Wanted a quick breakfast coffee on my way to an appt, and decided to stop at MacDonalds at Richmond. Service was poor, decided as rhe drive through appeared really busy that i would go inside it would be quicker...that was my first mistake. After placing my order via their menu system, I chose the option to pay at the counter (2nd mistake)., then stood near the counter waiting, a customer service person came out and spoke with the woman in before me, then I stood there for a further 10 minutes no one came out to serve again, eventually another customer came in and he was attended to pretty much straight away, I continued to wait in kine when the customer asked if I had been served, at which point I directed my response to the server "No, I had not been served". I then had an opportunity to be served and was told my order had not been placed as I hadn't paid, I said to her but no one has been out to counter to serve so how could I pay, I continued to ask how long would my order be if I waited to shixh she said "oh, probably 5 or so minutes depending on where i was in the queue. I asked if there was anything she could do to speed the process, to which she replied "umm no, sorry we are busy you will have to wait".....Well I guess the fact I had now waited a total of 15 minutes counted for nothing. It's about time, MacDonalds, took a leaf out of the USA and employ the older generation that:- 1. Want to be there 2. Care about the customer 3. Give good customer service. I asked to speak to the manager, and the young lad who said he was the manager saidhe could only apologise for the inconvenience as he had no idea why a server didn't come to the front of house. There was no offer of trying to rush an order or if i would like a voucher. To come at another time. Just a "sorry, I don't know why." Today, it's all about pushing the customers through the door, spending as little as you can on customer service by employing very young people, or not enough staff. Even if you are using the drive-through, they are shutting the door on your face as they have already taken your money and have no further reason to engage with you. Very disappointing.

Wouldn’t go here even if my first borns life depended on it. Staff are rude, not helpful and the one on order taking needs to be retrained. Got a mobile order for the convenience of being quick and as I got to the window I was asked to repeat my order, after saying it was a few breakfast items and a double cheeseburger he proceeds to pull up an order that’s not mine, it was one burger when I said I had multiple burgers. He then proceeded to let me know because it was a mobile order I didn’t need to confirm the order and it’s done anyway. Which is confusing because he wanted me to confirm it before. I had a problem with a missing item when I received the food and was argued back by the staff and a manager. Disgusting customer service, would advise extra training for all.

I cannot believe how rude the staff are here. I waited in the drive thru for 12 mins before even getting served. No apologies - nothing. What is the point of ordering on the app and getting a code when none of the staff can even understand you when you literally say 2 letters and 2 numbers in perfect English over and over again? No eye contact, they completely ignore you, don’t talk to you, don’t confirm anything with you - just rudely shove the food in your face whilst giving you side eye. Disgusting. McDonalds used to be know for its customer service and comprehensive training programme but this obviously doesn’t exist anymore. This is my experience at most McDonalds these days but Melrose Park is one of the worst. Very disappointing.

Some may say if they could give a 0 they would. But I think a 1 star accurately reflects the type of experience I had at this McDonalds. First off I have to give it to them, they have a clean bathroom. Props. But I ordered 2 orders of Big Mac sauce, one to go with my burgers, the others for my fries. Little did I know I was going to get a cup filled 1/10th of the way as if they scquirted some sort of paste into each of my cups. That wasn't even the worst thing about the situation. There was this oozing orange old cheese looking thing coming out of each of the cups of big Mac sauce. And yes I do have photograph evidence. Safe to say I will not be ordering big mac sauce here again. I'll probably use the bathroom tho. (I would love to receive a gift card for the incident tho maccas)

As McDonald's go, I have never been a fan, but today it was my friend's choice. I was pleasantly surprised. This store was clean, tidy and run efficiently by friendly young people. We ordered simple toasted sandwiches and coffees. Service to the table was good and the food was tasty. The only thing that really turned me off was eating out of paper bags and drinking from takeaway cups. I probably won't frequent the franchise, but now and again I will feel more confident to give it a chance if they are as good as this one.

There is no quicker way for a company to show they have no regard for their customers than to not allow people to view items on the menu. The drive-through menu only shows about 10% of items available and drive-through staff are not compliant and willing to assist when asked to verbally communicate items. Customers can also not view prices for most items. This makes the drive-through system time-consuming which is counterproductive. It is also infuriating for customers who simply wish to see what is available to order.

Staff extremely rude, especially the person on the window on the 4/9. I don’t think that individual completed their customer service course. Passive aggression and talking to a customer like they haven’t graduated school is not a way to treat someone. Extremely disappointed with the way the staff handled the situation. Poor effort. No wonder there is a sign for hiring out he front. I suggest you replace that individual because their main motive seems to get in get out with no passion or are for food safety and the overall McDonald’s moral.

It's shocking to me the amount of young people employed here and other McDonalds stores that simply can not converse with their customers. They come and put your food on the table without eye contact, speaking or any other hospitality-like pleasantries. Is there no training in customer service anymore? After 25+ years working in hospitality myself, I wonder about the future of the industry when this generation can't actually speak to real people in their communities.

They couldn't even make my food because they said their equipment was broken, then made be walk in the store from the drive-thru to get my refund. Once inside, it turns out they just had the machines turned off and didn't feel like turning them on to do some actual cooking because it was late. This is not my first horrendous experience at this location. I think I'd rather starve than patronize this place again.

There was a child screaming so loudly in the playground that other children (including my two grandkids, aged 4 and 5) were asking to come back inside. Nobody appeared to be doing anything to make the outdoor more comfortable, such as finding the child's caregiver or finding it if the child was distressed. The one thing I truly appreciate about McDonald's is that it has a [usually] safe, enclosed playground.

Was in a urgent hurry for work, needed a coffee and quick bite. So I ordered my coffee and two hamburgers. Waited so long and wasn't many customers, I got my coffee but when I was told to park up and wait for my 2 little tiny hamburgers to be ready I just ended up leaving (lucky it only cost me $4 loss. Shouldn't take 10 minutes to cook. What a joke, also in the past they have forgotten my vanilla syrup for my coffees. Com'on guys pick your game up.

The girl who took the drive through order was lovely. Unfortunately the rest of the experience was poor. Wrong drinks were presented to us at the window, then when they were corrected they had cream on the outside bottom of the cup. When we got the burger out of the bag it was obviously assembled in a rushed and sloppy way, an oversized lettuce hanging out and tomatoes and the sauce dribbling out the back and sides. It was lukewarm at best.

Was stopping by for a quick and easy dinner. As a maccas worker myself it's great to see the spirit of other maccas workers when a staff discount comes through. Like a bond that goes global. Guy who handed us our food in the waiting bay was very casual and charismatic. Good to see a kind spirit out there!

Employee's seemed confused and disoriented. Sauce containers were filled a tenth of way, this seems to be a recurring problem at this store when they manage to remember to put the sauce in the bag. I recommend checking your bag before you leave, very dissapointing.

If I could have given 0 stars I would have. When your child orders a salad you don't expect to find a live beetle crawling around in it. Especially not when you have been parked for 10 minutes and have to go in to complain to get your food anyway. Then when the manager is standing there smirking at you! Not on!
