"Very beautiful and spacious mosque"
Went for jumma prayer. It was great. However, the only downside is that some women don't follow the rule of taking the kids to the downstairs area for praying and instead come to the upstairs area. There were some well-behaved kids and some not so well-behaved kids, causing disturbance to few people. I love kids, but the rules are placed for a reason, so people should obey it. Perhaps an announcement at the start of the khutba to remind parents with children to use the downstairs area would be a good idea. Because I did see a few heads turning around and looking at the mother of a child who was screaming when people were trying to listen to the khutba. That's just my opinion and point of view. The food and variety stall after the jumma prayer is a great idea.
A very nice mosque with beautiful design. There clearly was a need for this mosque as there were a lot of people present for tarawih prayer. I have to say, I had never seen so many children at a mosque before (at least 30 children in the women's section, with some babies). I heard there were a lot of children in the men's section as well. I do understand that parents want their children to be part of the mosque experience, but having so many children during prayer time, greatly increases noise levels which impacts on the experience of the participants. Organising childcare on the premises would be a good idea. Also, the mosque needs a better sound system as the talks and sermons cannot be clearly heard in the women's section - the sound is low and muffly.
This place was a chaos in Ramadan with cars flooding the nearby locality. What is shocking is that the mosque has A LOT of underground parking which is mostly unused merely because of few dollars. The management wants to charge for that parking thereby wasting 95% of the parking causing so much inconvenience to the neighbourhood. The only time this parking would be utilised at its best was during Ramadan but they messed it up. We understand management is new and has no prior experience but they need to be inclusive, appreciate feedbacks and do something about it.
Melbourne grand mosque committee should be ashamed of themselves. On Friday prayer 6/10/23 their was a recruitment campaign and members of the Australian Defence Force invited to encourage the community to join the army. Not only is this invitation undoubtedly haram what about the brothers and sisters who can be from Afghanistan where the ADF committed war crimes and atrocities . I'm absolutely astonished at the lack of critical thinking to hold such an event. The community deserves an apology and the committee actions should be rebuked at the highest level.
Very beautiful and spacious mosque. Every area of the mosque is thoughtfully planned. Wudu area and toilets are very clean and well maintained. Plenty of shoe racks available in a spacious area so there is no crowding. Main prayer area is very clean and aesthetically designed. Plenty of parking available inside the boundary and outside street parking. Great experience visiting this mosque Alhamdulillah.
Nice big mosque. I have never seen so many doors to enter the mosque. But I did not like the khutba of the imam of the mosque. Because it was not a suitable speech for the young people there. When asked about this, one person said, Imam is blind. I personally don't agree with that.
A great mosque after a very long wait, finally Muslims can go there and perform all their prayers in peace and harmony. Magnificent and hardworking management whom I knew from last 15 years. All are very devoted and dedicated. They have made that dream,,, a real miracle.
Great masjid, i am fortunate to have this masjid near my place. The beauty of this masjid brings you back again into masjid for offering prayers five times a day without being tired. May Allah have blessings on the imams, management and administration for their efforts.
Big mosque and fully crowded for Taraweeh prayers. They pray 8 rakas and withr. During withr prayer, a group is staying outside. After first group finishes Taraweeh and withr, other group is praying Taraweeh continuously to make it to 20 Rakas.
