i was on my way back from skating around Southtown, went up presa street and seen this little pink lit up building right off of Martinez. There were to people sitting on the front porch. If you didn’t know the place was a bar it’s quick to mistake it for a house. I walked in and was greeted by a funny li’l illustration i aint never seen in my life but you walk to the right they have a beautiful dark wood, old Victorian/country feel with cute little chairs set up in close but intimate places. Great place to take a date, and have great drinks, but your own snuggle little table top. I had a mezcal based drink and the bartender made it quick and made it great and the price was phenomenal. Open til 2 am every day except Sunday, they close at 12A and Monday they are closed. I surely would like to frequent this place as the perfect layover bar between the tourist-y downtown area, and the hipster south town area. It is a perfect balance between country and simplicity and hip
Hipster place. So overpriced drinks, and your beer options are craft or really crappy. No regular domestics; e.g., Budweiser, Coors, or Miller Lite. They do not even have PBR, I thought hipsters liked that. The service was lackluster. Unless you are a hipster, and especially if you a non-hipster minority, do not expect a welcoming crowd. The bartender came out side to clear tables, and despite on numerous occassion intruding upon my personal space she never said excuse me or acknowledged my presence. Icing on the cake is she stepped on my foot while I was siting stationary and looked at me as if I ought to apologize to her. The up side, is the view at night time is pretty. Not pretty enough though to keep me there beyond a drink.....
My wife and I went here to have a cocktail this past Saturday evening. After ordering drinks from a female bar tender (did not get her name) I went back to the bar a few minutes later to ask for a couple of water, I kid you not, I waited patiently for about five minutes while she just BS with her friend, not giving me the time of day. Finally, I asked if I could please get two waters and she said in a condescending tone without ever even looking my way that there is a water dispenser in the corner. We were told by a few of the other customer that she is always like that...WOW! I could not believe it! Hopefully the owner of this establishment reads this because she was totally unprofessional.
We came on March 31st, Sunday, around 9pm and we had terrible service. The bartender had no personality and was EXTREMELY rude. It took a lot in me to not say something to him when he gave an UGLY attitude to my mother. We ordered the House Daiquiri and Breakfast cocktail. The drinks we ordered were so poorly made that we didn't want to drink more, but when you pay 10 bucks for a drink you're not going to waste it. That bartender made us very upset to the point where we chugged our drinks and left immediately. He shouldn't be working if he's just going to be an a**hole to everyone. What a shame. Waste of our 10 minutes.
While I can say that the owners are probably unaware of it, the agents who run the bar are incredibly rude and pushy. For such a small and unassuming place, the audacity of the bar tenders might make you think you are at an ultra posh/hipster dive. I watched them literally haze and harass customers by making fun of the patrons for their slurred speech after serving them alcohol. What’s the opposite of cool? Whatever goals these individuals set out to accomplish in life, it seems they fell short and would like the rest of the world to be just as miserable. Come for the hipsters, stay for the bitters.
Went to Low Country to hear my buddy spin some blues. The cocktail list is pretty cool. My wife got a bourbon negroni, and it was excellent. The space out back is pretty cool, and laid back. They have combos (I can’t remember the name) but it’s a shot of old grandad and little Miller high life (or guerra as they’re known as here) for $5. **UPDATE** we went again and it’s remodeled and just as cool. The bar situation was wild but it was fiesta so chill the f out. But it was still a blast. 10/10.

This was somebody's house at some point. But they gutted it out and turned it into a cool little place to get drinks and hang out. They were plenty of places to sit and have a nice conversation, whether it was on the front porch, the back porch, or one of the rooms inside. Drinks were good and the service was friendly enough. They're also seem to be like music just before we showed up but they were cleaning up by the time we got there . Would definitely go here for the awesome atmosphere next time I'm in San Antonio again.
Comfy little bar between southtown and downtown, the parking isn't too bad and the drinks are great. The dark walls, candles & neon signs are perfect for having a Metal/post-punk DJ night, people seem to think that it's a country bar because of the name but "low country" refers to a region in South Carolina, not country music. The backyard is nice and spacious. Perfect place to meet up with friends if you aren't trying to go to a big club or parts of the city like central downtown or the strip.
Made a pitstop here prior to my dinner reservation- fantastic inventive cocktail spot that approached drinks like a chef thinks of food: how can we best combine seasonal ingredients in new and exciting ways to dazzle palates? Interior vibe was on point- great homey, vintage, quirky, cozy nook feels. The art on the walls was interesting and additive to the experience. Reasonably priced, friendly service and perfect spot for a drink any time of day. 12/10 would return.
A cool find just south of downtown San Antonio, the place is a speakeasy vibe bar and hangout with a size-able outdoor backyard with plenty of tables and space! Live music happens regularly and they make some great original cocktails as well as strong classics!

So far one of the worst customer experiences I’ve had. Walked in and the bartender (pictured) looked at us as if we were the worst thing in the world. Thought about leaving right and then but still stayed for a drink, gotta say it was one of the worst margaritas I’ve had in San Antonio. So they have that going on for them. Nice place, awful drinks and customer service.

This is one of our favorite bars in San Antonio! It's so homey, the cocktails and beer selection are great, and we've only ever had great service. Dog friendly, which always brings a smile to your face. :) They don't serve food, so Google needs to recategorize them, but I gave them 5 stars for food so they wouldn't get dinged.

What a hidden gem. We had dinner at Dough and were looking for a cute, chill place. Reminded us of a bar we would go to in downtown Phoenix. It's a house, but plenty of sitting areas on the porch, inside, and on the back patio. Drinks were cocktails - old fashion, margaritas, etc. The real deal. We will be back!
It's a mixology bar. So you're going to wait 5 minutes for them to make your drink. And if there's a good amount of people there, prepare to wait 20 minutes for your drink. On the plus side, the drinks are strong. There's no A/C, or at least it felt like there was no A/C. The patio is nice, however.
Lowcountry has a laid back vibe in a historic house that's tucked away from the bustle of Southtown. The cocktails are handcrafted and tasty and you can enjoy them at one of the few tables inside or on the patio that has a view of the Tower of the Americas (but isn't touristy).
It's more like a hallway with a bar. How on earth this business model can survive is beyond me. Especially with superb compition on all sides. If your going here to lounge it may surprise you. 10 patrons and it feels like the place is 5 over its occupancy limit.
Excellent cocktails, alt-hipster vibes, authentic/down-to-earth bartenders and patrons. Has to be top 3 best bars in San Antonio if you are creative and chill. There’s a fantastic happy hour Tuesday-Friday and bands or DJ’s playing on the back patio frequently.
Amazing place! Halfway between a college dive bar and a hidden gem for grown-up first dates. Met the owner, loved the conversation - she's every bit as much a fan of historic buildings as I was. Highly recommended for a drink and an opportunity to explore.
A cozy spot for libations and conversations with friends old and new. I love the relaxing country tunes, comforting low-lit atmosphere, and attentive staff. Great prices too.

Casual bar inside a house. Feels very much like you’re walking through a kitchen to get into the backyard area. It’s relaxed, not super crowded when I’ve personally gone. The bartenders are polite and welcoming. Good for an old sip n’ chat.
Very relaxed vibe. Feels like you know the bar tenders! Drinks are awesome too. If your favorite drink isn't on the menue any more, they can usually still make it for you, but you should be adventurous and try something else. Cheers!
Great little bar inside an old house in Southtown. I enjoyed their house cocktail "Dumb brown hat" while I was wearing a brown beanie. Perfect. Live music on Sundays and chill outside area. I did not try any of the food, However.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stop here while bar hopping around hemisfair/southtown. Chill vibe, nice drink selection, unique atmosphere for S.A. Seemed to be dog friendly as we saw three. Outdoor front porch and rear patio area.
Music inside was a little loud so it made talking a little difficult. Have a decent amount of liquor available and decent beer prices. Wife loved they have champagne available. Good little place to grab a drink, or two.
What a great hidden gem in downtown San Antonio. I just happened to stumble upon this hip bar while going to dinner. My old fashion was delish and was reasonably priced. I can’t wait to come back for happy hour.
Place is cute, but I was there during the Molchat Doma afterparty. Paid for 2 drinks that was $12 and tipped out. They charged me $28! I in fact didn’t tip $16 so they alter tips after you’ve signed the check.
This bar was an awesome experience. It's in a old house with real cool atmosphere. In the back yard was a very cool band playing classic folk and country songs. This is a great place off the beaten path.
Homey feel. Literally in an old house. Laid back vibe and bluegrassy music. Hang out in the parlor, out back, or on the front porch.

If you want a low key, casual place to hang very near the tourist areas of downtown, this is it. It's a beautiful old house converted to a bar with a sizable back yard patio. Awesome cocktails await!
Low Country is the vide if you want a San Antonio view and a quiet place to enjoy a conversation. The drinks are great and the service is above and beyond. Check it out on your next trip downtown.
One of the bars I go to now that Stay Golden has closed. This kinda feels likes a speakeasy given it's dimly lit and in a re-purposed house. Handful of cocktails plus a few canned beers and bites.
What cool place. Parked in the front and had never noticed this bar. Great name-Low Country with a great slogan Boiled peanuts, Beer and Music. Cool ambiance, and great selection of beers.
Wonderful place for solo drinkers. Lots of different seating areas to choose from. Decor was interesting to look at and went well with the surroundings. Bar tenders were kind and patient.
First time, wasn't impressed. Great drinks....Poor bartender persona.... Advertising boiled peanuts, but only had 8 individuals available.... ?........ Return possibility? About .05%>
Wonderful house bar with an instantly relaxing and inviting vibe to it. Great booze and great conversation are always available. Hope this place is around for a long time.
Quaint little house turned into trendy, comforting bar complete with backyard patio, beer, liquor, and cocktail selection at a fair price, definitely worth stopping in
I visited a while ago, but somehow my thoughts go back to this bar. I loved the cocktails, the snacks & the atmosphere. One of my best memories from San Antonio.
Truly the ideal bar. Perfect size, good prices, comfortable atmosphere, enjoyable music, and beautiful weather (mileage may vary on that). What's not to like?
Excellent place with a cool vibe. It's not trying to be anything other than its natural self. Cool bartender and unique drinks. We will definitely be back.
Enjoyable spot, tasty drinks and a friendly bar staff; what more could ya want!? Head on down and have yourself a Shot & a Wash; it's a tasty 'lil combo!
Very cool place. Nice interior. Enjoyed the art. Didn't have the boiled peanuts! Bar master seemed to be a bit irritated but overall a nice experience.
nice, chill place, almost feels like I'm home. cocktails are on point. relaxing ambiance and great decorations. love the porch/stoop hangout area
Small unusual bar. Wasn’t what I thought when I saw low country bar. No country here. It was cozy and their drink list was different and strong.
I am nuetral on this place. I think as long as you go with someone who enjoys a more personal non-rowdy place you'll enjoy urself
Lowcountry is an awesome place to see great live music. Nice full bar in an old house with great ambiance. One of my favorites!
One of the best hidden gems in San Antonio! Awesome cocktail menu and tasty bar snacks! Plus a delicious pop up on Mondays.
Great old home in Southtown coverted into bar, beer and a shot special always a good deal along with good craft drinks.
My favorite bar. Hidden but perfect little location. Hidden in plain sight. But awesome drinks. They are the best.
GREAT music on the stereo! Forget what that other guy said. Great atmosphere overall! Just what I was looking for.
It's not even close to a speakeasy ! Don't get hooked on it's advertising.

Odd looking from outside, nice little spot to chill indoors or out. Super nice bartenders the other night! Thanks
I recommended to my friends to try this place based on reviews and now they won't let me pick our place any more.
Pretty chill. good music for alt/rock and classics. Has a gorgeous aesthetic. Outside but inside …
One of the only house bars in San Antonio. Super cool ambience and quaint and divey. Chill to meet and talk
Cool little hole in the wall bar. Not a whole lot of room but it was neat. Met a nice cat on the back deck.
tremendous downtown bar. very cozy. great selection of cocktails and beers that are unique and satisfying.

Cozy and chill local bar just outside downtown Outdoor seating and a good cocktail menu
Cool little spot. It’s an old house converted so the atmosphere is chill. Cheap drinks.
Small bar, but don't let that stop you from coming out. Great atmosphere! Good music!
