По порядку: Атмосфера приятная - это хорошо. Заказ приготовили быстро. Заказал том-ям и курицу из индийского меню. А теперь по порядку. 1) Ещё ни разу не попробовал классический том-ям в Александрии. Этот раз не исключение. В супе не было томата черри, имбиря, а лайм подали отдельно. И самое главное, суп был острый и кислый, но без сливочного вкуса. Будто его готовили не на кокосовом молоке. А этим и отличается том-ям, остро-сливочным вкусом, с заметной кислинкой. Зато креветок было много - это радует. Но это не классический том-ям! 2) Подача блюда. Принесли том-ям без риса. Т.е. принесли сначала суп, а рис позже, когда суп уже заметно остыл. Хотя, я сразу уточнил при заказе, что подать нужно вместе с рисом. 3) Третье блюдо показалось вкусным, и там был имбирь. Почему его не положили в том-ям? За второе блюдо поставил бы твердую 4. Честно, ожидал большего при посещении. Почитал отзывы, и надеялся на лучшее. В следующий раз не пойду, хорошего впечатления не получил.

I have tried many Indian Restaurants in different cities in Egypt. None of them ever provided the authentic Indian Taste. So I was sceptical about visiting Malakite at the beginning during my Alexandria tour. But, after my dinner there I can happily confirm this place does not only provide the most authentic taste but also comes with a much cheaper cost of food compared to any other restaurants that are doing business using the Indian Food title in Egypt The location is perfect in the Gleem Bay. The customer service is amazing. The chef is an expert in Indian cuisines who has worked long in Oberoi hotels and waiters have the best etiquette that I have ever seen in Egypt- an unmatchable Experience what even the so called famous hotels here are bereft of. The chef even offered a free dish to me and my wife as a matter of welcome. The dinner there summed a perfect ending to our trip and I would always give my highest recommendation to Malakite Alexandria.

I was there with my fiancé yesterday for dinner and the food was more than awful. We ordered some indian food, which not just came extremly late (we had to wait for someone to take the order 20 mins, and then the food took other 40 minutes to get out), but also disgustingly yukky. The chicken smelled and tasted so bad and the rice was cold. So I called a waiter and told him to change the food because of the smell and taste, the waiter took the food and brought it back the same it was so we ordered the check. After we ordered the check they didn't even ask us how the food was or why we haven't aten our plates. So even the waiters were very uncooperative. Never going again.

We ordered Prawn Biryani, Dhal, white rice and some veg spring rolls. The prawn Biryani was very bland but had a fair amount of prawns. The dhal was very salty and the white rice was very bland. The best part were the spring rolls. The fresh lemonade was also nice but very sweet, good for taste but bad for health. Personally, I will not be eating here again. Indian food is supposed to be full of spices and taste.. unfortunately this was too bland yet salty. Although, the Biryani needed salt.

Amazing place for vegan food. They have a good selection and are very nice to adopt. We had the dish with okra vegetable. This was the first time I tried it also. With the combination of Indian spices, it has been delicious. The chef Ahmed Hindi personally delivered the food to our table which was a pleasant surprise. He helped with the vegan menu as well. This was a very nice gesture and shows their commitment to good service and customers. Very high recommendations for Malakite Restaurant. I am looking forward to coming back again ❤

Not Indian food. We ordered aloo jeera but got a soup turmeric curry. Also the naan and paneer kulcha felt frozen and not fresh. To add to the bad food the service for extremely poor and everything had to be requested multiple times. Lastly they gave us a bill with items we didn’t order and was way more than our actual bill. On asking the waiter to translate he immediately said it’s the wrong bill and gave the right one. AVOID the restaurant

Top-notch service as soon as you walk in through their doors. We were seated right near the gorgeous Mediterranean sea and given the Indian and Asian menus. We decided to go with Indian. The food was just spectacular, we had Samosas, Naan, Basmati Rice, a veggie plate with Okra and Cashew chicken. We were served directly by the chef himself Ahmed “Hindi”, who explained every dish in detail and spoke great English. Also a great place for vegans and vegetarians. HIGHLY recommend.

The food was great, the service a bit slow, but the food arrived extremely fast and tasted great, chef spoke to us directly, staff are very friendly!

I ordered the vegetarian korma, it doesn't say that it has paneer in the menu, but it came with it anyways, I know paneer is vegetarian but I hoped I could get some vegan options.

Food is more than amazing!!! I ordered butter chicken and I didn’t like it and the chef came to me to ask me what I didn’t like and he made me a new plate with all of my recommendations just to make me happy!!! This is one of the best places I’ve ever tried for Asian food! Highly recommended!

Vegetable Noodles

Chef Ahmed Hindi outdoes himself here with wonderful Indian dishes with an Egyptian flair. The mixed grill and Tandoori lamb chops were excellent, with great raita, yellow rice and a bit of fried onions for local flair. The mint chutney was extra special: I don’t know why it was so good but I don’t care! Fresh salad sides are a nice touch.

Where is the option for the 6th star? We had a lovely Indian meal at Malakite. Chef Ahmed Hindi is fantastic, he came to speak with us and cooked a wonderful meal for us (daal makhani, chicken tandoori, samosas). The staff is wonderful and made the whole experience memorable.

This is the best Indian and Asian restaurant in Alexandria. Great view, great service and amazing food. We had the Sikh Kebab which was probably the best Indian kofta in Egypt, served with rice, sweet and sour chicken, and to-die-for vegetable noodles. Even the fresh juice was delicious. Will definitely go again and soon.

One of the worst restaurants to eat in Alexandria. Speaking as an Indian, the food is not authentic at all. Taste is atrocious. I don't know how they have good reviews here. The service is pathetic as well. They took 20 mins to get the bill because of their system issue. Not at all recomended!

Great service and wonderful food. The chef really is as nice as other reviews say and he does indeed understand the difference between vegetarian and vegan. A gem in a city where being vegan means you start looking for a dinner place at 3pm and finally find one at 7pm. Thanks for existing!
