The venue offers an intimate experience and staff are friendly. A wedding during the week right after another over the weekend does appear to take its toll. The menu sounds impressive but the actual food is okay. The rooms are neat and the self-catering lodges are welcoming. If you need a cold place to put your beers you might want to organise some more cold storage. Would have been nice to see staff helping a bit more with setting up for the event. A special mention would have to be Rose who is friendly and goes out of her way to try and help. The view is spectacular but the venue just drops the ball in some other key areas.

Just a little heads up for young families looking to book for accommodation. Especially those having their delayed wedding/special occasions after COVID. There is unfortunately a discrepancy on the website where it states that children are allowed in the luxury king bnb suite. Called just before booking to find out that children are not allowed in any bnb rooms and are only allowed in the individual units. Have notified them of the issue. Was really looking forward to staying after our wedding but unfortunately will have to search else where. I'm sure that it is lovely though. Hope this helps.

A stunning, well maintained lodge with amazing views over the whole of Gordons Bay. Very central to most attractions. Rose was extremely helpfull with places to visit and making sure our every need was met! Breakfast was a massive spread of delicious food! Wifi was available and safe parking. Swimming pool, treatment room etc and Dinner on request. We will most definately be back!

I had the pleasure of staying in the Luxury King Room (room 1) from 15 June to 19 June. It is the perfect combination of luxury and comfort. Rose and her staff are very friendly and helpful. There are different breakfast selections to suit everyone's taste. Dstv and wifi available. You can also watch Netflix with your own login details.

What a wonderful experience we had at Lalapanzi Lodge. We were attending a wedding close by and needed accomodation. I was expecting basic accomodation but to our surprise we were met with a well run establishment. The lodge is well maintained and the view is absolutely stunning. We could not have ask for better accomodation. I would not hesitate to recommend Lalapanzi Lodge.

This was beautiful. Not only because we got engaged here. Lovely pool between the woods with tanning beds. The rooms were lovely, fan, aircon, TV small fridge, simple and homey. I also like the wood and the decor. I would love to go back in winter to use the fire place in the room. Beds were clean and I slept like I never want to wake up. Our room had a outside area overlooking the beautiful area of somerset west and nature. Our dinner was toe die for, thank you Danie!

Wij verblijven meerdere keren op LalapanziLodge en we blijven steeds verwonderd over deze accommodatie. De kamers zijn prima, het personeel is vriendelijk, de chef zorgt voor heerlijke maaltijden, en ook de ligging en het uitzicht zijn erg mooi. Heerlijk rustig tussen de wijnvelden en toch niet ver van Kaapstad en de andere toeristische plaatsen. Kortom: een aanrader !

I've been coming here almost every year the day after Christmas for about 6 or 7 years and in that time I have not had one bad experience. It is the most gorgeous, peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The service is absolutely stunning and the staff are all kind and make you feel at home. Recommend this place 100%!!

We enjoyed our stay at Lalapanzi Lodge (2 nights) and the extraordinary view. Marie, Rose and the whole staff are very lovely people. Vergelegen and other beautiful places/wineyards are close. Thank you for this amazing experience.

A beautiful cozy lodge in the mountain, surrounded by pine forest, with sea views. The rooms are amazing with every luxury you could want. There's also a beautiful swimming pool to cool off. The chef made us some of the best food we have ever eaten. If we ever have the chance to go again we would love to.

We stayed for 4 nights and our only regret is that we were so busy, we didn't not get a chance to enjoy more that the lodge has to offer. It is so peaceful and beautiful, staff very friendly and helpful. Just an amazing spot and highly recommended if you want to get away from life. Thank you xx

I came here to recover after major surgery. I must say, it was like a home away from home. The hostess Sue, looked after us like we were family. Such a beautiful setting, with beautiful hike trails, vineyards nearby. I highly recommend it xx

I have had the joy of marrying may couples at this beautiful venue. It never gets old and dull. As a marriage officer I get excited every time I know I am going back here. A real Swiss log cabin type feel with awesome views of Gordon's Bay. The Staff are top class and the service.

First rate. My daughter held her wedding there on November 18th. Thanks to Marie Helene, Rose and chef Danie she and everyone else had a dream day and night. The place and location are divine and the management take every effort to ensure that their clients are cared for. 100%
