wouldn’t be nearly as far along in my healing without her.

  • Molli Lobo

Liz is a magical physical therapy unicorn! Her presence is comfortable, warm, safe and supportive. I feel empowered each time I leave Lady Bird. I went from feeling lost to feeling like I am in good hands for my healing journey. She addresses the whole body and the whole human. I am deeply grateful to have gotten partnered with her. Thank you, Liz! You are reminding me that I am strong and powerful and that my healing is happening everyday in every way.

  • Jaime Effinger

Definitely recommend Lady Bird PT and Liz. Lady Bird in general was great to work with, scheduling and communication was always super easy, they have great resources on Instagram, and everyone I met in their office was wonderful. Liz was my PT and was amazing. She made me feel super comfortable at all times and taught me quite a bit about prep for labor and delivery, as well as tools to stay strong during pregnancy. Overall great experience!

  • Margaret Vo

I started working with Dr. Liz at 18 weeks pregnant due to having pelvic pain and returned to her for postpartum check up. All of the work she did during our sessions and the exercises that she gave me definitely led me to a smooth labor, delivery and recovery. I am so grateful for her care! She is fun, knowledgeable and responsive. I would definitely go back to Lady Bird PT and see Dr. Liz for any future needs!

  • Amanda Winchester

Highly recommend Shannon Russell, and everyone at Lady Bird Physical Therapy, for compassionate and knowledgeable care. She consistently provided tailored sessions based on my progress and shared information and clear explanations. Beyond the in-person physical therapy at at-home exercises, she shows genuine concern for my health and progress -- I wholeheartedly recommend Shannon.

  • Blair Payne

I had the most fantastic post-partum experience with Lady Bird PT working with Dr. Liz Cote! During pelvic floor PT following birth, I always felt safe and in control of my experience. My PT was as much of an essential part of my post-partum care team as my therapist and doctor. I would recommend Liz and her support to anyone seeking pelvic floor PT or other PT services!

  • Laurel Thiel

I absolutely love Lady Bird PT. I feel completely welcomed by the environment and staff and feel no shame or pressure when it comes to my tight pelvic floor. I’ve just starting working with Dr. Becky and I can tell she is such a kind soul and intelligent woman that I look forward to my next visit and to my eventual healing. I love this woman owned and run business!

  • Ashley Morgan

I’d highly recommend Dr. Liz Cote and Lady Bird PT. I was worried this type of PT would be awkward but Dr. Liz has been great. She explains everything well, makes sure I’m comfortable with treatment plans/the home exercise program, and she is very personable and funny. Staff has been super nice and easy to work with re: scheduling.

  • Natasia Moore

I started coming to Lady Bird PT when I was a few weeks postpartum. I’ve worked with Jessica and Liz and they are both amazing! Liz has helped me so much with pelvic floor stuff and other pregnancy-related symptoms. She and everyone at Lady Bird are so knowledgeable and friendly! LOVE the inclusiveness of this clinic too!

  • sarah tallman

Dr Liz Cote has been wonderful! Truly engaging and understanding. Makes sure to help explain or show exercises in different ways to make sure it clicks as each person is different. Ladybird came recommended by my OBGYN, however has absolutely blown my expectations. Now to find time to do all my exercises with a newborn!

  • Claudia Ullrich

I saw Dr. Shannon Russell and had great results! I learned SO much through the process and now have the tools to maintain on my own. I wish I had done this years ago. Logistically, everything ran smoothly from appointment booking and reminders to billing. I drove from North Austin to come here and I am glad I did!

  • Erin Finley

I went to Lady Bird PT during my pregnancy to learn what I could do to help prepare for an easier birth and delivery and for postpartum support to transition back to exercise in a safe way. Liz was so knowledgeable, provided great recommendations and advice, and made me feel so comfortable throughout the process.

  • Julia Lipton

I've been dealing with endometriosis and pelvic pain for 2 decades. Every time I've tried pelvic PT in the past it's been awful. Lady Bird is the opposite - they make me feel safe, cared for, and we're making good progress. If you're considering pelvic PT Lady Bird is truly the best.

  • Priscilla Harrington

I feel so grateful for my time here! I went from barely being able to walk during my pregnancy (pulled SI) to a full recovery just 7 weeks after I had my baby! Becky and her team are unbelievable and so patient! I was actually really sad to be discharged.
