While I was trying to make the payment, I was facing some issues, but Sandy patiently dealt and waited till the issue was resolved. She even continued to stay in touch with me during and after the trip to make sure the trip was smooth. Love Africa Travel We had the good fortune of having Love Africa Travel (Sandy Russell) book our vacation of a lifetime to South Africa. Sandy had answered some questions that I had posted on Trip Advisor and with the honest answers she gave, I decided to ask Sandy to book our trip on our behalf. Sandy was amazing. After giving her some details of the trip we were looking for, she came through with awesome suggestions. We had a complex booking which included a self-drive trip to the following: • 5 day primitive hiking trail with KZN Wildlife in Hluhluwe, Kwazulu Natal, which included at night a Mpila Camp • 2 nights at Kosi Bay Forest Lodge, Isimangaliso Wetland Park • 1 night at Mantenga Lodge in Swaziland • 4 nights at Honeyguide Tented Safaris, located in Manyeleti Game Reserve • 1 night at Byde River Canyon Wilderness lodge. Sandy organized all of the stays and made sure the bookings were secure. There were many emails back and forth designing the perfect trip and Sandy always replied promptly and was very patient with me especially when the original trip for two became a trip for four. Sandy checked in with us on route a few times to make sure all was well. There were times that we had become lost on our journey through these parts unknown and it was a relieve that Sandy was only a phone call or text away to set us back on the right track. I want to express that when we thought of South Africa, many friends had warned against me driving or even going at all. Sandy reassured us that driving was safe as long as you were vigilant (as in any country) and that South Africa was the most beautiful place to visit. She was absolutely correct. At first I had reservations about using an online based travel agent, but now that we have had such success, my fears have been eliminated. We used Sandy at Love Africa Travel for our first trip to Africa. We live in the PNW portion of the US. Our trip was 26 days and included Botswana, South Africa and Mozambique. We had originally booked this trip for August of 2020 but, of course due to COVID, we had to put off the trip. Sandy rescheduled the trip for August 2021. I sent her many emails during the next year and a half and Sandy always promptly replied. It was comforting to me that she lived in Cape Town and had real insight into what was going on in South Africa. Trying to decide whether to go in August 2021 was an agonizing decision for us. We hemmed and hawed and asked Sandy many many questions while trying to decide. Flights were canceled and had to be rebooked. At the last minute we decided to not go to Johannesburg and she found us other options to choose from and rebooked the changes. She gave us lots of time to decide and answered our questions honestly and did not push us to go. We did finally decide to go and had the time of our lives!! We visited three countries, 6 safari camps and one beach resort. We felt safer as to COVID protocols than if we were in the US. We needed 4 COVID tests during our trip and all went off without a hitch. Same with the many transfers between locations. I literally only had to contact her once about a small issue and it was promptly taken care of. I am still in shock that the 26 day trip during COVID went so smoothly. PS - My husband is a photographer and he took so many great photos of birds and animals, it was unbelievable. But I don't post any of his photos. These are mine from my plain old cell phone. Mine were focused on landscapes, the lodging and people.

You've heard the saying "If It sounds too good to be true..." Well, let me tell you the safari that Sandy managed to get me on, for the price I paid was well and truly amazing. I couldn't believe my luck when I turned up to the amazing Honeyguide Tented Safari camp. It was everything I could have imagined and more and it was all thanks to Sandy. I got in touch with Sandy when I was travelling around SA with my boyfriend in Jan. I wanted to go on a safari in Kruger (The following week!) and was doing it on my own as my boyfriend had to fly back to the UK early. As you know looking for a safari can be mind boggling and I was getting really stressed out about finding a great place without a hefty price tag (especially given such short notice). I was also nervous about doing a safari on my own but Sandy was really understanding and helped me find the perfect safari and lodge for me all in the space of about 3 days!!!! Sandy was extremely helpful, friendly, patient and really listened to what I wanted out of a safari. She was extremely fast is replying back to emails and managed to get me an amazing price on the lodge. Sandy even checked in on me to see I'd arrived OK and then a few days later to see how I was getting on and if I was enjoying it. I can't recommend Sandy enough, he knowledge and contacts are second to none and you'd be crazy to not use her for any safari or Africa needs. Sandy was invaluable in helping me plan the trip of my lifetime. I had contacted a few travel agents before her and they didn't respect my budget and were giving me quotes that were unreasonable. Sandy was able to help me with all the logistics of planning my 8 night safari and she got me great rates. I know because I contacted the lodges separately to compare. She arranged for my transportation between lodges and everything went smoothly. Whenever I had any questions she was there to help. I planned a three week trip to South Africa and while I booked my own flights and some accommodations, she helped with whatever I asked her to, often getting great package rates. Three weeks before my trip, one of the safari lodges had a fire and it appeared as if we would be stuck with no place to stay for three nights. I had planned my entire trip to end at this one lodge because they had a tree house. Everything was booked solid but Sandy worked magic and got us in another lodge nearby and booked into another tree house. During the trip, we needed to cancel an excursion and Sandy handled that and we were refunded immediately. Lastly, when one lodge tried to charge us additional fees a quick phone call to Sandy resolved it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sandy for any of your travel needs. I fell in love with Southern Africa and hope to return one day. Should I get the chance to do it again, I will definitely contact Sandy again and use her services.

Sandy is just an amazing person. We had a great South African holiday, thanks to her who went the extra mile in planning our trip and made sure we had everything we wanted. Right from choosing the right lodge for us at Kruger (since we were travelling with a 6 yr old and had to make sure to choose a private lodge which was fun and child friendly ) to planning our itinerary for our road trip along the Garden Route, she guided us with her tips, to dos, and made sure we got what we wanted according to our budget and needs. Our pre plans had to be changed at the last minute and I was busy looking at references online getting confused with the vast amount of information there, but Sandy came to our rescue and made sure we didn't miss out on anything for the remainder of our trip and planned for us. We had an amazing safari, a great shark cage diving experience and enjoyed the splendid African landscape, being on the road and not having to worry about anything since Sandy made sure all the reservations, bookings etc were taken care of and we could just enjoy our holiday. We HIGHLY recommend Sandy from Love Africa Travel without any hesitation. She was VERY responsive, listened to all of our wishes and crafted a PERFECT trip to 4 countries in Southern Africa. We compared several other companies and her charges were the most reasonable of all of them. It is not a huge, glossy agency—and that is why the rates are so fair—you don’t pay big mark up for fluff and stuff! She made great suggestions for lodges and the itinerary. Everything went very smoothly…but we know she would have jumped through hoops for us should we have hit any snags. When researching South Africa for a kid-friendly safari and itinerary, there are literally thousands of options so to sift through the choices, I happened upon love africa travel and seriously believe our holiday was perfect mainly because of Sandy’s knowledge and input. My wife and I used Sandy and Love Africa Travel to help us arrange our trip to Cape Town and Kruger in June 2017. Our trip was a great success and working with Sandy was one of the reasons. Owner and travel agent, Sandy, helped us with reservations for a lodge in Kruger National Park, and transfer from Cape Town to Kruger. She was extraordinary! Her advice and efficiency are unmatched. When we arrived in Cape Town, she got us some tickets to sites that others were unable to obtain. She even checked us in for our flight to Hoedspruit and sent us the boarding passes. All in all, I can’t recommend her more, and would definitely book with her again if the opportunity arises.
