Where do I start… We came to Colombia for my boyfriend’s birthday, we came across this place which was listed under Cartagena. When the staff member (Cindy) reached out to me it was brought to my attention that it was on an island. So we booked another place to stay for the night because we were arriving into CTG around 9pm. Cindy was understanding and moved the hotel back a day which was the only good part of this experience. The next day when we arrived to the beach where a boat was going to transport us to the island we had to pay 200,000 pesos. When we arrived to the island we checked in Cindy was there helping us we went over the fees again and hostel rules after she asked for another payment of 170usd I told her I paid on expedia however she was adamant on collecting more money, following her guidance we paid again assuming there was a mistake of the card or Expedia so we paid again. She then told us our check in time was at 3 we ended up waiting another hour until our room was ready. When we got to the room it was so hot, the ac hardly worked, there was no warm water, no tv, just a bed, a sheet and a couple of chairs. By 6pm all the food was put away there was no one on the island. My boyfriend and I walked down to another hotel where we got food and looked more into the payment, we figured out we were double charged and we finally had enough with that experience we found someone to take us to Cartagena went back to the room packed everything and told Cindy we were checking out due to the reasons listed. When everything was brought to her attention she admitted her mistake for the double charge however didn't refund the portion she charged. As far as the no hot water, ac problems, no tv, no food etc.. she said we should’ve seen that all on Expedia which nothing was listed on their website. The best part of that experience was the boat ride back to Cartagena. Stay away from this hotel it’s overall a scam. Also, the reviews are bizarre and fake half mentioned how attractive the staff are. Attached is the receipt of being double charged.

El hotel es bueno por los servicios que tiene. Acceso a playas, piscina privada, restaurante y bar. Aunque no tiene una gran playa en frente, cuenta con un pequeño espacio agradable para tomar el sol, la sombra e incluso disfrutar se un buen baño en el mar. Tener en cuenta que se puede caminar por todas las playas sin restricción. Sin duda, lo mejor del lugar fue el servicio porque están muy atentos de sus huéspedes y le ofrecen ayuda en todo. No olviden pedir desayunar, almorzar y cenar frente al mar. Eso fue genial.

FAKE REVIEWS!!! Avoid at all costs! First off they double charged my girl friend and I. We paid online then were mislead to pay again! Not having phone service and assuming there was a mistake we paid again at the property. Once confirming we double paid Cindy admitted her mistake of charging us again but returned no money! Instead told us to take it up ourselves with Expedia. Also this is a one star hotel at best, in the room you don’t even have hot water! And the smell is less than pleasant. One bed with one sheet and an air conditioner that hardly works. This hotel/hostel is terrible so much so that we didn't even stay one night after paying double for 2 nights. We decided to pay for a boat back to the mainland Cartagena which we were overcharged for as well. All and all this is terrible, stay elsewhere

A estadia foi perfeita! Nos sentimos em casa! Elogiar especialmente o José que nos acolheu, de maneira carinhosa e cuidadosa para tudo que precisamos! A comida do hotel é especialmente boa, uma das melhores que comemos aqui em Cartagena. Além de tudo, o custo benefício é o melhor! Quando voltarmos com certeza vamos nos hospedar em Marazao novamente!

Great food great staff, no beach so dont go on the name, it is only the view and a beach that you wouldnt really wanna go on but they have a small set up outside which you can use to sit at, look at the city and have food and drinks. Value for money Bring bug spray!! The pool is great, rooms are decent and the property is nice. They are making improvements which should help a lot.

Really attentive host. I was walking by Punta Arenas to know the surrounding area and I stopped by to get some drinks. The host provided delicious lemonade. The hotel looks really nice and it has a comfy pool
