"We call this place the "play pen""
"I have been at this park a few times now"
"Great place when it's not too busy, very clean and not too huge for the puppies"
"It was nice to have a fenced off leash park"
"It's a fair size fence area to have dogs running"
We call this place the "play pen". It is a great place to bring your pup to burn off energy however if your pup does not enjoy playing in a small cage area it may not be the best fit for your dog. There are many of dogs here every evening that love to play and engage with dogs and we visit multiple times a week in the winter and practically every day in the summer. This park is nothing special, okay-ly taking care of, but no lights or groomed trail. No lights is an issue in the dark months, because it is a caged area with unknown dogs who cannot see other dogs so if your dog is uncomfortable with other dogs I would not recommend coming here after dark. We have glow in the dark collars that help other dogs see my dog's face which eliminates many conflicts but not all dog owners do the same so it can be iffy for dogs unfamiliar. But it is an off-leash area where I can allow my dog to burn her energy and I'll take it for what it is.
I have been at this park a few times now. I find the owner don't care about the bad manners their dog have. Example jumping on people, stealing other dogs water bowls and even not giving dogs and people their own space. I posted my thoughts on their Facebook site and met with lots of negative comments. I removed the post because people were not getting to point of my post and blaming me that " it's a dog park and I should expect this" Well I have been to lots of dog parks and this is the first one that I have met so many disrespectful people. I do not blame any dogs as they are doing what their owners want them to do. I will still visit this park but for very short periods of time. Maybe it will improve I am always hopeful.
Great place when it's not too busy, very clean and not too huge for the puppies. Glad to see there's a lot of bigger dogs in this park, I find that when it's a park with a primarily small dog population it's generally more "Karen-like" and not as fun... We enjoy parks with larger dog owners as they're generally better trained and the owners are more understanding of big dog behaviours. One thing I don't like is that there are people that bring their small children into the park and sometimes leave them unattended, children should not be at the dog park by themselves, this is for dogs and dogs will be dogs and accidentally knock kids over. Please keep kids, especially those under 13, out of here for safety reasons.
It was nice to have a fenced off leash park. Had a great time, all the dogs seemed decently behaved till this one super I'll mannered husky cross came at my nervous first time pup. That dog came right at him and when he backed away that dog kept coming at him. My poor guy freaked out he was on leash cause we were getting ready to leave. Lucky no one was bit. Some people just have bad mannered dogs so be careful. Dogs when meeting are not supposed to walk up face to face that is bad manners! So if your dog does this put em on a leash and teach em to go at the side or walk up behind to sniff butts first.
It's a fair size fence area to have dogs running. There is a big space of dry dirt in the middle. I wouldn't go there after it rains or in the spring with melting snow. Other than that the park is fairly clean and there is garbage can. No washroom.
Playground
There are chairs to watch dogs running.
Restrooms
Nothing in the park. There's gaz Station nearby.
Dog-friendliness
It was ok when I went. People watch their dogs .
Picnic area
I don't recommend picnics when it's full of dogs running around.
Nice place to take your dog. Only complaints I have are the fact that there are no street lights so when you go in the winter it's really dark outside so you'll have to bring a light up collar. Not even the playground beside the dog park has street lights. Secondly you have to very careful around your own dog. People like to take pictures of you if you displin in an unfriendly manner and post it on Facebook groups. Besides that it's a good place for your dog to burn some energy.
The dog park itself is excellent, however often times later in the evening (6-8pm) people with aggressive dogs will bring their dogs without a muzzle and have them off-leash; typically when this happens the dogs owner can’t or won’t control their dog. There are much better of leash parks in the city where the dogs are often well trained. If the issue of aggressive dogs being off leash so often it would get a much better review.
Overall the dog park is a nice place 100% fenced. I really like how there are dog dishes by all the benches, people are pretty nice and fill them up before they leave. One con for me would be the big area of dead grass that turns into mud, but lots of areas to play without getting into it. If you have children, there's a park right next door that they can play on while you play with your dog which is very convenient.
There is a no parking sign in the intersection of Ebbers and 144 Ave, on the side of the dog park. People are ignoring this sign and endangering everyone else in the area by blocking the turning lane. As a result, neighbors are reporting the cars parked in the no parking area to the city, including pictures of your license plate. So please be respectful and park in the designated areas.
Really nice fenced dog park. Fairly popular with garbages around to keep the dog park clean. Highly recommend as people bring dogs of all ages and a great place to socialize for the dogs and people. There is no artificial lighting, so plan to go in the day, as it is very dark in the night, unless you have a light up collar for your pet.
it's pretty decent dog park. I wish the trees were bigger so there was more shade. It was really hot there today, but people always leave extra water there for the dogs.
Dog-friendliness
It's a dog park, so it better be dog friendly, LOL. People are really good at leaving extra water, so if you run out you can usually find more.
When Manning Village opened up their off-leash dog park so close to my house I was thrilled. We visit the park 2-3 times per week with our puppers and he always has a great time! Despite previous reviews, all the owners I have encountered here are great and we have always met the nicest people at the park.
Great fully fenced area. Dogs love it enough space to keep an eye on dogs yet they can run their hearts out. Some trees. Benches. Poop bags and garbage. Someone keeps water dishes with water. Needs a tap. Parking and access is great. Located down from childrens play park on a walking path.
Nice little fully fenced dog area. Been raining a lot so it was super wet and muddy. Only one area so little dogs and big dogs have to play together. Had nice benches and landscaping. After the grass gets a little more established this will be a fantastic little park.
Was not impressed with my experience here, my puppy was so uncomfortable at this off leash and wanted to leave 2 minutes after getting there. Terrible experience on the way leaving the park another dog bite mine. Will not return or recommend this off leash area
It's not the biggest park, but what a great place for my dog to play and run. They all seem to play really well together and the dog owners are especially nice and its a great place to visit. My dog loves this park and all the dogs that come with it!
It is smaller then the dog park at Grand trunk but the dogs love it. My dog lives to meet new friends and have some play time. It has garbage cans, benches to sit and watch the pups play and water bowls. Good for dogs that are good with other dogs.
Great spot. People using the area do a decent job of picking up after their dogs. The area is entirely fenced off with 2 double door pen-style entrances to get in an out with your dog. One of the few totally fenced off lease parks in the city.
I have a small dog and there is no off leash area for a small dog. My Pup os not safe at this location and therefore has no where to run off leash. The park itself is large and a small area could be set aside for small dogs under 20lbs
Great place, can get a bit muddy when the weather's a bit wet. There's always a water bowl around and some doggy bags if you forget your own. A heads up for the small dog owners though, there's no separated space for the smol doggos.
Dog park is not too big so it is perfect for a dog that is going to a dog park for the first time. Your dog won't get too far away so you can still call him or her. Garbage cans and poo bags are available at the Gate entrance.
Love that there's always other dogs to interact with my pup....from Chihuahuas to Great Danes. Plenty of room to run. And water bowls around so just bring water to fill up a bowl. All in all a great place …
There are plenty of friendly people and dogs to play with. Was spacious enough when we visited. Didn't feel crowded or overpopulated.
Dog-friendliness
It's a fenced dog park so. I mean it's definitely dog friendly.
I like that the area is not too large but still plenty big enough to burn off my furry kid's energy. The regular goers to this park are friendly to canines and humans. A good place to meet new friends and new fur buddies.
Park itself is on the smaller side but don't let that stop you from going. Area is well maintained with plenty of garbage receptacles. There is also stainless steel bowls placed around park for water.
Love this park. It's small enough that you can see from one end to the other, but big enough that even the biggest dogs can run around to their hearts content. There's water bowls and benches as well
I do not have a dog but I have walked by many times and it is always being used. There is a good amount of space for dogs to run around in. There are no washroom facilities available. …
Two French people with a German shepherd should be banned from dog parks, Witness there dog barking in people faces. they for some reason think it’s normal behaviour and got ignorant.
Decent dog park, wish it was a little bigger but location is close to home which is convenient. Usually a good amount of dogs for my dog to interact with and the people are friendly.
Decent little dog park. Does get VERY water logged and muddy after rain and takes a long time to dry out. Would also be handy to have water taps to be able to fill up water bowls.
I loved this park.. fully fenced in and you can see from one side to the other.. all the dogs were well behaved when we were there .. really great experience …
Great little dog park that seemed to always have lots of people. As of May 17 it is still closed and under construction. Hoping it opens soon as it is so close to home.
Postage stamp of a so called dog park. Unless you have a little dog this dog park is nothing more then a backyard. No water no trails. Absolutely pathetic and sad.
At peaks hours it can be interesting if your dog loves socialising. Otherwise this park is extremely boring for average dogs. It's very small. No trees or bush.
Great dog park to let my dog burn off energy, only down fall is the grass is slowly dieing

One of the smaller dog parks, but still enough room. It has a nice big park for children down the pathway. Both my daughter and dog love this place!
Nice place. Have to park along the road and walk to it. Seen a decent amount of non picked up poop. Didn't see any bags as well so bring your own
Great place to run your dog if you can’t make it to one of the larger parks. Just wish there was more shade options in the summer.
It does the job - fenced in, grassy area for dogs to run like the crazy floofs they are. It's pretty popular in late afternoons.
Its quite small compared to Lauderdale off leash park. Is good enough and usually some dogs there for your puppy to visit.
No hose bib for pet drinking. Not enough benches. For pet owners place is large. Should have water excess. More benches
My German shepherd loves the place. He has lots of great k9 friends. All different sizes and breeds playing together.
Loved watching my landlords dog run around free and wild she was so happy. Its a great place for puppy play dates
Little hard to get away from jumping dogs there because of the size of the park. Nice if not to busy though.
Great dog park. Large open area for dogs to play. No water to swim or small dog area, but otherwise great.
This place is cool. It’s let’s dogs and their parents connect and socialize with their respective pals.
Clean dog park small but good for a local neighborhood dog park every neighborhood should have one
Really small. Its ok for a quick week night run at the park. Others in the city are much better.
Small size field buy still okay to serve dogs in neighborhood who just wanna jump free and play
Midnight walk... not many lights for a late night walk but always liked the quiet neighborhood
Only thing to worrie about is there is alot of dirt so when it rains it will be a big mud pit
First time there. Great area. My dog really had a great time. But next time I'll bring a toy.
This is a great private fenced in dog park, very busy but people here are also very friendly
Beautiful spot, well maintained. A few coyotes around Sunday morning, which was worrying.
Nice little spot to take the dogs as I live close by. But there should be more benches.
Could definitely use some lights for after dark but other than that, it's a great place
Our puppy Oscar loves the park. Very clean and people are friendly and respectful.
No problems here. Great dogs and normally well behaved but not all the owners are.
It's still in late development stage but a great place to take you beloved cannine
Smaller park but enough space to walk around and easy to keep an eye on your pup
It's great, and everyone who goes is awesome and understanding of my crazy dog
Looks good but still closed. Dog and I played in the green space beside it.
Great place for dogs to interact watch out for the mud after a good storm!
Unfortunately, lots of dirt. The grass is gone. Brought home dirty dogs
Small but great fencing and well maintained. Great owners and dogs :)
Easy to access, no real parking, just on the streets. Nice size park.
No never again some people should not own dogs just saying …
Great place to take my emma and I like that it is inclosed
Not a bad park, alway met there by some friendly pooches.
It’s well kept we just haven’t had good experiences there
Had a good time my bulldog had a blast meeting new dogs
My dog loves it and he is enjoying every sec min he has
Good area from small to medium dogs. No wind breaks.
My dog Chance had fun running with the other dogs...
People are very friendly, the dogs had a lot of fun
Nice and close to home. Wish it was a little bigger
Just needs to have some lights for safety reasons.
Great space for dogs to run around and socialize!
Super friendly place. Lots of dogs to play with.
Small park, street parking, good neighbourhood.
Good park for dogs to play with other dogs.
Totally fenced and very safe for our pets
Great, clean and friendly dogs everytime
Great park, lots of unpleasant people.
Loved it! Even though I have no dogs.
Smaller, quiet.. Friendly people.
Great little place. Fenced off
It's a decent size and fenced
It was clean and fully fenced
My dog had great experience
Great size park not to big
Busy spot with happy dogs.
Very nice well maintained
Looks good but was closed
