I came here to visit Bruce and this was my favorite part of going to Seattle. This is the nicest cemetery I have been to. As you enter and look around, you will see impressive tombstones all throughout. It's pretty amazing. If you are looking to pay your respects to Bruce, look to the top where the flag pole is. He will be just steps away from there (TIP: you will also see a beautiful stone bench right in front ). So bring flowers and make sure not to come too late as the cemetery hours don't appear to be the same year round. PARKING You can park outside and walk in or drive in and find a spot that has enough room for you to stop.
One of the most peaceful and inspiring burial grounds I've ever laid foot in. It opens the eyes of your inner soul to question your current place in life and the universe to take inventory and assess is that where you want to be in life currently, are you content, or would you like to change some things around and live a fuller, more content exsiatance. It's a path to self-actualization, and motivates one to make the required changes to achieve such a goal. For me it has taken about 5 trips there to come to come to this conclusion of the hallowed, sacred, blessed souls, spirits, and vessels resting there......
Very Well maintained cemetery of historic importance .... It is about a 145 years old and is the final resting place of many great people including Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee.. Visit the office of the cemetery across the road before going in. They have a map to guide you to Bruce Lee as there won't be signs in the cemetery. They also have a walking tour list which has the names of all important people resting here. Special Thanks to a lady in the office who looks strikingly similar to a young Judi Dench, I visited master Lee without any problems.
Visited My Idol "Bruce Lee & his son Brandon" is a clean quiet scenic cemetery. From the entrance you look diagonally up to your left & up above before the American Flag, it's where you'll find his grave site. You'll probably notice a crowd of people there since it's the most visited site. Please don't just throw flowers it looks trashy, try to place them flat on ground, facing you & try to roll down the paper so everyone else can see the flowers & not just paper thrown on the floor. I left him some oranges, incense & gave a little prayer!
Terrible.. i traveled all the way to Seattle to see Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee's grave, only to find it closed. When i inquired in the office they said it was due to weather... does this look bad to you? This is just pure laziness by Lakeview cemetery.. pretty sad. I saw countless people drive up in the 15 i was there.. apparently the weather wasnt bad enough for employees to come and go, yet visitors were not allowed. Here is a photo of an employee driving in while visitors were denied
The main attraction is Bruce and Brandon Lee graves. The cemetery is full of notable Seattleites such as: Arthur A. Denny, Henry Yesler, Princess Angeline (Chief Seattle’s daughter), Captain William Renton, John W. Nordstrom, Guy Carleton Phinney, George Tsutakawa, the Ballinger family (Ballinger Way/Lake in Snohomish County) and other notable figures. I spent about an hour walking around the grounds. You have a few places where you can see the Space Needle off in the distance.
Very nicely landscaped, the lawns are clean and nicely mowed. It can be seen that someone really maintains that place. I noticed that it can be reached inside by car. I was personally there to visit the tomb of the legendary Bruce Lee and his son Brandon Lee. I was surprised how many people from my little Serbia were buried inside this cemetery. I am thrilled with the cleanliness inside. There is a beautiful view of the lake, hence the name Lake View.
It is next to the Volunteer Park but you need to enter from 15th avenue. The cemetery is spacious and tranquil. Occasionally there are cars driving through, but most of the time there are only people walking around. I don’t why but I always enjoy walking in a cemetery, this is a hobby I developed once in Pittsburgh and I carry it since then. I never feel frightened or horrified once walking next to tomb stones, but only feel peaceful and calm.
I was recently reminded of the Korematsu decision which allowed for the forcible relocation of US citizens to concentration camps. I went to the memorial for the US soldiers of Japanese Ancestry, who fought and died for a country that removed their family from their homes explicitly on the basis of race. Go here to help remind yourself that 'the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.'
Old Seattle’s resting place. Everybody comes for Bruce Lee but Angelina Sealth (Chief Sealth’s daughter ) is buried here as well as the Denny family, Yesler’s and many others (my great and great great grandmother too, relations of Ricksecker the engineer who put a road into Mount Rainier park). If you like cemeteries you’ll like this one.
The cemetery is quite scenic and a short walk from the Volunteer Park. The highlight for me is Bruce and Brandon Lee's grave site. I grew up watching Bruce films and I was glad to able to pay my respect to the Master in person. I would also recommend the Bruce Lee exhibit at The Wing Luk museum (International District)
Cemetery of millionaires park-like setting many high headstones Main Attraction the Garfield Monument President Garfield is buried there and the Chapel one of six Tiffany rooms in the world considered the best Tiffany room in the world walking paths a pond beautiful Shrubbery a must-see
Beautiful resting place for so many with a view of Lake Washington. Some people mentioned that it was a quiet place. I was there in July 2016 and it wasn't very peaceful. Traffic was busy especially around Bruce and Brandon Lee's grave. The cemetery was well kept though.
I had one wish on my birthday, which was to visit Bruce Lee at his resting place. My last gift before I go off to college. On a day google says it was open. I bought flowers and made the day trip up to seattle. and it was closed seattle should be ashamed of itself.
Bruce lee the man the myth the legend this was a bucket list for me to visit in Seattle I was taken back a little because Bruce lee was a big part of my growing up films the master his self. I paid my respects to Bruce lee and Brandon rip
It's location is like no other and is the nicest cemetery I've seen. I have a relative there, his name is Austin Americus Bell and came to Seattle with the first settlers. Bell town and a few of the streets are named after his father and
Clean and well taken care of. Home to Bruce and Brandon Lee’s graves. The amount of people that have come through there has taken its toll on the ground right at the site but the groundskeepers have done a very good job of upkeep
It was my first time to visit Bruce Lee’s & his son’s place in person. This place makes us all think about what the life is. Bruce Lee’s life and his philosophy are truly enough to give all of us a sort of awakening moment.
Beautiful place to rest in peace, very important and interesting cemetery, most of the famous people and names that founded the city rest in here as well the remaining of the famous actor and his son, Bruce and Brandon Lee.
Florida Native - Beautiful colorful location during the fall. I was expecting much more people around. Surprisingly no one. Some tombstones age as late as the early 1800's, cool history. Very clean and quite location.
Cause Someone Very Special To Me Is Here, and I Would Love Nothing More Than To Be Able To Come Here And Visit Him Some Day and Take A Picture By His Grave Site. Love You Brandon Lee Always and Forever! …
As noted, it is a nice peaceful place. Very well maintained, it has beautiful views and of course is the final resting place of many notable Seattle residents from the past. Great for history buffs.
Visited WW2 NISEI WAR MEMORIAL MONUMENT dedicated in 1949 to 56 Seattle area Japanese American Servicemen who died in service to America. A quiet, yet powerful monument to American Exceptionalism.
RIP to Bruce and Brandon, but the cemetery needs to up their security. A homeless schizophrenic was shouting insults and racist remarks at my family while we were trying to pay our respects.
I Once Told My Wife I Knew Where Bruce Lee & Brandon Bruce Lee Was Buried. Time Had Passed & We Vacationed In Seattle. After A Restful Night's Sleep, We Made Our Way To LakeView Cemetery.
This was a place on my to do list while we visited Seattle. We saw his grave stone by chance, we had no idea where he was resting, so we decided to look for the crowd and sure enough.
Beautiful trees, 360deg views of Seattle and one of the best epitaphs on Brandon Lee's grave. Unfortunately like many North American cemeteries it's not very pedestrian friendly.
Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee are buried next to each other here, easy access to pay your respects. Next to Volunteer park. A nice easy trip for someone visiting Seattle.
This is a beautiful forever resting place for so many. Of course, you'll also find Bruce and Brandon Lee, we were humbled to pay our respects to these two legends.
This is a very beautiful cemetery, with nice views and a lot to see. Great plants and trees too. It is quiet, a wonderful place for reflection and solitude.
I have four Love ones here. Its hard when a love one passes away,The people at Lake View were helpful and kind. I believe my love ones are peaceful there.
I visited Bruce and his son a few times, I was even there after someone stole their headstones, no respect. I wonder if they ever caught the scum ?
A legend is under these grounds. This is amazing, so happy I drove here from Lakewood. Totally worth it, Bruce Lee and his Son are very missed.
Site of Bruce and Brandon Lee’s gravesites. Beautiful cemetery. Easy to navigate. So many types of trees and shrubbery. Very clean and quiet.
Nice small "hilltop" cemetery. The final resting place of Bruce Lee. What more can you say. He is a legend and will always be remembered.
Bruce Lee was laid to rest here. Pretty awesome that even on a heavy rainy day, there were still people coming here to view his grave.
This is a special place.... from the resting place of the first mayor of Seattle to Bruce Lee and son to WWI vets and rich families
Well kept grounds that have quite a few family plots throughout to pay respects. Bruce and Brandon Lee have been laid to rest here.
One of my favorite parks in Seattle. Beautiful place to lie under the sun and enjoy. Great place for group meetings.
Beautiful kept cemetery. Take a walk around its such a peaceful spot, you might stumble on some famous graves ;)
Awesome history here. Came too see Cobain and he is not here. Either way we were able to see the Lee family.
