When I say miner's gold single handedly made Research busy I am not exaggerating. I have lived in Research for the better part of 30 years and the shops were always pretty unremarkable, dead quiet and really only there for Friday night takeaway and popping to the shops for milk. Miner's Gold has created a parking calamity with how good it is, these days you're looping the block at times to get a park and this was never an issue til they opened. Their Toasties are incredible, Tuna Melt is my personal pick, coffee is sensational, staff are always friendly and happy to chat and they have great vegetarian and vegan options. Too many good things to say in a single review, but if you happen to be passing through our little known suburb this is the place to go.

Vegan Verde, Funguy, Vegan Shepard's pie and mushroom and cheddar pie are all awesome. The salad bowls (miner's bowl in particular) are also very good - but my vegetarian wife never struggles to find something good and vegans will be happy with the offerings.

I have been here twice and both times the coffee was absolutely brilliant/delicious, and both times the coffee was made by someone different. But the coffee was great. To me that shows the barista’s know their stuff. If I didn’t live in the southeast it would EASILY be my new local.Big choc chip cookie is pretty damn good too.

Nice toasties and decent coffee we came here from Ivanhoe specifically for the meatball toastie but they were sold out, fair enough as it was 1:30 when we got there. Ended up trying the Patty Mills and the Cubano both were toasted to perfection with nice flavours. The staff were friendly as well. Recommend stopping for lunch if you're driving by or in the area.

My family and I live within walking distance and have found our new favourite coffee shop! You couldn’t have come at a better time Miners Gold Cafe... Our COVID lifeline. We’re devastated you’re not open on Sundays... This morning, we walked past just to make sure you weren’t! We’ve tried the cappuccinos, lattes, chai lattes and GF chocolate banana cake... All incredible. Can’t wait to keep indulging.

Great mochas and coffee, the gourmet sausage rolls and pies are delicious, and the salad bowls are the best l have ever had, friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere, finally found a Cafe that l can frequent more often.

It’s very un professional when u have a happy customer who obviously enjoys coming here only to witness the staff/owners talk badly about that customer once they have left the shop Customer service is important and plenty more cafes that would probably appreciate their customers

The coffee here is very, very good but the toasties are the stars, and they’re among the best I’ve had in Melbourne (and I’m comparing to inner-city places with 20-minute queues). I’m pretty sure I’ve tried all of them by now and none have let me down.

A touch of the Northcote cafe scene has arrived right on our doorstep in Research. This has to be up there with the best coffee in the diamond valley area and we feel super lucky that this our local walking distance cafe. On top of the

Great little coffee shop, with the best coffee in the area. They also do the most delicious toasted sandwiches, that are a must. Vegan options available, in fact the Vegan Verde is my favourite toastie. Highly recommend.

This is my morning coffee stop. I'm sometimes a bit too early but never denied a coffee. The coffee is fantastic and consistent across the 3 or 4 Barista's I'm familiar with. Almonds croissant is a must too.

New kids on the block with the sooolid coffee. My wife and I both agree that this is one of the best coffees going round. And really diggin their food selection. The toasted sangas are tasty!

Best coffee in Research and the mushroom toasties are spot on. Friendly and enviromentally concious staff make this place 10/10.
