Found this place on Yelp. It was our first massage since the start of the pandemic, so why not do this on our New Years trip to San Diego. We called and scheduled our appointment and received a Yelp confirmation. The place is in a shopping center. But once you're inside you can't hear the outside elements. When we pulled up there was a guy standing outside and he welcomed us as we walked in. He asked us if we wanted 60 or 90 minute massage. We opt for 90 minutes. He wanted to place us in 2 separate neighboring rooms. We asked for a room where we could be together and they had one available. Honey had a guy massage her and a women massaged me. It was great. They even had hot stones. Being so long since we received a massage, this was awesome. The only thing was their music had commericals which interrupted the relaxing ambience. Pandora premium isn't that expensive. After the massage we got dressed and checked out. Our masseurs we're waiting for us with another lady who seemed to be a superior. The offered us water at check out. I tipped the masseurs $25 each and paid the $170 massage fee with my card. There was a $2 charge for usinging card. I fell like for $170 they could have consumed that, but business is business.

Facility was clean but noisy. Sheets and face cradle were uncomfortable and I was cold the whole time. Massage oil felt like a personal lubrication. Felt gross on my skin and just sat ontop and was very slippery leaving my therapist to not pay attention to my knots. Came in with immense pain to leave feeling the same. Could not relax with noise from other clients, therapists, outside noise, etc. Therapist did not seem qualified or knowledgeable and there was a lack of paying attention to my troubled spots which I notified of in the beginning and kept pointing areas to work on but to be dismissed. Therapists walked out on numerous occasions for who knows what... Did not feel better after this service at all. Was given 2 different pricing by people inside at the beginning and then another person at the end tried to upcharge 10$ at the end and when questioned about the pricing at the beginning they changed it back to original quoted price. Beware. A great way to pile on more stress. Would not recommend.

The place is very clean and the front desk woman is very nice. But my massage was less than relaxing she didn't hit the key points that I did explain to her that were bothering me I felt like I was getting pet more than a massage so I did ask for deeper what she did and it was so deep it hurt my throat. The foot massage was mediocre at best. The body massage she didn't spend much time on my area which was my neck and she completely forgot about doing one of my arms. I told her when we got done that she forgot to do one arm so she did it really quick when I went to the front desk to pay they said they gave me 10 extra minutes which was not true the woman didn't even get into the room until 5 after my appointment started and she forgot to do part of my body I do not think I will go back

I work a labor intensive job with long hours and it’s very stressful. I really needed a massage. I finally was able to get off work at a reasonable hour. I called “Magical Massage” ahead of time to ask if they accept walk-ins. The lady who answered the phone was having a conversation with some else and was not speaking to me, she eventually said that they do accept walk ins. I was a little disappointed with the conversation but I was stoked. I came straight after work 40-50 min drive. When I arrived they denied me service saying it’s appointment only. I would have made an appointment on the phone if I was given that information. Waste of my time and resources. Very upset that I wasted my one day off on time for them. Be hesitant when they tell you they accept walk in’s.

best massage parlor in the clairemont- kearney mesa area. most places r a joke, these guys r for real, and very professional! i would tell u what practitioner worked on me, but i don't want to be unable to book on short notice as i have been able to. a real blessing after painting the whole underside of a deck over two weeks, always looking up, and coming in with very sore neck and shoulders, i only wish i'd known about them before, so i wouldn't have wasted all that time and money before i found them!

I was looking for a chair massage due to open heart surgery. I'm still in the healing process and can't lay down flat. My back and neck have been out since the procedure and I was in chronic pain. The massage I had was one of the best by Tom. He worked on my neck, shoulders, and back for 30 minutes. It reduced the pain by 70%. I am now a customer and will continue to to see him on a regular basis . I know that it will be 100% soon on the pain relief. Great place and great people.

I keep trying different Asian massage places around Clairemont, and this is my current fave. My one complaint is that their foot masage room shares a wall with the Korean restaurant dishwasher next door, so it can get very loud on Friday/Saturday nights. I would give 4.5 stars if that was an option, just for that reason. I have always gooten a good massage there, the front desk staff speak English, and their payment system is straightforward.

I went here for a foot massage and cupping. Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! Anna did the cupping and Nancy gave me a foot and body massage combo. Totally professional and fabulous! Reasonable prices, clean and comfortable. I highly suggest you call for an appointment because they can get quite busy. Last time I was there, they had 5 female therapists and 4 male therapists, all busy. I had to wait because I was a walk in, but it was worth it!

Found my hole in the wall massage place. Prices are extremely reasonable for what you get and they offer a punch card, after 10 massages you get a free 1 hr massage. I like deep massages and they did a great job. The room was clean but the only thing was that the CD they plays was a bit scratchy. Bring CASH tip but they do accept credit card for the initial service. Definitely will be back.

Absolutely love this place!!! I come regularly and I couldn't be happier! The place is very clean, professional, friendly and BEST massage ever! I bring my mom and friends and they always want to come back! THANK YOU Magical massage for making me feel INCREDIBLE every time! They also are generous and provide tea after your masssage! Such a great way to end the massage!

Good massages for good price. It's not very tailored or wholistic. But you can ask for deep, medium or soft pressure and they usually oblige. Love that they add hot stones in with your full body hour massage.. been coming here for years and now that I'm close by I don't go anywhere else for my bi weekly chair massage.

The BEST massage I've had in a long time. The woman that I had was very thorough and did her best to get the knots out of my shoulders and neck :) I felt bad for her! I wish I lived in San Diego so that I could go there regularly.The reflexology felt amazing too! Highly recommend

I picked Magical Massage Spa because it had great reviews...I was not disappointed! Very nice massage for a great price! They are friendly and professional; and Lisa did a fabulous 90 minute massage. I will definitely go back next time I’m in town (from Santa Cruz).

Absolutely the real thing in professional massage. The spa is beautiful and clean. Massage therapist are very professional and very attentive to sore areas. I have not had a massage this good in many months. Jessica is truly talented. Highly recommended.

I was having a neck/back pain and I just took the 30 mins session. It was really good, very efficient, I felt much better after it. I will definitely be coming back. It was not expensive and totally worth it. Excellent service and a nice place.

Awesome place, I’m a barber and it the perfect place for a chair massage. I’m going to get a lay down massage next time because I have bad knees. But it was a massage I will be back for .. David is the man !!! He really get the deep knots .

Fantastic 90-minute massage! It was just the right amount of pressure for the tension in my back and neck. Instant relief. I received my massage from Yoyo /Youyou, and she was a wonderful masseuse. Will be coming back!

Magical Massage Spa is very professional in their service. The prices are a great deal and the staff is courteous and provide quality massages. I left rejuvenated and feeling much more relaxed. Highly recommended.

This place doesn't check ids, I guess that's good when you're underage & have stolen someone's credit card. Plus, the whole giveing massages to unaccompanied minors seems very sketchy.
