Absolutely appalled by the service I received on 13/12/21. I had picked up the wrong item and hadn't realised until I paid for it. Asked a assistant called Jaqueline if I could swap and be refunded the difference of 30p. She huffed and said "you have to go to the customer service desk" which I then did. I was then greeted by another assistant who informed me she had to get someone else to do it, which was then Jaqueline (not sure why she didn't do it for me in the first place). She then stormed over clearly irritated with me and said "for gods sake" under her breath. I then asked her if I was causing her inconvenience and she then said "i'm doing it for you aren't I?". She then proceeded to give me incorrect change of 15p refund in 5p coins I then corrected her on this, she then threw down 6 x 5p coins on the counter. In all my time using this shop I have never experienced such shocking customer service. I was absolutely gobsmacked with her aggressive tone. I spend a lot of money in M&S, but regardless of this, no one should endure such behaviour for a simple return request. This lady clearly needs to be provided training in her customer service skills. A complete let down to the rest of the team in the shop, and a totally awful representation of the brand. I used to work for M&S for several years and never witnessed any colleague behaving like this.

Food quality is excellent - as you would expect from M & S. Staff are very friendly and always strike up a conversation. The bakery at the back sells delicious breads. There is a good wine selection although the wine shop across the road has better quality and prices. There are often some good multi buy deals that you can freeze at home such as their deli meats. The only downside is that there is often a queue even when the shop is quiet during the weekday. It would be much better to install a few self service tills as there are often a lot not open and they have the space (eg there at usually only 1 or 2 staff members in the express till area).

Went in to store last week and was looking for help and advice for some things for my daughter. And staff member Paige was an absolute delight. Welcoming, professional and went above and beyond to advise and help. In this day and age its hard to find anyone who actually represents with pride. She is an absolute credit to Marks and Spencers. Refreshingly surprised and would now make this my daily M and S

This is a food only store but is a collection point for M&S website purchases. The food selection is reasonable but it is a small supermarket so there are times when they just don't have what you want. Also the majority of brands are M&S so if you are looking to do a brand shop this is not the place for you, additionally it is quite expensive so also not suited to a budget shop either.

Is my favourite shop but I don't get it why they always change the places of the items, so confusing, you know one place where to find something you need then u need to go through the whole shop and find it again Is annoying. Also happened that at the checkout to wait for ages bc the person has a long conversation with the first costumer.

Good quality food and some really nice ready meals. The store could do with some self service tills as it does get quite busy at times. Staff are always very helpful and store is well stocked. They have a car park to the rear, pay and display and you get the ticket refunded at the till. Options to order online and collect in store.

I want to say a very big thank you to the Staff who went out of there way to deliver a cake that I had ordered for Easter but was absent from my shopping when I got home! I thought I would have to come back up to Upminster but it was delivered to my door with some flowers as well . Fantastic customer Service .

Great location just a few seconds from the station, always a good choice and love the quality. Dont be fooled into think its highly priced, there are lots of good buys to be had in store and lots of good quality goodies especially their selection of cakes.

Terrible experience this morning with this M&S on my first visit ever. Not going back for sure. The parking machine wouldn’t take the card payment, so I went inside to get some change, but the staff were very unhelpful so I left without buying anything.

Today my daughter lost her purse, Janet who was working on the SCOTs was so helpful, and ensured we were directed to where we needed to be to find the missing item. She was very kind and wanted to make sure she was recognised for her helpfulness.

New tills in the store. More trouble than they are worth. Even the staff couldn't cope with them. If they are going to go down this route make all of them cash and cards. Not either or. Spent more time queueing for a cash till. Not the best

The opening times are quite good, however the staff are so unfriendly and rather weird. They constantly just gawp at you if you make polite eye contact. Nothing compared to the fantastic Customer Service at the nearby Waitrose store.

awful - went to collect something and 2 members of staff had a converation, ingnored me then walked off. Not the first time - once stood like an idiot on self service whilst staff nearby ignored me. Not going back again dreadful

As usual on a Sunday had to wait ages for customer service desk staff. I wanted to return something bought on line but employee apologised that system was down and "has been for a week"! That speaks volumes......

Nice assorted fresh and ready meals food good offers when a meal deal is on and chicken and fish meals are good. Desserts are brilliant and wine and fresh bakery have a nice range . Car park at rear of store .

Best taramasalata ever lol! Could improve a lot on the organic range of products and also try to constantly restock the shelves with new and healthy products to benefit our lovely community.

Awful. Over priced - Diet Coke in smaller cans (250ml instead of 330ml) priced at 70p when most other shops sell 330ml cans at 70p or less. Horrible unwelcoming decor. Won't be going back.

Great Marks and Spencer only sells food and drink etc, no clothes. Sells all the usual good foodie stuff from Marks and the staff are friendly and helpful too. Great shop.

I like this store has the M&S favourite items. Doug who served me at till was so lovely and friendly. He genuinely asked about my day and wished me a present evening.

Restricted available goods. Good quality. Not welcoming staff. Rushing around. Only two tills open. Not a really pleasant experience unfortunately.

Friendly staff. I wish they would convert some cash tills to self serve though as half of them never staffed and leads to long queue times.

Best place for buying gluten free bread. The taste of the M&S gluten free range is, in my opinion, the best I have tasted.

Expensive. Same available elsewhere but a lot cheaper. Only 1 dairyfree spread option..which was cheap enough.
