The people working in the library are very helpful ! Many varieties of books for you to choose from ! There is a toy section there too . Not many kids playing in the library though . Good thing is that the library is quiet ! Bad thing is that you don’t feel like bringing your little one here and spend some time here . A library is also a great place to socialize . There are some homeless people relying on the library for rest and recreation. But they don’t post threat. There is one special guy who likes using the computer and making funny sound . In the first place , feel creepy when you get used to it , kinda funny . I kinda wanna see what show makes him so excited lol One more advice for the library: I do hope there are more lighting in some corner of the library .

This is a good multifunction library which includes many bonuses. There is a small playground, study rooms/meeting rooms, a children's section with neat toys a kids books, videos and computer stations. There are several computers in the teen/adult area. Comfortable easy chairs and tables are located around the floor plan. I have checked out dvd's and cd's that are fun to watch and listen too. This is a medium size library and has had very helpful staff over the years. There is a very nice summer reading program for students which helped my daughter's become better readers and rewards them with a free book upon completion. Stop in and try out this library it is an asset to the Lake City community.

Can someone please help meeeeeee...I live in Everett and because of Covid, I am unable to get a library card. There is a book I really want to read, Its named Ink and Flowers, although no Library near me has it. Would someone please email me [email protected] and let me borrow their card so I can read this book. I promise I have no bad intentions, I have looked for this book everywhere online, and I can't find it. I really desperately want to read it. Thankyou.

This branch is awesome, by far the best SPL branch I have visited!!! I walked over and stayed in the study area for a couple of hours while my car was being serviced at a nearby dealership. Thumbs up to the librarians here for keeping the place super quiet, clean and welcoming! Love the abundance of study rooms, and meeting rooms, comfortable chairs and tables. It is truly an awesome and friendly place for people who want to sit down, focus and study/read/work.

Somewhat small library, but if you have a card at this library then you can request any book from the extensive Seattle library system. Once you request a book, it will be delivered from whatever library in which it is located to this library. In sum: Don't let the size of this library fool you! You can have a massive amount of books sent to this library to check out!

Has lots of community resources in many languages. The printer is very easy to use. Staff have helped me with interlibrary loans and finding books on niche subjects. A well organized display of new books when you enter and go right. The teen resources are very useful and can be found in multiple languages, and if you can't find one staff are willing to help.

Wonderfully helpful desk staff! I went in thinking that it was going to be a long and/or annoying process (maybe involving coins to pay for printing) to get a past year's fed tax form, but they looked it up for me and printed it right off, no charge! 5 minutes in and out. Public services, man- we all pay for them already, and don't even know how to use them!

I have never been in this library before and I will never be back! I found ms the staff to be rude and nasty. Also no one seemed to know anything, if you asked one staff members something they had to refer to someone else- this happened three times in less than 10 minutes! Definitely won't be back due to their rudeness!

This place is great, and the staff that I've interacted with have always been friendly and helpful. I don't borrow any physical items from libraries anymore, so these days I use this library for free printing. I only need to print a few times a year, and this library location is just a brief walk away.

Nice and clean bathroom open. Some people was rude with large conversation kinda annoying until I put my ear buds in. Negative i was at the computer and a man was next to me shooting up I watched him nod on and off it was really sad and disrespectful children like to go to the library. Dude do better

Great library to borrow a book, use the computer, or study. The library has been recently remodeled, giving it a welcoming and clean environment. The staff are nice and willing to help. It is very child/family friendly, although the kids are sometimes a little too loud.

Very clean and well-kempt library. The library was renovated in 2019 and looks really good - probably almost as good as when it first reopened. The librarians were very nice and helpful, but I was struck by how kind the security guard was on a recent Wednesday night.

The last time I visited the Lake City Library, it was nice. Clean and quiet, good tables with lamps down the center like in New York. Weird hours though. I don't really need the library any more, sad to say, the Internet has replaced it completely.

Too many drug addicts and homeless who are scary and rude and have no respect for property or others....STAY AWAY...and the library seems to do NOTHING...no security that I've seen during the day....broken bottles needle caps....close it down

This is a great local library, and the remodel turned out wonderfully! It's in a super convenient location, has lots of seating, plenty of space, and I love that my holds always arrive quickly. My only complaint is that I wish it was bigger.

  • Bob Cook

First of all you can never use the men's bathroom at the lake City branch it's full of homeless people doing drugs and being weird I feel very uncomfortable and unsafe using the restroom. It's always cold and the furniture is uncomfortable.

Easy walk-in passport application experience, with no appointment necessary. I went at 1: 30pm on a Friday and there was no line. The person behind the counter was super easy to work with, and polite. I was out of there in 10 minutes. YMMV.

  • Oleg C

I was here multiple times with my daughter. The personnel is extremely friendly and helpful. We like to attend activities here. A lot of volunteers helping children and a lot of fun is here. Love this place. We would like to come more.

  • Rachel LaRoche

I went in on a Friday around noon. Took my 3 yr old grandson. The wonderful Children's Librarian was very helpful in finding just the right books for discussing anger. The library was clean, organized and quiet. Lovely.

  • Jeremy Maxwell

Had a sign on the door - "temporary hours: closing at 6pm", but opted to leave the google maps hours as open until 8:00, so anyone who went there between 6:00 and 8:00 would be out in the snow for a few extra minutes

Place is cleaning peaceful , If I have to go to a library and had to choose from all the ones here in Seattle it would Definitely be lake city library . But you'll have to check it out yourself to see what I mean .

  • Maria Saint Francis

I love it here. The staff is very nice and it's a wonderful little libary, very much like the ones I grew up with and visited daily. It's one of the reasons I don't want to leave Lake City.

  • Neesa Dove

Love this library especially Nancy Pew and then Nancy Garrett who is the teen librarian. Been going to this library since I was 7 and will keep going to this library for a long time

  • Juleen Keller

My library card was all messed up. Didn't get their names, 2 different librarians helped me straighten it out. They were so nice, and helpful, and got me a new card quickly.

  • Tesfaye Aklilu

I real like the librarian with blonde braids. I go to Lynwood to see her. I watch her put book away. She also push chair good . I try say hi but she has ear music on.

  • Teresa T.

This library and all it's staff are wonderful! I've gotten assistance with my laptop, coping documents, finding books! The folks are always eager to help.
