I've been coming here for dine in & takeaway for about 10 years and 100% its the best Indian restaurant all rounder for me. Its a bit of a hidden gem off the main road which I like because it means the place is never loud & busy. I love it as a place to catchup with friends where we can eat great food & actually have a long conversation without shouting or feeling like we need to move on quickly. My favourite dishes are the eggplant masala, palak paneer & dumaloo kashmiri (which is chef special & I've never seen it elsewhere). The serving size for me is perfect as the flavours do all the talking. I see some reviewers mentioning serving size but really, its about the flavour not a buffet or scoff as much as you can! My friend really likes the lamb seek kabab masala. The rice, mango lassi and roti are also spot on. The staff, especially the owner are just lovely. The owner always gives us a friendly smile and a discount as repeat customers. Everytime I try another Indian place, I always regret and think "I miss Mint Leaf". The family pack for takeaway is an absolute bargain. Other times I've made a big order for a work function and they get the order and timing spot on.

The two of us had Vegetables Vindaloo and Dhal Makhani on Kashmiri Pulau, with plain naan. The food was perfectly well prepared and came out quite quickly. Both of the waiters that served us were friendly without being overly fussy, and answered questions with interest. The serving sizes are small, as is quite typical in Indan restaurants, so there's room for an entree or desert. The vindaloo was just spicy enough to clear the nose, without being intense, and the pulau was a delicious complement to the meal. It seems there were enough patrons of sub-continent appearance to give us confidence that the quality and flavours appealed to those who should know. I found the lighting and decor a bit harsh. I always prefer warm white globes rather than "daylight" or cool white. But overall, very good service, clean, tasty, easy parking... a good find. I'd return without hesitation.

We have been going to The Mint Leaf for quite a few years. After highly recommending it to our friends we decided to go over the weekend for a night out together. So very sad to say but it was truly a night I never imagined it would be. The service was absolutely dreadful. Meals came out at different times, I had to knock on the kitchen door to order our main meals ( by this time the place was nearly empty) ! When finally the meals came out the dishes were so small with four small pieces of beef in a dish full of sauce. So disappointed as this was our favourite go to for a fabulous Indian meal. On leaving not any of the tables were cleared/ cleaned in the restaurant which looked so messy

Walked in with my wife and we were hungry and looking forward to some nice indian food, it was very quiet with only 2 tables occupied, the waitress was strange, sat us down with some water, then went off to serve the others, we had some of our wine we brought and waited over 10 minutes to receive a menu, the waitress knew we were waiting but never bothered to be polite and say she would be with us soon. That was enough, my wife and I got up and left after about 15 mins as we had not received a menu even but that stage. Naturally we will not be recommended this to anyone nor will we ever go near the place again, if I was in charge of that restaurant I would fire the waitress on the spot.

Wow Wow Wow! What a magnificent experience I had last night in this restaurant. I ordered distinctive food items from butter chicken to woodland mushrooms to try both veg and non-veg dishes. It was just mouth-watering presentation of servings and scrumptious flavours. Very good portions, different scrummy dishes accompained with the best customer service experience by a guy ned naveen . He was so bang on with recommending chef special dishes and serving at his best. Would surely recommend to visit ☺. 5 stars are even less for such delicious food and service. Cheers!

I have been ordering Uber Eats from here since moving to the area, and it has never disappointed. But last night, I decided to write a note requesting no dairy, peanuts or wheat. The restaurant took the time to call me to check that cashews were okay and if the cream could be replaced with coconut cream - I was so touched! As always the food was outstanding (I don't think I've had such good curry since I was in the UK) and will continue to tell everyone to get their Indian food from here.

For entree we had half a tandoori chicken and the onions. The chicken was dry and lacked the tandoori flavour, we enjoyed the onions. Our 3 mains were beef masala, lamb rogan josh and prawn dish. They were good, all the meats were tender, only criticism is the servings were smaller than what we've had before. The low point was the naan. The 3 servings were dry with an odd flavour, well below par. Overall 3 stars

A definite recommendation. Great value, good friendly service, great food. Had the Butter Chicken, Beef Bombay, Daal Tadka and Prawn Masala. With Samosas and Tandoori Platter starters, finished with Pistachio Kulfi for desert. The flavours of the Samosas and dipping sauce were amazing. The Butter Chicken was beautiful. The Prawn Masala the smells and fresh tastes, lovely. Very spoiled by great Indian food in Melbourne, will be going back to this one for sure.

02/10/2020 have returned to Mint Leaf but always pickup. Great food great can't be faulted. 8 years prior - Ordered food to be delivered, advised it would be 55 minutes. I rang after 1.5 hours to be told it would be another 10 minutes and finally arrived on the 2 hour mark. Was given a 50cent discount for my trouble. Food was fine but will not use them again, too many other good Indian places in the area that understand customer service.

Been coming here for over 4 years. Authentic indian food, such a modest and honest place. Favourite dishes are the eggplant masala, palak paneer, aloo gobi and prawn vindaloo! Also definitely order garlic naan with your meal. The service has always been great every time I come here - polite, efficient and warm. The ambience is also really tranquil and relaxing. Please try Mint Leaf if you haven't already!

Been here because of the entertainment voucher and got the takeaway. Most tender chicken and paneer used in their dishes. Takeaway quantity is generous (although dine in wasn't that generous), friendly staff and quality food makes this my favourite indian place. Not many indian places win my heart. This one is the best. Recommended dishes:- Madras chicken Palak paneer Chicken tikka masala Butter paneer

This is a very polished restaurant with good service, food and table settings. They even had proper wine glasses; although I prefer them bigger. But that’s just my bent. They opened on a Monday night for only a few people, and the staff was very pleasant. The only somewhat downside was a tiny window-mounted aircon heater that struggled to keep the place warm. I would happily return here again though.

I love this place!!! I never used to eat Indian food but once I tried Mint Leaf now I can't stop. The Chicken Korma and Butter Chicken are my favorites but I also like the Eggplant Masala and Malai Kofta. Wash it all down with some Mango Lassi and you will feel in heaven. I usually order directly from the website for delivery. It's more affordable for myself. I can't recommend this place more.

The food has always been good. But it's definitely not curry in a hurry! A lot of the food is often sensational. Whether getting take away or eating in, the service time is often horrifically slow. I've waited more than 45 minutes for my order to be ready before, and the slow service has caused me to not eat there. I've thought *shall I go to Mint Leaf?* *No, I simply don't have the time.*

Delicious, flavoursome food. I got paneer butter masala and mixed vegetable korma as well as rice, roti and Samosas. Rice was a good portion for small. I ordered takeout through the website which was very easy.

After a really bad experience with the local pizza place, this little gem was a godsend to find. Have been wanting a good mango chicken, and this place had it, was so damn good. Also the chickpea potato masala my wife had was pretty yummy too. Will definitely come back again.

Go to mintleaf a lot and just love the food, but last night bought a family pack and was extremely disappointed. Dahl was very watery with very little substance, Rojan Josh and butter chicken would have been lucky to have had 6 pieces of meat in each. Come on mint leaf up your game

Came on NYE - so very quiet. Dishes delish (we always get the butter chicken!) and reasonably priced.

Hidden in a quiet corner in Heidelberg is this gem which serves so e good Indian dishes. The authentic Indian flavours can be tasted in this customer friendly restaurant. The service was fast. I enjoyed the biryani and the breads with tbe lamb curry. Parking is an issue.

Excellent food and excellent service for a reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to my partner’s dietary needs. We didn’t have to wait too long for food, which boasted complex flavours and delectable textures. I highly recommend the saag gosht.

First visit to the Mint Leaf during lockdown#4. Food was delicious - we had vegetarian dishes. My teenage son thought it was the best of the local Indian restaurants. The restaurant looks beautiful and we are looking forward to eating in. Lovely local business.

Served chicken tika which was raw inside. 2 curries ordered, both as bland as jar sauce. Tried to charge for the raw chicken dish. I have had worse, but that's the best I can say.

Best Indian restaurant so far in the area with exceptional quality of food. We ordered malai kofta, kadhai paneer, chicken tikka masala and everything was wonderful. Also properly cooked Garlic naan and masala kulcha were amazing. Highly recommended.

They took order for big bottle of soft drinks but they sent cans instade.!! If you don't have product then why did you took order? And Biryani- No spices.. No salt.. no test.. its just normal rice with boiled chicken.. ! WORST Biryani ever I ate..!

I come there and order chicken pakora and samossa.Chicken pakora is good but samossa's taste is really bad. I think they forget to put salt in that.They are so costly but service is poor. PLEASE IMPROVE YOUR SAMOSSA'S FILLING AND PASTRY AS WELL.

Absolute delight. My go to fine dining as well as takeaway place in town. Flavors are amazing, especially the cottage cheese (tikka paneer) is yum. Service is fast and never had a delay. Would visit again soon.

We ordered home delivery. We struggled to meet the $30 minimum, so added deserts and what not. Now we have a yummy banquet! Such excellent value! We are now your regular, and will tip from now on.

Absolutely bland indian food without flavours and spices. Even a home made food is better and well cooked. Such a disappointment. Too much food Color in curry and breads are thin and hard.

First time here. Butter chicken fantastic, very tasty and excellent saffron rice...fluffy and yum!!!! Very friendly service. The lady out the front was extremely nice...Will be back.

Worst Biryani I ever had. The quantity is very less for the priced money. They simply mix rice and chicken and give you as a biryani. Also the biryani doesn’t come with a raita.

This place is super calm, brilliant service and wonderful authentic Indian food. You don't leave feeling like you've eaten a bucket of oil - the flavours are divine! Five stars.
