We are in the fortunate position of having a number of wonder schools on our local area. After doing our research & visiting our shortlisted schools, we chose Mater Dei - what a fantastic choice it has been! Mater Dei not only provides an excellent academic program but has an amazing community spirit. The staff genuinely care for your child & family. No child is a “number” at Mater Dei. There is a conscious effort made by the whole staff body to learn each child’s name. Teaching staff go above & beyond to cater of individual children’s needs & create engaging learning environments that make the classroom a wonderful space to be. The parents are welcoming & its a place where lifelong friendships are established. The school is very well resourced & the children have every opportunity to extend their learning, regardless of their area of interest. They are supported & given confidence to grow & be themselves. After two years at the school, we are yet to have a day when our child doesn’t want to go to school - that in itself speaks volumes!

Absolutely recommend this School. At Mater Dei Primary School the focus is not just on academics but on the whole child with a holistic approach taken to learning. The teachers help to ensure the children grow socially with an emphasis on kindness and caring. The school has a wonderful community feel and whilst being off waterworks road provides a natural sanctuary and environment for the children to grow and learn in. It is very convenient coming from Upper Kedron as it is directly on the path to the CBD. The approach to teaching is progressive and I love how the school offers flexible learning spaces. My two boys love this school! and the teachers.

Arriving from interstate with 3 children was overwhelming. Thank goodness we were lucky enough to find this gorgeous school that offered such a welcoming, caring environment. Our boys are so happy and we have made lifelong friends here!!! So much on offer to challenge our children and to engage their imagination including a great arts program (including speech and drama), music, sport and academic excellence. A wonderful staff who genuinely care and great friends!

Mater Dei is a wonderful school. Our Preppie is extremely happy and is thriving - we couldn’t be happier with our decision. The teachers are caring and passionate, creating a nurturing learning environment. There is strong sense of community and starting school been a wonderful experience for our family. We are looking forward to his sibling starting in a few years.

This school has a tremendous school community. Sam came to Mater Dei in year 3; He, my wife and I have been warmly welcomed by teachers, his peers and parents of the school.
