Fungus is growing on our roof beams a few years after Metro Roof replaced our old tiled roof with a metal roof. Fungus grows on untreated wood (ours is a 100yr old house) where there is moisture and poor ventilation. The new roof is solid but it was not adequately ventilated and Metro Roof refuses to accept any responsibility. On 7 July director Tom Peacock states in an email "Unfortunately Metro is not a ventilation or damp specialist and does not have the expertised in-house to carry out this work". On 22 July Tom Peacock writes " ... we can install a whirlybird to provide more ventilation.This would be charged at a cost of ZAR 6500 for the additional work. Our schedule is very booked up at the moment, but I would do our best to squeeze this in".

Metro Roofing replaced our roof on an old victorian house. They also installed corrugated vertical cladding on a three-storey existing structure. They did an excellent job and we are 100% happy with their service and work.
