I called Metro 24 because the latch in the door to the basement would not work and the door was stuck shut. They said it would be $29 for a service call which sounded reasonable to me. When the locksmith arrived, she did not seem to know how to deal with an old door handle, which I had mentioned when I called, and she was unable to repair the problem. She said it would cost $150 plus the service call to get the door open but that was all she could do. For that price, I assumed it would take some time. She had to borrow a screwdriver from us and then took 2-3 seconds total to get the door open. Then she offered to use the drill she had with her to enlarge an existing hole for a bolt lock at the top of the door, never saying that would be more money. We all assumed she was offering this as a courtesy since the work we'd agreed on for $150 took just a couple of seconds and we'd still have to figure out how to fix the handle. At the end of a short, perfunctory drilling process she told us our total would now be $180 for the 15 minutes she was in the house. We ultimately said we would pay no more than $150 after we argued that the work involved was not worth $180. She also said it would be $350 to send someone to finish the work by putting in a new handle, but after our experience with her we went to the hardware store and replaced the mechanism and installed it ourselves for $25.

The locksmith business is very sleazy, and this company falls under that category. I called several different numbers looking for same day service. Metro Locksmith told me they did not have the lock I needed (a specific keyless lock), so I told them no problem, I will call someone else. I then got a call from Metro's installer saying he got my lock and was coming in 20 mins. I said - no, I have now moved on to another company. Then his boss called and fought with me about paying for the lock his guy had just purchased "for me." I refused and the man kept calling me back. I hung up on him twice and then he started texting. TERRIBLE customer relations. A professional would have said - "sorry for the misunderstanding - we hope you will consider us in the future...." I will never use Metro Locksmith after this experience.

Very responsive and timely. However, they told me the fees for unlocking and then additional fees for replacing the lock. They drilled a hole through my door that now I need to repair and he said it wasn't his fault, it was an issue with the lock. Then he told me that because of the type of lock, he had to go get other parts and it would be $500 more (for a total now of $810). When he returned, he quickly replaced the locking mechanism, and now the door won't open smoothly and it jams up every time. He also didn't attach the metal panel because doing so would prevent the door from opening. The whole time saying it wasn't his fault because he didn't do any work on the handle. I'm hoping it gets smoother over time, but ultimately I'm very disappointed and will need to get another locksmith to fix this job.

I had a great experience with the locksmith. My son lost his car key While visiting a friend at a college in Washington DC. I reside in Pennsylvania. My son is deaf so I had to handle everything from Pennsylvania for my son. The locksmith worked with me and had a lot of patience. I then gave the locksmith my sons phone number and told him he can communicate by text which he did. He made my son a new key and my son is able to come back to Pennsylvania with no problem. I really appreciate his service

Do not use this service! They not only failed to program the spare fob I asked, they also deprogrammed the one I already had, didnt tell me, and drove away! I then had to have another locksmith come undo what they screwed up! If they pay me back Ill take this down but do yourself a favor and call someone else instead. Update: Multiple unanswered emails and multiple phone disconnects later, I have not yet been paid back. Again: dont use these guys.

We had an immediate emergency. IMMEDIATE!!! I called several others before call Metro 24 hrs Locksmith. None of the others were up to the task. METRO sent John. He was at our house in 20 minutes and had this fortress of a door open in 10 or 15 minutes of drilling steel. The best $400 I've spent in a long time. YES, it was a lot of money. If you only knew the task. Awesome work!!!!

I had lost my car keys at a friend's house. I was referred to them from another friend. As soon as they arrived, the nice man was very patient with me. He was able to get my door unlocked and worked with me to get another key. I have definitely referred my other friends to this company as well.

This company was very cooperative & very efficient in a timely manner. The gentleman who came and unlocked my customers vehicle was very respectful & very helpful. Pricing seems a little high but overall did an awesome job!

quick response (Great) residential service chg very reasonable ($30) BUT SUPER expensive!!! they charge by the type of lock you have - TOOK all of 30 seconds to open. $200 tab. NEVER AGAIN
