"This was the 2nd hotel we stayed at in Quebec, and it oddly also followed an almost identical postmodern artsy theme"
"Adorable hotel with a great art aesthetic"
"We initially booked this from the US to participate in the Carnival d'Hiver in Quebec City"
"More like a lower 4… Plus: Super close to the « musée des beaux-arts » which is just across the street"
This was the 2nd hotel we stayed at in Quebec, and it oddly also followed an almost identical postmodern artsy theme. However, this place feels more like a home and was a much more pleasant overall experience. The building looks like a house and the family staffing it easily make it feel like you are the only ones there. Maybe because it was the off season, but it was very quiet. Admittedly the rooms are a bit small, but I don’t spend most of my time in hotels while I’m on vacation anyway so it’s not a problem. Furthermore, this location makes trips to and from downtown a breeze. Walks are pleasant with lots of shade and has the spacious Abraham Field on one side. This place is perfect for booking romantic getaways too. There is nothing about this place that makes an eyesore. The older gentleman whom I presume is the owner was so nice to give us his parking spot when they were full. These little interactions make all the difference and are completely nonexistent in the larger corporate chains. The bathrooms are huge and could possibly sleep an additional 2 people. Everything was so clean with the towels neatly organized and soap dispensers full. This place also has a spacious roof deck with a 360° view of the surrounding area. It’s a great place to start the day with a cup of coffee.

Rooms
It’s true the rooms are on the smaller side, but the beds are big. The bathrooms are huge- bigger than the one in my apartment. Everything, including the light fixtures fit the postmodern artsy feel.
Walkability
It’s an easy, maybe 20 minute, walk to the downtown area with the castle hotel. There’s lots of shade for the sidewalks, and Canadian drivers are very polite with pedestrians. This place is next to the very spacious Abraham Field, so walking is a very pleasant experience and does not require a lengthy commitment.
Food & drinks
A wide variety of breakfast food options including cereal, oatmeal, coffee, bagels, etc. You can make your own waffles or eggs, and there’s a nice selection of teas. The breakfast area is cozy and clean. Gives an intimate feel.

Adorable hotel with a great art aesthetic. Small paid parking lot in back - use the alley to access. Must reserve before hand or you'll end up parking directly across the street behind the church like I did. The church parking is $4 cheaper so no big deal. Check in was lovely, the attendant was very welcoming and gave us pretty sleeves of marshmallows for roasting on the rooftop deck with firepit. There is a small manual elevator which just means you continuously press the floor button to get it to move. The room is small but comfortable with everything you need to be comfortable. The bed is softer than I like but that's just a preference not a complaint. The bathroom is equipped with everything you need including body was and shampoo dispensers. I really liked the liquid hand soap in the pumpkin shaped dispenser on the sink. Such a nice change from the weird little hotel bar soaps. Location is amazing. We parked the car and forgot about it. Plains of Abraham are right across the street, follow the path in the park to the beautiful shopping district, and enjoy the water views. Additionally, the hotel is a 2 minute walk to a bustling restaurant and shopping area with many choices...try the chocolate shop for a dessert treat! Only minor negative was the stomping noise every time people used the external stairs. Our room faced the parking lot so if noise like that will bother you just ask for a different area. Would definitely stay here again.

We initially booked this from the US to participate in the Carnival d'Hiver in Quebec City. Once we got to the room (4 PM - be careful) they had us scheduled in a basement room with 6 inches of window showing sunlight. My wife couldn't take it so we asked for another room - and none to be had. So I "requested" a refund - initially a no go. So I asked for the manager's / owner's contact info - also initially a no go. So then I simply started searching other places on my phone and as I was booking another hotel the receptionist came and told me the owner had agreed to refund everything. She even contacted several nearby hotels for us. They get 4 stars instead of less because of this - personalized and apparently caring / understanding service - plus apparently (lobby, breakfast area / overall appearance we were privy to) good-to-pretty-good accommodations. The other hotel was better - but naturally we paid more.
More like a lower 4… Plus: Super close to the « musée des beaux-arts » which is just across the street. It is also one street corner away from the lively cartier street. It is within walking distance from the old city. Service is top notch, we love the details of the breakfast in a bag due to covid restrictions. We had the suite which is fairly nice and well equipped for the price. Cons: - parking is limited so reserve it in advance. It can also be pretty tight at some places. - hot water takes a while to heat up, but it might be since we are on the third floor. - beds are super soft. Too soft for us and it cracks when you move during your sleep. We really didn’t have a good night. For the bed and the water, it brings the note down… but service brings it up. This is why the 4 minus.

Little small 3 star hotel with à nice decor. Filled with comtemporary local arts. Service and reception was friendly and the roof terrasse is quint with a nice view. Only point it closes at 10pm maybe it's because urban regulation. Near to a lot of stuff by walking distance. We will surely come back another time.
We had the pleasure to stay 2nights at l'hôtel Art De Vivre which is well located, close to restaurants, shops and old Québec city. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful in guiding us for choices of restaurants, the sushi was delicious thank you . At the hotel breakfast, Pierre makes sure to give you a warm welcome and takes great care of you, those fresh croissants and café allongé and delicious thanks Pierre for making our stay memorable . And if you have the opportunity to chat with the owner Christian than you will understand this whole laid back warm welcoming experience from the staff as well as the decor and comfortable room we had. We're looking forward to our next stay, thanks again for this great hospitality. Nathalie and Yves
My friend and I came to Quebec for a a few days and came across this boutique hotel! It’s in an absolutely perfect location, right across from a beautiful park and a short drive/great walk to the center. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The continental breakfast was included because we called to make our reservation which was also awesome! Parking was right behind the hotel and was a small fee but it was very helpful to have parking. The rooms were very clean as were the bathrooms. There was a nice terrace on the roof which was also very quaint. Overall, great hotel and great price!

This is more like a hostel, it is clean, tiny rooms and washroom. The staff are very friendly The whole idea of this hotel is ART and CTEATIVITY. It is right across the museum des beaux art and really in downtown. You should know that there is no fridge or microwave in your room which makes sense, but you can use the fridge in the dinning area and there is a microwave in the kitchen. Coffee is available 24hrs, they also have a beautiful terrace upstairs The common areas are big and very nice to spend time with friends

The room is updated and the bathroom was excellent with a large modern shower. The problem is that the front desk insists on giving you assigned parking by number which are not marked . We arrived in torrential rain and had to go back and forth to get our pre paid and reserved parking place . If they don't want to have an attendant in the rear lot, they should have the parking spots clearly indicated. The bed was unfortunately too soft, in need of replacement. Staff is very pleasant.

We stayed at Le C3 Hôtel between Christmas and New Year. The unique atmosphere of this small hotel is excellent. The service provided by the staff, and particularly the Maître D (Louis...?) was second to none. The rooms are not big, but are extremely comfortable, and well kept. The artwork throughout is interesting, and gives the hotel its own personality. I recommend taking the breakfast option when booking, as it is well worth it. Parking is limited, so take that option when you book ahead also. I would absolutely recommend staying here, and would gladly do so again.

I like the idea of the art hotel, however it isn’t executed as well as it could be. The bed was awful (needs an upgrade ASAP) & the rooms are very small. The upstairs rooftop patio was a nice place to hang out in the evenings. A downside was that they did not clean our rooms, empty garbages or change towels during a 4 night stay. Also, no fridges in rooms which was a bit inconvenient. Really close to Plains of Abraham, Beaus Arts Museum & Cartier Street for great restaurants.

A really unique hotel in a great location. It was a nice alternative to some of the much more expensive hotels in old downtown. Service was fantastic for check in and other requests. Loved the decor of the common areas and our room. We were pleasantly surprised at how large our room was because it was described as somewhat small on the website. I was also really impressed with the breakfast delivery, rooftop patio and the common dining area.

Quiet, Great value
Our room was small and the bed took up almost all of the space. The bathroom was good sized, but with no counter space. The roof deck was pleasant, nice for having a glass of wine at sunset. Probably the best feature was the location. It's very close to Cartier Ave, with nice reasonably priced restaurants and shops. It's also close to the Restaurants of Grand Allee. It's an enjoyable walk. The old city is quite a walk. Note the website lists a living room with fireplace, but it's not much of a living room and the fireplace is electric.
Emplacement idéal , chambre propre et spacieuse, super quartier ! On a adoré.

Spent a single night (business) in Quebec City. I was working at Hôpital St-Sacrément. Perfect location. Front desk staff was very helpful in welcoming me in and setting me up with ideas for meals. Room was excellent - bed was extremely comfortable. Quiet these days due to pandemic. La chambre a été excellente. Très agréable Try them out anytime! Je suis sur de retourner les voir!
A great choice of hotel. Spotless and a beautiful aroma meets you entering the foyer and bedrooms. We loved the peace and quiet and really enjoyed our four night stay. The room was a little small but that was ok. I was amazed that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom. Had to go to breakfast room for the coffee but it was worth it as it was one of the best. Staff were so courteous and helpful. Would highly recommend this boutique hotel for a relaxing break.
I've stayed at many hotels during my travels and this hotel blows them all out of the water, the cleans are so very cozy and fully furnished with soap and shampoo, there's even extra towels in case you need. Bed is so so very comfortable, fell asleep moment my head touched the pillow. You are not going to find a place with friendlier staff than here, they answer all your questions with genuine interest and patience.

Stopped here for a night en route from Halifax to Toronto, and had a really pleasant experience! The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was cute and had a lot of character, and breakfast was included in the (very reasonable) price. I would definitely stay at Auberge du Quartier again, and I will recommend it to friends visiting Quebec! PS. The restaurant the front desk staff recommended (Graffiti) is a bit expensive but well worth the price!!!
I stayed at c3 hotel for one night and deposited $100 as security but never got that back. I even tried calling them and tried to talk to the guy at the reception but he insists that the security deposit was returned. It is not a big amount to be fretting about but left a bad taste. If you are planning on staying make sure you get yours back the same day.

Hotel arts cu vivre on Grande Allee is a fabulous place... I highly recommend it.. Rooms are exquisitely furnished and decorated. Bedding and pillows were perfect Art in the place was beautiful. The staff was fabulous.. Anais at check in.. Louis who ran the breakfast cafe and lounge was awesome and very helpful and accommodating. This was our 4th time to quebec for carnaval.. Our hotel choice this time was great. Thanks to all! Hope to see you again soon!
Well-located. Walking distance to old city (20 minutes), across the street from a large park (Plains of Abraham) and the art museum. Parking on-site. In the neighborhood Petit Quarter with shops and restaurants. Excellent service - clean and well-maintained. we stayed in a basement room because it was cheaper. The room was perfect and quiet. Delicious breakfast included with warm croissants brought to your table. An excellent place to stay all around.

Small hotel with very friendly staff. Especially at the reception. The rooms (also downstairs) has been very nice. Near the hotels are some restaurants and shops. If you want to go to the city you can walk about 20min or take some of the public busses (departing every 10mins). The breakfast if not included is for additional 12$, we liked it so we've been very happy with that.

My gf and I stayed here during our stay in Quebec City and we absolutely loved the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, the rooftop terrace was very nice too although we didn't end up roasting marshmallows over the fire as we ran out of time. The location of the hotel is perfect, close to much of what we had on our itinerary so we just walked everywhere.
A great place to stay when visiting this beautiful historic city. Modern decor in a lovely old building. Friendly proprietors who speak English and are willing to help you with your rusty French. An easy and enjoyable walk to the old Quebec or down Avenue Cartier to several excellent places to eat. Their rooftop terrace became our go-to place for a beverage first and last thing in the day.
Great little boutique hotel lots of artistic decor, roof top patio with a fire pit and seating. Front desk offered free marshmallows as well. Only reason for a 3 star was we were put on the first floor right next to the back entrance, as well as the main dining breakfast area. Which proved to be quite noisy during breakfast hours. Other then that staff were great very accommodating.

Had a great time at Le C3 two weeks ago. Staff is friendly and helpful. Super easy to get a uber ride using the hotel wifi. For the 3 of us, it was cheaper than taking the bus! A little harder using uber from the old port , difficulty getting a signal. The taxis are pretty reasonable though. Check out the museum right across the street.

No toiletries offered. Would have been nice to know in advance. Some staff are friendly and some should work on their customer service skills. Although it’s nice that there is a 24h tea and coffee lounge, having to go out of the room just for a cup of tea was annoying.

Belle acceuil! Propre.

Nice location with walking distance to down town. Friendly service and good house keeping. Paid parking some spots may not be suitable for large car or van. Wifi is very slow which is the main drawback of this hotel.

Very nice BNB. Artsy appeal, great good for breakfast, great service, great location. Bus stops 50 yards away. Get marshmallows and sticks from front desk and toast them on the rooftop deck and fire pit!
Clean rooms, nice and friendly staff, really great location. Breakfast could be a little more filled out, but I knew that booking the place. Very close places to grab a quick bite or full sit down meal.

Great spot. Very comfy bed. The location is great, right infront of the MNBAQ, rue Cartier, les.plaines d'Abraham, restaurants, etc. The rooftop terrasse is amaizing, there's even a fire at night.

Front counter clerks are very nice and friendly. Pierre, in the breakfast area, is phenomenal. The hotel overall is beautiful and close to a great area with local shops and restaurants.
Trash basement apartment. Wet again and noisy. Parking is a joke, faraway from the hotel really hard to find,,, and even cost $20. Valet at a 5s is only $35. Find some better place.
Dommage !

Beautiful rooms and great location. The isolation in the rooms is very good. Breakfasts are fine but don’t expect too much; you get what you pay for and it’s enough.
Excellent place to stay! Cozy, calm and comfortable. Staff is nice and helpful. Our room was fun and a little bit unusual with the stone walls, we loved it !
The room is comfortable and the service is good. You can choice early check out at the night before you leave. But the breakfast is a little expensive.
Nice place, a little bit pricy but you will get a place to stay that feel private and different than commercial hotels. M ta region deal is available.
Beautiful little hotel with an amazing terrace. Definitely recommend to stay if you are in town. Room was beautifully furnished and modern looking.

Amazing service, clean rooms, thoughtful breakfast left at the door. Would recommend and will stay again. Maxence at the front desk is a gem.
Thank you management for taking care of details. I would say amazing service and cleanliness. Great job All the best …
Hôtel à taille humaine. Bon accueil. Climatisation bruyante.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful! Great hotel, small but classy room. Interesting art. Good breakfast buffet.
Great place, rooms are clean and modern and staff is always welcoming. I highly recommend!
