Liquor City Claremont is a fantastic place that is very impressive as soon as you walk in. I have never seen a more impressive selection of wines and Gins in any bottle store anywhere in South Africa. I was also surprised by how good their prices are, especially in light of the incredible selection they offer. Don't be deceived by what you can see from the road as it does not look like much. You'll be very pleasantly surprised. The times that I visited, there were multiple tastings of Gin and wines which were done by very knowledgeable wine and liquor agents. The staff and management are all very helpful and were a pleasure to deal with. On one occassion, I bought a large quantity of drinks for a function and was able to return all unopened packs and bottles without a problem. Parking is also very convenient and if you are really lucky you can park right outside the front door. I am from Durban, but I will only shop here in future when staying in the southern suburbs. I can't recommend Liquor City Claremont more highly. If you have been, give the a visit. You won't be disappointed.

They have a very good selection of wines, craft beers, regular beers, craft ciders, regular ciders, craft gins, whiskys and other such beverages and they are open most hours of the day which is extremely convenient if you live in the area and you would like to pick up a few beverages from time to time! Also look out for their biltong and pork crackling which go very well together with a few cold beers or ciders while watching the rugby! Always well stocked.

I live in Table view and we have a great Liquor City with friendly staff in our area. However, if I am in the Claremont area, I try to pop in at Liquor City Claremont. I like craft beer and their range of options is one of the best in CT. If I can buy a single can or bottle to try, I may just buy a 6 pack. They offer both. After paying for my goods today I noticed their range of epic single malt whiskies behind the counter. Probably the best around

Perhaps one of the widest selections of alcohol under one roof in the Southern Suburbs. The small entrance and parking belies the size of the interior. Here you'll find a huge selection of crafts and production brands at competition-beating prices (but only just). However, the inside is dingey and not the most inviting of stores. There is little effort in merchandising happening at the security and staff will make you feel slightly unwelcome.

Huge craft beer selection but they only offer bulk discounts on a very few. Otherwise it's all silly expensive single bottle prices which leads to R2.5k per month plus if you like a few brews daily. They need to take a cue from Ultra Liquors and offer case price discounts. They'd sell a lot more product. I reckon many of those small craft brewery beers sit, sit, sit at R35 or more per bottle (some are less, but not far off!).

The guy called Israel his just amazing man his good for his work managing. So kind whenever I get there even other people he just treats them all in equal. The people are working on cashiers just all fabulous. Beautiful smiles all the time. They dont bring their bad feelings to there work I love them all. Every time my boss send me there I know that I going to the right people with a loving hearts

Also, absolutely top notch selection of beers, local, international and just about everything of every sort from wine to whiskey (which, specifically, I believe may be the biggest selection in SA if not mistaken?). Anyway, great unassuming one-stop and my go-to whenever in CPT. Trading days/hours are super convenient, too...

I love this bottle store. Anytime I'm looking for something slightly unusual, I find it here. That includes the Constantia Glen 3 & 5. Wilderer Gin and Ernst, Gouws & Co chardonnay. It's a little shop that's a bit crammed, but that adds to the charm for me. Really helpful and polite staff, but they also don't crowd you, which I like. Love this store!

If you're looking for something different, you'll be amazed at the large variety of craft beers and Gins on offer at Liquor City Claremont. They have over 280 different Gins to choose from. The staff were polite and assisted when needed. Understandably, craft products are expensive, so prices are on the steep side.

Widest selection of Craft beer I've ever seen. Premium wine and spirits also available. Staff are friendly and helpful. Fri - Sun it hosts beer, wine and spirit tastings from 4pm onwards. This is the perfect place to pick up some drinks after work and get you into the weekend mood. I love it !

Great variety of craft beer at competitive prices. Just watch out for the odd old/expired beer still on the shelves. If you do buy one, and bring it back before opening it, they will happily exchange it for you. Just save yourself the trip and check best before dates before buying.

The service and range of products in this store must be hard to beat. Management are always on hand to tend to customer queries if needed which hardly happens because the staff are well-trained and knowledgeable. They go the extra mile and take note of customer needs. Well done.

I was in and out in 10 mins with everything I needed. There's plenty of staff around, all very friendly and willing to help. They have a huge whiskey, beer, and wine selection, so chances are they'll have exactly what you're looking for and then some.

Excellent range of wine and spirits; local and international brands stocked. The gin section is really large and always includes new and interesting brands. Whisky selection is extensive from regular Irish and Scotish to Japanese and Indian whiskies.

The store is busy being extended and upgraded, (May/June 2021). The building work does not detract from the amazing knowledge base of the staff and impressive array of bottles to choose from. Looking forward to the bigger store.

Decent prices, enormous selection of drinks including whiskeys, wines and beers, friendly service. Criticisms would be the scarcity of parking and the fact that you could find things cheaper elsewhere, but not by too much.

Most of the time the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.The exception is the Portuguese lady who is an absolute delight and an asset to any company. The store is very well stocked with an excellent range of everything.
