This is one of my favourite squares in Amsterdam. It is the one I work my way towards when coming out of the Vondelpark and crossing the Leidesburg bridge. Its is surrounded by pubs and restaurants and shops. There are some really good boutique eating holes as I call them because they are small but full of mouth watering foods. This is also a great people watching square as are most in Amsterdam. You can find an outside seat at a cafe and while a way hours watching people from all over the world who come to Amsterdam. This is also my starting point for walking through Amsterdam weaving my way through street after street of so much to see winding up at the Dam Square and from there walking either towards the Central Station or through the Red Light District and to other interesting squares.

This is a destination for everyone visiting Amsterdam. Whether you want to have a drink or eat outside with loads of people walking by, or just want to have a rest after some (window) shopping, this area is always alive. Night life here is hectic and overcrowded with a lot of sketchy people that you can do without.

This is the place where you feel the life and spirit of Amsterdam! There are many cafe, bars and restaurants around. Many nice shops are close by. It’s only few hundred meters away from the Dutch national museum and the Van Gogh museum. It’s always crowded, a good sign

Tourists, this is the stop you're looking for. Leidseplein has the biggest Bulldog location in the city as well ask the Melkweg and Paradiso concert venues. Multiple bars and clubs scattered around the streets here make Leidseplein the party area.

Always a lot of hustle and bustle going on here, protesters mix with street artists, great bars with massive outdoor pavillions spread around next to the city theatre, great jumping board for a dive into the city center.

Place d'Amsterdam très active le soir, dans le quartier jeune, avec des bars, des boîtes de nuit, des salles de concert, un cinéma et même un casino... Tout ce qu'il faut pour bien s'amuser et manger, bonne expérience !
