Let Souls Be United Fans of LSBU will not be disappointed by the day-long symposium on Stanislavsky and Mindfulness which was held in partnership with The S Word held at Erdic Theatre on 20 April 2023. A varied display of phosphorescent adrenaline generated alternative interpretations about how to focus the brain on what it means to be conscientious in terms of practising mindfulness. The one day event was coordinated by Dr Dawn Ingleson and Dr Pat O'Toole in the hope of interrogating what it means to be mindful on literal, theoretical and contextual levels of self discovery. I will focus on the following themes such as the use of emotional understanding in terms of Stanislavian interpretations to the self reflexive thoughts, then the use of dual mindfulness and lastly the use of joyful stamina exploring the stress reductive approach to mindfulness. The aim of the day is caring about individuals and its aesthetic qualities to attain a balance in wellness. A synaptic response to the day would be to remember that Stanislavsky introduced yoga-inspired exercises as preparation for rehearsal and performance in 1937. The quote to articulate what life means in terms of Stanislavian interpretations will be: 'Real life emotions are read in studying the acting process, rehearsals need to be distinguished from life performances' (Konijon 2002:78). In its readings behind the shift of emotions ranging from the psychological acting, training and thinking about the self recognising a deeper sense of tranquility. A deeper sense of tranquility comes from embodied knowledge has been linked to transforming and practising which are applicable to Stanislavian's theory as well as yoga in itself. Most importantly the theorem could be thought of as ways 'to develop initiative, excite curiosity, exercise the imagination' (Littlewood 2003: 199). As a practice, acting has been taught to be a method to 'paying full attention to all our experiences, including our bodies, thoughts, moods and emotions and the small changes' (Ingleson 2021: 168). By unpacking the reading from Dr Ingleson offload a sense of how humans should engage and educate themselves about the methodologies of acting well. The ideas of acting should be seen as a practical experience but also respected as a respected profession. The characterisation of acting and the actor stay true to the script they have read. My fascination with mindfulness always endured because the stress reductive approach created a space for a peaceful end to the symposium. The last forty five minutes in solitude amongst like minded souls was a fitting tribute to the contributions and efforts made to make the event one of my favourite subjects to explore at one of my favourite places on the planet to be. LSBU's educational roots are further emphasised by its longstanding links to radical left wing approaches to engage with the world around us all. Evidently, it helps, of course, that one of the most committed ambassadors have been the staff, students, alumni and guests whose engagement with modern interpretations mindfulness means we are all living through the golden era of achieving tranquility using the highest realms of practise known to humanity.

As a current second year student here, I can't say anything about the other departments and subjects, but what I can talk about is Law, as that is my field of study. The reason i chose to study here at London Southbank University is because I came to an open event, and wasnt sure what to expect, I then talked to a teacher about Law, and said I wanted to study business as well as law, and he said that he didn't know much about business law, as he was a teacher of family law, however he didnt just brush me off and tell me to talk to someone else, he tried his best to explain to me what the subject would entail and what the modules would require of me; he then asked me if I would like to hear about his field which is family law, and i said yes. He was so passionate about what he did, and what he taught, that it inspired me, so I ended up choosing to specialise in family law; however after studying a year and recently starting my second a week ago, I decided to just study Law LLB, as this would allow for me to speciaise in law as a whole, not just one single area. Another reason I chose to study here was because there is an attatched Legal Clinic, which you can go and do work experience in, and really get a feel for working in the law; I haven't worked there yet, however I am planning to in the second semester, or in my final year next year. I thought this was a brilliant idea, as this would allow students to really get a feel for what would be required of them if they chose to work as a lawyer. Guys, I am not gonna lie and tell you that the first year of uni was all flowers and roses, because it definitely wasn't, and it was just as difficult as the next two are going to be, but like with all things, you only get as much as you are willing to put in and work for. The teachers do help you and guide you, however it is up to you to do the work and put in the hard work. If you are more a fan of coursework then this might not be the university for you, as from my experience there is more exams than coursework, and you will barely get any coursework, HOWEVER, dont let this put you off because they do help you where needed and make sure you are okay and doing well, such that when the exams come around, you will be okay. The seminars are all taught professionally, and the lecturers are good too, but you have to as I said, put in the work. My biggest advice for new students is revise from the word go, don't leave it to last minute; pay attention in classes and turn up; and really get involved. It is an amazing uni and i am so glad I stuck with it.

I would give this Uni no stars if I could. I was very badly treated at this university and would recommend that everyone stay away from it. I did a BSc in Microbiology/Bioscience and received little to no help at all during my three years. The lecturers always seemed as though they were working against you and that no matter what problem you had you were always in the wrong. There was little to no support from the on campus students union. In my second year the whole class failed 2 modules as the whole exam was on parts of the subjects we had not actually been taught (or told about) and when anyone complained about it we were told 'that we were able to resit the exam but the that time the register to resit was closed and that it was made clear to students' however seeing as only one person resat the modules I would say that It wasn't made clear. We all then had mitigating circumstances on our results and no-one managed to get a decent degree. Like I said when we complained we were all told it was our fault, the lecturers didn't take any of the blame. During my project I received very little help from my project lead who was actually very rude to me (i'm pretty sure it was because i am female), gave me panic attacks and repeatedly told me I was going to fail my project and would have to resit the year. I graduated from this uni in 2013 and because of my time spent here I still suffer from anxiety and struggle massively from a lack of self confidence. Also due to the problems in my second year and my lower class degree I also now find it hard to get a decent job. Also when I recieved my results in third year I was told that I got 0 on an exam because I had failed to turn up, when I did actually sit the exam. Firstly, I had to phone up to find that out, Secondly I had sat the exam and it took the lecturer a week to find the registration list and fins that I was actually corrrect. It then took him 2 weeks to find my exam script and another week to mark it I then received a mark of 6% (after a month of waiting) I was told I needed to resit. I then asked for the exam to be remarked by someone else (It took me ages to get this sorted out) the refused to let someone else remark it but the lecturer had another look at the exam at gave me a passing grade. Again when I complained about this I received no feedback or compensation. It seems as though the problems I've had here are quite common. My advice DON'T GO TO LSBU. If you're going through clearing go somewhere else, even resit your exams but don't go here for the sciences.

This university had been absolutely appalling for me as some of many lecturerers, workshop staff and some students themselves were very rude, disrespectful, abusive and hurtful. This university tolerates students to be abusive towards one another as I encountered (Former Student). They allow their physical and verbal abusive acts towards students who were hard-working in their studies. Nothing was done to stop the former student who had became a Piping Material Engineer outside the United Kingdom after his studies at London South Bank University where he had physically and verbally abused an innocent and vulnerable student. Harassment had occurred on students too. It was hard for certain academically talented and/or hard-working students to maintain their studying at this university. In addition, all lecturerers cared absolutely less for their students doing their best to achieve in their studies. They had purposely made the students to suffer mentally through their thoughtless lectures when their explanations were too complex and unstable to understand. Certain lecturerers did not want to continously work at the university anymore. Some had, therefore, never returned again during the students' period of studying (full-time/part-time). Or, some returned for the students once every two weeks or more. The university itself has been unstable to maintain their lecturerers even. The workshop staff members were very rude and were threatening when certain individuals of these members were aggresive/angry. They had abused students who had made mistakes, especially towards them with very small aspects of their made mistake(s). The workshop staff members do get frightened when exposing their bad and unprofessional behaviours, begging students not to report them. They often get angry easily and use foul langauge often. Furthermore, the facilties were outdated. Certain staff at their laboratories were very disrespectful and unhelpful. Moreover, the university itself focuses more on getting the income needed from students once they are accepted to study at this university. The university overall cares less of students and more of their revenue. I as a former student had such a horrendous experience. I could not be able to finish my final year due to the horrible and unhelpful encounters as a hard-working student from this university with an ambitious goal in my life. I strongly advise anyone never to go to London South Bank University as, especially, it is not worth to spend more than £9000, time and effort.

i’m grateful to have had the opportunity to live this wonderful and unforgettable experience. i want to thank mainlymy teachers ömer anastasia and steve who made me feel comfortable and welcomed every class and prepared very interesting topics to talk about. however, one class we were with paul who was very disrespectful towards me, my culture and my country. when we entered the class he had already made rude comments towards us and then we had an argument about the Malvinas/ Falkland islands even after i told him it was a sensitive topic in my country. Among other things, he asked me why would i care about these islands, that they weren’t important and he didn’t care and it was just a piece of land in the middle of the ocean with some people and penguin living in it. he also said that we just talk about the Malvinas and not about the Spanish people colonizing our land because it is of our convenience being a Spanish colony than to remain being native Americans and the same happens in Malvinas, it is better for them being english than Argentinians and in the end england won the war so there was nothing else to argue about and if i care that much about those island why don’t i live there. after the argument a friend said that she agreed with me and he said that of course we will agree because we are all the same. then i started crying and i went to the toilet and when i came back he continued the class as nothing had happened. beyond the argument, he had already been rude, I know we won’t have the same point of view but it wasn’t just what he said but also the way he said it, but the argument started because i said that we had been to the english war museum and it justified england instead of telling the story in a neutral way. i consider he should be careful with what he says, the way he does it and who he says it to because even though it’s not my case, many teenagers have dads or uncles who went to that war or people that live in the south of argentina and were affected by this war in a worse way. besides that, what he did it’s an act of disrespect and me made me and my classmates feel insulted. thankfully he was our teacher just for one day and then we had classes again with Ömer and Anastasia who are amazing people and address us in a respectful manner all the time.

Would not recommend this university. Went to an open day and was really put off. I however had previously already applied to this university and had received an interview. I decided to still attend the interview and keep this university as a back up. HOWEVER, once I attended the university we were sat there waiting for a lecturer. We had waiting for atleast 15 mins before they came and nothing had been set up in terms of the presentation slides, information sheets. NOTHING. Also, previous to the interview process we had undertaken a maths and english test,if we passed we were given an interview. However on the day of the interview,we had been given ANOTHER english test to do,which no one had expected. The presentation was really bad and when getting interviewed by 5 different people,it was even worse. Out of the 5 people interviewing only 1 person was nice and asked questions in regards to the chosen course. The other questions included 'a man in his pajamas is shopping, what do you do'? There were many questions which were totally unrelated to the subject area. I was really shocked by how disorganized everything and everyone was. I would not recommend this university. Like they say, first impressions are lasting impressions, lets just say that this university did not make a great impression AT ALL

Zero star if possible , this uni is a waste of time and effort nothing special about it extremely racist staff you send email you wait a months for response they deliberately play with student mental health and pretend they’re on your support all departments are clueless and note degree form this uni is joke to employers student graduate from this uni are still looking for jobs they’re never admit a mistake they make. I’m writing this message for students that are willing to enrol here DONT!!! It’s trap place if you do then you deserve everything that will happen to you don’t believe the five star comments on the review section here they’re all paid . Any time you raise your voice or complain they send you there favourite email if you’re not happy we will withdraw your visa sponsorship and force you to shut up your month instead of finding solutions that’s the only card they have on you and most students choose to slave themselves everyone knows about this but no one is brave to challenge them generally speaking awful place to study in with the money student pay they can get better treatment somewhere else

  • Amy Jane Gorman

The staff are what makes this university. The psychology department are brilliant, if it wasn't for their support I wouldn't have achieved what I have today (2:1 BSc Psychology Hons). The teachers in the psychology department put their necks out for you in this case and accommodate your needs. I also had DDS arrangements and the department for this are fantastic. The only reason why I knocked 2 stars off is the fact that this place is extremely cliquey and affected my mental health. Students will step on you to get to where they want to get to as entry requirements are lower, it ruined the tone of the place and for other students. If you are looking for that full, fun university experience don't come here - you will end up feeling isolated and having to cut people off and avoiding people to protect your work from being plagiarised and from putting your work in jeopardy. I found the environment extremely toxic and isolating, the only thing that kept me here was the good teachers and their support!

  • N Basu

It is a very good University with brilliant facilities! Staff are very friendly and would go out of their way to help you! All the labs and classrooms are equipped with latest modern facilities. The location is great in the zone1 of London. The University runs many specalised courses which are very reputed. There are many international students which mean one can broaden their horizons greatly by interacting with fellow students who come to study from other parts of the world. It is the number 1 Modern University in the United Kingdom for Graduate starting salaries! Many of the buildings are newly constructed and very up to date. The security systems are excellent! The courses run here are very much catered to industry specific requirements hence employability prospects are hugely widened. The University accomodations are very spacious and appropriately equipped. All in all a great place to live and study in the heart of the largest urban zone in the European Union!

  • JB JB

This university is absolutely horrible. There’s minimum communication with students. You’re sent around in circles when trying to get information. There absolutely no regard for international students! I live in private halls with other international students and after comparing how international students are treated in other universities during the pandemic, even now with the omicron variant, I can say LSBU is disorganized, unprofessional and very inconsiderate of international students, the cash cows of university. Phones are never answered, and if they do answer, they’ll send you around in circles. The university actually had the audacity to ask in a questionnaire if we’d recommend LSBU to someone. I would absolutely never recommend LSBU to anyone. As far as the studying law at LSBU, just know that there very very few decent lecturers and those decent lecturers are just mediocre. The rest are terrible. Spend your money elsewhere! SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!!!!

  • Marta Sokyrka

This is my last semester at LSBU and it has been such a journey! I am an Accounting & Finance student and I am enjoying my course very much. Whether it was a distant or on campus learning, the support was always top-notch. They really do teach. Despite some negative reviews below, I believe you just have to genuinely aim for those 70+ grades and actually study towards the high results. Throughout 3 years of my degree, I have always received a reply to all of my emails, whether I needed help with the topic covered during the lecture/seminar or just a timetable enquiry. Teachers at LSBU, are always willing to go an extra mile to help their students. Workshops, extra revision sessions, one to one tutorials, you just have to attend those. Even though my finals are in January 2023, I am very grateful to everyone who was there for us, and to the incoming students - I wish you the best of luck!

I have bad experience with this university. I requested for recommendation letter for opening my bank account. I mailed 3 weeks ago but no response from them. Then i called students life Centre for 4 times they send my letter but they didn't mention my address though I send then every detail. Everytime i call them they said apologise only but they didn't send my letter till now. Im totally stuck in London. I have finished all my money. I can not ask for money from my home because I don't have any bank account here and even I could not get a job due to no bank account. They only say they will forward my request to prioritise. But I can not get anything more than apologise only. Hope only im one to stuck with this problem.Thank you LSBU

  • Junayed Ahmed

Very unfriendly behaviour from University authority and UK Home Office. I wanted to change my current course into a new one. I was struggling with my course. But they told me to go to my home country and apply again into a new course and pay the tuition fees/Ihs fee/embassy fee again. To tell frankly, UK universities, Govt. and Home Office are not student friendly. All they want is money. Totally business minded. Whatever you want to do they will ask for ocean of money. Such a nightmare for me as an International student. If anyone is interested to study in UK I would just recommend from my experience to ignore this country for few years. They are just strengthening their business using international students.

  • behram lehri

One of the worst universities and my biggest mistake of my life. I chose this uni for law i thought it is a good uni but NO! Right now i am doing UFP in lsbu they put so much pressure on the students and so the foundation year is so hard here in everything as foundation year is just to let you know what are we going to do in the profession years its just to make you ready but they have made the foundation year more challenging than the profession year. They just want us to be there everyday and submit assignments after a every week. They don’t care about the students they only want us to do the assignments and other work everyday so we can not even get time for ourselves. Please don’t waste your money and time.

  • Jack

Like most places, you will have people that go above and beyond their duty and portray the organisation as a student-centred university. Like most places, you will also have people that are lazy and take advantage of remote-learning. Had it not been for a select few lecturers, this would have been a 1* review without a second thought. Challenging times, yes. Turning up late to lectures and spending 1/3 of a 2 hour lecture in a mad scramble, followed by excuses? Unacceptable. This is not the case across all other university institutions having spoken with other students. This needs to be improved and streamlined, big time, or the university’s previously good reputation will diminish.

  • Missy Smart

I studied law with criminology. This is a warning do not do this course⛔️ Just study the degree separate. I found that the law department are good however mixing the two will make you fail your degree as I almost did. The criminology department is not good with what’s required the writing techniques required for criminology. The legal clinics and sports are good. The staff are friendly and help depending on who it is .I went through lost exam papers and they still asked me if I took the exam when they have a register, cctv , sign in. Good luck because I’ve definitely been through it. I studied through a building site. Hopefully you get a good experience.

I have been seeing Kat at this clinic for the last 8 months. I was extremely dubious, and a little nervous about treatment but she came highly recommended so I booked in for a consultation to discuss options. The consultation was so calming and reassuring, and we mapped out a treatment plan for the months to come. The treatments have been so good at undoing the years of damage and my relieve the suffering with what was constant back pain for the last 15+ years. I cannot recommend Kat highly enough for her level of professionalism, friendliness and comfort whilst giving treatment that has improved the quality of my life so much!! Thank you!!

  • Devito 1993

My experience at this uni was terrible. I was here last year and did a foundation course and I did not enjoy my time. The lecturers are so rude and incompetent, many of them can't speak English very well and don't help you. One time I summitted my assignment and on results day, I never got my results and scored 0 because apparently I never summitted my assignment when I have proof that I did and I wasn't the only one who suffered from this. The links don't update so it makes it hard for you to submit your assignments. Would never recommend this uni to anyone. The only good thing about the uni is the security. That's about it

  • Haarika Kanajam

I completed my Masters degree in Marketing at LSBU. Take my word for it..the lecturers are very much committed to making you job-ready. They respect your time and expect the same from you. You can always request one-to-one appointments if you think you're lagging behind and need help with it. Amazing place for international students. Our batch had issues with VLE Moodle and timetable but I'm sure they sorted it. Business school Admin prioritize the emails received, so it's totally your responsibility to follow-up. Mental health is given utmost importance here. My advice, Don't you miss the Residential weekend.

  • Wanessa Bronowicz-Maj

Average uni. Terrible communication with students. Be prepared to wait over a month for an email back from certain staff members totally not worth the money!! Student life centre has no clue what they’re doing. There always seems to be a power outage and I’m pretty sure the uni got hacked at some point last year what a joke. They did postpone our deadlines though so I can’t complain about that. The law and social science division is nice and some lecturers do genuinely care. But overall my uni experience has been mediocre and I was expecting much more for the price we have to pay.

  • E J

LSBU is completely disorganised, especially the former student services department. No one at the department replies to your emails, and there is no way of directly contacting them. I have sent so many emails to the department requesting they forward a transcript to a workplace I applied to a month ago. However, I still have not received a reply or even an acknowledgement email from them. Having emailed them more than 10 times, I feel very frustrated and worried about missing out on a work opportunity. Needless to say, I regret ever studying at London South Bank University!

  • Nisa TALHA

To be honest ,I am extremely disappointed by the university. Firstly the reception..so rude ,unwelcoming and unprofessional. They are so poorly informed that they can't provide you the right guidance or help you are looking for.after wasting months, and issuing uncditionsional cas letters ,when all the universities stop taking admissions ,they reject your application saying you could not qualify the interviews, I mean are they so naive not to know when to conduct eligibility interviews? After wasting all the candidates time? After receiving the fees? Please be sensible.

  • Kaiser Rahman

i was a student from here from 2005 to 2009. nice education place but some of the lecturer need to be more supportive. London South Bank University (LSBU) is located in the heart of London, in the up and coming area of Elephant and Castle. Founded in 1892, it is a public university with nearly 20,000 students. The University offers more than 400 undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and is made up of seven schools: applied sciences, arts and creative industries, built environment and architecture, business, health and social care, and law and social sciences.

  • Paula Chagas

Really upsetting !!!!! University delet your email after you graduate and does not give u notice or anything! Do NOT use this email as personal because everything will be deleted and they don’t offer you help or anything!!! I had interviews going on and I lost everything because of this. HORRIBLE experience!!!! They should have a bit more of responsibility with their former student and have at least sent a week before email informing that your email will be deleted completely and you won’t be able to log in never again…

London South Bank University is a public research university in London, United Kingdom. The history started with Prince Albert, consort of Queen Victoria, who developed his vision for a cultural centre that included the Royal Albert Hall, Victoria & Albert Museum, Natural History Museum, and Royal colleges.[8][9] In 1907, Imperial College was established by a Royal Charter, unifying the Royal College of Science, Royal School of Mines, and City and Guilds of London Institute.[

Please be careful while taking optional module for students those who are in Msc in international accounting and finance. To be fair optional module leaders are very terrible. Uni site got hacked. They will not reply, even if we sent hundreds of mail. They won't help us with anything. Ask help with Shashi, he is such nice tutor. It was nice uni at the beginning ( January 2020). When they started online class because of corona, it was very difficult.

  • Rita Oliveira

I'm a course director at LSBU in the Sport Science and Coaching courses. Students pay a great deal of money to attend our courses and the university is completely committed to providing all the necessary support for students to meet the high standards of our degrees. If you are willing to work hard, then you can really "Become what you want to be"! If you have questions about your degree talk with the course director, they are there to help.

  • You Tube

one of the worst university. Rude staff. The admin department or experts don't have any knowledge about the courses. I contacted admin to get information about a course and they told me to contact the senior lecturer and the lecturer replied me rudely 'that we don't offer this course so please join other university'. Instead of offering me other option or telling me what benefits i can get from the course he just replied me rudely.

  • Naila

I'm honestly appalled by the amount of smokers at this school. Outside the building a ton of students (and teachers) are smoking. And you know what's so funny? The uni has a ton of 'no smoking' signs outside. And what's even funnier? A member of staff was smoking right next to one! Many of the students in my class smell terrible. So the issue is that the school is not reinforcing its own rules and I feel like I'm in the streets.

  • Christian Harris

Zero stars if possible. I did an MBA here. The quality of staff is shocking; a disgrace to academia. I wish I could get a refund so I could a degree from a reputable university. My recommendation is to look for an MBA which is internationally recognised and whose staff implement what is in the curriculum. As a note, my multiple complaints and escalations got me nowhere after months of pursuing my issues; they just don’t care.

  • k

terrible university rude staff and disrespectful receptionists they were rude incompetent and were on their phones the whole time whilst trying to talk to them about withdrawing from the uni. They lied and told me I had to wait a month for a withdrawal appointment then I found out I could get it done next day. UCAS were involved and even reported the situation which they found was "inhumane" Do not go to this university.

  • MANISH KUMAR

I was studying in this university they are totally unprofessional, Many time i email to lecturers for feedback but they reply before one day of submission, this happens with me lot of time, they failed me and when i ask for extension for completing my course they didn’t reply. In there university profile they help international students as they also have student life centre which don’t help. Don’t waste ur money.

  • Philipp D

As an international student from Germany, I have to tell you that you better save your money. The university is definitely not worth it! I have been trying for several months (!!!) to get a receipt for the payment of my tuition fees, as I urgently (!!!) need it for my tax return. At least I can get back some of the money I wasted here. Unfortunately, I am consistently ignored and only put off. Absolute madness.

  • Penny Tulla

Firstly, the teaching staff are incredible, they do a great job in spite of the institution. However the rest of the uni is useless. They didn't even bother to tell me when my graduation ceremony was, and I will miss it because I can't get an answer out of them. My course was free. If you're paying fees, take them somewhere where they do want your money. This university won't thank you for it.

  • Jennifer Alimin

The lecturers were willing and committed to assisting the students to learn. The university has a strong equal opportunity policy and they assisted everyone. I love London South Bank University. Jennifer Alimin. The Law department is great. The classrooms and toilets were always clean. Great learning environment. Highly recommended and I am very proud to have got a degree at this uni.

  • Chris Gledhill

Visited for a cryptocurrency event this week. Nice staff and students, all very keen and interested to learn and collaborate. I visited the business school block which appeared to be modern. LSBU is a good uni in London and does a range of full time and vocational courses. It’s located in Southwark which is perhaps not the nicest part of London but does have its own atmosphere.

  • Zia Rehman

I wouldn't give this Uni a single star. No communication with students. All the phone lines are switched off and you are left at their mercy when you send them an email. They just rip you off. All international students AVOID this Uni. You will get much more for the money that you are going to spend elsewhere. Also, don't be fooled by the good reveiws(paid reviews) here.

  • ESRA ALIOGLU

I have been a student at London South Bank University since 2020 and I had amazing opportunities while studying. As a student ambassador, I work and lead lots of projects regarding information technology which is a valuable experience as well as an extraordinary benefit to my CV. I am lucky to be a part of the LSBU family.

  • Hussain Mahmud Tamim

It is ok I guess but I have been trying to contact the university for 10 months to help me with my application change just one small part but they keep sending me back and forth from teams and admissions to UCAS to the main Uni. I have loads of emails and call log proof and I am getting fed up now

  • Amr Helweh

I studied here for the past few years. Its a good uni with so many different facilities to use. But its a city uni not a campus. On the other hand the location is really good, you leave the station and you are in uni which is very convenient you dont have to walk very far at all and easy to find.

  • Gary Dunn

Trying to change course, the LSBU changing cPurses team do not respond to emails for a whole week! Not answering calls. The lady on the admissions switchboard is useless foreign lady cannot even speak good English at all, poor communication skille. I’m starting to think why did I even enrol here

I applied in this University in last January intake for business management course and also paid the deposit but they rejected my application after taking the deposit which was 2200 pounds Now I'm asking them to return my deposit but they don't replying my email not even receiving my calls

Studied BEng Civil Engineering here part time whilst working as a engineering technician and found the course/uni excellent. Now I am a graduate engineer working towards being chartered whilst studying a part time MSc in Structural Engineering, also at LSBU. You get out what you put in!

  • Catherine O

London South Bank University has great amenities, lecturers and courses. Student feel safe, inclusive and happy to learn. The support and understanding I get from my tutors is fabulous. LSBU gave me the opportunity to follow my own pathway!!! Really pleased to be a student here!!!

  • Nauman Zia

Recommended... Very good facilities for students including library books and PCs, personal tutor for discussion, sessions & one to one appointments for extra support. However, internship students should not rely only on the Employability Team. Do your own research as well.

  • Rao Masroor Ahmed

I have paid the Fees and accepted the offer and all in time but they have not issue CAS as they don't have capacity to issue more CAS , why the offer place and accepted Fees.I did not accept the offer of other UNI and now I don't have any admission in in sep intake in any uni,

Best university..very helpful staff, labs well maintained, very good infrastructure. In love with this University. Lecturers are amazing. Administrative department and admissions department are also very friendly and responsive. Accommodation centre is also very nice.

  • Drake King

Comedy university, people sit their exams in a classroom all sitting next to each other. Cheating going on the invigilators aren't even bothered. Getting a degree from here has zero weight. I have spoken to a dozen people who have attended

  • Bina Makwana

You will get what you put into learning. You will not be spoon fed at LSBU, you will have to work hard and stand out. The reason for the ranking is not because of the quality of the content, it's because they are a second chance. Work hard

  • RUZIEV ELDOR

I have just spoken with one of the general inquiries staff. She did not care about my issues, even though it was her job. I would suggest to record all phone conversations and work on the costumer support. Awful attitude and communication.

  • OOZUKIMARU

teachers really helpful for students, really gd location, easy to navigate round the building and joins modern and old together. very friendly lecturers. facilities top notch. one bad thing is u feel slightly enclosed in the buildings

  • Tyler June

Great school, I’m in the school of Applied Science and so far all my professors have been amazing. Open to new feedback on how to improve (lectures and seminars etc) each lecture has uploaded slides and a video, the Lsbu library on

  • Greta Kriksciunaite

The most disgusting university ever!! No support from educational team whatsoever.. Madatory meditation instead of clinical practice that we were suppose to have because lecturer didn’t show up to the lecture.. avoid at all costs!!!

  • Klaudia Sopata

Way under my expectations. I came here for an open day and went for a presenation about the uni as a start. It was really bad. The presenation wasn't fully developed, wasn't informative and very unprofessional. The speaker at this

  • Two Day

Wellbeing team hide behind an answer phone system of voicemails, which they must delete in bulk as they never call back. Student support is ok when you find the correct person, but minimum only, not proactive, only just reactive.

  • Vanetta Ackah

Very poor enrollment process. Be prepared to line up as a immigration interrogation. Enrollment staff are not well informed about courses and without guidance. Customer service is not welcoming and can be received as rude.

  • Erica Solange

Literally the worst uni. They do not care about the students and just want you for your money. Got someone to repeat a whole year again because of a mistake the uni made. Grab your money and find somewhere else …

  • Lakshmi Gayatri

It's a quite place though situated in the centre of the city. Very near to elephant and castle Train station and tube. The staff here are very helpful and informative. Excited to spend next 15 months here as a student.

  • Fadi PCM

The worthless university ever, my son became depressed and left the university because of their negligence to provide a proper tuition or a student support, all departments are absolutely useless and mismanaged.

  • Maddy Laxton

The location of the uni is amazing!! You can see the shard from the accommodation which is so cool! The area seems really nice too, with the metropolitan market around the corner. Just good vibes really. ✨✨✨

  • Nahid Islam

It's a great place for students to come for studying. LSBU is located in Central London so it's easily accessible. There's lot of Bus routes near the University so that students can come from any direction.

  • B Chrissy

A university for sexists and racists. The professors, deans etc will look down on you if you are a woman. There are far better universities out there and you don't have to put up with sexism and racism.

  • Elif Cansu Çetin

I'm an international student here. When I graduate, I will write a comprehensive review of this university. Now, I'm just sharing some photos of the university and its surroundings.

  • Nishan Babu Karki

Very poor service. No response in sensitive matters as well, If they have low number of staffs, they should close the university in spite of making students future in Danger.

  • David Clayton

Awful uni, absolutely no support from educational staff (lecturers and tutors for the nursing course) and witholding giving degrees for petty reasons. Terrible university!

  • Maheshkumar Muraleedharan

One of the best university in London , best tutors ,all amities ,best practical lab facilities ,library room and gym so that is why I am suggesting the one of the best uni

  • ESRA ALIOGLU

The best Computing course in London while studying, the university's employability service provides plenty of opportunities to get ready for a future career. Amazing!!!

  • Mike A

Amazing campus, staff is very helpful. As an American using his GI Bill, this university made my transition to the civilian sector much more enjoyable. Stellar! Thanks

  • Tosyn Senaike

Nice environment, and populated (what are you expecting lot of students) from different ethnical and ethical background. Learning together in the same four walls

  • AC

I have completed a Graduation Cert last year and I am still waiting for my Certificate. The communication is a serious issue as no one reply to your emails.

  • Hamza Salmaz

Worst university,!! The management only want money and they dam care about student’s. Their international year one’s Teachers are frekin Rude and rasist .

  • Jakub Piotr Andrzejewski

I attended English classes there. Most of the teachers were nice. The facilities were okay. GB was a member of UE and the course was financed by EU funds

  • zoe faith

  • Rabin

Very big and nice university with every kind of support and facilities one needs to get a quality education. Loving my time here.

  • P.L.G

3/5 Uni, wouldn't recommend Computer Science if you are a serious student. £3.50 meal is the best thing about this uni.

  • Julin Ricketts-Johnson

Great place to study, good location, accessible transport, helpful students grand teachers. Interesting overall.

  • Abdul J.K

We don’t like nightmares. If you do, you are at the right place. Good luck with your future.
