Hello! I graduated from LJMU with a Science degree, it was one of the courses that LJMU eradicated from their science programmes a year after I graduated due to the dwindling job market in that field. I was promised the world at the LJMU open day as a young man in 2003. I was guaranteed by the staff at LJMU open that if I enrol and graduate then I’d be able to work in a career related to my degree or in a job with a career ladder in place. Unfortunately after four gruelling years of studying, I went to seek advice from the careers office, the best they done was show me where to write my name on a CV, I later visited the staff who promised me this “plan, dream and achieve” baloney only for them to shrug their shoulders. I could remember during the gap year, upon seeking work experience with LJMU, they offered a total of THREE positions to two hundred plus students. Anyhow, a decade later and a hefty student loan dangling down my neck to this day, I have managed to work as a fork lift driver. Funny enough, had I went to work in dead end jobs from the beginning, I would’ve been better off. I wasted all those valuable years only so LJMU could reel in that last batch of profit. Should LJMU be implicated in the failure of the many thousand of students who were blinded Succumbed into their due to fail career courses? Well that’s for them to decide. My advice, avoid this university like the plague.

Huge lack of support, especially in the fine art department. Stubborn course leaders refuses to even record zoom calls, meaning if you can’t access them at the time for whatever reason, you’ll never be able to watch them, affecting your attendance. You’d think for £9,250 a year they’d do the absolute bare minimum.

I am already conducting my MSc at LJMU and I can say that everything is going the way I was hoping. The staff is very supportive, the lecturers are very professional, there is a wide range of sources for your research and the university organizes a lot of activities and field trips.

wouldn't recommend this university to anyone, I made my biggest mistake in my life enrolling in this university. The passing rate in postgraduate is %50 for a reason. Almost no support from lecturers . The way you are treated for some staff based on colour and race.

I studied here and had a great time although I couldn't continue with LJMU no longer. Everyone including the teaching staff were very friendly, helpful and caring. But the Building is very different from rest of the LJMU buildings.

Great University enjoyed my time here and the staff I had for biomed degree were fantastic. The uni is underfunded, especially IM marsh but new buildings are being build so I can see its getting some much needed new facilities.

Never join this university.Pathetic.Racism at its peak.They will never let you clear papers and ask for hefty fees.Even if you do assignments properly ,they will ensure you fail.IDP should not be trusted as an agency.
