Service was good, however food was overpriced for the portion size. When my partner and I (we are both locals, ironic) came for breakfast I ordered the eggs in the pan which came with a piece of toast, 2 almost raw eggs and about 100g of tomato capsicum purée that smelled nice but was bland as hell. My partner got a piece of toast with 2 mushrooms and a small ramekin of sour avocado, a long with a small glass (200ml) of “Green juice”. All together this cost $45! We understand that the bland and terrible taste of the food may have satisfied a wealthy senile person with dilapidated taste buds, (which is most likely the major demographic here) so we ate the food anyway. Quite happy to (literally) pay the price for our disappointing meal that we just ate, we decided to enlighten them on our experience politely as we both work in a restaurant and understand the value of customer feedback in order to make improvements. Upon explaining that our food was bland, totally not expecting to be reimbursed, Gordan Butina (who was working as the barista and the owner of the “fine” establishment) asked if we had eaten all the food, implying that we were somehow misrepresenting our experience, he then said “ you shouldn’t have eaten any of it if you didn’t like it” and further explained how we were most definitely wrong. Gordan’s hubristic attitude is really what inspired me to write this review as you would think that charging $45 for two very small and very tasteless breakfast meals would make him take our feedback into consideration. At least, that is how we would do it in the restaurants that we work in. Safe to say, we won’t be coming back here to burn any money and will be spreading word around the town of our experience.
THE LOVELY LAMINGTON I was once surprised to receive a delicious Lamington. It was one of these afternoons when I decided to take a break from my office. I went across and Vanija had just made Lamingtons. She came to me and said, “Nicolas try this” I already had ordered so I took it with me. I was supposed to bring it back home to share with my partner. However, after opening the bag and trying the Lamington I simply could not stop. It was so delicious. The carefully coconut-coated portion was melting just by looking at it. My eyes could only think about the sampled I took a bite from. When I started to eat again, I was surprised by a rather unique strawberry jam on the inside. It was like having afternoon tea with grandma. The cake itself was so moist it was a delicate pleasure to the pallet. I wish I had taken a photo of it to illustrate my thoughts. I had the pleasure to try some of Vanija's other cake-creations before, but this was something else. The local’s corner is truly local, there are several opportunities to eat, and a vast choice of food for every budget. I particularly enjoy the adaptability of team, especially when I turn up almost at closing time. Nonetheless there is always someone trying to accommodate my needs, I find this rather helpful, especially when it is so last minute. I encourage anyone to go to the Local’s corner specially to enjoy, good food, time with friends, as food brings people together. Deliciousness brings happiness The Local’s corner certainly lives up to that. Bon Appetit everyone
Female chefs with hair everywhere! Unhygenic... horiible barista says he's a "great" barista but cant pour latte art if his life depended on it plus his milk was over frothed and bubbly not incorporated into the milk at all. Waitress was also rude with her sarcastic "sir" at the end of every sentence. Reply to the owner: None of the chefs were wearing hats! or hair nets either. Yes catching up on the reviews of all the cafes in the area that need to be reviewed as quite frankly they are not up to standard yours included. P.S not reviewing your poorly due to my mood, just on the things observed! Please go down to Manly and try Barefoot Coffee and be honest with yourself, that your coffee is not nearly half as good. As for food i can't comment as your menu reads so poorly there's literally 50 things on it and nothing unique, plus with the amount of hair that's probably in it would be very chewy!
Absolutely the worst coffee ever. So bitter and sour I thought something was wrong with it. I hate to complain so I kept trying to drink it, telling myself it would improve, but eventually had to tell the staff, which I did politely and calmly. She didn't apologise or even say she'd look into it, just argued with me and acted like I was in the wrong! How can a café know if something is wrong if customers don't tell them about their experience? The only reason I gave two stars for service was because the other waitress was nice and polite. The one who responded to my complaint was just rude.

Generally the experience I've had at this place has been a good one. The food is usually good enough for somewhere you would go locally for a quick breakfast. Unfortunately the last experience I had with their eggs wasn't a good one. I asked for the eggs to be cooked well enough so that they weren't runny. After receiving runny eggs their solution was to put them back on the pan which led to the eggs burning and developing thick charred skin. I was then asked by the later whether that was ok? To be honest I just didn't say anything and pretended to start 18 but then did not even take a bite. Honestly just couldn't be bothered to ask for the issue to be fixed again as I wasn't entirely confident that they could do that.
Serendipity ! I was passing by en route to the fabric store in Burnt Street, and thought this must be good, as all the patrons and staff looked happy to be there. The coffee is an excellent brew, so nicely served in a ceramic cup. My mother had a pot of chai -the aroma was fabulous. Food is excellent -we had a protein bar and the French toast is a must. It looks and tastes wonderful. It’s a Lovely light and airy space. Finally a very big thank you to Sunny who served us professionally and was so patient and kind to my mum. Highly recommend.

Good local cafe, the coffee is well made, and the food is also good. Good variety of menu options, including standard breakfast favourites and different twists (such as a bacon and egg roll with chorizo). Sometimes gets busy especially if it's a nice day, so be prepared to potentially wait for a table. Would be nice if you could book a table if you were planning to go out for lunch. This place is also dog friendly (as long as you sit outside) - staff will come and say hello to you and your dog, give your dog a fresh bowl of water, and treats.

It has been a few years since I’ve been here but nothing has changed… Great service, staff friendly and smiling, the coffee was the best I have had in quite a while(I usually drink three a day) and the food was prompt! Which at first concerned me till my first bite! Great place and atmosphere… I’ll be back again sooner this time!! Matt

Amazing! The menu is very comprehensive with your usual breakfast suspects and also some new and different dishes. Everything we had also tasted amazing. The egg white omelette my friend has was huge and next time I'll have that. The Locals croissant also looked amazing if you're into that kind of thing (i.e. not the lightest thing on the menu). Oh and the banana bread with espresso butter was out of this world good! Apart from the food, the service was speedy and friendly and we liked the overall vibe too. Lots of dogs here too which is a bonus!
The atmosphere of the cafe caught me as I was passing by with my bike. Even though it is right next to a busy road I did not feel stressed by the traffic. Food & Coffee were excellent and only took 10 minutes. Totally recommend this coffee if you are looking for good food & coffee and a positive, but relaxing atmosphere

Excellent place for the weekend breakfast/brunch. Even though they were busy, we didn't have to wait long for a table, with the staff being very welcoming, attentive and friendly. Menu is reasonably priced offering delicious and fresh food with generous serving sizes. The barista makes a beautiful coffee with lovely roasted beans. The place is in a great location and is dog friendly. Will definitely be coming back again.
Food looked good. Coffee was good. Almost croissant was good. May have been just my particular experience, but the simple eggs dish took a while to come out and then even when I'd asked specifically for no chorizo... there it was - chorizo on top! I was in a rush to make an appointment, so had to cancel the order and go hungry for the next few hours.

Fantastic venue for a relaxed breakfast or brunch - great interior design, good indoor and outdoor space and a really warm and friendly "good" atmosphere. The food was great, while coffee was a bit too over-burnt to my taste. I would come back for the atmosphere and food, less so for a coffee. It took a while to get the order, but it was Sunday morning so I would try again before 9am or after 11am.
Stopped here for breakfast. It was busy so we were offered a seat at the window bench. When a table became free they offered to move us there which we accepted. Food arrived promptly (small issue of side order of bacon being forgotten but this was quickly rectified) and was excellent. Coffee was good (and hot, not lukewarm!). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.
Don't take a 4 star as a bad review. Great location. Friendly staff. Great food. Coffee was a little bitter/burnt but I guess 'good coffee' is subjective. My only other comment is lose the relish on the steak sandwich, steak on its own tastes great! The relish kind of masks the steak taste which is a shame. Chips were perfect though! Its days like today I need the ability to give a 4.5.
Best cafe between Seaforth & Dee Why. Fantastic coffee, great service, food options & quality are outstanding. We have to drive to get there but worth it for the quality. Never been disappointed. Options to sit inside, outside or in a sunny spot. Never bother going anywhere else.

Didn't have a great experience here, which is a shame because the setting was nice, the waiters were really helpful and the food presented really well - it just didn't all come together. Our breakfasts lacked flavour. It was quite heavy and became hard to eat after half the plate, notably the mushrooms. Seemed they were poached or out of a can... A shame
I popped in here after a steep 10km run yesterday, and I was so pleased I did. My flat white, was unbelievable. Creamy, so many notes and flavors. Perfevt temperature. Perfect. What a happy end to an amazing morning out . And everyone was so friendly. A big thank-you to the barrister for making such a glorious mug of Java. Very talented
Nice place with yammi food and a great service with a smile. The outdoors sitting is on the main road, which can be a bit noisy at times.

It's a popular spot for brekkie, brunch or lunch. It was busy when we got there but we're quickly provided a seat. We ordered coffee and breakfast oddly enough our meals arrived before our coffee. Overall it was pleasant experience and the food as expected.

Be aware of this place. Absolute rip off. Food is very average and coffees come out spilt. Be aware menu prices are quoted excluding GST and they will charge you extra at the till. The manager is very rude and will take you for a ride

Really cozy and cool corner location with glass windows offering view of the dynamic roundabout traffic outside. A good ranger of standard cafe food. Attentive staff and solid food and drinks. A reliable local place for no nonsense casual food and chat.

to the team that were on shift on Sunday 16.01.2022. THANKYOU for working so well with the Allergy issues our table threw at you. adjusting menu for one young lady absolutely made her day!!! Food was good value and a relatively generous portion size. Long blacks were on point!
Feels like home as the great staff would treat you as the most important guest of all. Love the owner to bits as during my move to the area she helped me through the whole process by just asking abour my experience and listening to me. Well done guys, keep up the good job.
Great cafe in the heart of Seaforth. Their food and coffee is excellent and the service has always been superb. They are accommodating with kids and it's always busy so you know it's good! It's slightly expensive but worth it compared to its local competition.
A wonderful friendly Cafe for lunch. Staff really excellent, great menu variety and food was fabulous. Reasonably priced too.

Very nice place. Staff is friendly and happy. Vanja, the owner is always there to cheer you up. Food selection is great and they have some very interesting and yum dishes. They have a big selection of pastries which are great with coffee any time of day!
This place is always busy and really popular, so prepare for a short wait. I only had a coffee which was delicious but others had lunch and all options were well received. They do a late breakfast for those who like to sleep in on the weekends.
today I asked for a double espresso, paid $5.50 and the barista poured the coffee from a plastic bottle that is used for sauces. thank you, it still tasted ,,amazing’’ like instant coffee and I threw it in the trash around the corner.
Excellent friendly service, very attentive. Great coffee. Good variation in the menu, food is tasty and usually can't fault it but seems to lack that special factor. Convenient opening hours for lunch or afternoon coffee.
The service from one of the guys is consistently bad, which is a shame as everyone else is nice and the food pretty good.
