Dr Miller ... I adore him. He's competent, lovely, funny, and easy to feel comfortable around. But what's even more important and why I am writing this review, he's also the Doc you want to see when your situation is a bit more - let's say - involved, outside of the mainstream. I had the ridiculously good fortune to randomly get an appointment with Dr Miller when I needed consultation RIGHT NOW on what to do with this very large fibroid I had just found out about earlier that day. Turns out, I came to the right person. He walked me through the options, and answered all questions I had (even those I did not have, but should have had) in a way that I could easily understand. I spent about an hour in his office, much of it talking through things from various angles. I told him what my decision was. He recommended that I should also got a second opinion - it's big-deal decision after all. I scheduled the minimally invasive surgery (MIS) on my way out. Also, got a second opinion through my employer's contracted service. The second opinion was: The thing is large, and while MIS was possible, many surgeons would not do it in the case due to the size. They suggested I'd check in with a “Center where they specialize in this”. Well, yes, I had that Specialist :), he pioneered MIS for this kind of thing. My experience of the surgery was nothing short of perfect. The people at UWMC are friendly, caring, professional, and extraordinarily good at what they do. This includes everyone I interacted with, from the surgical team, anesthesia team, the nurses, to the kitchen staff. The surgery went as planned. No complications of any kind, recovery is going well. I hear it was difficult, but hey, I was asleep :). Left the hospital the next day. Bottom line is, I highly recommend Dr. Miller. I recommend him without hesitation for anything you might need in his field. Here's the deal: Most surgeons could have removed the large fibroid, and safely. Many others, however, would have opted for a method that would have left me with a large scar, and a more difficult recovery, since the situation was outside of what MIS would generally be indicated for. Aside being happy that everything went well ... I am so very glad to not have that scar. Thank you, Doc :)

I was recently diagnosed with a large fibroid in my uterus and I called to schedule a consultation with Dr Miller. I did not realize I had his direct number and to my surprise, Dr Miller himself picked up the phone. Instead of simply redirecting me to his assistant, Dr Miller took the time to listen to my situation as I was worried at that time, comforted me and said he will make time to see me within a week. I already felt better. Dr Miller’s assistant called me back immediately and scheduled my appointment for the following week. Dr Miller spent upwards of an hour on my first visit, discussed all possible solutions with me and did due diligence to ensure that the proposed surgery will indeed fix my symptoms. Anticipating that I will have follow up questions, Dr Miller gave me his phone number so I can text as needed. It was a lot of information to digest and I had follow up questions. I texted Dr Miller with my questions the following day and within minutes, Dr sent a detailed and clear response that answered all my queries. Few days before the surgery, I texted again with another question and Dr Miller responded within minutes with a clear answer. On the day of the surgery, staff at UW took really good care of me. Most importantly, Dr Miller and his team performed the surgery so well that it did not feel I had a major surgery afterwards. I decided to stay overnight at the hospital and have been healing really fast since. I had a really good experience with Dr Miller where all through I could trust I was in really good hands!

I have been a patient of Dr. Heath Miller for about 3 years. He has done two surgical procedures on me for endometriosis issues,partial hysterectomy and very recently removing my left ovary, appendix and endo scarring. I am so very grateful for being able to have him as a surgeon and gynecologist. His work is always precise, detailed and done perfectly each time. His vast knowledge, patience and genuine care and concern about the patients issues is truly one of a kind. After each surgery, I have healed extremely quick and never any issues afterwards. I want to share with you how wonderful doctor Heath Miller is. If you have been searching for a caring intelligent surgeon who is a master of his craft, then you need to go to Dr Miller. I had been suffering from uterine fibroids for many years but was too scared to do a hysterectomy. After doing much research online, I was lucky enough to have come across Dr Miller. Dr Miller is one of the few experts in DaVinci robotic laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery. I had three small incisions that were smaller than your pinky nail 3 mm. The uterus was removed vaginally. I was up and walking the next day after an overnight stay. Dr Miller was extremely understanding, courteous, and patient with me. He answered all of my questions and my surgery was a success. I would highly recommend Dr Miller to anyone who needs an OBGYN surgeon.

I would like to share the extremely positive experience I had with Dr. Heath Miller and all the staff I encountered at the The Women's Health Center at UWMC Roosevelt and the UW Neighborhood South Lake Union in Seattle. Being a new patient and with an urgent medical condition, the office staff worked me in to Dr. Miller's busy schedule right away. Dr. Miller was very professional and patiently explained to me and my husband the nature of my problem and the possible causes. His words and bedside manner put us immediately at ease. He performed my surgery in a very well organized setting- UWMC Roosevelt- and he updated my husband immediately after my procedure. A few days later he called us personally with the pathology report and carefully explained the results. I could not have asked for a better experience!

Dr. Heath Miller has taken care of my entire family and I for years. He has operated on myself twice and provided care to both my sister and mother. He has helped us through the best of times, and the most difficult of times. He has provided exceptional surgical judgement when others failed or provided only traditional open surgery as opposed to minimally invasive options. He takes the whole person into consideration when offering care and advice, and I can’t think of a more gentle and knowledgeable physician. When I became pregnant with my beautiful baby girl, there is no one I trusted more than him to deliver her. He is a charm and a surgeon/physician other doctors refer their loved ones to.

Dr. Miller was my surgeon 5 years ago for an exploratory surgery looking for endometriosis. I was in incredible pain for years before seeing him and no other doctors really thought endometriosis was the cause. From what I remember, he said that the severity of my case was one of the most surprising he’s come across. My endometriosis was far worse than anyone expected. Because of his work during that surgery, I have been overall pain free these past five years. I do hope he’s still local and practicing when I try for a baby and need surgery again, because I know that he is the very best and is the only doctor I really trust.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Miller. I have been his patient for almost 9 years. Every encounter has been fantastic. He delivered both of my children via C-section without any problem. Recently, I had a myomectomy and I was very comfortable and confident going into the procedure, but most importantly, surgery turned out great; better than I expected. He has a gentle bedside manner. Dr. Miller is a warm, pleasant and very friendly person. I would highly recommend him to everyone and I think he is the best doctor around. Thank you for being my doctor!!

Dr Miller took on my daughter’s very difficult case. She is 19 years old and unable to have children due to a rare genetic disease. She also has epilepsy. Her seizure medication does not work when she has her period. Dr Miller was incredibly kind, thorough and responsive to all of our concerns. I had a surgery 16 years ago performed by Dr Miller and his photos from the surgery helped diagnose another severe bowel problem I had. We are so grateful for Dr Miller!

Dr. Miller was a true blessing for me. I had multiple medium to large fibroids and my case had additional complexities added because of my small torso, anemia etc. Dr. Miller was very patient with me throughout the process, and the surgery was successful with minimal blood loss and removal of all the fibroids. I cannot say enough about his knowledge , bedside manner, excellence in surgery procedure , and follow through. Dr. Miller has been my doctor and friend now for over 10 years. I have always dreaded my annual exam. And I still would prefer not to have them. I understand their importance. But I enjoy my time talking with Dr. Miller. He's extremely intelligent and well versed in many things. There are many more opportunities for this gentleman.
