I really like Margie's as a place, it's a good fit for the hotel and the community. We had a nice brunch at the bar - B.E.C. was "really good" and the fried chicken sandwich was fine but I was expecting a little more taste and a moist chicken. *The food is ok* and hit or miss. One night we had wonderful apps but main course was just meh. Nothing is awful, mind you, but kind of basic and not inexpensive. But, what they lack in quality, *it's a scene*! Good place for Sunday Funday or mild hangover with friends kind of vibe, and the *live music* is really good. The room is open and tiled so the music can be loud enough to interrupt conversation. If you have someone who doesn't like loud rooms, might not be the place for them. Get an "Irish coffee* - could be the best in town made with their own whipped cream. Servers are very friendly and efficient, and they serve a variety of beer, wine and cocktails. Update 8/8/23: I had a Striped Bass special that was fantastic - very flavorful with black peppercorns and other spices. I was fishing out any leftover pieces from the red broth (yes, I'm embarrassed and if it were respectful to slurp the broth, I would!). A draft of Five Boroughs Tiny Juice IPA is a good choice.

Went to Margie’s for the first time…was looking forward to their “Prime and Wine” which features $40 prime rib and half off bottles of wine. The waitress told us they might be out of the prime rib but we were thrilled when she came back to tell us we got the last two. A few minutes later the manager apologized while informing us they had in fact run out of prime rib. He extended the half off wine special and offered a complimentary round of drinks. I have to admit we were thinking of leaving when the waitress mentioned they might have run out. But the manager went out of his way to apologize, offer compensation, and checked more than once on how everything was. Food and service was great. The table bread and butter was even delicious. The atmosphere was lively. And the whiskey sours were made the right way…with egg whites! My beloved Irish grandmother would have applauded them. We will definitely be back!

Margie’s does not disappoint!! The food was incredible as well as the hospitality shown to us. Mattie (our server) and the bus boys went above & beyond. Hats off to the manager who made us feel like family & took the time to talk with us (and bought us a round ) I eat out a lot but I can honestly say everything was above par. Thanks Margie’s, for an excellent night out. We’ve already ascribed to returning next Wednesday (yea, it was that.good.)

We witnessed how kind and attentive the staff was to the young families dining w/babies. So nice to see.

We went here twice during our visit to the beach, once for lunch and once for dinner. The food was good both times and feels like a reasonable price for what you get. The food tended to be on the heavy side, so I actually found the salads to be theost enjoyable items because they felt more balanced to me. We had a watermelon and feta salad which was interesting and delicious. The Caesar salad with chicken was also excellent. The portions are quite large by NYC standards, but match what you would likely expect in other places in America. The staff was also great and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was light and airy.

Margie’s is located in the Rockaway Hotel … and it is AMAZING !!!! Went to double date dinner and everything was simply perfect from beginning to end , the hospitality was great .. we had tasty appetizers, sliders and an amazing burrata cheese with walnuts and apples that is to die for and that is only the beginning . Dinner was Burger , Pork Chops with glazed carrots and the BEST rigatoni bolognese I ever had . Not to mention the drinks , they have some unique and amazing drinks . My husband and I fell in love with Margie’s . We recently stayed at the Rockaway hotel and had Margie’s for lunch and dinner & the food was fantastic . We have no idea why the place doesn’t have a perfect 5 stars because it definitely should . The food can get a bit pricey but trust me the quality is well worth it. We had the Margie’s burger which my husband claims is the best burger he’s ever had , and for dinner we had the fried calamari and the pork chops both of which were amazing . If you’re ever near Rockaway you should definitely give this place a try . We can’t wait to return !

it was a mini getaway in my own backyard! It was the perfect spot to bring family and friends from out of town. The staff feels like you've known them forever. Courteous, friendly, and so so attentive to our table of 13! The food was delicious, great presentation. We were allowed to stay and have cocktails after we finished brunch, which we appreciated, to catch up with friends and family ! I highly recommend, as the staff always works with you to accommodate everything you need. Wonderful, wonderful experience. We will be back !

We had a great time at Margie’s! Everyone was so lovely, service was amazing with recommendations and our cocktails were the best I’ve had in NY! We all had a burger, each cooked to different temperature and each to perfection!!! Loved it! They are located in a hotel and there is a rooftop bar with amazing sunset views - we didn’t book it but managed to get a spot on the balcony with the sunset. A DJ on a Friday night and we even danced a little! Highly recommend Margie’s and then the rooftop bar that serves the same cocktails - I had Hemingway Old Fashioned and Shark Bite - delicious!!! We loved it!

We live in the area and were looking for somewhere local for dinner. Found this gem on Google! First, our server Ryan was the best! Very attentive and personable. So service is definitely a 10/10. We had the shark bite as the drink and I can say this is my new favorite. Baked clams as the starter ... be sure to ask for a small spoon to scoop up that sauce on the plate lol. We both had the steak special and it was spectacular! That roasted garlic definitely did it for me. Seeing as I'm local this is somewhere I plan to frequent. 20/10 overall!

Pretty much the definition of mid as far the food goes. I went in for the October fest specials, and there was really nothing special about it. A large, and VERY greasy schnitzel was accompanied by a side of spatzen, and that was it. For the price they were charging, it would have been nice to see an additional color or two on my plate. Maybe a spot of hot purple cabbage, I don't know. My past experiences dining in here have been mixed overall. The vibe is okay, but the food is the most unspectacular fare I've ever overpaid for in my life.

This is a top notch restaurant and for the area, you won’t find a better place to spend a night with a loved one. It’s on the rockaway hotel. Plenty of seating and the service is fast. Portions are a little bigger than usual, so you can def share some. Servers are on point and the food is A+. It’s always great to stay in a hotel with a great restaurant. Prices are above average. Wow, terrible experience at this place. We waited over 15 min and no one came to our table to take our order. So, I went to the bar asked for some drinks, this poor bartender (kudos to her) told the manager hey they’ve been waiting for a waiter. Manager was clueless. This to me was the utmost worst customer service, these types of experiences leave such a bad taste you never want to patronize them. We spend way too much on dinners in New York, and hubby & I are some real foodies, that we are going to stick to restaurants that appreciate their customers. Going to Lenny’s!

EVERYONE was so genuinely nice and approachable. Attentive without being overbearing. Erin the hostess stood out so much that we had a sort of spiritual connection that made me emotional and she she comforted me and wrote me a personal note. JB made sure we were happy and celebrated our anniversary with a complimentary dessert. And all this in Day 1!! We will be back for brunch today...Thank you for an incredible experience ♥️

This was an amazing experience for myself, having an opportunity to eat here. The atmosphere is perfect and very mellow, with a great opportunity to enjoy a peaceful and delicious meal. When I went they had a live lounge singer who made the experience fantastic, and the food and drinks were fantastic. I enjoyed their chicken on the rocks, and while a little oily for my tastes from how it is prepared, I still found it delicious nonetheless. The drinks available are also quite good, and highly recommend the Rosebud as a wonderfully tart and citrusy nightcap.

Amazing modern cafe and bar in a trendy, tasteful, spacious, cool place for all ages, types of people. Dress up or down, be nice, plan your events here and don't forget to show proof of your vaccination card. The service was lovely, the host staff and bartenders and waitstaff try their best. The food and drinks are creative. One note: I would rather add some veggies to eggs Benedict because it lacks this, also please serve cappuccino in a large cup, nobody likes super small cappuccino. Otherwise thank you!!! It's a local gem. Go check this out guys!!!

We were in a little rush to catch the last ferry after a beach day, but starving. Everyone was great about getting us in and out in the ~1.25 hours we had. Mondays are apparently half.off house cocktails, the three we tried were out fast and tasty. Our server Ayesha was great! Very friendly, attentive and helpful even though she was busy with a full section. The burger was good, the caramelized onions were tasty. Fries were on the low end of mediocre, I'd do the salad next time.

Cocktails are best ever had (shark bite and kir royale in perfect balance). Little bit too much salt on fries, little bit too much dressing on salad, so in some detailing garish, but salmon was great. Staff and general hosting was highlight. I paid $34 for Pasta with Lobster. I'm not sure how Margie defines lobster but cartilage is not meat. Cartilage is trash that most people I know throw away, so why is Margie's serving it as if it is lobster meat. I find this not only despicable but also unethical. One does not spend money on lobster for the cartilage. If I order a steak, it's for the meat, not the bone or fat. Same principle, this is disgusting and I will contact Better Business about this.

I loved Margie’s. I have been here 4 times before tonight, but tonight’s service made me feel discriminated, from the moment we got into the restaurant I didn’t feel welcomed as before. The server took about 40 min to take our order after our first interaction. We had to ask the helpers about being ready to order our meals and also for the bill. I was so happy to bring my best friend to this place, but we left dissatisfied with the service.

Steak sandwich was on point,Mac and cheese was great,a little loose but delish,fish and chips was awesome,it tasted like they just grabbed it out the water. French fries, you just can't stop eating.
