Went out to have my brakes done, they did do the brake job and that's fine. While getting my brakes done I asked if they could replace my rear windshield wiper blade. after I assume they attempted to change the blade I was informed very around about way that they had broke the entire arm on the windshield. he didn't just come out and say it broke he led me all around telling me how much an arm cost at other places, I proceed to tell him that yes people at AutoZone and all those places that you buy them from don't want to change it cuz I said it's sensitive and it may break. he looks at me and then says well that's exactly what happened it broke but it cost $18 if you buy the part and bring it back I'll put it on for free. I brought the part back in yesterday the part cost me almost $30. I requested a refund for my part because I did not break the arm they broke the arm they are professional people not people at AutoZone this is what they do as their job. he gets loud because I'm asking for a refund and tells me that I'll just charge you the full amount for the service and the labor and I promise you you'll come out a whole lot more than what this part cost. I replied that you broke it you buy it it's just that simple but he's upset because I'm asking for a refund so therefore he looks at me like I'm crazy for being upset for telling him to refund the cost of that part. he did put the part on for free then kindly told me to never come back into the store. how are you going to get upset at someone for asking you to replace something that you broke. I should not have to even do the leg work and find the part myself but I did. Now contacting BBB.

The brakes on my daughter’s car can be a little squeaky at times, especially when just starting out. Would it bother me enough to take it in, probably not. However for her, it’s a completely different ball game. So, being a dad who wants to make sure his little girl is happy, I set up an appointment to have a nearby Meineke check out the breaks, as well as an issue with the exhaust system. Within a couple of hours, I received a text complete with numerous detailed photos of the areas needing work, as well as an assessment of how critical the issue is to the proper, safe operation of the vehicle. Additionally, a detailed breakdown of the cost of all parts and labor was included. It couldn’t have been easier, I just texted “Mike”, the manager back with my approval to go ahead with the repairs. A few hours later, I received an another text saying the job was done. I immediately called back & said I’ll be there, as soon as I finish eating the chili I had been cooking in the crockpot all morning. Mike sounded interested in my chili, so I brought him a bowl too & some shredded cheese for his lunch. Mike & the Meineke staff couldn’t have been nicer, or more efficient. Side note: Mike lent me his personal car to drive home, so I wouldn’t have to walk back. Also, he just cleaned up the brakes & pads & repositioned the calipers. He said, there’s 90% left on the pads, so no need to replace anything & he also addressed what was the cause of the squeaky brakes. Bottom line is.. I will definitely be returning to Meineke if & when a need arises for either my daughter’s, or my own vehicle.

Bought a used car from a friend and brought it to Meineke in Castleton to have it looked at. They had pretty good reviews, including some saying that it's a trustworthy place, so I figured I'd give them a shot. Do not take your car here. These people are thieves. They assessed my front and rear brake pads and rotors, as well as other pieces of the brake assembly, as being in need of replacement, and quoted almost $900 for the work. I did opt to have the front brakes done because I planned to drive my car out of town for work and just wanted to make sure I would be safe doing so. Meineke also told me that a severe jitter I felt while driving was just a misaligned hubcap that made the car *look* like something funky was up with the alignment. ...never mind the fact that I told them I *felt* the jitter while driving and it wasn't merely something my husband had seen as we were driving the car home after purchase. Then after my work trip, I took my car to Hopkins Automotive for a second opinion. Their shop not only told me that the rear brake pads were fine for a while still, but they rotated my tires and did some calibration that should hopefully take care of the jitter. The cost for this visit to Hopkins? $59. So do not take your car to Meineke. Take it to Hopkins. Meineke ripped us off.

Great service. Financing options saved my life. Their free Diagnostic found things I would never seen until it was too late like rear suspension shocks and struts. Their financing options was great got approved for $1400 with a 500 credit score. Every thing was cheaper than firestone. Front brakes and rotors $435 ($525 firestone) rear suspension shocks and struts($246) firestone would've never seen it. Both wheel speed sensors front for $358. Brake fluid flush and rear light bulb $136. Diagnostic $0 (firestone $139) Went to firestone last week to get an alternator done and they charged $139 to diagnose the problem I had already said was wrong. NOT to mention on the phone he said the Diagnostic was $39.99. Lie then charged $620 for the alternator and couldn't get approved for their financing so I spent cash. ITS MEINEKE FOR ME. Hope yall find this review useful I never did one before but I'm 30 now and I wish I would've been reading reviews 10 years ago it would've saved me time and money. THOUSANDS!!!! Thank you meineke. This location is a five min walk from the mall and plenty of restaurants you will have plenty to do while you wait.

Before anything, Mike is amazing. A real sweetheart and excellent customer service. I initially dropped my car off because I suspected my pads/rotors might have needed changing, to have the check engine light checked, and my passenger headlight was out. My car was at the shop from 11-4 which isnt the problem. I never got a call or any communication of what was happening with my car, I had to call when I realized this location actually closes at 4 on Saturdays. I'm an essential worker and I would have been in a bad spot with my job due to Meineke being closed on Sundays and no way to get my car..I was informed that my car wasn't able to be worked on due to overflow from the previous day which I completely understood. When I got there to pick it up, I could see the mechanic changing my headlight (I personally know how to do this myself) and was charged 50 bucks. Most of it was for labor that took 10 min of time. The only thing keeping me from being totally turned off by this experience was how nice and personable Mike is.

This last time was by far the worst. The past 2-3 times I’ve went for an oil change I’ve had to put oil in not even a week after “service”. This time it wasn’t even a couple days before my gauges that I was out of oil. Upon investigating with a reputable mechanic I further learned that instead of new oil being used my car is being filled with recycled oils and feels like I have a leak or the oil pin wasn’t put back in nor oil filter changed. I didn’t have any of these issues when I/people were allowed to wait on their vehicle rather than dropping off. So not sure if it’s other things being done to the degree I have to come back and pay more money for other services but that’s what it feels like and that’s what my reputable mechanic has described as what is happening as well. My vehicle has never been in the condition it’s been as it has after an oil change. Literally would cut off on me or the engine would halt every other day.

Wouldn't trust this place. They uploaded pictures of a drive belt that was cracked and worn as part of their inspection. I didn't go through with the repair and had it towed to my normal dealership. My dealership told me that my drive belt was completely fine. Meineke told me that my spark plugs were "worn and fouled." They uploaded pictures of those too. I said I had my spark plugs changed 20k miles ago so this shouldn't be possible and they changed their story three times: first they told me it was merely a recommendation based on mileage. When I questioned that and said that their notes said they were bad, they said it must be a prepopulated comment selected in error, and then they said that they had been working on a different car and got the notes confused with mine. I'm still not sure whose drive belt or spark plugs those were, because they surely weren't mine according to my dealership. Take that for what you will.

My brakes started to make odd sounds. Of course right before a trip. I called around and most places were completely booked till the following week. Meineke was able to get me in the very next day. Mike and his team were so quick. New brakes, rotors, calipers and new fluid only took 2 hours and they were so warm and friendly. I rarely have issues with my vehicles and have always been nervous trying to find the right mechanic for the job. I can genuinely say, that I will be coming here for anything else. Prices were absolutely fair and they didn't make me wait a few days to fix it. Truly stellar on all sides. Mike was so wonderful! Other places have made me feel small or silly. Thank you guys for the service and I'll be back in the future.

Recently, I had to take my car to Meineke, and the service I received left a lasting impression on me. While on my way back to Purdue, I heard an unusual noise coming from my car's chassis on the highway. Thankfully, I found Meineke, and the team there did an outstanding job. Within 10 minutes, they diagnosed and fixed the issue without charging me a dime, saving me from a potentially disastrous situation. We made a 9:00am appointment for an oil change. We were not allowing to wait in the reception area and after 1.5 hours the car was not ready. I approached the mechanic standing at his station and asked about the repairs. The mechanic informed me that he was waiting on a reply to put in new air filters. At no time we’re we contacted about replacing the air filters. I told the mechanic we were done and had him close up the vehicle. The person (manager) at the desk apologized and said he had 15 cars in the shop during our 2 hour ordeal. We were on location the whole time and his excuse was a lie! I have spent several thousands of dollars at this location, when Greg was the manager. I would never take my business there again.

I was nervous about taking my car anywhere to get repaired because I've been burned before by shops trying to take advantage. This place went above and beyond! Mike was very helpful and honest. They did a thorough inspection, then sent me a detailed email listing each individual item with total cost to repair, complete with photos, videos and description, giving me time to look everything over and accept or decline each item. Once I approved the items, Mike called me immediately. They started on my car right away & it was done by the end of the day! I am grateful for the whole team at this Meineke location. I feel safe and comfortable in my car again. Great service!

Call and made an appointment for a fuel leak was able to schedule in a reasonable amount of time, but you have an option of online scheduling. Brought my truck in at 11:00 (drop off only) and by 2 I knew what the problem was and was sent photos straight to my phone. Was not able to get a repair that day but Mike was kind enough to order my parts and received a call from him when delivered. My repair was done the next day as promised! The cost of this repair was high and I’m not sure at this time what the real problem was. I say this because before my car was towed there I locked my glove compartment ( they opened it ) my armrest was broke and my truck was a total mess and it was not in that condition before it was towed there. My antifreeze is now leaking so my car is running hot. Huge waist of $345.90. I won’t make that mistake again. My Mechanic is not close to where I live, but I have never had anything like this happen to my car, NOT EVER!!!!

Such an amazing experience when I was in distressed, My suv suddenly died on the road without previous warning, I called searched for auto repair around my location, I called the nearest which was the Castleton on 82nd Meineke, Their service was great, my vehicle was towed in and diagnosed with knock engine and recommended I toed it to the the dealer. I had it on my mind that I will pay for towing service and the diagnosis but surprisingly the manager waived all paying zero. I am grateful. I highly recommend.

Read the reviews, and they were so positive that I felt I had to come meet Mike and I was not disappointed! Mike was AMAZING and so kind. I didn’t feel like it was the typical untrustworthy dealership or car place. He made me feel like it was safe to leave my car there and again, didn’t disappoint. My car is no longer making the noise it was making do to a bearing that had gone wrong. The price was also reasonable. Mike and Meineke have a customer for life. Thank you Mike and team! This is my second visit with this Meineke, they have been professional and reliable both times! I called Mike on Friday asking for an appointment on Saturday because it was my only day off; despite the short notice Mike managed to get me an appointment for 10am which I am grateful for. I dropped off my car and they gave me a call when they figured out what was wrong with my exhaust. I received a very reasonable quote for the cost of repairs and my car was ready acouple hours later. This site doesn't honor many Meineke's own coupons. I brought a $24.95 Meineke oil change coupon. The store manager refused it and requested to upgrade to synthetic oil only. He said he only does the manufacturer "recommended" oil type and he is afraid of car breakdown due to oil change. Come on, this is not the *mandatory* oil type by the manufacturer. He asked either do the synthetic or leave, no other options. Wasted my lots of time to schedule and bring car there. Never go there again!!

I’ve taken my vehicles to Meineke for a few years now and I’ve been very happy with the service I’ve received. The manager is honest and trustworthy and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any of my family or friends. They do great work at a reasonable price and they back up their service with professionalism and integrity. I’m glad I was able to find them. Despite me clicking the coupon that I wanted to use, they wouldn't honor it because in the terms that they don't show on it says you basically need a specific car. Clicking the picture doesn't bring up terms either, so no way I could know. Priced at triple coupon, which I know one term would be there is a small fee for more than 5qt (normal), but not that I get charged triple. Never going here again, great false advertising.

Customer service is always great at this location. I have been going there for years and will continue to go for all my service needs. They always keep me updated on the status of my vehicle. Meineke in Castleton replaced rear brake pads and rotors on my daughter’s 2017 Subaru Forester, and they plugged a leak in one tire. The service was fast and efficient. I usually do brake system maintenance myself, but the weather has not been conducive to working on the driveway, so I went with Meineke as I felt they do good work and I could trust that the work would be done right. They did a nice job .

The air conditioning repair seems to have worked fine, and Mr. Snow was a pleasure to work with. However, when I return to my car I noticed greasy boot prints on my floor mat and the door sill. I worked 20 years in the automotive business and I never saw a technician get into a customers car without putting down a paper floormat. Frankly, I was shocked and disappointed. I’m not sure if I’ll return or not.

Mike at Meineke was extremely courteous in his service! What they said, they delivered! I walked in around 11:25am and was assured my vehicle would be finished by this afternoon. I went in for a noise in my tire, they tightened the bolt for free but also changed all of my bulbs that were out and fixed my radiator leak for a good price. It took three and a half hours to get my oil and air filter changed. You can’t wait inside, so I was stranded for the last hour of it because I received a two and a half hour estimate. Then, when I got my car back, it smelled like cigarettes. I’m still trying to get that scent out, but it won’t go away. Really disappointed.

Excellent service. Went to midas first and no one came into the customer area for the 5 minutes I was there. Saw meineke and came here. Mike helped me right away. The manager Mike tried to rip mw off because I am a young woman. I went in for their 24.99$ oil change special but he upsold me without asking for the 85$ synthetic oil change, lying to me about how the cheaper oil is 'too thick' for my car. My dad ended up being involved. Incredibly embarrassing.
