"Very nice open park with several bodies of water which makes it very picturesque"
"The park is big and there is a lake if you love ducks and swans"
Huge park with two lakes, North Lake and South Lake, ducks, swans. Note that feeding of the ducks, Swans is not permitted. Fishing is also not permitted in the lakes and are monitored by the council. The Mayes brook weaves it's way through the park. Lovely for long walks particularly through the woodland area. A favourite with runners and people taking their dogs for walks as well. Plenty of benches, children's playground with swings, roundabout, climbing rope frames. The council run leisure centre in the park has a gym over 3 floors trampoline park, badminton courts, skateboarding facilities, rock climbing - for members or can pay for single visit. There is also an Adidas weather proof outdoor gym installed as part of London 2012 Olympics, this is free to use. Great for riding bikes with kids, picnics. Sunday league football for kids every Sunday morning. Have seen kiteflying. There is also a canoe club each Saturday morning. There are also tracks in wooded areas to go for walks, which kids particularly enjoy. There are no toilets in the park, or anywhere to buy a coffee etc. However, on The Drive, there is a corner shop to buy drinks, ice creams etc. Please please take your litter, empty drink bottles/cans with you or discard in one of the many black litter bins dotted around the park.
What a fantastic open space. lakes birds out door gym nice and flat in parts great for jogging dog walking and running couple of inclines some stairs if you want to do a rocky if you did that new years be a better me thing or not great place to take in fresh air it is pretty tranquil and there are lots of natural features for the kids to discover small childrens enclosed activities climbing frames zip wire and a very good selection of flora and fauna from around the world well mancures grass areas wth picnic benches and if your elderly metal benchs spaced at respectable intervals if you require a breather. Big activity facilitys/CENTER that caters for you physical and mental well beind climbing walls gym loads to do . This is really a very well presented and thoughtfully laid out open space the residences of barking and daganham and the surrounding boroughs are privileged to have such a place on there doir steps remember the seed and grain for the birds and nuts for the squirrels and most importantly enjoy your visit Peace love harmony happy thoughts
The park itself is beautiful and nicely looked after. The people are as usual, not caring enough: feeding the birds bread -going against the advice posted visibly on a few places around the park, rubish left behind (from worn masks to alcohol bottles and cans), dogs off the leash with many owners not picking their poop, romanians leaving sunflower kernels all around the benches, people doing recreational drugs, listening to loud music or talking loudly. If nature wouldn't be so beautiful, you'd feel upset by how people behave
Very nice open park with several bodies of water which makes it very picturesque. If you have dogs I'd recommend not letting them swim in the large ponds but there is a running stream that is very clear!
Dog-friendliness
Most dogs in this park are friendly and the most owners will let you know if that's not the case! As an owner of a bigger mastiff breed I'd like to ask that if your dog is off the lead please don't let them approach bigger dogs without the owners consent
The park is big and there is a lake if you love ducks and swans. It has a children's play area. The gym that was installed during the 2012 Olympics is a little rundown and the basketball court has just one hoop left. If you want to go for a run its prefect. I usually go for a walk or on my way to the gym which is within the park. Honey underground station is about 5-10 minutes walk from the park depending which way you are coming in. The park has 6 exit/entry gates.
A beautiful park with plenty of benches that you can sit, read and relax, without being bothered. Theres a number of areas for you to feed the ducks and swans. A great place for a picnic, with a large enclosed play area for small children and an outdoor gym. I go for bike rides and walks and have always found it to be a clean park, where dog owners clean up after their pets. Plenty of car parking space too. All in all definitely worth a visit
A large green space with full fledge stadium, a gym and Trampoline Park! Two lakes and one of them is used for canoeing during the summer time. There are many entry points through various corner of the park. There are two visitors Car Parks at Longbridge Road. Grass are maintained regularly and this place is very popular among the locals and afar! Often, this park is being used as a shortcut between Longbridge Road and Upney Lane.
Very peaceful and relaxing vibes.
Playground
There is a cricket and football field.
Restrooms
There are no restrooms apart from the ones in the leisure centre and the ones in the cricket club and stadium, but the entry may be restricted.
Dog-friendliness
There are lots of dog walkers. It's pretty safe.
Picnic area
There are lots of picnic spot to sit and relax.
Mayesbook is a very lovely park, even in winter. There is a large play park and most of the park paths are designed for accessibility. However bare in mind that there are no public toilets and B&D council are trying to encourage people not to feed the ducks as this encourages rats. Overall a very beautiful park!
It's a beautiful relaxing park, some where to go if kids get board, there is a play area and a gym, lots of green space for them to kick around with the ball, or if you need some quite time to your self as I call it "ME TIME". Grate space to go for a walk or run. 16 April 2022 there was a funfair at the park.
Nice park with lots of open spaces. Has 2 large lakes. Nice place for walks and lazing around and plenty of space of kids to run about and ride bikes. There is a small car park accessible from Lodge Avenue, can get full at busy times. Close to Upney and Dagenham and a short drive off the A13.
Nice park with pond and plenty of benches so you can enjoy the green space. I think waste was being burnt whilst I was there as there was a nasty chemical smell so I left sooner than I would have liked but without that annoyance, it seems a nice place to while away an hour or so.
I growen up in Dagenham and Mayesbrook park used to be almost like an apocalyptic wastland. How things have changed, with some investment nature has made its way back to this park, it has fantastic waterways and lacks as well as extensive wooded areas.
It took a lockdown to appreciate my local park and now I visit it as often as the weather permits. Around this time of year, you can see baby geese. There's a children's play area, 2 lakes and quite a bit of open grass area for picnics.
An ok park, 2 lakes towards the south end with “Mayes Brook” after which the park is named, running down the western perimeter. Also contains a sports centre and free to use gym style machinery towards the centre of the park.
It's a beautiful place, it's a big area, people are cycling around, there's a small place for kids to play, a lot of clean and boats maybe it would have been better, a beautiful parks and and available free parking ♥️
Lovely green space and peaceful. It needs some more maintenance but it is really good. You can go for walking, jogging or cycling. There is a small pond and lot of birds come here. Just go and relax on a warm day.
The trampoline space is huge and fun with lots of entertainment for everyone We were there for a child friend's birthday. The staff is friendly, the party room was huge and clean just the food included
Mayesbrook used to be really nice but it appears to have been neglected over thepast few years. The kids' play area is so basic. However, if you fancy a walk through little forests, you'll love it.
This place is the best place to spend your picnic. You have a lake and some ducks to feed them. You have a lake for fishing, skateboard park, climbing park, trampoline park and other activities.
Beautiful park, you wouldn't believe it's Dagenham. Better than central London parks in my opinion. Good for peace of mind, mental health. Lot of dog owners visit, not my preference but yeah.
This place is amazing if you go in non-peak hours. Visited on a weekday when kids are at school which meant it was super quiet and enjoyable. I would go on a weekend, it's crazy busy!
Good big park, very well maintained. The lake view is very beautiful. There are occasional fairs, play area for kids, open gym and a good long walk area with so much greenery around.
Each day my dreams fly among the treetops of the park and learn how to sing as with the beauty of the birds. If you ever trynna link someone call em here …
Lots of wide open space, beautiful lake..never seen so many birds!! My dogs love it lots of shrubs trees places to sniff and explore. Also has an outdoors gym!
Very beautiful park with lakes, greenery, benches, play park, forest and lovely views. Honestly nice for a walk or to catch some sun. I hate the flies though
Good park for walking or taking your dog for a walk. This park has a car park also a children's playground. There is also a lake and a large playing field.
A neat and spacious park accessible for all around Barking and Upney, it's well maintained with free workout area and a medium sized children play area.
Nice country park with duck pond. Canoe lake. Play park. exercise gym. and a building that does skateboarding trampolining and wall climbing
Is a very good park with everything that u want. It has has a really beautiful view and a lot of nice people! I think you should visit it!!
Amazing location for photos and content and amazing place to just have a walk in highly recommended for those that are local to Dagenham
Good park with many green areas and also many facilities for different sports like athletics, basketball, gym, and many more. More
Beautiful park but the space could be used a bit better. Maybe a lovely cafe would be nice and an improved play area for the kids
I walk my dog here every day. There is a lovely playground for little ones. A free outdoor gym, a legacy from the 2012 Olympics.
The place is open at just before sunrise. And ❤️ look at these pictures. Sunrise from the park is incredible.
Nice big park with couple of lakes, and lots of lots of birds. Great playground for kids and a well equiped outdoor gym
Not a huge park, has a nice little pond. Ducks, geese, the occasional Swan or two and an abundance of Egyptian geese.
It's a nice park to take a stroll in! Although it is quite boring in the gloom. But you can get some amazing photos.
Overall pretty beautiful park, although plenty of goose and duck poop in many places far away from the lakes.
nice place to walk, cycling and play. dedicated area for kids and exercise. cover barking and dagenham area.
Good experience play area outdoor gym and pet friendly only downside I think is that there is no restrooms
Amazing. Went in winter but still amazing. Renovation work is going on. May be they will finish by summer
Lush green fields, water lake, kids play area and the best thing is free parking.
Playground…

Very good park, the only issue is people letting dogs loose instead of being on leashes as recommended
Huge park, great for a walk with kids and dogs. So many ducks and swans with many lakes big and small.
