Our first time here. I believe it us a hidden jem. They even have One Car that visitors can touch, sit inside, take photos in, it gives little extra fun, enjoy & imagine how it would be driving down the road in this jem. (Fun idea ☆). They have such unique vehicles, that you can't see anywhere else in the states. I do suggest they install more benches through the warehouse (show room), these would help when handicap visitors can sit for a few minutes, then continue enjoying all the amazing cars. ~This would enable older visitors to maybe bring there grandchildren. Or like my husband & myself just enjoy all they have to offer (but our bodies, don't always want to cooperate, lol). Presently there is only one bench inside the entire exhibit. I do recommend they also have some kind if benches to sut while you come in & purchase your ticket to enter........because if you can't stand long (Like myself, you have to wait while to Cashier rings up, a customer in the gift shop). They truly need some kind of bench close by the cashier to assistance customers, while they wait. They truly are a must stop in Nashville. If you enjoy cars, then you must see all the unique vehicles. Enjoy.

This is one of the best museums I've been to in a long time. I haven't always been into cars or automotive, but I couldn't stop smiling in this museum. I love seeing the classic cars, especially the limited production makes and models. The cars from the Highway Aircraft Association really stood out to me. This is a motor museum, so they also have Aircraft and Motorcycles and Lightweight Experimental cars and bikes, so I really enjoyed that aspect of it as well. Check out the middle-seat drivers, vans that look like airplanes, and other really cool exhibits! There are also some display cases and archives, but we didn't have time to go through the archives this time. There's even a truck with a S-10 engine that was made to look like a Hot Wheels Toolbox! I enjoyed every part of this museum. We were visiting family in Nashville and looking for things to do, and this was the perfect idea. We had a really good time! Thanks! 5 Stars, you should come check this out!

I have seen features on television about this place and didn't realize it was the same museum. I am thrilled that we decided to visit. Such a great attraction and awesome vehicles that the average car show person has never experienced. This will be a must see again if I ever get back to Nashville. Definitely carve out 3+ hours if you enjoy autos and maybe an hour if you're not really into them, but a must see if you visit Nashville. The admission to the museum is reasonable and will be the best money spent while you're in town. I'm in awe and loved everything about this place. If I lived in Nashville I'd either find a way to work there or visit on a regular basis.

This place is amazing. I've been in the automotive service industry over 36 years and my son suprised me today with us showing up at the museum. I just moved my son out here from North Carolina it was great walking around and seeing all those amazing vehicles and talking car talk with my son. It is well worth the extra money to take the tour of the vehicles they have in the basement. This building was a bread factory for years and then they turned into an amazing transportation exhibition of all kinds of stuff. The young man that gave the guided tour was very knowledgeable about the vehicles they had downstairs. They even have vehicles down there are for sale.

Wow, what an awesome museum! They have a LOT of rare, one-off micro cars, three wheeled cars, unusual cars plus some small aircraft and scooters and motorcycles. There also are models, bicycles and cutaway engines to see how they work as well. It is also extremely kid-friendly with a large indoor playground! The side garage is also interesting with a handful of military vehicles and the whopping big amphibians landing craft out the back! There was plenty of parking out the front or back. The restrooms were clean and tidy as well.

Lane Motor Museum has a truly great collection of cars from all over the world. You can view an eclectic array of vehicles on two wheels as bicycles, motorbikes, and scooters; or vehicles on 3, 4, and more wheels! This collection will draw interest from people of all ages and backgrounds. They also do tours of the basement where another double or even triple the amount of cars resides that are rotated out to the museum floor periodically. Stop by the next time you are on the south side of Nashville, you won't be disappointed!

So happy I visited. Definitely recommend visiting. Parking in garage to the left when entering. There’s some additional cars to view in the garage. No outside food or beverages. Can’t get inside of the cars, but you can easily see the inside from the outside of the windows. I went alone on a Monday morning and it wasn’t too busy, which I loved! Great for allowing me to throughly look at every car and read their description. Would definitely come back with a friend or family. $12

I've got a lot of photos to share, but honestly, it's not the same as being there. Take some time out of your day, plan a trip from out of state, whatever you have to do to see this place. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. The cost is absolutely reasonable for the things you'll see. Many of these vehicles still drive, although you won't be able to do the driving. Even if you aren't a car enthusiast, this place is fun to visit. It's amazing to see cars from so many different places and rare finds as well.

My 2.5yo is in love with Lane Motor Museum. AKA “the car place”. They have a killer play area with tons of ride-ons and other automobile related toys plus books and a coloring area. After playing we do a speed round of looking at all of the amazing collection at Lane. It’s no touching so that can be a challenge for a toddler but he’s getting the hang of it. Clean and temperature controlled. I recommend the family membership pass for anyone with a car crazed kiddo at home.

This museum has a great selection of unique, vintage, European cars and trucks. There’s a large open space to walk around in, with not much separating you from the vehicles. You can’t get inside of them, but you can access most cars from all sides. I love typography, and there some car badge gems here. The gift shop is small, but there are fun auto-related gifts, key chains, and car model sets. If you like cars you won’t be disappointed with this place

I discovered this place while looking for something cool to take my son for a father-son outing. My son loves cars and this place did not disappoint! We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy which was nice. There were so many unique cars, automobiles, and even bicycles on display! Even the smell of all the vintage cars made the experience even better. Each automobile on display has a sign next to it with history, facts, and specs of them which was cool to compare them all.

What an amazing place to visit. I'm not a car fanatic but I would say that this place made me more appreciative of all the hard work of the makers of cars. I literally felt like I went back in time through the different cars on exhibit. I would highly recommend this place as a destination when visiting for all ages. They had a cute place for little kids to play so that the adults can enjoy these antique, unique and beautiful cars.

My husband and I visited and were blown away by the rare vehicles they have. They even fired one of them up and revved the engine. I really love how they have plaques for every vehicle (I've been to some car museums that lack info, which is always a bummer when you want to know more about a certain vehicle). All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. We even took the additional tour of the downstairs (they said it's only available on weekends, but DEFINITELY worth the extra ten bucks per person if you enjoyed the upstairs portion).

  • Martin S

This is a very cool and unique museum that's definitely worth a visit. The museum has an extensive collection of specialty cars and vehicles that you will likely not see anywhere else. Twice a day (around 11;30am and 2pm I believe), for an additional fee, they also have a guided tour of 300 more cars otherwise not available to regular ticket holders. If you are a car buff you'll probably want to take the tour.

Worth seeing, this place is a hidden gem for motor and engineering enthusiast. The owner started this project in the 90's. The museum has card from all over the world during the technology and industrial boom. So there's great history and cool vehicles to see. If it has wheels he has it or is getting it. Family friendly, parking is free, and they give Military discounts.

Incredible! Lane Motor Museum is the cat’s meow, the number one museum. I’ve visited dozens of automotive museums around the country and Lane is one of the most unique. With a wide range of imports and hard to find one-offs, you can spend hours in here and not see everything and never get bored. Not only unique, one of a kind vehicles but artwork, tools, airplanes, you name it. Very reasonable admission price and if you come at the right time, get the “underground” tour, it’s worth it!

  • Kristin Matheny

There were so many unusual cars, some that were only made once. I highly recommend this place for auto enthusiasts, or even for people who like the unique. The cost is $10 per person, with an additional charge if you want to tour the cars that are not on display. While we were there, we were able to see a car started that had a propeller. It was fantastic!

This is truly a great place to visit who loves cars. As advertised this place has several vintage cars on displays with details about each models. Best thing about this place is that people associated knows the technology behind these cars. Apart from the overall variety of cars in display their talk show was icing on the cake. Worth visiting…

I loved this place! I was a little rushed and wish I could have stayed longer. I’m not a gear head, but I appreciate interesting and unusual cars and the Lane has them in abundance. I’ll probably go back next time I’m in Nashville. I also think $12 for admission is more than fair and appreciate the friendly staff and super clean facilities.

An incredible museum. I learned about this place from several YouTubers that have done videos here, and it was better than I imagine. The lighting in the main hall is great for viewing all the cars. I could have probably spent another 5 hours in there. The staff were great and very knowledgeable. I hope to come back some time.

Amazing collection of cars with so much information about each one. It took around 2 hours to get around the first floor of the museum and although we weren't able to see the lower floor tour, it was still such a wonderful experience. The gift shops also had a range of cool collectables. Would 100% recommend for a day out

Great selection of cars from all around the world. Excellent selection of Kei Cars from Japan too. Best is no barriers. Just don't touch the cars. Having no barriers or ropes makes for better pictures and you can see I to the cars better. Love this place. It has a good selection of motorbikes and amphibian vehicles too.

Huge and really unique (one of a kind) auto museum. The majority of cars are not what you would see at other museums and are often the only prototype. Definitely leans toward European imports, but that adds to the experience since many others focus on US cars only.

Really a neat museum in an awesome old bakery building with good character and neat parking garage. Reminds me of similar quality places in Germany our family would visit when we lived there. The vehicles are all super unique. There are not really any sports cars or muscle cars there (which our kids love), but definitely lots of amazing foreign vehicles. Recommend it for sure.

This museum is amazing the collection is insanely varied and 75% are full working! The outside is very unassuming but inside they have dozens of vehicles some of them being unique one of a kind cars made by inventors. I highly recommend checking this out.

A must-see! I was "gobsmacked" to see so many unique vehicles. I took many pics along with my 18-yr old son. He went down into the vault (for an extra:$10 which was worth it) and appreciated the tour and all the work down there. He read the majority of the info signs and I read a lot too, but it was surprising how few other guests did. We were there about 5 hours!

  • Dana Welter

This musuem was really intimate and fun. They provided demonstrations on some of the cars. We paid for the vault tour and it was totally worth the extra money. The tour guide was fun and knowledgeable. Great little find would recommend!

Exceptional. Vault tour is certainly worth it too for any serious car nut (there was plenty of spots for both times on a Sunday, it's limited to 30 people each). Was a little disappointed the VW XL1 wasn't there (and I asked and two staff members said they couldn't find it). Everything else was great though.
