I wouldn’t go here or, at the very least, I wouldn't recommend going to Sydney (I think that was her name). I got a balayage here in late June 2022 and the experience was terrible. First, my haircut lasted for exactly 3 minutes. She cut it dry and snipped snipped and 3 minutes later that was 75$. Cutting it dry is fine if that’s what people do these days(I’ve never experienced that) but I’m sorry, for 75$ it was a huge ripoff. Then I showed a picture, and while I know your hair will never come out 100% looking like the picture, it came out completely wrong. I wanted a light caramel-ish balayage and I have dark brown hair. It came out this awful ashy grey-ish looking color nothing like the picture. When I mentioned that, Sydney stated “oh I’m sorry I should have told you it was probably going to come out more ashy”. Like what?!! I would have picked something else or talked about it more if I had gotten that info up front. Also, the balayage is teased into your hair, and after washing Sydney spent 2+ hours trying to get all my knots out which hurt like all hell and was so miserable. Idk why they didn’t just condition it again or something but I just went through the pain. Then after the color came out poorly, Sydney said I could come back and get it fixed for free if I come back within like 10-14 days or something. I was leaving town for 4th of July vaca so I said I would need to schedule when I came back. I left there and paid $500!!! for the services and even tipped a full 20% for a total of $600 in good faith thinking I would be taken care of. I reached out twice about appts to reschedule and she couldn’t fit me in either time so I missed my window after I was back in town. TERRIBLE SERVICE, TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Sydney was super nice to talk to (I was there for 8+ hours) but the experience for my hair was not good at all. Also, the owner Eduardo was there the whole time doing other people’s hair, i wish he could have stepped in and at least offered some help or suggestions through all the brushing out of knots and pain. I waited a while to write this review because I didn’t want to write it while I was angry about my hair, but I pass this place all the time and I was new to Houston at the time so I feel like people should know. I went here initially because the reviews were so good. I guess maybe everyone just mostly goes to Eduardo? He was the most expensive though, of course, so I can't imagine how much that would have cost.

I’ve visited this salon 3 times in the last 1.5 years. The first time I had an amazing experience and loved my haircut. Which is why I’ve gone back twice since. My second time here I didn’t have the same amazing experience. The stylist himself was kind, but I did not get the haircut I asked for. I ended up going elsewhere to get it fixed. Part of me thought maybe it was my fault for not being explicit enough with what I wanted, so I went back a third time this past weekend, and it was another disappointing cut. I told the stylist I wanted a trim and my layers refreshed. I didn’t notice the full results initially since I got a blowout and it was hard to tell how the cut would look on my wavy hair, but what was apparent as soon as I got home was the fact my face framing layers were uneven. So I had to trim one side myself to match the other side. After washing my hair, I noticed my layers weren’t refreshed, I don’t even think they were trimmed since it doesn’t even look like I have layers. The hair from what used to be my top layer is very dry and damaged compared to the rest of my hair since it doesn’t look like it was trimmed. Overall, my last couple experiences have been very disappointing. It especially sucks when you paid a good price for a service that was not delivered well (haircut w/ blowout was $85 + tip).

My experience at this salon was wonderful. My hair stylist, Mike, did full highlights for me. I chose colors pastel pink and green, and the results came out beautifully! I've thought about doing this for a really long time but I was always hesistant because of how long it would take etc.. but he was able to do it in an hour and a half so that was magical ✨ The reasons why I can see myself coming back to this salon is not only the results I got but also the way they treat their customers. I normally feel kinda awkward walking into a hair salon because lowkey staffs make you feel some type of way.. However Mike made me feel comfortable (even tho i didn't talk much throughout the session). I really like the cozy vibe in here with cute decorations, they have their own taste if that makes sense. I encountered three staffs including him and everyone was so chill and free-spirited. Mike was professional yet easy to talk to. I think their prices are pretty reasonable. The only thing is parking. The plaza parking had spots for specific establishments and so id say it's a little limited. nonetheless, I highly recommend this salon. they offered me complimentary water/soda!

I had an amazing experience at Marcella Salon. Usually I'm very nervous when it comes to letting someone cut my hair, but Eduardo was informative and artistic when I came for a haircut. Eduardo consulted what I was looking for and different options of new hairstyle. Besides the haircut, Eduardo is a kind individual, he cares about your hair and yourself as a person. He asked me how I was doing, we ended up having a deep and meaningful conversation where I came out of the salon with amazing advice. I highly recommend meeting Eduardo for any hair services and having an amazing person to talk to. Also I love my new hair and was shown how to take care of it for what I was looking for.

I wish I had good pictures of when I went for a haircut but unfortunately I don’t ): But EVERYONE here is amazing! The last visit I had was with Kat and she did great, she was very welcoming, super funny (which is a plus), gives really good advice on taking care of your hair, and makes sure before she works on you that you’re the one in control of what happens to your hair! The attention to detail here is incredible. I will never ever step foot in another salon, not even being dramatic lol

Marbella salon did my hair and make up for my wedding the beginning of October and I was thrilled with their services. Eduardo was communicative through all the reschedules and up to the date, took care of myself, family and bridesmaids. The stylists that did our hair and makeup exceeded my expectations and even figured out a way to keep my hair nice before the photos (since it was raining that day). I would highly recommend The Marbella Salon and use them again.

I visited this weekend to get my haircut and I was incredibly impressed by the service I received. I came in with an idea of what I wanted and through the consultation process Eduardo found a way to make the style look the best for my specific facial features. This was probably the first actually good haircut I've gotten in a long time. If you get a chance book an appointment with him do it, as he is truly a master of his craft. 10/10 would recommend

I highly highly recommend this salon! I got my hair done by Katarina and she was amazing. My hair is perfect, healthy, and the price point for what I got was extremely good. She makes you feel welcome, as do the other stuff. She makes you feel like you're getting your hair done by a friend you've known for years! If you're looking for someone with good energy who can do amazing hair, book an appointment with Kat, and overall the salon is amazing.

Hopefully I am not writing his name wrong but Mike helped me fall in love with my hair again, I was ready to do a major cut and I absolutely changed my mind when he started to educate me about my face shape and my hair type. The supplies and shampoos he used smelled heavenly! I will definitely be back, The Salon is very clean and Mike took his time on everything. Thanks again Marbella Salon!

Wow, I am so fortunate to find this salon! Eduardo cut my hair from a blob of hair, into a long l pixie with short sides and back. He let me send pics of styles I liked through Instagram first, so we could both feel comfortable that he was the best stylist for me. He’s technically fantastic at cutting and works with you to find something unique. I’m a fan and have a new forever stylist!

I was recommended to come here by my mom. As soon as I entered I was greeted and helped out right away. I wanted something fun and eye catching. Michael exceeded! He was very confident. I was so satisfied with their overall services, I took my son (4yrs) to get a haircut. Eduardo was so good with my son and cleaned him up very well. I will definitely be recommending Marbella.

I cannot stress enough how much I recommend this salon! I found this salon after my first hair stylist ruined my hair color and damaged my hair. When I walked in Katarina quickly assessed the damages and what she could do to correct it. She was able to correct the color just in time for the holidays and I got so many compliments on it! I will definitely be coming back!

Eduardo is the best, also the guy who finished applying product on my hair! You guys rock. Thank you for treating me well on my first visit. I WILL be back! Experience from start to finish was awesome and very informative including recommendations on best hair products for my type of hair, as well recommendations on what style would look best based on what I wanted to achieve. My stylist was very knowledgeable and I knew I could trust that I would be happy with my hair results, and I definitely was.

Eduardo's artistic and intuitive experience are top-notch. He cut waist length, curly hair into the most flattering, above-the-shoulder style. People with curly hair know how difficult it is to get the right cut. No stress here. Eduardo, and his team, are wonderful. The vibe in the salon is fun and upbeat and professional.

I made an appointment with Katerina for a balayage and it is the best decision I have ever made for my hair! She took her time to make sure we did exactly what I was looking for and I am so happy with the results and it’s growing out so beautifully already. Jane revived my curls!!! They were very dull and dry, Jane recommended a demi permanent B3 treatment and my curls look AMAZING! Highly recommend! As a bonus the salon is gorgeous with a beautiful vibe and beautiful people! :)
