Came in after leaving my salon ran around trying to quickly grab item that I needed for dinner I recently moved & am pregnant so I just needed to grab a few quick items because I had nothing in my new place yet. The notice that closing time was soon kept coming on I rushed to the front to self checkout where every lane except one had been closed. I was greeted with a horrible attitude from the woman standing at the counter watching the girl in front of me checkout & goes it’s closed now & at first it didn’t register to me & I said I’m sorry what? She goes all of the registers are closed. I said can’t I just check out right after her & she puts her hands on her hips huffs & goes it’s 10:01 we close at 10 I’m not gonna stand here to watch you checkout I got off at 10. I stood in shock and asked what I should do with the cart & she goes leave it & get out. I will never return here or likely any Kroger again over this I was in complete shock that this woman would act that way. I had less than 10 items & would have left quickly it was just sad to be treated that way… Kroger get rid of crummy employees that make people feel like this or that treat your customers this way it’s really sad.

It's my local Kroger. I'm in here all the time because it's convenient. It's Mars Hill. They've done some "renovating" I suppose to try and keep up with these huge super Krogers that are popping up. They tried to add a bunch of fancy smancy things that I feel in general don't fit the demographic of the area but I also see some of that being marked down and cleared out. I get it, you have to try new things and do what corporate says. I've noticed pricing in one Kroger is not the same as another. Like they feel they can get away with hiking it up if it's a higher income area. Since this is lower middle class area the pricing here is better. Prices seemed to go down some after Marsh went out of business??? Which of course is great. I love the staff. Wish more lanes were open more often. I hate self check out. You feel nearly forced to use it then if you hit a certain number of items it locks up and you have to wait for the associate to come over and unlock it. Avoid using the bathrooms if you can, I avoid public restrooms as much as possible anyway. I'll be back without a doubt.

I give it only 3 stars because the building is old and not up to date lime a lot of other Plazas around the city plus there isn't much their really, I o my use the Kroger, which by the way is always out of the main things people need like sugar for instance and tea. If something goes on sale I'd suggest in going the day of the sale because management has not been doing well at keeping the shelves stocked. There is a dollar tree in this plaza but a small one with no freezer section. A pet shop with no pets only fish, lol, a little Caesars pizzeria, a hair salon, Mexican restaurant and a check cashing/loan business. On the plus side the Burger King next door is going through a remodel, so at least something is being upgraded in the neiborhood!

Of all the Kroger stores I've been in this is by far the worst. The late night stockers are rude and unprofessional frequently blocking aisles and access to shelves. Routinely have to deal with wrong pricing due to items not being put in proper shelf locations. For instance, I picked up a 3lb package of ground beef that was right behind the "sale" sticker. Get to the checkout and it's not what's on sale. Apparently a lot of the item on sale had been sold so they refilled the location with something else but left the advertisement. They also lock the entry 20 minutes or more before the store actually closes. My suggestion is drive the extra 2 miles and shop at Walmart.

Not the best area in town. The Kroger was not filthy but it wasn't great. Long lines for check out . Over fifteen minutes to check myself out. They were out of several sale items. The Pet Valu was very nice almost seemed out of place in this location. Very overgrown trees on the Mooresville Road exit. Tough to see oncoming traffic. I was in the area and needed a few things. Not my regular haunt. The Planet Fitness was very nice well above expectation. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. So I found myself in the area again I would definitely drop into this Planet Fitness location.

Everyone in this neighborhood is still so kind. Workers, customers, just the whole environment is still so kind and caring. Employees are very kind and handle your products with care when handling any products. These are the kind of people I want to run into daily with such high energy and positive energy. Thank you for all your kindness and caring. Keep this love spreading through the rest of the world. Make everyone's day brighter to pass it on to the next. Take care everyone and be filled with joy and happiness to spread amongst everyone to make life better.

As I know alot of people shop this area to me it's unsafe, a man was found recording people in there bathrooms of the kroger which also has a police officer at certain points during the day The dollar tree has turned my money away as they have had counterfeit issues before, wouldn't even check my money as I had a $50 and 2-3 items, the manager just flat out told me no The radio shack people never have a clue when you walk in about what you need and will try to just hand you something. I don't live in that area but drive by and have had to stop there, I am not impressed

  • Danton Harris

I think Marwood in general, has that little "Mayberry" styled neighborhood feel to it when compared to other neighborhoods that comprise the Indy-metro area around the city. The workers in these businesses and the folks that live in and around the Marwood area are friendly and accommodating and that makes a big difference to a lot of people, including myself, when deciding on which neighborhood to visit to spend our dollars. Being nice and friendly = attracting more customers! Wow! Who would have ever guessed at that correlation!?! Lol

  • Eve Graves

I placed a order from the deli, got there had to wait 30 minutes, the clerk put the food in my car, it spilled all over my back seat(pics), she did try to fix her mistake by repackaging the food which still leaked, I delivered the food, the green beans were not cooked and missing the cakes. I had to return and was treated as if I did something wrong. I was refunded for the green beans and cakes but not for my back seat. I was told the manager was on vacation and would contact me and that was at the end of August. Long vacay...

  • Mathew Troutt

Shop at the kroger here frequently because the location is convenient. It is not uncommon for the lines to get really backed up. Learned my lesson about looking at exp dates. Bag of chips over a year out dated, have gotten things out of the frozen section almost a year past expiration date. Any frozen veggies I always make sure they are not one solid mass like they have been thawed and refrozen this seems to be a relatively common issue at this location also.

  • William Ball

I'm sorry as I hate to be negative. However, I only go to Marwood Plaza if I absolutely have to. The parking lot is filthy and the parking lot is full of treacherous holes. The stores are largely rundown, not all, but it's just never a pleasant experience for me to go there. They need to really heavily invest in making it a more quality place. I will go down the street before I stop there if I can do it.

  • Mellissa Terry

Stopped in here to get pull-ups and diapers to my grandchildren. After being a and for a minute I wasn't there very long with the customer service and checkout lines went rather quickly. I've always liked going to this Kroger because they're really nice and I'm able to get in and out really fast. It's also in the area that I like to visit when I'm doing deliveries for different restaurants.

  • Jeremy Wilson

This is probably the most nasty plaza that I have had the privilege to visit besides some of the plaza's in Chicago. C'mon management? Hire some folks who care and ENJOY working in customer service. I used to work for Kroger and have been in the back several times only to find filth and nastiness all throughout. I would not suggest getting any in store prepped foods from here. Just saying!!

  • Nancy Williams

Kroger, dollar tree, to many phone places. Has tendency to be really crowded and the parking lot could use repaving. Back exit to mooresville road is dangerous. You have to basically pull out into traffic to see if there is traffic bc the overgrowth is to hard to see past and the city wont cut it down, and the plaza wont take care of it. Random guy was back there cutting it back last year.

  • Brittany McDaniel

It goes without saying, but if you're not too familiar with the area then you're in for a bit of a surprise. Don't get me wrong, clearly both the building strip and parking lot were well overdue for their recent repairs. It just seems the new and improved appearance of the strip mall has attracted more drug addicts and criminals than paying customers to their shops.

  • Gena Pinkard

The plaza has Mexican food, Chinese food and a great fun bent and dent sore called buyers market next to the kroger with cool finds of odds and ends. Kroger is less busy as the one on Southport so definetly a go to for groceries. The kroger is a little smaller so if looking for specific brands no a go to stop. Staff was nice at the plaza stores though!

  • Jeffery Baise

We went to Kroger's you get a couple gallons of milk was treated very respectful and nice check out ladies please give them a break they're always on their feet I'm sure they get tired and they don't need to hear grumpy people being grumpy to them remember just to tell him how great of a job they're doing it makes him feel a lot better

  • Properties Maxsstarman

I love the Krogers. It is very convenient for fast grocery shopping. There are a lot of other places in this plaza as well. I also really love Lil' Ceasars pizza. I love the hot and ready pepperoni cheesest pizza. There are also cellphone service shops and if I'm not mistaken a pet vet place over here too. All lot of one stop shopping

  • Riki H

I was so uncomfortable here. I observed what appeared to be shady going ons as I walked up to the store. I no sooner entered Kroger & a female employee ran passed me chasing & yelling at a teenaged boy who tried leaving with a big stack of meat packages without paying. I walked right back out & went to another Kroger.

  • Lora Shaw

I only had time to shop the Marwood dollar tree, and the Marwood kroger. Both places were very clean, fully stocked, and the staff was just amazing! This is my favorite Kroger. There's also a Chinese restaurant, a place for taxes, n many more, come check it out! I would recommend Marwood Plaza to everyone.

  • peter pflum

My soul ached as I approached, yes civilization has fallen but do we have to fall to this. Cracked asphalt strewn with the lost hopes of all who tread. Once inside i was treated to all the best 70% percent effort can create, a shopping experience that makes one uneasy as they walk away but happy to be.

  • Troy Roberts

They have the dollar store they have planet fitness also a beauty place that’s similar to kings beauty and also they have a Pasquales which has the best pizza I’ve been to two different Pasquales and this has the best pizza! And they also have a tax place and Arby’s and speedway is within the plaza!

  • Debbie H.

This is like an old-fashion pizza place. Pizza is always good and they take care to place toppings on the whole pizza. Cheese? yes lots of cheese, great tasting sauce, sausage is nice size, not big chunks. Tried other local places, but none of them, in my opinion. compare to Kentucky Ave. Pasquales.

  • L R

They really need to invest some money in this shopping plaza. I know it's a "poor" area but the availability of goods is very important, as well as not feeling like the entire area is trash. It's depressing and keeps people down. I drove by here recently and saw it had been painted. Good on you!!

  • Gerald White

A woman checking out in front of me paid $66.00 of my $166.00 grocery bill out of the blue (paying it forward) and thanked me for doing a good job taking care of my friend who is plagued with Parkinson's Disease. It really surprised me & I am sincerely humbled. Thank you to the angle who gave.

  • Leslie Vanover

I think this Kroger has good selection of fresh fruits and its nice the pet store is next door because I have a cat and doggie I can usually find a handicapped spot for my wheelchair van as well. I really like that Kroger provides paper towels and sanitizer to spray carts!! …

  • Shawn Harper-Hall

Lots of different shops & stores.Kroger, dollar tree, pizza,Mexican, phone and hair salon to name a few.Large parking that is well lit up at night.Kroger being the only store open after 10pm.There is also a few fast food places right in the same parking area as well as a fitness place.

  • Jonathan Sefton

Totally dissatisfied staff well underpaid definitely can see that their Union should do something about that. Shall not return. Halville so much better with all round results maybe it's just people in general with no morals Marwood should be shut down and save their Union...

  • David Hagan

Great this Thursday morning. Came in to get a free cholesterol screening and grab a few things. Check on some scripts at the pharmacy. And as always I usually spend more especially when they have sales with coupons that can be used up to 5 times. Money saved in my pocket.

  • Stephanie Warrix

This is a really sad and depressing set of stores in need of a demo team to just tear it all down and walk away. The area is a bit rough, you may not need your gun, but don't leave anything in you car that someone may think has value, you will come out to a broken window.

  • Michelle Bracewell

Friendly employees, usually stocked pretty good, can load digital coupons on my card plus they mail me coupons that is customized just for me sometimes they send coupons for free stuff like salad, eggs, etc.... it could be a bit cleaner is the only reason its not 5 stars

  • Jennifer Hynes

There are a few stores and food places as well as a bank. Parking lot has been recently resurface, which is a huge improvement! Just be careful with folks wandering the lot; always keep items of value out of sight and lock your doors while you are shopping/banking, etc.

  • Kaysee

This plaza has a bit of everything from a grocery store to dollar store, few places to eat, and a few places to take care of yourself. There is a Chase Bank across the way and a Huntington ATM down by the SPRINT store. An easy place to get everything you need in one go.

  • Insaniest Miscellaneous

Always use self checkout so minimal interactions with employees. I do wish they would make the grab and go deli selection in smaller portions so you don't have to spend $10 for ham but overall decent place for groceries although prices are climbing at an alarming rate

  • Sean's Stuff

Parking lot is trashed. Plenty of parking though. Dog/pet store is awesome, Kroger is not completely ghetto, Chinese food place is decent (it's American Chinese food, with great people running it), I've never been robbed at the pnc atm and I go all hours.

  • Heather Atwell

Ahhh Marwood Plaza..u see the Kroger an u know ur home! Grew up in the neighborhood so when I visit, it takes me back to all the memories we mad thru the years. Its good to still see a lot of the same faces around. Love the West side..its the best side!

  • Marlene White

I like Violet the cashier & the night cashier at this small Kroger where clearance aisle is expensive. Otherwise, Marwood is overall, a dump. Thieves abound, Ky Ave & nearby roads full of holes & poorly graded. Arby's is all right, as is Dollar Tree.

  • Rene Koller

I am not against Marwood Plaza, only Kroger. They have the worst customer service. The rest of the shops are quite nice. Love the Dollar Tree and the new Mexican restaurant has wonderful food, but would be better if they brought back the buffet.

  • Sharlene Marie (Sharms)

Always out of the most common items. I need a back up plan for meals now, you know bc most likely they won't have what we want or need. This isn't new, been shopping at this location for 3 years now and nothing has changed from day 1 …

  • Polina Vino

I love that little Caesars because the staff is awesome and especially the guy who works on Sunday nights and the pizza is always delicious and it's like a family type of vibe every time I come in it's very friendly and I just like them

  • John Caveda

The store is clean enough. Grocery selection is ok, but less extensive than several other Kroger stores. The parking lot is a bit of a nightmare though, with narrow spots, narrow aisles, and bad visibility due to the cart corral covers.

  • Amanda Belew

Not to happy with Maywood plaza I went into Kroger the other night and It was just flat out dirty most of the people working were very nice and the other half was just rude ill continue to go to the Kroger on w Washington st from now on

  • Troyellen Daniels

I go there for Kroger mainly. The store is run down - needs updating and expanding badly for how busy it is. BUT it's better than Marsh because prices are better. The whole stripmall needs updating and parking lot needs resurfacing.

  • Lori Goodpaster

I was looking for something specific but they did not carry it. From what I had seen, this location wasnt super busy and shelves looked stocked more than recently. I frequent this Kroger as it is the location nearest my home.

  • Lisa Robertson

I shop here just about every day after work and yes if we get and bad rain the parking lot floods but really I am willing to over look because of the atmosphere inside that you do not get anywhere else that is why I go there

  • Kate Glover

I hate going to this Kroger and normally try not to the fruits and vegetables are not the best. I've seen more than one thing have mold on it. Just overall not very clean, not a very nice store, not in a very good neighbor.

  • Noel family fun

Just a bit dirty inside and out but when you in an area where the consumers are dirty and rude what can you expect. Customer service is great and the shelves are usually stocked pretty well depending on the time of day.

  • daniel wilson

Used the pharmacy on this day. One pharmacist wasn't too nice at all honestly, but the other one, a pretty black woman noticed her co-workers rude display, stepped in and made my visit suddenly as pleasant as possible.

  • Samantha Perez

A smaller Kroger store, but it’s my go to Kroger store. And this seems to be the only location I can go to with my younger children. When they start throwing a fit, nobody stares like we have twelve heads. Lol thanks!

  • Annetta Armstrong

The one bagger didn't come over to help Senior and register lady bag up items. Too busy talking even thou he seen there was a bunch of items. I had to jump in to help her. For the line was getting long. Usually …

  • Christiana Watson

Maywood is a very busy plaza with Kroger and surrounding businesses. Dollar General, Planet fitness and stones throw away is walgreens, rallys,Walgreens, metro pcs, little Ceasars. Its a good area for everyday needs.

  • Amber Love

They've closed some of the stores, like the Dollar Tree, but the Kroger is still here. The parking lot could certainly be cleaner, but it's well lit and I feel safer here than at some of the other nearby stores.

  • Michele Charles

Marwood Plaza is just right down the street from my house. Its has everything, Krogers, pet stire, Sprint Store, Great Clips, Tan Salon, Nail Salon,Little Ceaser,Dollar Tree, H& R Block,2 Restaurants, Chase bank

  • Joy Inskeep

It's just a local shopping plaza, but seems like all the stores there the people give good service. My only concern is how close it is to the creek. That does seem to flood regularly in heavy rain seasons.

  • JR X

Location Location Location US 67 Ample Parking N This Kroger Near China One Plus, A Buyer's Market opened just next door to Kroger. John, Natasha, Darlene and The Entire Staff are Very Helpful ☺️ …

  • Cindy Richmond

They are becoming more competitive with their pricing compared to Walmart. The only thing is they do not have price match if they did I would always go there. The one on Southport Road is even better.

  • shannon palmer

Its been my "go-to" most of my life, it's convenient for most things and it's made up of mostly affordable stores. I always see someone I know and we usually chat a while. Marwood plaza is home to me.

  • Leonard Caponegro

A neighborhood strip mall to buy essentials, go to the bank, eat at restaurants, and other small local businesses. I usually go there to buy groceries from Kroger which surprisingly looks very clean.

  • David Mosier

I lived in the hill for 54 years been coming to kroger with mom and dad may they rest in peace don't know why but still here and still shop at kroger love the prices and the workers just like family?

  • Lonnie Lagle

This Kroger is so dirty, I had meat on my list but no way was I going to get something handle by this store. I also make sure everything is sealed. But the lady that helped me at checkout was great

  • David Massey

Great little store. Was just visiting from out of state and thought it had a lot of stuff I liked. Pretty clean. Bad time of year but the fruit selection was limited. Lots of vegetables though.

  • Jimmy Jones

Great employees, but store is in need of remodel or maybe just a Real Good Cleaning Service in bakery was 5 star , just the appearance inside store! I would still go there if i had too!✌ …

  • Albert Castles

Easy in and out. I would like them to think about opening 24 hours though. Between First sleep and Second sleep is a nice window to grab a few items and perks you been wanting but don't have.

  • V

Around 10:45 a.m., I'd placed a big order for pickup in the evening and when I arrived everything was hot and all ready. I want you to know that I appreciate your time and great service ❤️

  • Shey Schuster

I love getting my hair cut at the great clips there. The pet store has quality items. Little Caesar's pizza has great pizza & Kroger is always stocked as well as having awesome employees.

  • Ashley Santiago

The fries were cold, service was slow, drink station needed cleaning, and my husband said the men's bathroom was horrible. No trash can, smelled bad and not clean. But the play place good

  • Peggy Sam Boyd

Great place to get everything done at once. They have Kroger's , Radio Shack( LoL, to price for me) a place to get your taxes done. Dollar Tree and my favorite is Marwood Low Cost...

  • steven forbes

Decent store. Just don't like getting followed and looked at like I'm stealing everytime I go shopping there, could have better customer service, but you win some and Lose some.

  • James Smith

Used to be a good center until the changed ownership. The maintenance crew was very good before but now it's always dirty and unkempt. Go back to whoever was cleaning it before!

  • Sheila Miller

This Kroger is horrible. Always out of things. Dirty, unorganized. And the staff don't help at all and know nothing about anything. Rude rude employees horrible Kroger horrible

  • Christina DiGuilio

I hate that when you go to shop between 7am and 8 am and you have an extremely full cart, and they force you to go thru Uscan, and will not open a register to check you out.

  • Natacha Lambert

The staff was rude and insinuated that I was lying about being marked differently than what it was ringing up. They refused to go back to check. I'll never go there again.

  • Kasey Hodges

Not my favorite Kroger. Very picked through and out of commonly stocked items. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but this wouldn't be my first pick for groceries.

  • Joshua Dukate

Great Kroger, awesome selection of ice cream. There is a spice rack that has just about any spice you could need I love those home look additions inside stores.

  • Erika Moorman

They never have much on the shelf and their meat selection is trash! If you like to get followed around by cops this is the store for you tho ‍♀️ …

  • Ann a

Ate at el patio. Ordered the Wet burrito. It was yummy and so was the free chips and salsa mmmmmm. Horchata was okay..not that great. Very friendly service.

  • Sylvia Moore

We live close to this location. For the most part the pizza and breads are good. Every now and then the front service is not good. Will patron there again

  • Sonia Andrews

Sometimes their food it spoils fast and may because they leave it out before it gets put in the proper places like milk and other products such as produce

  • Eva Stanfield-Ince

Convenient location. Not open 24 hrs. Limited selection. Mall now has a laundromat and tanning. And a new Buyer Market that is interesting to check out.

  • James Lough

Very very rude people, so rude I left my cart of over $100 at the register and walked out. I will not shop this store again and will never recommend it.

  • Virginia Morgan

This is where I pick up my scripts and buy most of my groceries. They have been out of my favorite cookies for over a month now. I need my cookie fix!

  • Amy Blevins

My new store since we moved here now just gotta figure out there whole coupon and gas points and how they feel about coupons because I love my coupons

  • Tommy Parsons

Awesome Pastor, one of the best I ever listened to. People are so kind and polite, a great greeter at the door. Spirit filled and community based...

  • Cassandra VeHorn (Cassie)

Not alot of product, food, etc..in stock or stocked. Not very clean, and always long lines. I asked about all this and they say their short staffed.

  • Larry Smith

Largest Kroger store I've seen catering to all ages not just the Boomers. Lots of Handicapped accesses. Pharmacy orderly even with lengthy lines.

  • Monika Bardell

Good place to shop once you figured out that Kroger , Dollar General and Walgreens are on different levels. They all have separated parking lots.

  • Stephanie Cook

Went to the dollar General. The aisle was hard to get down, I think it must have been truck day. They have a lot of home decor for good price.

  • Annetta CooneyArmstrong

Pet Value is there now. Great place. Owners Give dogs bathes and dry. Pet supply , toys and more. Couple animal in cages to adopt.. And more.

  • Sara Scott

Kroger was cleaned out on a lot of the things that I needed however, the checkout was fast, there wasn't long lines and staff was friendly..

  • Julie Long

This kroger looked like a safeway inside and their prices was way different then my kroger. There milk was like $3.50. I would not shop here

  • Jeannie

Usually clean, workers are nice, now if only all the people would stop making it their hang out. But that's not really the buisness fault.

  • Karen Hill

It's still just as crowded as always! It looks like they clean and disinfect the carts too! The deli food is delicious! Thank you Kroger!

  • Ashley Russell

Lots of businesses Ina nice central location. You can do your banking, get your nails done and grocery shop lots more at Marwood plaza.

  • Paula Derrick

I visit the Marwood Plaza Kroger a lot and their selection of food has went downhill. Sometimes there is not much of anything in there.

  • Margaret McKinney

My steak was burnt, and one of my granddaughters, had onions and peppers in after me telling them just chicken and cheese on her Nachos.

  • Robin Roland

A true ghetto Kroger. Worth the trip to experience an authentic Hoosier culture. Out of anything on sale. Floor is like vintage Bagdad

  • Melissa Haynes

No food in stock I feel sorry for the employees because they aren't to blame for the government's making sure food insit there for all

  • Boogie B

This plaza just continues to go down hill along with the grocery store. The only thing left good over there is the Chinese restaurant

  • Mirtala Cooley

The pharmacy here is great and that's about it. Selection is low. Supposedly fresh food is always rotten or bad. Just don't go here.
