Quite possibly the worst Hardware Store in Melbourne. Defiantly the worst I have ever been to anyway. No good for advice. And unbelievably rude when you take them back a tool that doesn't do the job it is suppose to. For example I bought paving tools and a spirit level. And while at work I found that the spirit level is not actually level. So wanted a replacement and took it back. The fault was was checked and confirmed by the clerk who was clearly not happy with my decision to return a faulty tool. He said it is not good for paving and gave me my money back. I said that I still needed a spirit level and was offered almost no assistance so I left. Very unhelpful and down right rude. There will be a better option closer than you think...

Great store run by people that know their products inside out. The prices are very competitive but the advice and support provided by the two brothers that run Martin's Mitre 10 distinguishes it from other hardware stores. If they don't have exactly what you need then they can order it in often within 24 hours and they'll never sell you the wrong product. I have used Martin's Mitre 10 for over 5 years and would always recommend them because you'll get the products you need with the right advice at a good price, not a trolley full of junk!

These two gents, who are brothers, are amazing. Highly competitive prices, a huge range crammed into a small shop and best of all, unlike Bunnings, they know their stock and are incredibly knowledgeable. Don't waste half an hour searching at Bunnings with fairly clueless and sometimes abrupt staff whose care factor is close to 'nil': come to this Mitre 10 'Handy' across Hoddle St, next to North Richmond station, the 246 Punt Rd bus and the 12 and 109 tram routes. You're unlikely to be disappointed.

Best hardware store ever. While a small shop, there is a lot crammed into it, and the two gentlemen running it really know their stock - plus lovely people and a delight to talk to. Suprisingly competitive prices too. Depends what you need, but I would go here in preference to Bunnings any day. Very nice people and excellent customer service.

SMALL HARDWARE STORE IN THE MIDDLE OF VICTORIA STREET RESTAURANT ZONE This is Mitre 10 brand - you get more personalised service but the range is much less than a Bunnings. Good for those small home repair tasks and for getting advice when you aren't sure what equipment you might need.

I've been here a number of times. The service from the 2 gentleman has always been second to none. They are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Their prices are competitive and this shop is next to the tram stop and the train station making it very convenient.

I have found them much cheaper than the competition on the cheap lines and when I want quality items they get them in for me. Amazing place great folks who know their stuff. Go there first what they cant supply get elsewhere

Where else can you get quality coloured keys, properly cut for $2.75 each? I've had about 40 keys copied by these guys over the last 4 years, never had one fail.

Better service here in 10 minute than the hour I spent at Bunnings looking for similar items. More affordable than Bunnings up the street! Knowledgable team!
