I went to the store on two separate occasions and on both occasions I had a wonderful experience. The person who made my experience wonderful was the clerk was working on both occasions. She was a beautiful dark skin thin young lady… I’m really sorry I forgot your name! I am from Ottawa and when I travel I always buy gifts there to bring to my friends are abroad. The first time I bought smoked salmon in a wooden box with Inuit art on it. The second time I bought two bottles of large maple syrup with some maple butter. The young lady who’s served me was so pleasant and patient with me. She even googled for me if it was allowed to bring smoked salmon on a plane. She made pleasant conversation with me and when I bought the maple syrup she went through the effort of wrapping them carefully so they don’t break when I put them in my luggage. The store is beautiful. They have amazing beautiful souvenirs and artwork. There is another store downstairs not affiliated to them but just not as good. I did compare the prices and although this store is much more high end,the prices are much better. Not to mention they have way better things. More creative and beautiful things. I was looking everywhere in Ottawa for the smoked salmon with the Inuit art on the box. I was very stunned when I found it at the store but pleasantly surprised. To the young lady working at the counter again I am sorry I forgot your name but you are amazing. From now on I know where to go to buy my souvenirs from Ottawa.

Hi, I am a regular customer at the Bayshore Mall, Ottawa. I visited The "Made In Canada Gifts" store at the mall, explored it, and found some of the nicest Canadian-made gifts: a Canada white, grey and red Toque as well as a Canada Flag long winter scarf. The two items are awesome Canadian-made knitwear. I will wear them with pride. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Placed an online order for a bunch of company gifts, the person with whom I spoke to when I needed to double check something (sorry, I missed your name), was extremely pleasant and helpful.. I arranged pick-up at the Rideau store. Beautiful place with really nice products. Friendly staff as well. My only qualm is that the hours posted on-line didn't match the store. My Google search stated 9:00 (but the store actually opened at 10am). You should update that :)

Just found this great online store, everything Made In Canada, that's exactly what we were looking for. The best online shopping experience we have ever had. I had a full hour long shopping experience at this store. The guy who worked there was really nice and gave me space to walk around the store and answered my questions any time I had one. I was impressed with the great variety of handmade gifts they had from all over Canada. I ended up buying many great gifts that I regretted giving away at the end! LOL

This great store located in Rideau Center is a true gem for Ottawa visitors or for anyone looking for well made, one of a kind pieces. Jewelry, art and craft items, sculptures and fun cheerful pieces (check out the socks with different Canadian prime ministers) at reasonable prices. Staff is attentive without being intrusive.

I've shopped at the Cuckoo's Nest several times. Great little store with a very unique selection of high quality gifts. I've purchased everything from specialty foods to unique socks to stylish photo frames. It's a goto spot for me when shopping for my wife's birthday or our anniversary!

A tourist stop & shop. Deals in gifts and Canadiana. If you're in the market for a moose Mountie, this is your shop. They sell good Canadian maple syrup here, although a little pricey -it a tourist shop, what do ya expect.
