After quite a while of searching for a men's slim fit leather coat in local shops and markets, I came across this store online. In all honesty, I was avoiding online stores as I've had issues with them in the past with false advertising and on one occasion, a custom jacket that was nowhere near as ordered. The closest coat to my liking at a nearby store would have set me back around $700, according to the couple that ran the business. I figured I'd give Leather Jacket Shop a go, as they claimed they could stitch any jacket you like if you send in a photo and the required measurements. I was skeptical, but for $300 less...I thought I'd try. I sent in a photo of a style I liked along with my measurements that I got a professional to take just to be safe. The customer service team were in constant contact with me every step of the way, which was very reassuring. I eventually got a DHL tracking number SMS'd to me with an estimated arrival date of 12/07/2021 - this was about 2 weeks or so after placing the order. Custom orders come from Pakistan, but free worldwide shipping is offered. The package came in today (07/07/2021). Bear in mind that a DHL shipment like this in Australia would have been at least an extra $40 - $60. Here's the part of the review you're after: the quality is actually far better than I expected. I'm being completely honest by saying that this coat looks and feels more like $700 worth than the "high quality" coat that I tried on locally. They stitched it exactly as I asked and it fits perfectly. I asked for a more durable coat with thicker leather, not glossy or too black with more of a matte look and slim fit. I also wanted it to be 95cm in length - slightly longer than the coat I tried on here. They delivered and delivered exceptionally well. It has a nice weight to it, it's a great slim fit when buttoned up and not too loose when worn open. It's thick and the inner lining is so damn smooth and comfortable and doesn't feel cheap at all. 2 outer pockets and 2 inner pockets - was only expecting 1 inner pocket. A very awesome looking coat. It looks a little crinkled in the photos, but that's normal as I only pulled it out of the packaging today. It will smooth out and look much better once it's worn in. So I'd like to say thank you to the incredible stitching department and thank you to the incredible customer service department - your business needs more recognition and I'm certain I will be ordering future custom leather coats/jackets from you! Got my jacket, stitching had come undone on elbow I figured its a small issue contacted leather jacket shop and was flat out told no refunds, returns or repairs as it was a sale item tried to let him know that the ACCC had laws that meant they had to repair, refund or replace. In response I received this email: Dear Customer, At the time of selling the product was not faulty, there may be size and usage issues. If you go to Kmart, Big W or any other shop no one accepts a clearance item. It means they are not following the laws which you have understood more than them. Furthermore, if you can write a bad review it is your democratic right. Kind Regards Regards, Customer Service It is worth noting that the ACCC website says this : Approaching the retailer or manufacturer The retailer who sold you the product or service cannot refuse to help you by sending you to the manufacturer or importer. You can approach the manufacturer or importer directly, however, you will only be entitled to recover costs from them, which include an amount for reduction in the product’s value and in some cases compensation for damages or loss. You cannot demand a repair, replacement or refund from the manufacturer. Your rights under the consumer guarantees do not have a specific expiry date and can apply even after any warranties you’ve got from a business have expired. Overall a bad experience I DO NOT RECOMMEND getting anything from the leather jacket shop to anyone I was really excited,never had a leather jacket before to receive one that's damaged is one thing to have to go to the ACCC just to get some stitching repaired is another low quality service with jackets made in Pakistan and poor customer service definitely find another store.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. No email updates after almost 2 weeks as detailed on the website, re progress of jacket production. So I sent an email after a week with no reply. I sent a second email at almost 2 weeks, a few days before the website states I should have received my jacket. They replied saying my order had been overlooked and offered me a full refund or to select a jacket from the ready to ship range. These jackets were cheaper than the one I ordered. I asked why they couldn’t just make the jacket I ordered as a priority. Then I sent a second email and selected one of the ready to ship jackets, asking for a discount due to their error. The total discount I would have received was around $30, not much in the circumstances. They then cancelled my order and stated they issued the refund without any further consultation. Do not buy from this company.

I have just received my Nanga Parbat Brown A2 Flight Jacket. To say that I am impressed would be an understatement, I wanted to customize the jacket and my request was easily accommodated, over several emails we were able to determine the right size for me the result was a perfectly fitted jacket. The quality of the leather is exceptional. I have purchased leather jackets 'off the rack' before, and never had a jacket of the quality of this one. In today's cutthroat business market where customer service is not valued The Leather Jacket Shop goes against that trend. So if you are looking for a well made leather jacket where the customer service is excellent nothing is too much trouble for them, and the product is excellent, I would recommend that you cannot go past The Leather Jacket Shop. Excellent service, excellent product.

The quality of the Jacket was not good, the YKK zippers I don’t think were real as one had rust developing on it. The leather on the inside of the jacket could not of been leather as the coating was peeling off in small sections of it (match head size). The stitching was poor quality on the zippers. Not worth the $250 we paid. The good thing about the company was they gave us a full refund with out trouble, even though their returns policy of the website has many reasons why they won’t return. I would not buy from this company again for fear of getting very poor quality products and maybe not being so well treated on my return as their returns policy gives a lot of reasons why they won’t.

Absolute rogues. DO NOT BUY from them. They bend their exchange and refund policies to their liking as and when they please. They did not want to exchange a jacket stating "COVID-19" as an excuse and have conviniently updated their policy to only allow exchanges within 3 days. They've updated their policy just 3 hours ago on Google after I asked for an exchange. If this was your policy then you should have mentioned it when i placed the order. Also they do not answer their phones and when the three days are complete they conviniently state their policy. Avoid like the plague. Customer service is Non existent.

Emailed an enquiry. Website advised a response in 24 hours. 5 days later still no answer. Not sure a company that sells clothes online and doesn't respond to enquiries can be trusted. Update. After being advised "Sizes are on the size guide" My original enquiry related to the length of a particular jacket. The website lists the below sizing: Body Chest Jacket Chest Sleeves Shoulders None of these refer to the length of the jacket. My trust in this retailer has been further eroded. Why would i send hundreds of dollars to organisation that is not aware of the content on their own website?

I bought a jacket for a special occasion and they sent me a wrong one. I wouldn’t have time to exchange, so I just contact them and they gave $50 back. 2 and a half months later, the jacket has a hole inside. At first, they said they could not help, but in a second contact, they suggested paying for the repair, once it was a minor problem. I got my jacket fixed for $35, and now it looks fine. I wish could give more stars! The customer service is very good, but the whole problem was upsetting anyway.

Would rate 4.5, had a mix up with my order where the wrong jacket was sent out - however the owner was very accommodating and his customer service was great! Prompt, quick replies and clear communication. I was able to get the right jacket, as well as a better size for myself too. Would highly recommend this shop, and would buy in the future again! Just hope no more mishaps and less room for error :) but it worked out better for me anyway! Great quality jacket too btw, very comfortable!

It can be tricky to buy a leather jacket online - there are plenty of dodgy websites that look very slick. I had amazing customer service (thanks David!). Though the first jacket I bought didn't fit, David helped organise another one which did. He not only emailed me back promptly and helpfully but even called me up to discuss one issue I had. Awesome service and a great jacket!

I purchased the distressed leather waxed jacket. The colour is a little lighter compared to photos, but it's a great quality jacket. Fantastic customer service (particularly from David). Very bad customer service. Didn't make the jacket on the measurements which customer gave them. Made an excuse by giving the jacket some kind of "increment" on their own. Don't even bother try to reply email.
