"First time I walked here was January 18th"
"Very nice park"
"excellent area, however make sure you’re not alone walking if you plan on going onto some of the more isolated trails"
"I really like McAlpine Creek Greenway for the walking that i try to do three times a week"
"About four miles long"
First time I walked here was January 18th. I was killing sometime getting something done to my car. There were not to many people walking on the trail which was kinda nice. I will probably comeback and check it out one day when it is warmer and explore some more.I walked the section off Monroe road up to Sardis
Very nice park. I didn't get to see everything. What I did see was an hour about it. Love the trails. Everything was nice and clean. The parking was very easy to park. They have a lot of different trails.i really don't have any negative things to say about this park. More
excellent area, however make sure you’re not alone walking if you plan on going onto some of the more isolated trails. try to make sure you’re always accompanied by at least one person or a dog, as some of the areas can get shady. overall, it’s very beautiful and scenic
I really like McAlpine Creek Greenway for the walking that i try to do three times a week. If you walk from the Sardis Road parking lot alll the way around and back, you will walk 5.5 miles which is just right for this old bird. Almost the
About four miles long. Paved, easy to walk, run, bike. Dog friendly. There is plenty of wildlife to see. Mostly deer, rabbits, birds, and an occasional rat snake. Don't let this dissuade you, though. It's a great greenway with plenty to
I only have good things to say about this Greenway, it has nice flat paved walking and biking and then you get to a beautiful park with a pond and ducks and fishing options. There is also a stage and areas to cookout. Then the Greenway
Great trail. Easy to walk or ride a bike. If walking, probably don't plan to do it all in one day; very long. From the McAlpine Creek entry there is also a huge dog park, cross country trail, and a fishing pond. If you plan to fish,
This place was great! I wanted to get back into hiking and working out my pups but I needed something easy. This was definitely what I would call easy. The main path is straight and even and then there are multiple paths to other
This is my favorite hiking path in the area. Several paths grow from the main one with differing levels of difficulty. Both parks that connect to the greenway are open and welcoming spaces. Definitely recommend.
This greenway connects with others to make a 13 mole round trip. Great for bike rides, jogging and walking. There are water fountains at a few of the trailhead parking lots to refill your water bottle.
This entry into McAlpine Creek Greenway has parking for 20 cars. It is a good place to start a walk or run on the Greenway. It has one poke' stop. It does have good wheelchair access.
Beautiful and safe place to walk, run, or ride your bike. Really good area of Charlotte. I frequest the trail and never see any issues. Very nice for some exercise or to just relax.
Possibly the best rollerskiing path in NC. There was just one underpass where stormwater had deposited muddy debris across the trail, but that's a good test of agility. …
Nice trail. Gets busy on weekends when weather is nice. Need a few more trash cans along the way. People litter less if you provide a place to deposit their garbage.
Very nice and green trail with lots of natural feeling. You will feel that you are in middle of jungle. If yo are lucky you might see deer while on trail. More
Nice walking trail with good bathrooms and several rangers. There were many croaking frogs in the wetlands this late February but we couldn't see any of them.
Lots of wide, paved Trailway, with branches of packed gravel. One very wooded offshoot goes to Boyce Park. Lengthy trail with very little elevation change.
Nice walking and biking path for the whole family. A small pond, picnic benches, fresh water for the pets and best of all.... it's clean and never crowded.
lovely place honestly a great morning walk place, got lost for a bit but i didnt mind it and we had to go back at some point so i cant wait to be back
It has trails for running or walking that goes through the woods. I call it nature trails. It also has paved trails for biking around 8 miles. Nice
Very nice trail for longboarding and biking as it is paved and well maintained. It leads to a big park with opportunities to enjoy more activities.
The trails are a combination of pavement, dirt and gravel. Routes are clearly defined with markers. Nice, relaxing place to run, walk, and bike.
Great place if you live in the neighborhood. Only parking for 2-4 cars so wouldn't recommend if you want to drive here to start your hike.
Busy little nature area... One of the spots in the Greenway I haven't visited or heard much about!! Going back soon... More
This is a very pleasant greenway. The trail is quite flat, which I like. The recent renovations have made it even nicer.
Beautiful paved trail through some gorgeous views. Started longboarding there and it was absolutely spectacular. More
The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because it's not really safe after dark. Very well maintained.
Nice bike ride. Wish it was longer or tied into another trail
