I have been going to this laundromat for over a year now and I have experienced and witnessed the staff being rude, impolite and discourteous to customers. They only seem to care about the customers who are of the same race. My last visit this past Sunday was horrible. I put my clothes in the dryer as well as enough money for the recommended time it's suppose to take to ensure your clothes are dried completely. To no avail my clothes were not dry but damp. I informed the attendant of what happened and he told me I needed to put more money in the machine. Which of course I was not going to do after already spending way more than I should have had to. He then proceeds to put his hand on the door to feel how hot it is, which it was not. It was more warm than hot. Even though I selected the hot temperature option. He again tells me I need to put more money into the machine and what the recommended amount is. I explained to him I had already done so. He didn't care he just walked away. At this point there are now other customers complaining about the same issue. He did nothing. I again try to get his attention and he says to me "I'm not talking to you". I proceed to put my clothes in my bag as he walks by me again I then try to get his attention he completely ignores me. I ask for a manager he very sternly says "I'm the manager". I ask for a refund and even suggested I put clothes in another dryer and he cover the cost. No response from him. Again he just walked away. I had enough at that point and called the cops to assist me. They came and spoke with him and I. I was then given a form to fill out for a refund. WORST LAUNDROMAT EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!!!! After the cops left and I was packing my stuff to go another customer informed me that he paid for another customer's laundry who was of the same race as he. SHAMEFUL. DISCRIMATORY.

Updated 3/7/19 - I guess coming here is hit or miss. I think 20 to 30 percent of the machines are out of order. :( Upated 2/24/2019 - Its been a year or more since I last visited. I came here today with 2 large heavy covers for a futon and a bed comforter. I washed all three for a total of $3.75. They spinned reasonably well and I used two dryers that cost another $2.25. Bottom line, I was really happy. The attendant was very pleasant and the place was extremely clean and orderly. My last rating was 2 stars.... today I'd give them 5 stars. _________________________ I've been here twice now. The machines are reasonably priced, it is very clean and you're continuously given a big smile. So why the 2 stars? The washing machines don't spin well. You will go broke trying to dry your wet clothes in dryers that coincidentally have a default temperature of LOW. Pay attention or you are screwed.

The spin cycle on the washers should be examined clothes come out overly saturated at the end of the cycle causing you to spend an excess of money on the dryers which are prices quite high at a rate of 6 minutes per quarter. Most laundry mats you get 10 minutes per quarter and some even have incentives where you get free dry time when you use the in house card system. More parking is needed. If I'm going to pay such a high rate to dry at least the clothes should be thoroughly spun in the spin cycle to drain the water out of the clothing prior to doing so. It seems like a money grab on an already impoverished people.

Great laundromat and always clean. I’ve been coming to this laundromat for years even before the renovations. There is normally police presence to keep the crime and the nonsense away. However, there is a rude Hispanic attendant who works there on Saturdays who seems to target African Americans. I’ve witnessed it several times. There is a Hispanic lady who works there on Sunday’s and she is always super nice. I would definitely recommend.

I have been coming here since COVID since it’s convenient to my location. I’m in and out quickly, and I’m usually not bothered but today was different. I’m sitting minding my business on my phone and one of the managers walks up to me asking if I’m washing clothes like what?! Ma’am i have been coming here for months and today you decide to question why i am here, why? Like why only say something to me, so annoyed

If I could add more stars I would, the workers in this laundry work good. There is two ladies that keep the laundromat clean are really good, I appreciate the help they give. Especially the women who works in the morning, because she does a lot of work and maintain the laundromat always clean and try’s to help each customer and the bathrooms are clean.

Mark my words: I will own this Laundromat in the future! Its time for better management. I've been a customer since 2006 I get increasingly annoyed with this place. #1 Used to be a 24 HOUR laundry. Now its not. Dumb #2 Coin dispensers are frequently turned off or out of service #3 Used to be open until 11PM/12AM. #4 Customer service. Meh

Does anyone know if there are restrictions on hours for drop off laundry service? I have received terrible customer service for Sunday night drop off even though I explained to the staff I didn't need it until Monday night but due to my early morning hours was unable to drop off before work. Anyone know of any way to contact the owner?

Praise the Lord, it takes me one bus to get there and back, that's why I do my laundry there, it's a very clean place, the attended there is a professional.its where a lot of people wash there clothes, it gives me a chance to talk to them about the good news of the bible, and I shop at Walgreens.i love this place also.amen

Poor Customer service had to use the restroom before getting my clothes out of the car..........and the attendant wouldn't give me the key she stated to me no public restrooms.....I told her my clothes are in the car......but I have to use the restroom now. I had to drive to McDonald's it's a shame.

Its very clean the bathroom is clean they really do their job and its friendly dryers are very hot just put 5 quarters you clothes will dry for the top dryers the bottom dryers needs help t get hot but not like the top ones . Otherwise anyone can go get there clothes wash. Best time is 9am to 3pm

Went to this for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. It was clean, spacious, with many machines to choose from. Washing & drying clothes took much less time than I imagined. Don't plan on using this place again (I would come back), but would definitely recommend it.

I like it here. There’s a lot of size machines to select from so you can spend less for smaller loads. Almost always has a machine available, I’ve never had to wait. Super clean and uses cash or reloadable card. The attendants are nice too! No riff raff meandering around either.

G’day, This is my neighborhood laundromat. I’ve been going since they opened. And Yesterday I they’re the worst experience with a staff person that I haven’t seen before. She was nasty, unprofessional, unwelcoming, and off putting! I am considering Not Returning! Uff...

I like this place the place is always super clean. I have a laundry room in the building where I live, but I prefer to got out of my way to this place. The ladies who work there are very friendly and helpful. The only thing that would make it better is if they had TV.

I loved how big it is and its not the cheapest but it got the job done.. i am loving the fact that theres a 711 next door.. all my clothes got dried very well and washed very well.. i like how theres benches and not chairs .. i am going to go here again for sure..

Thee only laundromat in DC that I will go to wash my king size comforter! I've been going to this laundromat for over 11 years so I love the upgrade the staff is always friendly. This place is super clean which makes very comfortable to do your laundry.

Pretty clean, but they very few smaller washers, so if you're someone like me who prefers smaller loads get there early. Also the parking is very, very scarce and very cramped. There's maybe 15 parking spaces to accommodate the 7-11 and laundromat.

I get my laundry down with out creepy people bothering me which is great! The attendant is very pleasant and helpful. They are currently closed due to Covid-19 which is so sad. I have no idea where to go now without being harassed by weird men.

THIS laundromat is awesome it's clean it's near it's reasonable and the attendant was always willing to help and even the atmosphere was pleasant the other washers were cool as well everyone stay to themselves but they spoke and were very kind

I haven't used a laundromat in eons so needless to say I wasn't sure what to expect. This place is SPOTLESS. The attendant is very kind and is constantly cleaning or helping customers. Most of the machines are operational. Perfect experience.

This laundromat robs people of their money. As you can see, each of these dryers are set at different temperatures. This makes it so that you'll have to spend more money to dry your clothes because 1 dryer is hotter than the other. + The

This place is always clean and rarely crowded, even pre-pandemic. My grandparents used to own laundromats and the woman who works in the mornings cleans the machines and floors like my grandmother used to. And she is very friendly.

I put clothing in dryer ran too the store for 5 mins came back my shirt was missing... So unprofessional... And the lady that run it... Didn't do anything... I should be able to leave for 5 mins and come back to my clothes... Smh

Opens at 7 am, online stated as 9 am. Charged a $1 Deposit for a card to load money. Short wash cycle and ultimately my clothes did not feel or smell fresh as they usually do. Very clean, but too expensive and poor quality wash.

This place is great compared to the one closer to RI Ave. Larger, brighter, cleaner. I'm a fan. Large capacity machines were ideal for a king sized blanket my dog decided to light up. No treats for her tonight.

Could not take out the laundry baskets, make your work harder bringing and taking out your clothes. The bathroom is closed for your use, but other than that, very clean and most of the machines are working.

1st time here. The place is very clean 90% of the washer and dryers work. The attendant was also helpful. And they have 4 size machines ranging in prices from $2.50 up to $6.50. Will come back.

The attendant on Christmas Eve was extremely helpful, to say the least. She answered every single question I had, and even offered me a clean bag in which to tote my bedspreads home.

The swipe card to start doesn't work, so my only option of payment was quarters, and I don't know about you; but it's 2023 no one keeps cash on them but maybe that's just me.

I can wash and dry all of my laundry in 2 hours flat. It's very clean and the staff is pleasant and very helpful. The only flaw is the crowd of guys that gang around 711....

I'm a regular at Metro Laundromat. The facility is clean and the machines are fairly new and in working order. Management keeps the place running like a well oiled machine.

The washers are reasonably priced but the dryers should give you more than 6 minutes per quarter. Especially if your clothes aren't drying after 30 mins (5 quarters)

Absolutely wonderful! The staff was so helpful and pleasant. She constantly mopped and swept. The place was very clean. I will continue to patronize this laundromat.

It was clean...They were walking around wiping everything down. Friendly.. You can purchase snacks, detergent and 711 a few doors dwn. Also everyone had a Mask on.

Clean. Attendant was very nice and helpful. She worked efficiently. Made sure washing machines were clean. Dryers lint free. Floors swept and free of debris.

This laundromat is nice and clean. I felt safe the machines work well dryers work well and that's what I look for in a laundromat.

It's OK. Truly enjoy using the cards to wash, but all the machines are not card friendly so you still have to have quarters.

Dried our huge bedspread in the dryer easily using quarters in large hot dryer. Saturday about 1pm and no hassles.

I don't hate that place I love metro laundromat because you can get a lot of clothes done I go there all the time.
