I bought a 4k engagement ring about two years ago for my fiancee together with a 3 year professional care plan. unfortunately the whole crown fell off yesterday and the customer service just informed us, that the small print mentions that the warranty extension only covers soldering and retippings. futher, since we moved to Switzerland shortly after buying it, hence haven't been able to do the yearly check-ups since there are no michael hill stores in europe, the lifetime warranty is also void! I have to say that I expected a 4k diamond ring to last way longer than only about 2 years and I'm really disappointed by the complete lack of customer service. I honestly cannot recommend purchasing anything from the michael hill brand as it really seems to be overpriced mass-produced products lacking any proper quality, which is only made worse by their empty promises and lack of transparency. I have to say that I will never again set foot into a michael hill shop and let my dearest ones know to avoid this brand in the future!

Very unprofessional and disappointed customer service I’ve ever received. I’m a regular customer with MHJ, but I will NEVER visit this store again. My sister and I were shopping for a diamond pendant today (13/3). The lady who served us didn’t show any genuine interest in helping us find the right one as she didn’t ask what we were really after or what style we prefers. All she did was trying to upsell us. Her attitude was even worse when we said we wanted to browse a bit more, but we wanted to have a look at another pendant in the store. Guess what she replied? She told us to come back and she will show us when we were ready to buy; otherwise it is a waste of her time and our time. OMG! Can you believe such things come out from a customer service person? This is really unacceptable. The store manager needs to do a big job in training back the lady; otherwise good luck to your business. FYI, we ended up purchasing two diamond pendants at other store. Highly NOT RECOMMENDED Broadway store.

I recommend everyone not to buy anything from this shop. If you buy something from there, just go to another shop where you can sell that things you will get only 2 % rate from actual price you pay to them. It happened to me. I brought 10k gold chain from this store and pay $1399, the marked price $1999. There was a discount offer so they gave me in $1399.When I went to sell it on couple of jewellery shop there price was only 250 for that chain. So disappointed and waste of money. I went to the store to talk with the staff about this she didn’t response me good. She said at Least they would have gave you 50% . I ask her do this shop buy gold which I brought from here she said no they just sale they don’t buy. No point you spend 1400 and you get 250 if you want sell it. Please think 100 times before you buy anything from this store.

Incredibly rude and unproffesional staff. I went with my Fiancè to be at this location, to look at some engagement rings. I was greeted with "Are you going to buy anything today??" by the staff member, and this was infront of my partner?? We were trying to see what Michael Hill had to offer on display, but instead, the female staff member made the experience extremely uncomfortable by how rude and unprofessional she was. After that unwarranted comment upon our arrival, I quickly told my partner for us to leave, as this experience should be special and not tainted by staff like this. In the end, I bought an amazing engagement ring elsewhere, where they actually wanted to help, due to the unprofessional and poor experience at Michael Hill. I would suggest some more staff training, or further screening as to who you hire.

Went to the store today 29/12/2022 at 1pm to see about having a bracelet (purchased for a Christmas gift) resized. The man and woman were doing nothing standing in an empty shop giggling to each other. He seemed much more interested in her than offering any customer service and gave us such attitude when we questioned why they hadn’t answered the phone all morning that my partner just wanted to return the bracelet. He offered very vague advice on whether or not the bracelet could even be resized and seemed like he just wanted us to leave so he could get back to talking with the girl. I have never encountered such poor customer service that once our $800 Christmas vouchers are spent, I don’t think I will ever shop there again.

Terrible “Click and Collect” experience cause by the miscommunication between staffs member (one that informing the item is ready to be picked up in store) and the mismatch between the online stock for collection in store, it was stated 1 of 1 available when i placed my order. I went to the stores, the staffs couldn’t find the item, they told me that it was actually “not ready and not in stock” and could take 2-3 weeks to be ready. I placed another order on 15/11 for the same ring, and it haven’t been shipped until now, it’s been more than 2 weeks. Not surprise but still disappointed because the amount of the time thats been wasted to wait on the item. Not recommended at all

Went to this store to get some gold earrings. The price tag said they were $189, went to pay for them and at check out the lady said the price of gold changes all the time and the earrings were now over $200. They had a 50% sale on so I ended up paying $109 for them. By the end I felt like the experience was a scam and I didn't want to buy them anymore but felt pressure to do it. The problem for me is that if the items at the store have a printed price it is deceiving to change said price at check out. If the price of the raw material changes all the time simply don't print a price a have a bar code that you can scan when someone asks and give them the latest price available.

Decent amount of staff though they should pay more attention to the quality of service they are providing to each and every customer, not just those that are potentially buying bigger special occasion products. I felt as though the staff were more interested in the other customer and this showed in their failure to pack up the other half of a pair of earrings for not one but two sets of earrings. Realised belatedly so had to return the next day as this is quite an unthinkable error. Manager rather didn't apologise and made excuses which justifies the customer service experiences one would get there since they do not look to improve.

Worst experience at this shop. You can't trust them. They've let my boyfriend buy a ring without knowing the size, told him he would be able to change the size if it takes the assurance, which he did. Turns out the rings doesn't fit and now they say they can't change the size of this ring. My partner would never have bought the ring if they didn't explicitly tell they will resize it when he bought it. The assurance is an extra cost of money but doesn't work in this scenario. That's so unprofessional for a jewelry. To avoid.

This store is getting worst and worst.I have been their customer past few years and the service they used to provide before was very good.Since the ex store manager took transfer,this store has gotten worst.You spend 1000 dollars on watch and has a life time free replacement for battery. When you go to store,they recommend you to go to different shop,pay and get it fixed.I have left my watch in the store last month and it's exactly 1monthand 4days and I have not heard anything from them.Never shopping there again.

Vey rude staff and bad quality! I was told that if I wanted better quality, I would have to pay more, and the earrings that I bought were on sale because they had bad quality. That also indicates that items on sale on MH website have bad quality. (as the earrings that I bought were on sale on MH website). Staff members were so rude and arrogant. The guy who did a refund called me by using his finger and pointed to the eftpos machine (seems like he couldn't speak). So avoid this place and MH maybe.

Boyfriend bought me earrings for Christmas. When I opened them one was looking like it was going to snap. Unfortunately the store in the CBD didn’t have anymore they could exchange, so she rang this store and explained what had happened and if they could keep a pair to the side so I could come and exchange them. The girl who served me was lovely, however, a male then came over greeting me with ‘what’s the problem’ to which he asked for my receipt and had no care. Very poor customer service.

I went in the other week while on vacation looking for a gift for my niece. The kind gentleman that was there instantly struck up interest in what I was looking for. Must have been the store manager, he was sharply dressed, absolutely professional and courteous. Was REALLY happy with the service. They even gave me an extra pouch for the lovely gold bangle bracelet we picked out. I hope to visit again very soon. This will be my go to jeweller of preference. Loved Michael Hill.

The team at Michael Hill Broadway in particular Grace Gu were absolutely amazing in ensuring my ring was ordered promptly and magically delivered within the timeframe that was required. She was exceptionally professional in her approach and was able to deliver prompt updates whilst maintaining a sense of humour. Hard one to balance when a client is super stressed and enforcing pressure. Highly recommend visiting this store. Nothing is beyond reach! Keep smiling team!

Took my watch in for a new battery, & it's still under warranty, so it's a free service. Pretty happy with that. Lady was awesome. She also polished my Morganite ring. Super service, & super helpful. Horrible customer service. Went in yesterday to look for my wedding band and was told that if I wasn’t buying it yesterday I couldn’t have a try on of any bands. If I can’t try them on with my engagement ring how am I supposed to get an idea about what I want? She spoke down to me and had no respect for the fact that I wanted to search and look for my dream wedding band. Certainly never considering this store as it has left a bad taste in my mouth.

It is sad how can they treat the customers, very bad customer services in general. They are very rude and not professional at all. My fiance and I purchased almost everything in that store ( the jewellery) is good but because of their staff i would never come back there. Specially for a tall and quite big guy in that store... they should really review the staff before the hire someone.

I tried to get advice about ring sizing today and the lady was so dismissive. It was like I walked into a Cartier store -she was so rude and unhelpful. I had already chosen the ring and joined their membership program but she lost the sale within just that 2min interaction. I can see why they have so many 1 star reviews.

Horrible customer service!!!! I bought a care plan for mine and husband's wedding bands and even time I get to use it they stuff something up! Even though it's convenient for me as I work across the street, I'd rather drive 30km to different store then go there again!!

I just love shopping here. They have a nice collection of designs. Stuffs are super friendly. They will help you choose no matter what type of jewellery you are looking for. Highly recommended! You should definitely visit here if you want some good quality jewellery.
