i cannot recommend the team at this auto shop more. last year, me & my girlfriends were driving my car down to Florida & broke down in Nashville. We tried 4 different car places & throughout our search for a place to bring my car, countless strangers were recommending this garage. I believe that speaks to their reputation! Once we got ahold of them, they heard about our situation & went out of their way to look at my car amidst being completely full. as four girls under the age of 21 with absolutely no idea what to do or where to go, they were patient & went out of their way to help us understand what was going on with my car. On top of that, the owner let us stay hours after close until we figured out a place to stay for the night. I’ve truly never been more grateful for a person then I was that day! my car needed nearly the entire engine rebuilt & since I drive a Subaru, a lot of those pieces needed to be custom made & special ordered. with that, my car had to stay in nashville for 1.5 months. i had absolutely no hesitation leaving my car with them. One year later & i can confidently say my car has never run better. i just wish they were in STL so I could have them as my usual maintenance people! i highly recommend this garage, especially if you have engine problem w your Subaru! I don't think this place is ever not busy, which is a great sign in my opinion. Another shop and a friend had recommended this place when I was faced with the decision to have a head gasket replaced in my 2001 Pontiac Sunfire. Seeing as that is not a cheap fix, I was faced with going through the pro's and con's of having it fixed versus buying a new car. With the help of my uncle who has been a mechanic his whole life and Jeff, I decided to have it fixed. Jeff quoted me the best price of any shop I called. In addition, he didn't talk to me like I was an idiot. (Which is often what mechanics do to those that lack car knowledge.) I will say, communication was a bit lacking. I had to call them more than they called me, but if that's their worst trait I will take it. I'd rather have a really awesome mechanic than someone who just rushes through a job to make a buck. In addition, my car took a couple of days longer than it should have and Jeff compensated for that by keeping me at the quote we originally discussed when really he should have charged me for another part. He also gave my car a full tune-up in addition to all of the work. I could not be more pleased and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing work done on their car! Jeff is the man!

At first we were treated nice and taken care of. He acted like it was important and he knows the dealerships will try and get everything from you but upon closers inspection we were given the run around. After having multiple problems with my wife car, it was fixed after a week and $200. About 6 days later the exact same problem happened and another 7 days in this shop with 10 excuses as to why it wasn't looked at. We told them wed be picking it up and once we got there wouldn't you know, our car was apart and they "found" what was wrong although he kept saying let's hope it's fixed. He apologized for the length of time it took saying there were 70 cars outside and everyone wanted their car done today. Another $200 and we aren't convinced they did anything of benefit. He takes on too many jobs and his staff can't handle all of the work.

He's the rudest most unprofessional business owner I've ever met. I was forced to do business with him because I have a special needs trust and that's who my trustee uses. I bought a car from him and it broke down repeatedly immediately.. I brought a vehicle to be repaired and it was supposed to be ready in 3 days, it took almost 2 weeks.. Today I was coming for 2 tires and he said it would take a couple hours for 2 tires to be mounted. I was stuck behind a wreck and arrived 10 minutes late so he told me "it will be an hour and a half before i even get to it because you weren't here at 9 like I told you to be". I politely tried to say " there was an accident on 24 at Whites Creek pk", but he cut me off mid sentence and said "yeah whatever". I will never do business here again and I would advise everyone to go elsewhere.

I stumbled on Jeff and L.A.W. 10 or so years ago, needing a timing belt change for a Honda Odyssey. Since then, I've returned many times and always felt like I got an honest opinion, an honest repair and an honest price. The owner Jeff, and my favorite mechanic, Derek, are top notch. This last trip, a new (to me) mechanic did some of the work on my truck. I didn't catch his name, but he did excellent work as well. They are always friendly and always helpful. They've extracted broken exhaust manifold bolts, changed transmission fluid, replaced struts, resolved emissions issues, and much more for me. I appreciate them, and hope that they continue to provide such excellent service for years to come.

I was surprised , you told your customer 7 months ago you are working on it ,you give me Airbag module NOT as you stated ABS module and becouse you failed to meet your promise with your customer you used us as Excuse in 10Days that I told you before I took Airbag module not ABS module that you need to do other work after I finish ,by the way I reviewed your name ,any shop changed name that is a bad sign for business from Latondress Auto World to L.A.W auto . You should be more wise as 62 years old person .This is not my problem that you failed for 7 months to fix your customer car .

On two separate occasions have been treated very poorly. Once my wife called ahead to have minor service and engine light checked. Upon arrival they didn't have time today. Then we drop the car off while we are gone for a week and are told it will be ready in two days. One week later after calling three days and getting no call back we drive down to figure out what the problem is and are told we are "badgering" them. Well of course!! You have my car that was supposed to be fixed four days ago. Heck at least looked at. RUDE!

Jeff and his crew are simply the best in the business...Maybe I'm biased, because I'm a Navy Veteran and his father was one as well, but he is fair, does not gouge his customers and is a deeply respectful and hard working man. I wouldn't go to any other place in Nashville and recommend him to all the Vets I talk to at the VA who need car care. Jeff Latondress is the only place you need for Auto care and everyone should know it. Go there and tell them I sent you.

Jeff and his team at LAW helped us out in a jam when we were traveling and had a problem with our A/C compressor. We had called a few places and they had the best price, and were able to get the work done quickly in one day so we could continue our trip. On top of that, he gave us a loaner while he was working on our car AND overnighted an iphone to us that we left in the loaner (oops!). Very nice guys there.

I've used with Jeff and his crew for over 20 years. LAW is honest and trustworthy. They have always performed my work correctly and promptly. If there is a problem that I need to be aware of, he or his staff always tell me their recommendations. LAW serviced my delivery truck fleet while I owned that company and our vehicles were always well-maintained. I rarely had a breakdown. Five stars!

I had a friend tell me it's a good idea to have timing chain replacement after so many miles so I was gonna get an estimate cause it's a pretty pricey repair. Another friend recommended this establishment. This guy could have took advantage of my lack of knowledge and charged me a lot of money, instead he said,"ma'am, you don't need a replacement." I believe I have a new mechanic.

I've known Jeff since the late 1970's and he has worked on all my cars since then starting with my 1976 Camaro. (and no one else). He takes care of my daughters cars, both of my sons cars , and I personally know most of his mechanics. I can recommend him and his shop to give you the most honest and dependable work that you will find in this town.

Extremely great shop. Brothers Eric and Derek really did a great job for me. Have an 1983 Jeep that they had to do a deep dive into what needed to be done. No computers etc so a bit of trial and error. Hard to find good mechanics to work on a project like this. Did an amazing job and cannot recommend any higher. Really appreciate it guys!

I’ve been taking my cars to Jeff for several years. He has consistently done excellent work, and has treated me fairly on price. He has completely rebuilt my suspension system, done oil changes, installed a new ignition, rebuilt my entire brake system, and other smaller issues on multiple vehicles. He is honest and does great work

This place was so helpful. Being someone who knows nothing about cars there’s always an element of vulnerability in dealing with car repairs, but Latondress was thorough, prompt and the price was actually lower than other quotes I had received. I highly recommend this place and will go back there for any of my car service needs.

Jeff the owner is a rude man . He is very disrespectful and has a poor attitude. He is very disrespectful to women and emphasizes his ownership in the business and tries to hold That over the customer head . I would never recommend his establishment to anyone !

If it wasn't for Derick this place would be done for. The owner Jeff is a really weird guy with a weird sense of humor. He seems to think hes better then everyone. Just not a place I will be going to again.

I drive old cars as long as I can keep them going and LAW is the only place I'll go for repairs. In 15 years I've never had a repair that wasn't done right and for a fair price.

These guys are great. They told me what the problem was and recommended a very low-cost fix. And now the car runs fine. I will definitely take my vehicles there again.
