Have waited a few months to write up my feelings about my experience with this clinic because overwhelmingly this experience was negative and i wanted to think on it a while before reviewing given google reviews can really impact a business and i do care that reviews are objective.. I visited a few months back as a new patient and with a bit of a laundry list of ongoing health issues carrying over from my previous family doctor and medication information to share, so i booked a long visit and brought in a pre prepared list of items i wanted to discuss. I saw one of the lady doctors, wont name names but essentially i wanted to begin the conversation about my health concerns and was rushed and shut down very quickly. Everything i began to speak about was interrupted and shut down in a very ‘not my problem’ and ‘stop wasting my time’ tone of voice. Her body language was uncomfortably chilly. When i stopped speaking she passive aggressively asked me if i had anything else to discuss since it was a long appointment and i said yes and once again as i began to speak, she would interrupt and shut me down like it was absolutely a waste of her time for me to be there. At one point i was told my issues were normal and there was nothing she could do. One of those issues was new inexplicable and uncontrollable motor tics. I was seriously concerned that something may be wrong. She commented that she was unable to see my tics and told me motor tics cant be fixed anyway and didn’t bother to offer any attempt to help me find out why they had suddenly begun. In the end i took my health concerns to a nearby clinic who with some patience, a few long appointments and a holistic and caring approach have helped me to identify a probable cause and am on a recovery plan. TLDR: I’ve never felt so rushed and unheard in my life. Please - if you have a history of health issues and you’re planning to move your medical affairs to a clinic in Lilydale, i implore you to go literally anywhere else. Im not even sure this place would be appropriate for a sick day ticket.

Today I had a very disturbing 30 second ‘consultation’with a ‘Dr’ Tan. Having been quite unwell, tired and stressed I requested 3 days off work. This so called GP does not give eye contact, is downright rude, disrespectful and slovenly. I have worked closely with Drs and Surgeons for over 30 years and I have never been treated like this. This ‘Dr’ was mumbling, bumbling and giggling. He stated he was not a pushover. He mumbled he doesn’t give out long term certificates (3 days is long term???) and mumbled I have to come back tomorrow if I require another certificate. Dr. Tan challenged me by asking if I visit other Drs. What does it matter if I have visited other GP’s! I now live in Lilydale and I chose to visit Lilydale Medical Clinic. Dr. Tan made me feel like a Dr Shopper chasing medical certificates.... how ridiculous! During the 30 second ‘consultation’ he diagnosed me with hayfever without even looking at me. This GP is an obnoxious, rude and extremely disrespectful person. How he is allowed to practice is beyond belief. I departed his consulting room feeling angry, upset, totally gobsmacked and shocked. One of these days this nutter will miss an important diagnosis. I implore parents of children, the elderly, in fact everyone who has a health concern, to be aware and to avoid this so called GP. Read the reviews. This will give you clear insight into this person who refers to himself as a GP. The receptionists however were lovely and professional. The Medical Board really needs to conduct a full investigation into this Dr. I wonder if the Accreditation Board is aware of his extremely brief consultations? Is he billing a review or brief consultation? This GP should be answerable for his behaviour. In my opinion he should be struck off the Medical Register.

I had the privilege of being under the care of Dr. Siri Arcot for over 5 years at Lilydale Medical Centre, and I cannot speak highly enough of her exceptional service and care towards her patients. Dr. Arcot's dedication to providing top-notch healthcare is truly remarkable. From the moment I stepped into the clinic, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming environment. Dr. Arcot's is our family doctor . Her genuine concern and attentiveness towards our health concerns immediately puts us at ease. She always takes the time to listen to symptoms and medical history, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of situation. What impressed me the most was Dr. Arcot's prompt response and proactive approach. She swiftly investigates and orders the necessary tests and reports. Her thoroughness and attention to detail leaves no stone unturned in getting to the root of any health issues. She takes the time to explain the results in a compassionate and easily understandable manner, addressing all my questions and concerns. Her willingness to go above and beyond to ensure our well-being truly exemplifies her dedication as a healthcare professional. I cannot express enough gratitude for Dr. Siri Arcot's exceptional service and care. She is a true advocate for her patients and sets a high standard for medical professionals. If you are in need of a doctor who provides prompt, comprehensive care and genuinely values your well-being, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Arcot at Lilydale Medical Centre. I wouldn’t even give this clinic a one star. Dr.Tan is an absolute joke of a doctor and shouldn’t be allowed to practice. How he is still working at this medical centre after all of the bad reviews he has on here is beyond me. I went in there as I couldn’t get into anywhere else as I have been experiencing sharp abdominal pain. Dr.Tan didn’t even ask me where the pain was in my abdomen and didn’t even look at me or make eye contact with me during the entire appointment. He asked me if I had a regular doctor that I see and questioned why I was there and not seeing my regular doctor. He also mentioned that if it was still bad in future to go back and see my regular doctor and not him. I’ve never met or experienced a doctor to be so rude and disinterested like Dr.Tan. He made me feel like my pain wasn’t something I should of been there for and he was just keen to get rid of me. I was in this appointment for about 4 minutes max and had to pay an out of pocket fee all to leave with a script for heartburn medication which I don’t even have and no answers to what could be causing my pain. If you can go somewhere else I would 100% recommend it. I would recommend avoiding seeing Dr.Tan at all costs. As bad as it sounds, seeing no doctor is better than seeing him and it will also save your money. I wish I read all of these reviews on him before I booked this appointment, so hopefully this review will help others.The receptionist was lovely and very helpful on the other hand.

I have actually been thinking a long time before writing a review as generally I think it’s unfair as the drs can’t respond and at the end of the day we’re all human. Nobody likes to be criticised. However, I honestly think this review is justified. All the other Drs are great apart from Dr Tan in my opinion. Myself and family have been to see him many times over the past year (he’s the only one with ample appointments). Each time it is a terrible experience. I have been a nurse for the past 25 years and I can honestly say I know more than him about most of the things that we have had. Just one example.. I was part of the trauma team that went out to a spate of bombings so unfortunately every now and then I have night terrors. Sometimes medications help. For some reason I was having more terrors than usual so thought it might be a good idea to go back on them for a short period of time. He gave me a script and said that I need to go and see I psychologist. I politely declined as it doesn’t help . The incident was 20 years ago. He gave me a printout and told me to go and said “ if you jump in front of a train it won’t be my fault” I kid you not. I declined again. This was about 6 months ago and my family have similar experiences with him. It’s just a worry. He had no knowledge of travel health ... the list is endless.

Been going to this clinic on and off for a couple of years and have had a problem with Dr Tan and Dr Sudanthi. I’m not the one to leave a negative review how ever this situation sent me. I have had the flu last few days and had a telephone appt with Dr Sudanthi on Friday and she said is symptoms persist to see her in person. Now I booked another telephone consult as I’m not feeling any better however iam too weak to come into the clinic- I haven’t been able to get up for 3 days due to muscle pains and aches. I get a. Call from reception an hour before appt saying doctor refuses to do phone consult and I have to come in after they have already charged me a FEE OF $80. the phone consult lasts usually never over 2mins. Such a ridiculous price. Anyway so I tell reception I would come in if I could but I’m physically not well enough. I said ok book me in with another doctor please, she said no even though I checked the website they had multiple bookings free. Reception is just as negligent as the doctors. No care factor what do ever. Dr Sri is the only doctor that actually cares. I hope this place gets shut down for the medical negligence that they exhibit.

Writing this review in the hope that it would help anyone prior to appointment . I have had really bad experience with the clinic in the past , but that was before it was bulk billed . Now that it has a gap fee I have seen improvements in the system . But choose you doctor wisely here ; 5 stars for Siri arcot, Dr Sri , Dr maduawe I consulted multiple times with them for my family , they have been really good at analysis etc Avoid Dr Tan at any cost !!! Others I don’t know With Dr Tan , I had two time experiences. I bet he will confuse you to death . Had my acl surgery two week back went in today for checkup , paid a gap fee of 43$ ; 1. No questions asked on what my pain is 2. Nothing on medication 3. Removed my bandage and asked me do you think there are stitches in ur leg : ) 4. Quicker removed the bandages and put some plastic on top 5. No questions comments on my future rehab With my daughter I had a different funny experience with Dr Tan . We ended up seeing a different GP next day for her. I give the clinic 2 star for still having him , despite all the complaints . In short my suggestion, choose ur GP wise when your booking not everyone is same.

Dr Tan should not be practising. I walked into my appointment explaining that I had just had been discharged yesterday and had surgery for a spinal stimulator. I had my discharge letter and number of hospital for him to call as the nurse their had spoken to my surgeon to approve a medication. Dr Tan refused to look at my medical card, discharge letter and refused to call the hospital to speak with the nurse. He lied and said he couldn't prescribe a pain relief medication and said I was on enough medication. I was in so much pain and he couldn't have cared less. We ended up walking out of the office. I've never in my life experienced anything like this. How on earth he is a practising Dr, I will never understand. I've now read reviews and can see he has numerous complaints made against him. We then went across to the Medical Centre on Main Street and what a different experience. He read my discharge letter, saw my medical card, contacted the nurse then asked how my spinal stimulator was going. Please do not go to the Lilydale Medical Clinic clinic on Hutchison Street however do attend the Lilydale Medical Clinic on Main Street

Went in to do the right thing and get my booster shot. Due to working full time trying to squeeze an appointment in without my children is very difficult. Took a day off to get it done, due to my son not being well. I disclosed the fact that he had a PCR test done and the result was negetative. Was asked to sit down and send through a screenshot of the negative result which was fine. Here I was, filling out my form and sending the requested screen shot while my twins were in the pram. To distract them, I gave them an iPad while I filled out the requested paperwork, to stop them from screaming. Another receptionist rudely requested to turn the iPad down or off from her desk for all too hear. All patients then stared at me judging my parenting. I have never felt so embarrassed. I wonder if this receptionist would ask all patients to stop talking also as there were multiple people having loud conversations amongst each other. My twins can be difficult and I try to avoid taking them anywhere because of this but I had no other option, and to be treated this way left me feeling sick to my stomach. Will not return to this clinic

I had been going here for years with my daughter. Usually told virus ext or sent for blood. One doctor named quite frequently in reviews did the whole do you want anti depressants to me too and even one time printed out a script I told him to tear it up as he even had the nerve and printed it out, dont know how headaches mean I need those. Im always telling people if you want to get anti depressants this is the place to go. Had enough of this here and was recommended a great clinic were the doctor went over everything, asked questions and dug deep and a MRI was recommended and had issues detected which I need to see a speacialist for, one appointment there and finally have answers to things that never made sense and left not feeling stupid unlike this clinic. Then they expect $20 admin fee to send full papers to my new clinic but thats okay they send a health summary for free, but on that health summary it says my daughter has no allergies, cant begin to tell how annoyed at that I am as been dealing with her and her allergies for years . Dont bother with this bulk billing place there is a great one In the next suburb up.

I normally go to Mooroolbark Superclinic but was not available for when I needed so I booked in for lilydale. Dr Tan is the worst doctor I have ever seen in my life. It was a simple appointment just to get my scripts renewed as I had run out. I've been on these scripts for years. I'm normally in and out within a minute. This doctor proceeds to question why I am on the certain ones I am on. I simply replied that these ones worked best for me after trying many others these are by far the ones that work for me well. He states I should change and be on other ones. He states I should get the IUD and stop taking my other medications completely. I have never seen this doctor before and he does not know my history so why he felt the need to tell me what I should be on was ridiculous. He then refused to give me the amount of repeats I normally get and only gave me very minimal as he said he didn't like the medication so he didn't want to do the repeats. I paid $40 out of pocket for this and honestly how he is a doctor amazes me. After reading many other reviews it obviously isn't just me.

Went as i needed a prescription and mentioned i also had a cold over a month ago (not covid) she asked if i had taken a RAT test that same day i said yes it was negative she asked for a photo i explained I didn't know I'd need to take a picture and or need to do a RAT test before coming as i no longer have a cold (nowhere while booking the appointment did it say I'd need to do a RAT test and take a picture for a cold i had over a month ago and no longer have) but live in a house with a terrible mould problem but she wouldn't let me explain and told me to leave her room and wait in the reception and asked to take a RAT test there which i had no problem with at all to which the doctor stayed in her room and called the receptionist at the front desk and told her I'd have to leave and reschedule even though she originally said i could do a RAT test there. The receptionist was very nice and professional but Dr Sudanthi treated me like i was not a person and more like i was a diseased animal.

Dr Sri is good and is the only reason I gave this place anything higher than a 1 star, but Dr Tan and Dr Sudanthi are by far the worst doctors I’ve ever come across. — When consulting Dr Tan for a bad chest and nasal infection he refused to give me antibiotics and gave me script for a hay-fever nasal spray instead. After seeing another (competent) Dr soon after was informed I had a really bad chest infection which was neglected by Dr Tan. — Wanted melatonin to help me sleep and he refused to give me a script for the natural remedy. — The last straw was once when I needed a refill on an antidepressant script (which I’d been on a low dose for quite some time and had continual monitoring by my regular GP and specialist) and couldn’t get in to see anyone else so had to see Tan. He went off on a tangent bluntly asking me inappropriate questions such as “why are you on these? Do you want to kill yourself?” Dr Tan and Dr Sudanthi are rude, irresponsible and unhelpful. Avoid at all costs.

Honestly I would avoid this entire place if I could, the doctors are absolutely pathetic and have no respect whatsoever they talk over you and don’t listen to you they really don’t have the qualifications that a doctor should have. Poor customer service at the front desk aswell. I was literally put on something that was harmful to me at that stage, later found out by another doctor that it was making me sicker. Told me that they had received my urgent tests results and that I needed to book and appointment showed up there the doctor was running late as usual and they didn’t even have my results. The doctor was quite rude and wouldn’t listen to anything that I had to say decided to speak to my partner who is a male about my pregnancy and totally ignored me. Got a letter in the mail saying I’m now banned Save yourself the hassle and don’t come here! I’ve moved doctors and I’m much happier.

Personally my experience has been very, very negative. While the receptionists were very lovely, the doctors there were a complete waste of my time. I spent four days, running around and trying to get a medical certificate (I was perfectly happy to be patient and understanding), only for the gp to send me the incorrect one (incorrect dates, so it was useless for my sick pay claim). After I had been trying to get something for *days* while under a time crunch. Ontop of this, the second doctor (I believe Doctor Tan) I saw was rather unprofessional and was constantly googling things during the session, and gave me three random referrals without explaining any of them — causing me days of stress and confusion. He also seemed unable to properly read my x-ray results which led to me wasting two weeks of my time possibly screwing up my healing process due to his lack of actual medical advice.

Absolutely the worst, slack medical treatment I have ever recieved. I went to see Dr Tan following a skate accident where I hit my head and body hard onto the road without a helmet. I presented with savere pain including a bruised head. NO EXAMINATION took place. All he was interested in was continually checking the safe scripts website. He clearly was of the opinion I was drug seeking or doctor shopping. The irony of this is, I am a healthcare professional and he was logged into my work system! I had told him I do take pain killers for arthritis and they had not helped. I left being told nothing was wrong with me and he could give me a script for an anti depressant! Left feeling in pain and disgusted. Saw an actual Dr elsewhere two hours later who diagnosed whiplash, injured shoulders, neck and ribs and yes prescribed correct medication. Avoid at all costs!

Went in to organise some pain relief for chronic shoulder pain as my regular GP wasn't available for 1 1/2 weeks. After mentioning that I have been prescribed Endone in the past and found it useful for sleep Dr Tan quickly suggested that I was an addict and referred me to an addiction clinic. I assume he has had issues prescribing this medication in the past and is under strict orders not to prescribe. When I told Dr Tan that I was open to other alternatives he prescribed an anti-depressant. Although this can be used to treat pain, Dr Tan never advised or was unaware of the severe reactions when taken with sertraline. Thanks to Dr Tan now I need to call up an addiction clinic to advise them that I don't have a substance problem. Not only was his advice arrogant and dangerous but he was also very abrupt and rude. Worst. Doctor. Ever.

The fact that Dr Tan is continuing to give medical advice is downright terrifying. This man is a complete joke. I’ve asked numerous times to not see him for myself or my children and some how it keeps happening. Most recently he tried to give my son 2 different types of antibiotics for both an ear and throat infection without any visual assessment?? When questioned he completely back tracked and told me it was allergies! Well it wasn’t allergies at all and even I could tell that. Speaking to dr tan is so incredibly painful. He has no idea what he’s saying/doing. Apparently he also found my 2 year olds type 1 diabetes diagnosis EXTREMELY amusing. Do NOT see this dr. The other drs are fine, this man is insane. People need to continue to refuse appointments with him and make formal complaints. He should not be practising!

Dr sudanti is one of the worst doctors I have ever dealt with, on par with Dr tan. Went In for my appointment needed a referral which she hesitantly did. Needed antibiotics for a UTI to be told that how would I know that I have a UTI and refused to offer a urine sample for confirmation. Also needed a re script for my regular medication as the chemist misplaced the original she raised her voice to me telling me she will not write me a script regardless of the chemist calling her to confirm. Then accused me of having the script filled already and being an addict. I broke down in tears as I needed this medication and a script re issued to which she told me the appointment was over and she has other clients to see!! Uncompassionate woman who doesn't take any consideration to clients. Will never see her again.

Do not go here!!! I saw Dr Tan for a pretty bad cough that was causing my long term asthma to play up. He told me I was fine & only had hay fever (I've had hey fever my whole life & I knew it was not that) he did not examine me and told me to get a Telfast. The next day I went to another doctor and was told I had a pretty bad chest infection and needed antibiotics. I complained to the clinic and was told "my complaint had been passed on". A few months later my husband went in (only place with a last minute appointment, should have known better) he had been run down for months and wanted to get his bloods checked, and Dr Tan told him he only had HAYFEVER as well! Completely different symptoms, different time of year and a man who has never had hay fever in his life. Terrible treatment, no care at all!

I made an appointment at 5pm for 8.15pm, upon arriving Vesna the rude receptionist said she had to speak to Dr Siri Aroct. She came back with the explanation that the doctor couldn't see me because he/she has run out of time. Why make the appointment for me to get there at the appointed time that was made 3 hours earlier just to be turned away with no options for healthcare? I'm pregnant and have an infection that needs antibiotics and i think this is poor behaviour, there are no more doctors open in the area. If they haven't got 'time management' skills I wouldn't trust them to look after my wellbeing, maybe it was for the best. I wouldn't want a doctor like that to make decisions for my life. Disappointed, confused, and sick. Quit ya job if you can't do it right, Aroct.

By all means DO NOT go see Dr. Tan. I have written a letter to the head of this medical clinic also. I have never been so disrespected and upset walking out of a doctors room. Dismissed me as a person, would not listen, refused to print off a prescription even though another doctor at the clinic put me on this 3 month treatment plan. Now time has been wasted and have to go back tomorrow to see another doctor so I don’t waste $130 on medication for 1 month I have completed out of the 3 month treatment plan. I do not appreciate being called an addict because this month the hospital prescribed me panadene forte as I need surgery. Appalling behaviour, never go see him unless you want to walk out upset with having your time wasted.

Dr Sudanthi is an incredibly arrogant woman! I attended the clinic after a horrible night with an obvious ear infection, all I got to say was " I think I have an ear infection, I'm in alot of pain" she cut me off and said " get a covid swab and come back if its negative " I said what? That's not part of covid symptoms, please look in my ear I'm in agony its an ear infection and I need antibiotics please, she told me no, go get a swab. I went to another doctor at the Chirnside clinic (he is great) he looked in my ear and confirmed a bad ear infection and gave me antibiotics. Dr Sudanthi should not be practising if she's capable of sending someone away with a very dangerous infection. She is cold hearted and incompetent.

Thank you to this wonderful clinic. I contacted them in an emergency situation with my daughter last Sunday. She was very ill and we were travelling from interstate. They told me to come down even though they were busy. The very kind receptionist quickly placed my daughter in a treatment room. My daughter had not brought her Medicare card with her and the receptionist, although working alone and dealing with other patients, did what she could to get these details. The doctor examined my daughter and quickly made the decision to call an ambulance. The decisive care was greatly appreciated as my daughter was later diagnosed with a serious illness. Being far from home, the kindness shown made such a difference.

Dr Tan should have his medical licence taken off him. I went in and explained what was wrong, he then printed out a medical certificate and said there you go, bye. I told him I came in to find out what was wrong not for a medical certificate, so he put the certificate in the bin and said I should find another doctor then. I asked why he couldnt help, his responce was that i was too difficult, when all I had told him prior was my symptoms. All he could say was he thought it was from the whether changing and to have antihistamines (even though it was belly pains). His behaviour was absolutely disgusting!! I have been to another doctor to find out I have gastro, which isn't caused by weather.

Incompetent doctor, with a significant lack of care. Dr Syan John Tan has a complete lack of awareness when it comes to even the most basic of human interactions, not even possessing the ability to make eye contact at any point during our appointment. The approach of this GP, resembling a steamroller, meant he was not capable of hearing his patient in any way, resulting in the total inability for this doctor to provide any actual medical help or care, while actively making me feel much worse than when I first walked in. Negligence at best, harm at worst. At least you will likely experience a good level of consistency from this clinic it seems, based on all of the other complaints here.

Our family has been visiting for over 5 years Dr. Siri Arcot at Lilydale Medical Centre, and we are extremely grateful and thankful for all her services . From the moment I walk in, I am always met with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Dr. Siri Arcot's service is exceptional , providing right medical advice and effective care. She always thoroughly examines all our concerns and takes the time to explain their findings in a clear and understandable manner. I felt genuinely cared for throughout my visits and I left with a sense of confidence in her medical expertise. If you're looking for a General Practitioner who delivers outstanding care, look no further than Dr. Siri Arcot .

Despite the many warnings to avoid this clinic, I decided to have Sudanthi guide me through my first pregnancy. Things were ok for a while until today when I left my appointment in tears after being yelled at for not organising my own urine tests (which I wasn’t aware I had to do at all) and she refusing to refer my pregnancy to eastern health or a midwife. I walked out mid appointment after telling her that I won’t be spoken to like that and I would find a new doctor. She charged me full price for the appointment. Will NEVER return. I really needed support as this is my first pregnancy and I’ve left feeling more confused and lost and upset.

Some of the reception staff are incredibly rude! No patience and act like you are an inconvenience. They don't wear name tags so its hard to know which makes it harder so say which ones are rude rather than say they all are. Saying this however, i have seen many of the doctors at this clinic and Dr Siri Arcot is the loveliest doctor i have seen! She is very professional and always listens to everything you have to say. She is great with womens health and mental health issues. I also have to say nurse Britney is also amazing! She has a lot of knowledge and was so kind and caring when we saw her about a particular issue.

Took my sick child to the clinic as I couldn’t get into his regular doctor last minute. The Reception ladies were lovely but doctor tan hardly listened (second visit to him with little to no improvement) he gave us a different script and when I tried to ask questions he walked out then came back to the door and said you have a carers certificate so don’t worry about taking any medication it is probably just a virus and will probably get better on it’s own then walked of. I was so shocked so left both the script and certificate there. I have zero confidence that he knew what he was doing and even less that he cared.

I have 2 things to say about this clinic Firstly l will never see Dr Tan again. He lectured me about asking for a script for Mersyndol when l really only take it occasionally for pain. I did not need the lecture and the way he spoke to me was horrible.Telling me l have a codeine addiction when l do not! I know how to look after myself. He is doing damage to this practice whilst working there and hopefully he leaves! I was actually shocked and looking at other reviews on here, he is being reported for negligence . Secondly , l find the reception staff helpful and a few other doctors l have seen there have been good.

Just had my first appointment with Dr Tan, I've just read though the reviews and I'm not surprised. I usually never review on google but this may help others. I came in with a bad back problem and basically he got all personal even asking about my financial position and how I make my money. He basically said I have back pain probably due to a gambling addiction (I don't gamble) and that I should call for help. He also asked how I met my partner and due to that I should get a blood test and check I don't have any STDs which I've been with her for years. In the end I have no resolution to my back issue. Disgusting.

Unprofessional, Uninformed & Cruel. Dr Sudanthi Amarasekera brings a new level to the term obnoxious. You would be better off saving your mental energy and going elsewhere rather than wasting it on someone so callous. Blonde at reception was just as rude, will ask you questions and then talks over you while dismissing the answers she asked for while informing the rest of reception the reason for your private appointment. Cleary overdue for training and taking their stress out on their patients because they can't be bothered informing the patients of the parameters of the appointments when they book them.

On arrival my sons temperature was taken 4 times as the thermometer “wasn’t working properly” I was told. It went from being 36.8 and fine to being taken again for no reason and another 3 times and going up to 39 in the space of not even 5 minutes. We were then told we were then not able to be seen. They didn’t even bother to take my temperature though. Took my son straight home to check his temperature with our reliable ear thermometer to find it was 37 no temperature at all. He is having an allergic reaction and covered in welts and now can’t be seen by a doctor. Very unhappy and won’t be returning.

What can i say- i am not surprised to see all of these reviews for Dr Tan. He's hands down the worst Dr i've seen, and that's saying something. Rude, unprofessional and judgemental. But worse than that doesn't even bother to check your actual symptoms or ask any actual questions to be able to treat you. Assumes you're a drug seeker because you have taken pain medication as prescribed to you. Even after surgery. This guy is ridiculous. Don't bother wasting your time here with Dr Tan. Reception staff are pleasant but unfortunately does not make up for the negligent service by Drs.

I saw Dr Tan for a prescription refill - straight out refused and made me leave before even considering doing a medical history check or suggesting to transfer my records from previous GP. By his standard, no one would ever be able to see a different GP! Not only this but I took my friend to get stitches out a few days prior to this and the Dr didn't discard gloves after touching affected area, then left the room and touched the door handle! Absolutely horrible service. The only good thing this clinic has going for it are the friendly and helpful reception staff.

I have never ever been treated so badly by a so called doctor before. Dr Tan, disgusting. I was trying to talk to him and explain the position and situation of my intellectually disabled sister. He wouldn't look at her, listen to me or her. Berated me, and made me feel totally inadequate. I couldn't speak with him as he talked over me, and just wouldn't listen. I have never ever had such an upsetting and unsettling appointment ever. I was in tears when I left. I would never recommend him. On the other hand, I've been to Dr Sri at this clinic, and he is lovely.

One of the receptionist was very rude when I was about to leave with my child after checkup. Long waiting. Dr Sudanthi Amarasekera didn’t even examine my baby properly. It was all very rushed and just not letting me finish my sentence when I was trying to talk about antibiotics and to examine baby’s throat, which she didn’t examine. It should have been like we were being cared for but it was more like they were thinking I was a dumb mother who needed lecture from receptionist and doctor. Not worth it won’t go there again.Very apathetic and cold.

I've usally always been quiet happy with the clinic until tonight, I took my 2 babies in with a rash and the doctor i had did nothing said it could be this or that I don't know. I asked should i be worried hence why I was at the doctor 2 year old and a 6 month old was going to send me away with no explanation nothing. I was so angry about the was he was especially with kids its enough for me to never take them there again. I usally don't complain but was so appalled would not recommend again or if so check doctor is thoroughly checking kids

I attended this clinic, not expecting much help as my past experience had been reasonably unsatisfactory. I was pleasantly surprised, Dr Sudanthi showed great empathy, and understanding to my medical needs when other doctors (from previous clinics) did not. She was understanding, and listened then provided fair and reasonable advice. I would recommend seeing Dr Sudanthi in future. The clinic was also very helpful when my son injured his finger late at night I was able to come down immediately, great to know this option is available

Avoid like the plague. Doctors are lazy and don’t properly assess patients, won’t take you seriously and will tell you to go elsewhere because having to assess and treat a patient is too much of a burden. If you complain the receptionist will be of no assistance and just throw completely absurd and blatantly incorrect privacy law advice that allegedly protects the practice manager from being contacted in the event of making a complaint! Laughable. Absolute disaster of a clinic should have their licence pulled and closed down.

Last time I’ll ever see Dr Tan My partner and I saw him as we are having difficulty with our baby. Screaming non stop. We wanted him to check for ear infection Dr Tan proceeded to lecture me about not breastfeeding, basically accused my partner of lying about they way our son chokes on vomit and proceeded to ask me if I’d like anti depressants I am making a complaint to the AMA This is the 3rd time he has behaved poorly Towards me and my baby. I suspect he hates seeing babies Do not take your child to him

Like the other reviews please avoid Dr.Tan. He refused to write a script for a regular medication I take even though I had been to that clinic numerous times for that very medication. His demeanor is very awkward, and nervously laughs when he talks to you. I refuse to see him and ask specifically for Dr Arcot. She is thorough, knowledgeable, good with children and would strongly suggest seeing her if you're pregnant. I will also add the reception staff are wonderful and cannot fault them at all.

I have just moved into the Lilydale area. I am so impressed with the quality of the service received at Lilydale Medical Clinic. Everybody I dealt with today was professional and very caring. Dr Sri put me at easy, answered all my questions concerning my Covid Vaccinations. He then referred me to the nurse practitioner. She was lovely and was genuinely interested in my well being The reception staff were happy and friendly. I will definitely make Lilydale Medical clinic my new health provider.

I have been attending Lilydale Medical Clinic for more than ten years. My whole family have also been attending this clinic. I would highly recommended this clinic to anyone. I am very appreciative of the kind and patient doctors and reception staff, particularly Dr Srikumaran, my treating doctor who always spends time with me and listens attentively to my concerns and gives me complete understanding. Dr Tan has also been very helpful in finding the right treatments and specialist for me.

Unfortunately had to visit again yesterday with DR SUDANTHI the only 1 working. Receptionist was LOVELY. Nurses are also LOVELY. DR SUDANTHI is not. Rude and offensive and calling me out on a prior negative review! I am entitled to my opinion and my experience with her is not acceptable. Perhaps she should consider ALL of these other negative reviews of herself before placing blame and singling me out. I will NEVER be back no matter the urgency. Dr Sri is the only decent one I've seen.

All at the clinic are always helpful, attentive, caring and thoughtful in attending to my medical needs. Dr. Tan is my treating doctor and he is always understanding and thorough in making sure I receive caring, thoughtful and considered treatment for all of my needs. And especially during the restrictions caused by Melbourne's 'lockdowns' Lilydale Medical Clinic has been most helpful with their telehealth and online appointments and medical care and prescriptions.

If I could rate 0 I would. DR Tan is a joke! How he can practice medicine is immensely disturbing. He is the most unprofessional, incompetent and rude GP I have ever come across. I went to see Dr Syan John Tan about getting some firtility test and he refuse to treat me for not having a relationship with him prior to my request. Appointment was running extremely late and to be treated as not worthy of legitimate test for my health due to his personal al issues with it is just wrong. I wont be returning to this clinic and will take my health and wellbeing elsewhere to doctors who's actually care.

0 stars if I could do less I would!! Absolutely useless went in with a very simple request for a referral and the doctor didn’t even look at me. Even with what I was needing written in an email didn’t even look at the email and completely disregarded what I was needing and asking for. Absolute waste of time was incredibly rude and didn’t even look at me or make eye contact the whole time I was in the appointment room.

Lilydale Medical Clinic has been my personal place for medical attention for many years. It is well established with efficient facility to address the needs of general practice and has a highly responsive team to meet Covid-19 Vaccination requirements. As a rare service, I was pleased to have received a follow up call from the manager in charge this morning to address the concerns of my last visit to the clinic.

Worst medical centre in the area. Requested a telehealth appt as I`m isolating with Covid. Wanted to get some antivirals for Covid symptoms as I`m 60yo.. Dr Sri called and then told me I`m ineligible. Spent about 60 seconds on the phone, charged $70.00 and they didn`t even issue me a receipt for Medicare. Have requested my money back or at least a receipt to claim part of the cost from Medicare. Still waiting

I do not recommend this clinic. I saw Dr Tan and have had to make an official complaint to the HCC as his behaviour genuinely concerns me as I think he negligence and attitude could be a serious danger to patients. Please think carefully before booking an appointment here. I wish u had read the reviews before booking. There are plenty of other bulk billing clinics in the area so just go somewhere else.

I have a concession card. Was literally in an out in 5 minutes. Told to take antihistemes for my allergy! I am now in extreme pain, covered in welts and pain. All over my body and will leave scars. Dr Sri is my current doctor and is very good. He has skin cancer knowledge and is a good GP. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly I understand the comments from others about Dr Tan or as I call him Dr Basil Faulty. I saw him about sinusitis/ sinus problems I’ve had since I was young, but he thought I possibly had asthma and referred me to box hill. Make appointments with the other Drs

She explained everything so well and was just such an empathetic person. The best people skills in the clinic (the receptionists are pretty sweet too). Thanks so much, you are amazing at your job

Visited the clinic after a nasty kitchen knife cut. Got in to see a doctor quickly and Dr Anand Singh was very helpful. He was patient and gentle in his treatment of my finger and recommended I return for a follow up. I left with extra bandages and a plan to treat my finger and came back in a few days for the follow up. Excellent service and my finger’s all better

Give this place a wide berth. The rude and judgemental advice Dr. Amarasekera gave my son bordered on medical negligence. I had to google dosage instructions for the medication as she hadn’t even bothered to give him that. I took him to a proper doctor the next day and the level of care could not have been more different. Dr. Amarasekera, you should be ashamed of yourself.

The Asian Dr we just saw was a joke. He didn't want to look at the issues our daughter had. We had to Prompt him to do so. He then wouldn't touch her because she was in some discomfort. He then just stuttered for a bit and said OK anti biotics yeah? As if we know if that's the right thing to do. Who is the Dr here? Never going back. Would not recommend to anyone.

Wish I had have read these reviews before I booked! Of course Dr Tan was wide open for appointments last minute....perhaps that should have been the alarm bell. Absolutely useless, actually asked ME how long he thought my son needed to have off sports due to a knee injury....umm that’s kinda why I’m here?! I called to make an appointment to get a medical certificate today and the receptionist called Amy was incredibly rude. She acted like I was inconveniencing her and being ridiculous for calling at such a busy time. Have had a few unsettling incidents at the clinic but this put the nail in the coffin. Will be going to a different clinic from now on.

Clinic is fine if you know what you have and just need a script or certificate but Dr Tan is terrible! Unprofessional, uneducated, unskilled, unhelpful! Doctors arnt that great. I paid $31 to see what was wrong with me. I told him I think I've got tonsillitis and he just said ok ill give you tablets for thst and didn't even look at me to see what I could have. I was in there for 1 minute and that was it. Thanks to a text I received from the clinic, I was able to fast track getting fully vaccinated and got my second jab here instead of at a state based clinic. Service was fast and efficient. All staff and doctor were friendly and courteous. So thankful to be fully vaccinated now thanks to Dr Sumita and the team here! …

Have been here a number of times , some of the doctors are good and nurses and reception staff always friendly and helpful. Dr Tan however is unsure always checking if what he is saying is OK. Doesn't bother to examine you or give advise on medication he is prescribing. Come out feeling very worried about his qualifications .

I find Dr Tan very thorough. I've been prescribed useless antibiotics by other clinics for an ear infection which Dr Tan found was not bacterial but fungal. He prescribed the correct medication and it cleared quick. I'd had this for months until I saw him. I've always found him very good.

Doctor seemed to have no idea what he was doing, had to be promoted to check the areas that were the issue and just seemed to keep googling everyrhing. Ended up going for a second opinion yesterday with another doctor and luckily we did as she was extremely unwell and ended up in hospital

Don't see Dr. Tan. He has no clue what he is talking about and is not personable what so ever. Was waiting 50 minutes with a sick baby and didn't listen to me when I told him my son's symptoms. He didn't seem to care at all and was very quick to send me out the door with a script.

Lovely reception staff, they have often fitted in urgent cases and are very efficient. The nursing staff are wonderful and very caring. I have often seen Dr Sri and found him to be easy to talk to, knowledgeable and very good at small procedures.
