Se siete nella zona della Mellah non potete mancare di fare visita al cimitero ebraico, enorme ed emozionante, migliaia di tombe bianche una accanto all'altra; pochissime persone al suo interno, così come gli ebrei ormai rimasti qui a Marrakech, camminerete praticamente da soli e nel totale silenzio. All'entrata per accedere non ho dovuto lasciare nessuna mancia, quindi fate attenzione se qualcuno vi chiederà dei soldi. Non è facilissimo da trovare anche se in linea d'aria si trova a pochissima distanza dal palazzo Bahia.

Unlike other Marrakech monuments, the cemetery was very tranquil in December. We were the only visitors. Unfortunately no English information panels inside the monument. We would have liked to earn more about the place. Entrance fee was 20 MAD.

This unusual cemetery can easily occupy an hour of one's time. It is best to learn about the important figures buried there before visiting, since most of the signage is in Hebrew. Entrance is DH10.

Bevreemdend, in de drukte van de medina is deze begraafplaats zo goed als leeg. Indrukwekkend groot en doet je nadenken over wat er opnieuw aan het gebeuren is in het midden oosten. Heel triest.

Een begraafplaats met een wel zeer aparte stijl. Veel graven zijn naamloos en niet meer dan wit geschilderde betonnen bulten die soms, naar het lijkt, willekeurig geplaatst zijn.

Impressionant à voir, et que 10 MAD l'entrée. Le style "tout en béton" nous semblera étrange, mais l'ensemble donne une ambiance forte.

It is an interesting place to visit. A much more calm and meditative atmosphere than the rest of town.

Rude people at the entrance. Don't walk in front of the door if you are a tourist. Just for Moroccans
