Had an early lunch here on Thursday. We stumbled on this restaurant completely by accident, and I am so glad we did! Hidden in the industrial area of Prestons, it honestly was the last place I'd expect to find a restaurant of this calibre. My wife and I had a delightful time here. Upon entry we were politely greeted by a staff member who was friendly, professional and quickly found us a seat we liked. The restaurant is well spaced out so you're not cramped and weaving your way around a maze of tables. Chairs are comfortable and tables are at a comfortable height. The inside has got sound absorbing panels neatly placed everywhere, so that it is not even a little bit noisy. I could have an easy conversation with my wife without having to raise my voice or strain to hear her. And although you can hear your surroundings, somehow it doesn't intrude into the conversation at your table and nor was I able to listen to the conversations occurring at other tables. This place accommodates for everyone. It is well thought out and truly comfortable to visit. They also have a private function room, which I would not have seen if it were not pointed out to me. The service we received was prompt, not pushy or rushed, and 100% accurate. We weren't constantly interrupted, but neither were we ever left unattended. We ordered a shared antipasto as an entree, followed by our mains of casarecce ragu and mushroom risotto. The dishes were brought out with obvious care given to the timing. We never once had to shuffle plates and dishes around the table because everything had come out at once, and nor did we have to wait for an uncomfortable amount of time to receive our mains once we had finished or entree. Like I said, timing was perfect. Also ordered a Dirty Chai and Flat White coffee, which honestly was the best coffee I've had in a long time - thank you to whoever was the barista today- the coffee you made me was ever so satisfying! The food was delicious! In fact it was so nice that as soon as I had my first bite I leant back and said to my wife, "Aaahhh this makes my heart happy! " The flavours were authentic, and satisfying. The food was fresh and of high quality. All the flavours worked well together and didn't compete against each other. I can't describe how good it was - you simply have to taste it yourself. Admittedly we didn't have dessert, so we can't comment on that; but we'll have some next time we visit. It honestly was the best restaurant experience I've had in a long time, and it made for a very nice and much cherished date with my beautiful wife. To top it off, their prices are modest too. We've already made plans to come back. I can not recommend this place highly enough to you. Just in case you're thinking this is not a legitimate review, let me end this review by saying; No, I am not a relative, friend, or acquaintance of the restaurant owners or the workers there... I'm just an extremely delighted customer.

We booked a function in the restaurant with a signed contact and paid deposit. However after a couple of months passed Lily's realised that the date would clash with a public holiday and reached out to ask us to move the function to the terrace area. The terrace area is a narrow enclosed outdoor area with cars parked up against the glass window. We of course did not want to move as we had specifically booked to be inside the restaurant, especially since Lily's is located in an industrial area without nice views. To our shock and disappointment Lilys decided to cancelled our booking within weeks of the event so that they could use the main restaurant for guests who might drop on the public holiday. This is extremely unprofessional and greedy. We did not receive an apology and have had to scramble to find an alternative venue, re-organise vendors and notify 50 guests of the changes at such late notice. While we used to dine regularly here with family and friends, we will not be coming to Lilys again after this experience. It goes without saying that I would not recommend to anyone to book a function here in case you find yourself in the same stressful situation.

Have dinner with my wife here tonight and didn't disappoint us. Excellent customer service..food are delish as usual..our mission is to try different dishes everytime we dine in there..it's friday nigth so they have live music (nice music by the way he sound like James Reyne but I think this guy has better tone) but even then the environment is so relaxing and noise is not too loud...we'll keep coming back and keep up the good work guys..special mention to Pedya who made a special mocktail for my wife"virgin lychee with strawberries martini without martini

We celebrated our parents 60th wedding anniversary and found the restaurant to be stylish and beautiful. The food was excellent in flavour and was served hot. The wait staff were very good at their job and assisted us with all our needs. It is highly recommended to have a function at Lilys cafe. The experience was beautiful. The ambience was such that we could mingle with our guests. All our guests spoke highly of the experience they had and all enjoyed the food.

Been here for dinner with a large group and now breakfast with my wife and I. Both times, the food was exceptional, the atmosphere was calm and relaxed and the service is boynd good. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, if you don't have a meal here you are missing out on a great experience with really reasonable pricing.

Came for Breakfast on a weekday, great service, great food. Came back for dinner a few weeks later on a busy Friday night with the family, still fantastic service despite the fact they were slammed. Food was fantastic, so much flavour, and a great variety, The kids loved the woodfired grissini - what a hit! And the kids pizza was a treat. Good to see Eddie there - such a great maitre de! I can see why this place easily gets a 5 star ratings average. The service by the staff was exceptional. Super friendly, will come to check in to make sure you’re happy with the dishes, also very polite and observant. From a service perspective it is easily a 5/5. The taste of the pasta I ordered was also really good. Not too creamy or flavourful, just right. Really good food and coffee.

I can only speak for the dinner side of things not the cafe/breakfast side. Dinner was phenomenal, every dish was very tasty and decent sized portions. Can really tell they use higher end ingredients. The waiters and floor staff were all very attentive and friendly, constantly checking up on us and even filing our glasses. Prices were fair and reflected the quality. Pizza was amazing and the gnocchi is the best I have ever had! Highly recommend!

Enjoyed a very well cooked and presented Dinner. Very refreshing to go to a restaurant that has taken acoustics into account, we weren’t screaming at each other over the table. Staff were fabulous! Impressive, italian is hard to perfect for many restaurants but Lilys did a great job. This newish modern restaurant was packed, with a great atmosphere, yet the food come fairly quick with no delays and was quality. Servings weren’t big but quality over quantity is the reason why. Got takeaway pizza after reading the good reviews, we’ve been looking for a great pizza place. We got supreme and meat lovers & loved it. The sauce was nice and dough was nice and chewy and the right thickness. So glad that we finally found a restaurant to get decent pizza. Delivery was free too. Such a lovely place- great menu, food was delicious, and service was so friendly & welcoming. We had the grilled octopus with potatoes, stuffed zucchini flowers, seafood spaghetti, burrato pizza, pana cotta, crème brûlée & sticky date. Was all delicious! Sticky date was one of the best I’ve tasted- very moist with delicate flavours & the sauce was devine. Will definitely be back again. Thanks for having us.

My new favourite Italian resturant! Modern, clean and tasteful setting. Simply excellent service, a solid 5.0 star! All staff are very polite and respectful. Pizza was quick and delicious. I held my 30th Birthday as Lily’s last night and what can I say, the food was absolutely amazing, the customer service was fabulous, our waiter was very attentive at all times ensuring we were well looked after. Absolutely fantastic Italian food - evey time! We have been here many times and the food is always great. The pasta is handmade and perfectly accompanied by the sauces. Garlic prawns are excellent. Burger and chips at lunch are good too. Great wine list. Super friendly staff. Love coming here!
