I rented a car for three days, returned on 11/13 the guy at the rental place inspected and cleared me out, 5 days later I see in my credit card charge for $150 for a damage and $77 for toll fee, I called the off, a lady named Jay didn’t see any damages in the car and said to call the next day, next day the guy at customer service said the front light in the drivers side was broken and had a dent, he said he will send us pictures of it through email that I never received, I’ve been calling back to speak to someone about no one seems to know anything, I returned the car at 5:30am but they put on the statement at 6:23am, I feel that this company is doing fraud on me and I’m being charged for something I didn’t do, I only drove the car to my destination and was parked at a residential driveway the whole time, the car was inspected upon return and the guy stated everything was fine, I drive commercial, that’s the first thing I do inspect a vehicle before and after, a headlight is very noticeable that’s the first thing anyone would see, as far as the toll, I toll them when I picked up the car where I was going they were very unhelpful as far as explaining in they had a tolls the guy at customer service said he did know and didn’t bother to ask, I’m very disappointed with this company about going in my credit card 4 days later without asking me or notifying me and also for lying about the time the return was done; I want this fees to be void because I was unfairly charged for something I didn’t do, plus the couldn’t even send pictures to back up what they’re saying, I do not recommend this rental place to anyone!"

Upon arrival on Wednesday, 7/26, I was stunned by the location's appearance. The establishment is approximately 1-2 miles from the airport and looks like an old, used car lot. That was the first red flag and I should have gone with my inclination of returning back to the airport to another establishment. Secondly, they had a compact-sized car ready and waiting for us. When I mentioned it, I was told that that is what I reserved and was showing in the system. I immediately retrieved my confirmation email to show that I reserved a mid-sized car. We were charged an additional $15/day for a Toyota Camry which, by definition, is a midsized car, but they deemed as a full size. After a lengthy and hot check-in process, the tire service light was on in the first Camry that was issued. We were told that the tire had just been replaced and he would get someone to reset the system. We requested a different car and was accommodated. I asked for the registration paperwork and he said that it was emailed to me. I questioned what to do if I, for some reason, should need it and he said to refer to the email and not to speak negatively. Before leaving I specifically asked if someone would be available to receive the car and transport us back to the airport when returned because we had an early flight. We were assured that someone would be there. In fact, the gentleman said he would most likely be there because he's the manager and is always there. Unfortunately, that wasn't true. On Monday, 7/31, from approximately 5:20 a.m. until we arrived, I called three times and left messages to ensure someone would be there. When we arrived around 5:55 a.m. another couple were sitting inside their car outside the locked gate. They had been waiting since 5:30 a.m. and, like me, had repeatedly called with no answer. After about 20 minutes, we left and proceeded to long-term parking so not to miss our flight. Once again, I called and left a message stating where the car was located and why we had no other option, but to leave. By then I had already checked the website to see that they were supposed to open at 5:30 a.m. Around 7:20 a.m. I called again and a female answered the phone who said they had just arrived at 7:00 a.m. I told her where the car was and that I was about to board the plane. She assured me they would retrieve the car and leave me a message to confirm once they did. Fast forward to about 10:40 a.m., I called, yet AGAIN, because I had not received a voicemail. At that time they STILL had not retrieved the car. Once again, she said that she would call to confirm. It is now Wednesday, 8/2/23 at 11:30 a.m. and I have yet to receive a call back or voicemail from them. Take my advice to avoid the hassle: book from a reputable agency where you will receive professional, courteous and reliable service.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Classic bait and switch rental car company who doesn't accept any insurance and has the most unethical business practices I've seen. 1) Even if you have insurance, be prepared to pay for theirs. I presented them not 1 but 2 insurance policies that display rental car coverage. They use a mobile verification system that did not automatically connect to my Farmers Insurance policy. It showed a manual upload option, which I provided. When the employee got my policy, he didn't even open it and just goes "yeah, if it doesn't auto-approve, I can't accept it". I then tell him I have another insurance policy through American Express which literally every rental car company for the last 10 years I've rented with has accepted. Again, because their flawed system doesn't have an option for an auto-upload, he claims it doesn't work. He then proceeds to present no actual solution other than to pay $140 more for their insurance because of an error in their system. I have insurance. It's been accepted at every rental car company I've ever booked with. This is just plain fraud and preying on people who have no option once they get to the rental car facility. #2 - Rude and unprofessional staff: When I was picked up by the shuttle, I was asked by an employee who called my phone to pass my phone to the driver so he could talk to him. Sorry, but why on earth are you calling customers to pass their phone to an employee? Additionally, when I tried explaining that both of my policies provided me rental coverage, the employee proceeded to just show me his computer screen (which showed my policies) and present no sort of resourceful solution. He was essentially waiting for me to just cave and pay the $140 extra. #3 - As mentioned by others, if you have any sort of early flight, good luck. This place is not on the Airport grounds meaning you have to drop it off early and either walk the 25 minutes into the airport on dangerous roads or get an uber, costing you even more money. I would give this place negative stars if I could.

I would give only 1 star as I encountered the same problem many others did. I initially reserved the car on Kayak for around $25/day. Two days before we got an email cancelling the reservation (I didn't see it as it went to my spam folder). So we arrived in Charleston NC with them saying we had no reservation. We checked other rental companies and no-one had any cars available. Other than SIXT. And they wanted $250 per freaking day. We called Mega (Economy) back and they said they had a cancellation but they would need to charge $75 / day now. We had no choice but to take it. I would have given 1 star but for the excellent young man at Mega - he was professional, kind, and really did his best - and made some accommodations to help us out. Mega Cudos to him. (I can't remember his name - he was likely in his 20s, dark curly hair, I say this so his employer will hopefully see this and give him the appreciation he deserves. He is the only reason I am giving 3 stars). Its very strange. I've rented cars everywhere from Brazil to Jordan. Charlotte can be the most expensive place to rent a car on the planet. Mega clearly cancelled our reservation because demand was high and they could rent the car for more than they agreed to via Kayak. Its unethical, but it seems all the rental companies massively increase their rates at CLT depending on volume. The car was very nice though. Other people have complained about the shuttle. We had no problem at 7am. Be aware they are not open 24 hours. They're only a few minutes from the airport though so an Uber wouldn't be a problem.

I wasn't going to leave a review at all, but since they asked, I will. Days before my trip, I called to confirm that the shuttle would be available to pick us up at the airport. I was told that it would. When we arrived at the pick up location indicated on the instructions, I began calling the number provided. I called repeatedly for 45 minutes with no answer. We finally decided to take $30 cab ride, which they refused to reimburse. I was told at the time of arrival that their 2nd phone line was "down." According to MANY other reviews, this is very common with this place. We then discussed insurance, toll passes, which I accepted because it would cover ALL costs if there was any damage. They finally got paperwork done and billed my card almost $600. The car was fine. I was told upon my return that there was a small "scratch" on the plastic trim below rear passenger door, which I didn't even know was there. No problem, I thought, as I bought their outrageous insurance. Nope. They billed me $150 for "minor" damage. I was told their insurance provider would be in contact with me. I'm still waiting..... I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Terrible company, avoid renting from here at all cost. They quoted me a price that was 50% less than what they charged me. They promised to reimburse, but never did even after follow ups. They charge $500 for a security deposit that they intend to keep no matter what. They provided me a car with a missing hub cap. I returned the car in the exact condition it was provided to me. I confirmed there would be no charges for cleaning or damages. I emailed and called several times to try to get my deposit back. Each time I was told a different story. Either they were sending it shortly due to a system issue, or there was an improper damage claim on the account. Every time was a different answer. They provided the "manager's" number to reach out to, but they continually ignored my calls and never once followed up. I even went back into the physical building and they continued to spin me a different story. Its been 5 months and I've given up on getting my deposit back. This company is either the most incompetent rental car company in the business, or downright unethical. I am leaning towards the latter

BE AWARE!!! First nobody told me I had to call for pick up at the airport. After I called, thanks to an airport worker, everything else went smoothly. Until I had an issue, a car hit my rental car on the back trunk and I called Mega MC to let them know what happened and told them that I had the name of the person with her phone number and that the plate number will be given once we could be in a better place for the photo and they said that was enough. I complied providing the information. It wasn’t my fault and ended paying $695.70 because besides of staying with the deposit ($250.00), which I agreed after they explained to me that I didn’t delivered it at it was, I understood, but then It ended to be $500.00 for a deductible not being my fault!! No way!! Have to admit that the employees that received the car were very nice. But Won’t deal again with Mega MC $695.70 for 4 days from my part and will have the benefit of the insurance of the other part also Note: Changed my review after I posted the above review Mega MC Car rental reimbursed $250.00. Thank you!

Honestly, I was apprehensive when I walked into this place. It felt disorganized, and the car I was meant to rent, they didn’t have the keys for. They upgraded me to a SUV at no extra cost, which was great! But the SUV‘s check engine light was on, and when I asked why it was on, no one could give me more information beyond "it‘s just a mechanical error, but it’s fine." The pickup and drop off was straightforward and easy, but their fees/deposits are difficult to understand. The day after I dropped the car off, they refunded me the entire amount of the rental car, and even sent me an email saying it would be refunded for that amount. Then a couple days later they are trying to charge the rental amount. This is messing up my bank account charges and now my bank account is overdrawn because of them and their discrepancies. In other reviews, I have read that additional charges for "damages" will come up weeks down the road, which I am nervous about. My review really is a mixed bag. They‘re confusing and disorganized.

Booking was a breeze, dropoff was even easier. A few notes for those considering this business: —> This is also an Economy franchisee. I almost drove right past them (even though they have a big glowing sign that says “MEGA MC CAR RENTAL.” ) —> I was rented a 2022 Toyota Corolla, practically brand new, with plenty of driver assistance features like DRCC (Dynamic Radar Cruise Control) and Lane Departure Avoidance (& Correction). The car was small, but had I chosen another class they had enough selection to satisfy that need too. —> They offer shuttle service from (and to?) the airport. —> No debit cards are accepted… but my prepaid Chime credit builder card was! $500 deposit, make sure to refill the gas tank (otherwise it’s like $12/gal .) —> $300 fee for smoking in the vehicle… no cigarette is worth that. Just don’t. —> My personal experience with staff was pleasant— they even called me to tell me I left my studio pictures of my wife and I in the car! Thanks!! I hope this review was helpful

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. COMPLETELY UNRELIABLE. I would love to write a review for my rental car experience, but I can't because I NEVER GOT ONE. I have never in my life dealt with a less professional company than this one. I made my reservation for this weekend (July 13-16) on APRIL 22. I received a TEXT MESSAGE, not even a phone call, tonight JULY 12TH (the day before my trip 16 hours before I am supposed to pick up the rental car) that my reservation has been cancelled because they are overbooked and there was a glitch in the system. The message said that I could call back tomorrow morning to speak to a manager (I will be on a plane tomorrow morning on my way there, so I am unable to call). I called immediately upon receipt of the text message and was told there is noone I can speak to and they have no cars. So now, it is 12 hours before I need to leave for the airport, and I have no rental car. The AirBnB I rented is 2 hours each way from the airport, so basically I am out of luck.

I made and paid for my reservation online. The website said with a reservation I would receive a 10% discount on my rental. I go to get the car. They would not honor the discount. Then I was told, since I live in the area they would put a 500.00 hold on the card. This was in addition to the rental. I didn't have a problem with a deposit, nothing about it was mentioned on the website. Not to mention that the staff wasn't the most people friendly group. It was disorganized. And the car itself looked like someone had just dropped it off, without being cleaned first. When I returned it, the young lady was very friendly. Different person. She checked in my rental. I asked when would the hold be taken off of my account. She ask didn't they tell me when I picked up my rental, that it would be 7 to 14 days.........never again. Next time I'll pay the extra and get the service and everything else that's comes with a reputable company.

Unfortunately, running from these people was not a great experience. They had mixed up my order and didn’t have the car ready that I wanted, but after much discussion, they changed that and found the car that I needed. The place was very weird that we went to get the car at it was like a little shack in a Third World country. The man that signed us up kept wanting me to add additional things and I don’t even know how many times I said I don’t need any of that. When we returned the car, it took forever for them to go through it all and look at everything and then they didn’t have an invoice for me and they said they send it in a day or two by email, but I really was uncomfortable, leaving without knowing that they made all the necessary changes to my invoice. I did finally received it yesterday and it was all done but I’ve got to be the next time we fly into Charlotte. I will never use this company again. Sorry.

I rated them 1 star, because there was not option for ZERO stars. I was left without a car at the last minute. I made a reservation 3 days prior to pick up for a van for 8 passengers for an airport p/u (work related). I went to pick such van up, and they told me they didn't have it. They offered me a 6 passenger one... how can I pick up 7 executives in a 6 passenger van? I was FUMING!!! I was told that at that point they hadn't receive the van (which it was supposed to be there 2 days prior to this happening). There were 2 solutions to this: 1- the day before, they should have called the other customer and tell them that van was already rented and they need it right away, or 2- Call me and tell me they didn't have it. It was a DISASTER and HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Give yourself a favor, and avoid the potential headache... go somewhere else.

The experience was excellent, with one small (but frustrating) exception, which was that no shuttle was available to pick me up from the airport when picking up the car, and Mega MC was unable / unwilling to cover the $16 rideshare outlay. (Also, their confirmation email does not provide instructions for shuttle request.) That's far outweighed by the fact that their rates and CDW are lower, so total outlay was still at least $200 less than competitors, for a very good, clean car, with pretty good service. However, their website makes *such* a big deal about how convenient their shuttle service is and how it makes the experience seamless, etc. --- well, not necessarily. But, again, everything else (including the shuttle ride back to the airport when dropping off) was fine. I would definitely rent from them again.

This was the worst experience I have had with a car rental company. I book the car thru expedia I paid up front 202.71. When we got to the airport we call {Economy Mega MC Rent A Car Charlottle} asking if they can send a shuttle, we were waiting at the airport for 2 hours and the shuttle still have not come to pick us up. We end up taking a lyft to the car rental place. [A]when we got there, they said they didn't enter our information in the computer from expedia. They would not take our 3rd party insurance card and charge us a 143.69 for insurance. [c] they charge us again for 202.71 on our credit card so now I have been charge 2 times for the car. If I knew the service was going to be this bad, I would have never gone with this company. trying to save a few dollars. You get what you pay for. Renter beware.

Car was in good condition and had no problems. Booked through Priceline and stated there was a shuttle to and from airport; however, upon arriving at the company to pick up the car, I was informed that their shuttle only ran during business hours. As my flight was late at night, to return the car during business hours would have meant losing hours of my already short vacation. Manager denied responsibility and told me to Uber to airport. Because of the close proximity to the airport, no driver wanted to accept the ride. I waited almost thirty minutes for a driver to even accept the ride. This was a very stressful situation. I will not use this company in the future due to this issue. I would rather pay a couple dollars more for the security of knowing I will have a ride to the airport after returning the car.

I was able to rent a compact for a great price. Overall I’m giving this company 4 stars as the cars were nice and the process of obtaining the car was easy. However the customer service was less than desirable. The attendant who originally helped me was rude and unpleasant. She tried to quote me a much higher price than the original agreement I signed. As I informed her she said “the system was down that day so we can’t give it to you for that low of a price”. I told her to cancel the reservation if they can’t honor the price they gave me, she called management and got it straightened but she promptly explained that I would be downgraded to a compact ( which was fine with me that’s what I originally reserved) Overall the customer service is poor but the product is good. I may use them again in the future.

If I could give a negative rating I would. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT rent from this company. I was given a van that smelled like someone had hotboxed in it. Then I was charged a cleaning fee for "smoking". I spoke with the "manager" 6 times and emailed that many times. He provided a shady picture of a supposed cigarette butt in a car but would not provide the rest of the pictures showing the actual vehicle it was in. We do not smoke and did not smoke. I was told on many occasions he was checking with the location and never called back. I also NEVER received my $500 deposit back. I asked numerous times and I was once told they put it through, they never did. Terrible customer service and shady business practices. So they took a cleaning fee and kept my $500 deposit for something I didn't do.

First Google review complaint here. Terrible service. First car we finally got was not the car we reserved and they up charged us an extra 30$ per day even though the other car was reserved and payed for. The toyota Carolla cross had low tire pressure as soon as we drove it off the lot and was almost flat by mornng. Went in the next morning to switch vehicles and got a camry for which there was no cost reduction even though it is a smaller vehicle. I asked about a discount for our troubles and we were told the manager would call us which he never did. We also never received the contract for the new vehicle until we returned it. Asked about a discount and price increase on return and no one could give us any answers. Stick with the larger rental companies. Save some money and a headache.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE. I would give negative stars if I could. Booked in August with “Economy Rent A Car”, which turns out to be this place, and the MORNING OF our trip in October they cancelled our reservation due to their overbooking. We paid a taxi to get to the place (it is OFFSITE from the airport although never stated during the booking), because they told us they still had cars, just not the one we reserved. Then when we arrive they inflated the cost to double our original reservation and were super rude while refusing to honor our reservation price. Terrible service, staff, and business model. We left and went to ACE Rentals about .6 of a mile down and they were awesome. Don’t waste your time with Mega MC or Economy Rent A Car claiming to be at the Charlotte, NC airport!

Every person I interacted with was incredibly rude and unhelpful. There was only one employee that actually helped me but was a day late after the worst experience. I booked a car rental through Expedia and the reservation was wrong (multiple times on their end) so when I landed alone in Charlotte, I did not have a car. I was told I could rent the most expensive car on the lot as the only option. I then get a call the next day (after finding another rental car at a different place) and she stated my reservation was scheduled for three different times on three different days. Thankfully she helped me with the proof I’m going to need to get a refund from expedia. Please train your staff in customer service, I’ve never experienced such rude people multiple times on different occasions.

**Update: Changing this from one star to three stars because I disputed the charge with my credit card company and Mega MC refunded the money. Renters beware. I rented a car from Mega MC through Expedia. Checked the car back in on Feb 11, 2023, and was told I was good to go. No checkout process, no paperwork, no inspection. Five weeks later they charged my credit card $500 for “damages” without notifying me. I asked them to send the photos and documentation proving these “damages”, and I still have not received anything. It’s been a week. IF you rent from Mega be sure to take your own photos and a video of the car when you check the car out and check it back in. Don’t fall victim to a rental car scam like I did.

Definite wouldn’t rent from here again. On the confirmation email, it was directed to call a specific number for a shuttle to the center but when we arrived and tried calling, there was no answer. I waited an hour before someone picked up the phone and when I finally got on a call, the representative was rude. Picked up the car and every single one was unprofessional and rude. Their website states it’s a convenient and fast service, it’s not. UPDATE: there’s a section for a schedule pick up and drop off. There’s available pick up for early morning. Nope. No one is available to open the business. These people operate when schedule fits them and not to where their business states open availability.

Mega mc rentals is one of the easiest rental company I have been through. And I rent cars frequently over the last 5 years. Book your rental, show necessary documents and make payments. Simple! Emir the employee at this location was awesome! Very friend and helpful! I had a issue with the car I had and he switched it out same day . No problem! Didn't have any hidden fees . Price I paid when reserving the rental is the price I got! When I went to renew rental called the day before and everything was ready to sign when I arrived! Plenty of rental options to choose from. If you need a rental in the Charlotte area they are your guys! Thanks mega rental for serving my family of 4

Car was great and in great condition. When I arrived at the airport I called the number I was given to coordinate a shuttle pickup. I must've called 10-15 times and each time it rang and then directed me to a voicemail and that someone would call back. I left a voicemail and tried to call a few times after. I eventually called an uber to get to the rental area. When I walked into the office there were 2 people sitting at their desks on their phones who didn't bother to look up and it was not great customer service at all. They seemed to actually be annoyed with me that I was there. The car did look great, but the customer service was unpleasant.

Beware when you rent from here that they will charge you an extra amount per day for insurance even though you want to decline. We carry full coverage on our cars but they would not accept our insurance cards saying they could have been altered and not correct??? They wanted us to get on the insurance website so they could see our information and coverage!! We needed to be at wedding activities so had to pay the extra $140, total scam!! Also there operating hours are so limited that if you have a early flight which we did, we then had to get our own ride to airport which cost us another $45!! Would never rent from this company again.

Terrible pick up, no directional signage, no answering the phone to request a van, no email to expedite check in as promised, dirty office, awful proof of insurance process, car was not available so they downsized me while I watched them upsize the next guy to the size I reserved. And they mess with the money! I recently used this car rental agency, and I had a positive experience. The free shuttle service made it convenient to get to their location. The check-in process was a breeze, and they had brand new cars available, which was a pleasant surprise. Plus, their prices were competitive. One important tip: Be cautious about buying insurance through Expedia or Priceline because this agency doesn't accept it. Instead, you can either show proof of full coverage personal insurance that covers car rentals or purchase their $34.99/day full coverage insurance. Overall, I had a good experience with this car rental agency.

I always try to hire from small companies, and this time I really liked it, I made a reservation through a kayak from MEGA, upon arrival at the airport I was met at a minivan and taken to the office, surprisingly there was no line at the office, they quickly checked my documents and made an agreement, the manager at the desk recommended that I pay me a couple of bucks extra to improve the car, to my surprise I got a brand new RAV4 with only 300 miles on it. Very unprofessional. The girls had an attitude. Tried to give me a compact car when I had reserved a midsize car. The car I did get smelled horrible had to buy air fresheners. Had to put your foot on the gas peddle to start the car. Turned the car in a day early and was not reimbursed. One of the employees even had on slippers and they both had on short shorts . When I returned the car a day early, that girl didn't even get off the phone talking to her friend. She just looked up at me and said you can go. Had a cat blocking the door. Unbelievable. Held my credit card payment twice plus.

We arrived at the Charlotte, NC airport and called Mega MC for a pick up. The gentleman driving the van was very nice and accommodating. We were greeted in the office by a young girl, I believe her name was Maddie. Maddie was so nice and professional, she checked us in with a smile and kindness. When you have been flying all day, it is very nice to be treated well. The car was clean and ran well which is a big relief for travelers. Customer service at pick up was TERRIBLE! Jay, with the burgandy/red cornrows, attitude was rude and disrespectful. The comical part, she was training two new hire’s on customer service. A JOKE! She is the one that needs to be trained on customer service! Her demeanor, her tone, her aggression, etc. DISGUSTING! Nothing about her was welcoming or friendly. I can’t complain about the car. And drop off with Tee was a pleasure. But I’ll think twice before spending my money here just to avoid the aggravation of dealing with the unpleasant behavior I experienced.

The car was exactly what I needed, so I appreciate that. However, I asked when I picked it up whether I would be able to get a shuttle to the airport at 5:30am. The person working said yes. I showed up at that time and put my keys in the drop box, but no one was there to take me to the airport. I called a shuttle using the app and no one responded. I ended up sharing an uber with another couple that was dropping off their car so it worked out, but I think its extremely unprofessional to say that you offer a shuttle starting at 5am when that is not true.

I want to give these guys a better rating... the problem is the car I was given had a horrific smell to it. I noticed when I got in that it had something smelly in there to try and cover it up. After a few hours in the sun and windows up, this car was unbearable to even get in. I drove everywhere with the windows down. If I was on a longer trip with this car I would have taken it back. Service was great and they claim they don't work with Expedia's 3rd party auto insurance coverage. It was a white Volkswagen Jetta.

Do not book here. First off if you book one price online when you get to the office you most likely won't be greeted but you'll be looked at like you're not supposed to be there by a rude girl, then she'll cancel the reservation you made online and give you some outrageous price. This place should be burned down. Horrible service at the front desk, no girls like this should be the first faces seen by customers she acted like I was bothering her and I feel like I was scammed you should honor what was booked online.

Found this off brand rental car was better service than any of the big players. They’re all Fairport location is nothing fancy but very fast pick up and very fast drop off. The only recommendation is the paperwork does not list where their drop off location is, the address is not at the drop off but I had taken a picture of the intersection so I could find my way back. The staff was very efficient and very polite. I hope they were in other airports but Charlotte is fortunate to have this Rental car competitor

I was traveling to a wedding and needed a rental car. I reserved in advance by at least two months. When I arrived, the company did not have the car that I requested available and the only option was to up charge me to a larger vehicle. I believe I should be compensated for this but have decided not to pursue it further. I recommend calling in advance to see if the company actually has the right vehicle available so that the extra cost can be avoided. The car was fine and the customer service was good.

Yes, you need to provide a copy of your auto insurance, hard copy or online copy if not using their insurance, a deposit is charged to your credit card, and promptly returned in two days after returning the car, and I received no hidden charge fees. I was charged the same rate as appeared on the contract. The van ride from the airport to the rental company was less than 5 minutes as was the retuurn ride. The team was friendly and helpful. I would rent a car from Mega MC again without any hesitation!

We had a great experience with Mega MC. I was told my personal insurance wasn’t sufficient. I called them, told them the situation, and they added the car and provided the necessary documents for me to complete the rental. The staff was willing to wait and help me understand what was needed for the rental. The car was clean, full of gas, and ready to go. They were easy to work with. My suggestion for anyone is recognize you are renting from an economy lot. They are cheaper for a reason.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE. We booked our rental through Expedia. Our flight was delayed, so we landed after they had closed. Called and they said they would allow us to pick up our car the following morning and confirmed an 8 a.m. pickup. They never showed up. We called repeatedly and never received an answer after numerous messages left. I've disputed the charge, but they are still claiming to have us pay for a rental that they never provided. Absolutely do not rent from them.

First when I arrived at the airport I called for a shuttle and no one answered. It’s definitely what you expect a car rental company to look like. Their website to verify your insurance didn’t work for me so I was then forced to buy their insurance. This rule wasn’t told before hand which is really frustrating. I wouldn’t have rented from them if I had known this. There was one worker both at pick up and drop off. I will make sure not to use Economy again if I’m in Charlotte.

I rented a car and paid the security deposit. These people charged me $100 for a cleaning fee. We left no items in the car. I made sure of that while putting my luggage in the van for the trip back to the airport. Did they expect me to wash and vacuum the car before returning it? That is just standard procedure on service between rentals. I will never rent from them again. The driver didn't even help with putting the luggage in the van. Cheap price but even cheaper service.

Absolutely my best experience when renting a car. I arrived at the airport at 9:45pm, the shuttle driver was there waiting for me. Took about 5-10 minutes to get from the airport to the rental place. The lady that took care of me was very professional and wasn’t rushing me out the door (they close at 10pm). When I come back to Charlotte I will definitely be using them again. Thank you for the perfect experience and the great looking car that’ was great on gas.

5⭐️ experience! Late review. Had a bad accident last year, DAY BEFORE Thanksgiving, and it was soo hard to get a rental, especially without exorbitant pricing. Not only were they available and responsive when I called on Thanksgiving eve, they got me in a car the day after at a very affordable rate while insurances were working on coverage! This would have been a 5 star rating, but for not having a vehicle larger than a sardine can ( Toyota Corolla). The ad gave the impression that i was getting a jeep or something comparable. I don't feel the Toyota Corolla was comparable. I am 6ft and it was extremely uncomfortable. Other than that the service, and employees were top of the line. Yes I would use them again, only if they have a vehicle large enough for a tall person.

Thjs company is a fraud and not to be trusted. I traveled an hour to get there because the were not at the airport and were open late. Supposedly. I was told that a shuttle was on the way and it never came. I took a cab that cost $21 only to arrive and find them closed with the shuttle sitting behind a locked fence. I called 18 times and automatic hang ups They are liars and trying to steal business from legit rental companies

I had a booking for these people. It is an absolute scam. They allow you to book it online at a certain rate and then raise it once you are isolated here from the other car rentals at the airport. Not only that but we had to wait over an hour for the shuttle to get here. They made no attempts to contact me beforehand regarding shortages in cars and raising prices. I couldn’t be more disgusted with an experience and business.

This place is misleading and the customer service was terrible. Every policy they mentioned when renting they couldn’t produce in writing nor was it listed on the confirmation of the reservation or before booking. The property damage amount for full coverage is one policy they couldn’t show me only told me. No manager on duty nor could give me a corporate number to call. Highly unprofessional and would not recommend.

Left me stranded at the car lot I had to call a cab, the car was ok and then I had an extra 460 charge on my card I called and they said the credited it back and was going to send an email so if I don’t see a credit soon I will take them to court! Not connected to the airport biggest mistake of the trip I was told I would be shuttled to and from airport I got a ride to the car lot but not back! Very disappointed

Appears to be a small operation, but our pickup was timely and our vehicle new. We were traveling with a pet. I was hit with a $20 per day pet fee, which was unexpected. I have searched online and do not find information on an additional fee for pets. The rental was for 5 days, so $100 bucks. My pet does not shed and someone would be hard pressed to be able to tell I had transported my dog in their car.

They came back days later and fraudulently charged me for damages that were already on the vehicle. Vehicle was inspected upon return and none of these things were mentioned to me. I received a copy of my receipt and that was it. Now almost a week later they’re charging me for damages. Have not received one phone call or email in regards to said damages. Just go to a reputable renter if you’re able to.

Wasn't given an adress to return the car as these people pick you up, and when we were able to get through to the gal at the front desk she gave us the adress for Goodwill and started tobecome disrespectful and have impatient tone when we were just trying to return the car. All I have to say is ghetto and they take reservations and you will be lucky if they have a car when you get there! Flew in from Denver just to find out they have no car for me!! No apologies and the employee could of cared less. Stick with Budget or one of the bigger names. You may pay a little more but at least they will have a vehicle for you! They increased my rate by 500% because there was a glitch in their system. I asked for them to show me where in the contract it says they can change the rate. I was told at least 10 times “ you can cancel and get a refund or keep the rental at the new rate” I told them I have rented 3 times in the past year and it was their error who could they not accommodate the rate. The whole process from start to finish was very quick and easy. Mega MC location at Charlotte, NC airport also had much cheaper car rental rates than the other leading competitors. The car was clean at pick up and worked well. They also had a shuttle available for pick up at the airport and for a quick, reliable drop off. I had such a good experience with this place! It was my first time renting a car ever. Jae was SO sweet. She answered all my questions and got me out of there within like 20 mins. Yes, they charge a 500 dollar security deposit but you get it back when you return the car! The car was clean, and drove smooth the whole time I had it. It was really comfy and roomy. I’ll be back!

Setup car through Economy and was made to feel that this was a bad thing. We arrived early and had to wait two hours for the vehicle to be returned. They cleaned it up some. We later found a cell phone when we were cleaning it for the return. Apparently they don’t do a thorough check to make sure that there aren’t items left behind. We had a great experience getting from the airport to our car. Car was great. Return went smoothly. When my security deposit was returned $50 in taxes and fees were withheld, after I had paid $100 in taxes and fees at booking. Emails and phone calls to see if this was a double charge or in fact owed were not returned over a 2 week period.

Everything was easy and quick however the AC didn't work in the shuttle van its was a long 5min ride of my life there was no kind of air blowing from anywhere. It was so hot that by time we got to the airport my grandson who is 12 literally had to change his clothes. No one should have to indore that. Customer Service was good.

FIVE STARS!!! I rented this vehicle and received it very clean. Comfortable ride and wonderful customer service at the office. My wife and I got a shuttle ride back to the hotel after we returned the vehicle. Our only regret is that we were unable to extend it for an additional day. I blame the turo app!

I paid a higher rate for an SUV and when I arrived they didn’t have one available. So instead, I was given the option of paying even more money for an upgrade, or taking a Nissan Altima without refunding me the difference. They literally robbed me and Expedia ended up giving me “points” for the hassle.

This rental car company is not located in-terminal at Charlotte Airport, you have to call the office at arrival to pick you up. If you have a very early flight, The office does not open until 5 a.m. for return trip to Airport. No ramp to pull your bags into the office.

Signed up on Orbitz for intermediate car and got Kia Rio with base features, only got a key to open door, no key fob, could not push button to open locks or trunk. Clerk strongly told me that I had signed up for what they called an iCar and that was it.
