I work for myself repairing windows and replacing glass. Whilst at a customers home in Mississauga I had the homeowner come to me saying there was someone wanting to speak to me at the door. Thinking it was one of the neighbors wanting some work done I repositioned the piece of glass I was in the midst of replacing and went to the door. There was a couple at the door looking like a pair of Jehovas witnesses, but they wanted to discuss selling me insurance. My van is signwritten with my office number and website enough to make contact through. But oh no she thought I would drop everything and want to know more! Who in their right mind thinks it is acceptable knock on a homeowners door to ask to speak to the contractor they have called into do work and try to sell them insurance? Distracted and p!ssed off with the sales woman from Landmark, I was asked by the homeowner to move my van to one side, not thinking I moved the van forgetting I had a few pieces of glass not secured awaiting to replace ... crash the glass falls scratching a big iece on the other side of the van costing me money to replace and leaving me swearing infront of the customers daughter. Had this Landmark sales lady not interfered with my task it would not have happened. I called her, and left a message for her to call me. When she called I told her what I thought of her sale approach to which she thought I was rude the issues she'd caused, she then blamed the homeowner for responding to her request to get me despite him saying I was busy she insisted. I would not touch this companys insurance on the basis their staff have no respect for other peoples time!

My wife has a call from some lady Roni Van Tassel, at first it was weird because my wife is a digital marketing student with tons of sales experience but did not apply for the position. Anyway this woman pushes her to take an interview, my wife who had repeatedly told this woman she didn’t want to do insurance sales, she didn’t want to pay for the licensing specially since my is already a student and won’t have time, Roni forced her into it saying “oh my company LandMark Canada will cover your cost for licensing once you complete it, just talk to my boss and blah blah blah.” My wife missed his call as she was busy with our children and her schooling. Fast forward to August 22nd at freaking 8:30am, when Roni takes it upon her self to call my wife and tells her “he called you and you missed it, for future reference learn to deal with people better” to which my wife replied “ya know I was willing to hear you guys out but after having to deal with you, forget it.” Roni literally huffed told my wife send a F’in email next time, and my wife replied with “all because I don’t want to work with your company….lol? The woman hung up and well here we are. @Landmark if this is the kind of idiots you have working for you, with no people skills who think this is how you speak to people then I expect your company to be rebranding very soon. I suggest you get better reps to represent your name. My wife has a very sizeable social media following and I’m sure she will be posting her own review on your company.

My husband and I have been with this company since fall 2019, and since I have made a couple claims for minor non work related injuries, and have had zero issues doing so. When I was first approached about this insurance I was skeptical, and turned it down. After the Landmark agent had driven 4 hours to meet with me, she was nothing but pleasant when I did so and ensured me I could contact her anytime to discuss the program further. After some thinking I decided I wanted to go ahead with it, but was only able to meet with her at 5:00am, and she was totally fine with that. She drove out of her way to meet where it was convenient for me, and we took care of all the paperwork in the back of her vehicle quick and easily. Whenever I have had questions about anything, she has always responded within minutes, making me feel comforted and secure every-time. The La Capital claims agent I deal with is also wonderful. He is easy to talk to, straight to the point, and has been nothing but super helpful with both my claims. Overall I am extremely happy with the service this company has provided me. I have always been paid immediately with no hassle. I trust them fully and always feel they are on my side. I would highly recommend this insurance to anyone.

A culture based on integrity, good principles and high ideals. I've been a part of the Landmark family since 2013 and can say we are people who truly want to make a difference and help our clients. From our CEO, who originally help design the unique protection we provide, all the way to the new professionals beginning their career with us. Insurance isn't an easy topic to discuss, so every single agent we hire is exceptionally well trained to help educate our clients about the gaps in personal protection many people currently have. We are advocates for our clients and do our best to get this information to you. We know, if our clients are able to qualify for our programs, we can provide true peace of mind when tragedy strikes. At our core, we are in the people business, and protecting you and your family is our privilege.

I received a call saying that I would be a good fit for a position at Landmark. The person who called immediately booked an interview for me without screening me properly, that was my red alert! After years of experience working with sales and C-level, I thought it weird so I decided to email my contact and ask her about the job's title, job's description, company market position T1, T2 etc. and I just received a flaked answer. I am very happy my experience saved my time, money and expectations from this kind of "organization". Just a humble suggestion for everyone: DO NOT accept an interview without having a clear scope of the Position, job description, targets, etc. A serious company would try to know everything about you and would have clear information about the position they want to feel. Best of luck everyone.

I have been associated with Landmark for over 10 years. I find that Landmark has a great leadership team of successful people who are set on helping new entrepreneurs succeed in the business. For this, the leaders of the company, leave no stone unturned and offer excellent focused training on all aspects of the business. The management follows the philosophy that while you must work hard to become successful, you need not be by yourself on the journey. True to this philosophy, they stand with you all the way and that is why there are so many successful people in Landmark, Canada. The people at Landmark, Canada are good hearted professionals who want people to succeed and they have very innovative products to offer. I will recommend Landmark as a go-to company, for people who want to become businesspersons.

Negative gut feeling throughout the whole interview, so I went in, at first things went well, because he thought I was going to join, but then there was almost subtle indirect sense of disrespect when I said no, I’m not interested in a pure sales commission job. It was apparent mr years in the sales industry still has a big ego and takes things personal. I went in feeling good, came back feeling worse. Somethings didn’t add up, people in the reviews saying it’s a scam.... well I’m not sure if it is or isn’t, but definitely not my cup of tea. Ps, if your reading this Mr.owner.... You Wiped your nose very subtlety while giving me the middle finger and think I didn’t notice... well I noticed very clearly and you gave me every reason to not join your disability insurance company.

Got an email from an Indeed posting. Asked to come for an interview tomorrow. When there is a rush, something is always wrong. Asked them what they sold, they said Financial, e-learning and baby brands. I have gone to these "interviews of many people".before so I was weary. Finally I asked...is there a salary, she said the interviewer would have to tell me that. There's the red flag. Said, sorry, I can't come in. Sad they can't be truthful and not waste your half day....when they are just stringing you along. I've been in sales for 25 years. If you're potential employer is full of this much BS imagine how full of BS you'll have to be to your potential customer. Whatever the product. I hear it's 100% commission Insurance Sales.

An amazing company to work with and for! As we are all independent agents within our company, it does take a motivated and focused individual to see the tremendous opportunities to earn a very good income. I can say truthfully that the company stands behind their people. The bonus structure and acknowledgement is like no other company I have worked with. We are supported in our success through Leadership and Clinic conference calls 3 times a week and have weekly meetings to further our success. Not only this we also share in the clients that we have helped and changed their lives. How rewarding is that to hear that you truly make a difference in people's lives. So honoured to say Landmark Canada is the company I work with!

  • Melanie Cohen

This is a scam. I received an invitation to a job interview and went, but it was not an interview so much as an aggressive sales pitch. The job is selling insurance for 100% commission but they are not forthright in providing the details. They use aggressive and manipulative tactics to sign you up, including claiming there are a range of jobs available (none of which involve selling insurance) but you need to spend more time doing an online psychological assessment before they can determine which one is right for you. How about just providing job descriptions and asking the candidate which jobs they are qualified for and are interested in? So my advice is don't waste your time on this dubious firm.

Well we sometimes read reviews when we're trying to make important life decisions like working at a new company. I am so glad that I didn't only rely on the negative comments of the naysayers who didn't know what they were talking about. I began working with Landmark Canada three and a half years ago and I could not be happier! The company is built on integrity High principles and morals and there's a fantastic opportunity for anybody who is professional and looking for a business opportunity What I appreciate most is the help and support and training that you get every step of the way through your career. The money is good and the company incentive trips are excellent. I highly recommend it!!!

I have been self-employed within a high risk trade for decades. I was lucky to avoid any accidents or sicknesses until I wasn’t and ended up with an injury that caused me many hours missed working and lost cash while working hurt and slowed down. When Amanda called me after finding my number online, I was willing to hear her out. We booked a meeting and she reviewed how the program worked, answered all of my questions and provided top notch service from our first call through to my policy arriving. Worth taking the time to look at! I have referred many friends and family to the program already who are also now clients. Thank you Amanda.

  • Adam Brink

Exceptional Experience! I have been with the company for over 10 years and have stayed because the company pays its claims. The People, The Product, the Compensation and the Customer Service are consistently reinforcing the fantastic Reputation Landmark Canada has built within the self employed and small-med Business Community. Representing this company and the unique products they provide is something I am extremely proud of. It has been a pleasure to serve our clients with the confidence that the company does what it says its going to do. Integrity is everything.

  • Jenna Morin

Exceptional company to work for. Positive, enthusiastic and extremely supportive. I've been with the company for 3 years now and look forward to continuing to build my career here. I make a great income and I have only positives to say about my experience. Its so nice to have found a group of people who believe in what I believe in and who want more out of life then the trap of mediocracy. If you are lazy, a negative person, or on the cynical side, you will not fit well with this company. -great colleagues, fantastic income, and truly a company of integrity.

I’ve worked with this company for over 10 years now, and it’s the best career decision that I’ve ever made. Not everyone has the entrepreneurial mindset needed, or perhaps would simply prefer a 9-5, but if you are willing to work hard with the right mindset, you can’t find a better opportunity where you can grow without a glass ceiling, and the support here is unparalleled. Wouldn’t change my decision to join for the world. (Well, maybe two worlds...)

  • Megan Kingston

I am an accountant and recreational horseback rider. I have career goals and being in my 20’s, my ability to earn to produce the life I want is important to me. An accident or sickness would cause great strain that I have protected myself with an incredibly comprehensive policy from Landmark Canada. My agent Amanda, was incredibly patient with me, explained everything clearly and has provided me top notch service since being a client. Highly recommend!

  • Claire Batta

I recently became an agent with Landmark Canada. I am so impressed with the amazing one on one training they provide. Great people, who provide you with the tools and support you need to do an amazing job! Landmark is an amazing place to work, for the entrepreneurial minded individual. Knowing I am helping the self employed to protect not only there business, but their family as well, is a great feeling! I highly recommend Landmark Canada.

  • Lorina Stephens

In these COVID times you don't just walk into someone's backyard, uninvited, unmasked, and huckster your way into a conversation about how a person needs more, better, self-employed disability insurance when they are already insured to the extreme. And then you don't go behind that person's back, when you've been told "not interested ", and then chat up the husband. Like we'd ever trust an individual like that.

  • Kevin B

I've been in the financial services industry for 30+ years and I wish I'd been aware of Landmark Canada long before now. Their people, products, training and support, commision and bonus structures are fantastic. Landmark is a great place to be if you have a positive attitude and are motivated. The products and service they provide to the self-employed and tradespeople really are second-to-none!

  • Christopher Spataro

I've been a client of La Capitale for the past 3 years with an accidental insurance policy and overall been very pleased with my package thus far. In addition, I would have to especially thank my agent Kevin Rocha for this. He has demonstrated professionalism, knowledge of product & patience since I started with the company. You definitely have a recommendation from me!

  • Kevin Rocha

LandmarkCanada provides premium service, and the staff are always willing to help. I would encourage anyone who is thinking of having them protect themselves and their family to do so. This company has a history of integrity and honor. They have helped me when I have needed them the most, and I will continue being a advocate for them. Keep up the great work guys

  • Hassan P

All the negative 1 star reviews here are accurate. I wasted a lot of time and gas with this company. They will try to sell you on the success of 1 to 2 sales rep who actually may be making 80-100k meanwhile 30-40 of them are making well below minimum wage and vicious employee turnover cycles every few days. Fresh University Grads - do not waste your time.

  • Harry Bakker

This company has a great atmosphere of support and care for its agents. The leadership is phenomenal. I've been both a long term client of Landmark and also a representative and can honestly say they are sincerely passionate about their service and strive to be professional. I highly recommend!

  • Kenneth Spurling

Claiming is sometimes a rocky road with other insurers, but not with Landmark. My friend, a garden designer, slipped at home and sprained her wrist. Her doctor agreed that she could not do her job for 6 weeks. Landmark paid her complete benefit right away for the full six weeks.

  • Betty Hamilton

Totally impressed with the compassion and professionalism that my husband received when he was injured. The process for making a claim for his injury was quick and simple and we received benefits that were expected within 4 business days.

  • Trudy Moncrieff

I have been with Landmark for nearly six years. I have truly never been with a company that provides so much support. I stand by their products and services 100%. I am honored to be apart of Landmark Canada.

  • slantnose1

its a scam, don't buy into the opportunity of the so called position. They emailed me saying they had a position they wanted to interview for but could tell me nothing about it .. read the reviews …

  • Lawrence Contant

Proud to represent an ethical, compassionate and professional company offering comprehensive income protection to the hard working self employed, key personnel and trades people in Canada.

  • Yahya Saeed

Landmark Canada is the best of the best at what they do. Excellent service but most importantly the people live by high standards which makes them trust worthy to work with.

  • Shouldice Contracting

Wonderful experience dealing with Amanda on taking our personal insurance. Very prompt, professional, and took the time to explain my coverage. Would recommend to anybody!

  • Sathees Sinnanainar

A great organization that believes in helping their clients, down to earth staff and willing to go extra mile to help their client, definitely recommend to anyone.

  • S D

Seeing previous 1 star comments and same issues, showing up and talking about something had no interest in and the pressure and ignorance was disgusting by agent.

  • Carrie H (Frankie)

Landmark Canada and the products they sell are par none. I am speaking as a client who has been paid when injured and as a consultant. Great team and products.

  • Holly Carter

Just like every other insurance company. You get hurt and now they bring up stupid reasons as to why you arnt covered. Don't waste your money.
