Owner Melanie did not have what we requested in travel size local Belgian whiskey, while she offered us so many samples of other local spirits that we purchased anyway. What a find to try and buy her recommended Ginderella, a silky smooth gin infused with herbs from local fields just beyond Ghent. Her tiny space is an Aladdin's cave of spirits, wines and beers, along with exotic grocery and culinary items -- Japanese noodles and tea ceremony accessories alongside Anglo-Indian sauces and spices. Wow.

And absolute gem of a shop. Personally curated by the owner, there isnt a beer or wine in here she hasn't tried, nor one she wouldn't drink herself. The and more refers the a great little selection of japanese, Korean and Filipino food items. Great selection of Belgian beers, very well priced, and a must stop for any enthusiast. The owner Melanie is full of knowledge on the products, and is a delight.

An exceptional wine shop where our muddled explanations about what we want ("it is this wine, it tastes unfinished, and it's hazy") were actually understood by Melanie. And now we even know the proper name for this type of wine (orange wine, if anyone is interested). We've got a really nice bottle of orange wine and a few other wines, all of them very fine and exactly as described. Many thanks.

Gezellige zaak in het hartje van Gent. Heel groot aanbod aan mooie biowijnen en wijnen uit minder gekende wijnstreken. Probeer zeker ook eens de lekkere artisanale ciders en bieren. Daarnaast heeft Melanie ook veel Aziatische voedingswaren die je nergens anders vindt. Enthousiaste en vriendelijke zaakvoerster die je met plezier advies geeft. Een ontdekking!

Nice shop for Wine, beer and so on... They have different type of wine from different countries ( Soon Will be Georgian wine as well) Melanie is very nice and kind person so when you get here try to talk with her as well. P.s. Shop located very quiet place, as well prices is low compared to other shops in old town.

We love this shop and come back every time we're in Ghent. Excellent selection of pan Asian cooking ingredients on one side, and excellent selection of alcohol on the other! Melanie is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about both sides of her shop and has recommended us lots of tasty wines and gins.

A nice little shop in the middle of all the restaurants. The owner is very passionate about everything she sells and gives you a warm feeling when visiting. Her experience in wine is on point! The only thing why I don't give it a 5 is because it's very busy with all the products on her shelves.

I'm so happy I found this shop while on my brief trip in Ghent! It is a unique store with a great selection of wine and a warm atmosphere. Melanie was extremely helpful with suggesting a wine based off of my preferences, and the price was very affordable.

Één van de beste drankwinkels in Gent. Ze heeft alles en weet alles over wat ze heeft. Ze kent vele wijnboeren, en staat altijd klaar voor advies. Heb hier ook langgekoesterde notenlikeur gevonden en prima Barolo. Een niet zo gekend pareltje! Bravo.

주인장 분이 너무 착하십니다. 원하는 와인을 잘 찾을 수 있도록 여러가지 와인들도 시음시켜주셨습니다. 오스트리아의 명생산자 markus huber의 오렌지 와인이 너무 맛있어서 오렌지 와인을 별로 안좋아하는데도 두병이나 샀어요! 다들 저녁에 숙소에서, 집에서 마실 와인 여기서 사면 됩니다. 가격도 부담스럽지 않아서 편하게 사드시면 됩니다! 아주머니 대박나세요!

Came across this little gem of a store. The assortment is so interesting with local and historical Infusion within and outside the region. And you will fall in love with Melanie within seconds.

I've been to Melanie's several times when visiting Ghent. She is super helpful, quick to make a good suggestion and share a taste. And her prices are great!

At Mélanie's you'll find the best selection of European wines and also a lot of speciality beers and special food ingredients of the world kitchen.

I moved away from Gent years ago but highly recommend people visit Melanie's World...she keeps it stocked full of goodies, I love her!
