Rented their venue for my daughter's graduation party. Through the back company called within sodo, this is there company that the owner of monkey loft has to rent separate areas of his venue that he has split into sections. The venue is very expensive and they rent it to you with a bar quota of $3000 dollar minimum and also tax on a $600 fee for bar tender fee to cover their payment for their workers for your event on top of a $500 secure deposit the swindle you out of in the end.the bartenders they have working are all there to set you up to get money out of you. They over price the drinks. I bought a double shot of Don Julio blanco with pineapple back they charged me $20 dollars one of my guests went up and purchased same drink and was charged $40. Then my DJ had a tab open at bar and they let someone run up a $200 tab on his bill then came to me asking for me to solve the problem, while I'm trying to entertain my guests. instead Of solving it their selves and way after the fact. To top that off we were told that my guests would get regular served drinks from the gun at the discretion of them ordering at bar . Instead they took it upon themselves to set out tubs filled with bottled waters and canned sodas and tried to bill me per container at the end of the night totaling $1600 dollars and expecting me to pay after I over exceeded my bar quota of $3000 (Smh), they also provided horrible customer service throughout and after the night and at the end of the night someone from their staff eat our food we set aside in the kitchen. When everything was brought to the owners attention instead of investigating and making things right he tried to hustle talk me into making it seem like things were my fault. Never will I ever recommend or do business with these shady evil people again." Please Do Not spend your money" and "support bad businesses"like this, that take away from our city community just to get rich and not give a service that is of high quality, genuinely and with morals.

Monkey Loft, a luminous constellation in the city's nightlife. This vibrant venue ignites the night with a dazzling blend of music, energy, and camaraderie. From the moment you step through its doors, you're transported into a world where beats resonate with your heartbeat. The dance floor, a cosmic playground, is where the real magic happens. It's a place where people from all walks of life unite to move, groove, and celebrate the symphony of sound. The atmosphere is electric, and the vibes are infectious. Speaking of magic, let me tip my hat to bartender Tyson. His concoctions are nothing short of alchemical wonders, infusing each glass with flavors that dance on your taste buds. A true mixologist, he's not just crafting drinks; he's crafting experiences. Monkey Loft is not just a club; it's a universe of joy, where the night takes on a life of its own. Every visit is a chapter in the book of memories. It's where you find community, connection, and pure, unadulterated fun. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could, I'd give it more stars. Monkey Loft shines bright, and it's the quintessential spot for anyone seeking a nightlife experience that's out of this world.

Excellent cocktail lounge and dance club in the SODO neighborhood- in the summer they have great rooftop parties on wednesday and thursday from 7PM to 11PM that draws a diverse crowd including young folks and some middle aged clubgoers. The DJ's are excellent, great views of the city and they serve food for the summer rooftop parties and there is a lower level if you want a change of scenery from the rooftop. On weekends they have events that often run from 10AM to 10PM with special guest DJ's (my guess is it draws a very young crowd). Only downsides are not a great place to get via public transit (50 and 21 buses do stop somewhat nearby- street parking is available for those with a car), like most seattle clubs there is a lopsided gender ratio-last time I was there last week it appeared to be about 85 percent male (its usually about 75 percent male from my estimation the several other times I have visited) and cover is a bit high from 15 to 25$ (but in seattle pretty much everything is expensive). In a city with generally mediocre nightlife this place is definitely worth checking out on a weekday or weekend (or both).

Another interesting place and more of a club than bar. Though for the life of me I can't figure out why it's called the Monkey Loft. There was a cover the night I went, so be sure to bring some cash. There's multiple floors here. Upon entrance you immediately go up stairs. Dance floor and bar 1 are here as well as a sofa a love seat. Pretty cool, huh? If you go up the stairs, you get up to the roof, where edm was pounding and tons of people dancing. I believe there was a spot to order drinks up here, literally out of a hole in the wall. If you go back the way you came, there's a stairwell that takes you to the first floor bar. It's pretty standard here with normal tables and the music is a bit more quiet here. There were some highs and lows to the service, but overall it was OK, though we did get a discount for having 8 people. The drinks themselves weren't bad, though not great. I love this place! I have gone to a handful of events over the last couple years. They host a variety of events throughout the week/month and the kind of music/vibe varies depending on who is playing. The rooftop is pretty sweet and the larger lower level dance floor that they open for big events is amazing. The cover has been ok so far, ranging from $15 to smaller events to $50 for a larger party I attended. Check before you go! The people at the door have been pretty chill and the bartenders are nice. Drinks are decent and not terribly expensive. Sometimes the lines for the restroom are long, but that is to be expected. I feel like this place attracts cool people who like good music and are looking to vibe, chat, and dance. Nothing bad to say about this place at all; I think it is a pretty typical club experience but stands out compared to other spaces in Seattle.

The first time I had the pleasure of visiting monkey loft, it was just that, a loft apartment with a couch, a bedroom and bathroom. if people were monkeys that would have completed it's moniker. There was one turntable and a guy playing a bucket and a string/stick bass. A banjo singer wailed on a mic. It was awesome. The years that followed led to it becoming a staple in the house music scene. To the best of their abilities the douchebagery is kept to a minimum and the positive energy is kept high. The 4am close is a pleasant welcome for Seattle's ever early to close persona. If you like music, pretty people, beautiful rooftop views, and late nights... You'd be a fool for not attending at least one event here.

Updating my review after my friend had the unfortunate situation of being roofied. While I cannot fault the business for bad guests with ill intent, I do take issue with the lack of response from security once emailed. I do not feel safe returning here and I'm very grateful my friend and I were vigilant and made it home without further incident. I wish there was some response, even if it was just an acknowledgement. Very disappointed in this business. --- Original review: This is one of my favorite clubs in Seattle as it has a rooftop space when it gets too warm inside. I have never felt too crowded and constricted. they have a very good system and it's well run.

Great place, only place, to forget your woes and dance. Fantastically diverse crowd includes every culture. Making it an all Around great place to dance. After two hours of dancing, I discovered the outdoor deck which was a welcome reprieve from the upstairs dance floor. Then I wandered about and discovered the first floor. What a club! But your ticket in advance, if you can, to avoid the “line.” (I think they punish you for paying at the door, but in the kindest way - they make you hear the music, get into the spirit, while in a line outside Go, have fun, celebrate the diversity of our planet and forget your silly life.

I’ve been to a few events hosted at this venue. There are three levels that I’ve seen with the main entrance leading up to the second floor. From there you can either go down to the street level room or up to the rooftop with has some pretty views behind the DJ booth. Parking can be difficult to secure as there are other venues close by that compete for it and it’s not clear which spaces are ok to use sometimes. Lines for the bathroom and drinks take a very long time to the point where some patrons will leave to urinate out in the street.

I have been here late night. The entry cover fee can be high, but the place is worth it if you are looking for an after hour place. But, expect some random guys to skip the line and get in front of you, rude doorman, bad service and mostly rude people.

I love this place. Amazing spacious rooftop views with the most juicy house/progressive vibes. Friendly crowd, people aren’t afraid to let loose and get down which I love. Multiple levels with bars and music for different vibes. They care very much about female safety which my friends and I greatly appreciate. The fact that they’re open so late is amazing. Only thing is last time I went cover was $40 which is ridiculous.

First time here a week ago, had a great time! Some good edm, great crowd, everybody dancing, doing their own thing, and nobody creepy. Music and lights were good, pretty good bass (although you can never have too much). Kind of cool to have 2 levels, upstairs dance floor, and downstairs chill out area. We'll definitely come back in the summer to check out the roof top. Can't think of anything they can improve, tbh.

  • Gabriel Galicia

This place is a vibe to dance the night away but unfortunately when they have a big name dj come perform it seems like they have terrible wait times. Waited in line for 2 hours just to get in because we had no pre tickets in advance but even if you have a ticket you also have to wait a long time. If you have the patience to wait go for it but I guarantee you other clubs could get you in way faster than this place.

Awesome club that has two levels to it with multiple bars. During late summer, they host shows from 10pm to 10am on a beautiful rooftop. The staff is incredibly personable. The doorman gave us water while we waited outside for it to open since it was a hot day, and the lady at the ticket counter was so friendly and welcoming. Amazing music. Can't recommend enough.

  • Ryan “Giovanni”

Amazing staff all the way from the door to the bartenders and security in the back. Drinks are great and not overpriced like some other nightclubs *cough*Q!*cough* I love going to Monkey, and recommend one of the 12 hour parties during this time of year on Saturdays

Honestly don't waste your time. We got tickets and skipped the line, entered inside and wow. We we a bit disappointed. A massive line of people outside, but inside is dead, there was a longer line to the toilet than on the dance floor, just stay at home :)

Went there for the first time. I loved it. I had a great experience. My wife lost her phone, I called it, someone had already turned it in at the lower bar. Great vibe. Security gave off an odd vibe though. The bartenders were friendly and made great drinks. The sound system at both stages was good. The beats were clear.

  • Phuong Tran

I got there after hearing loads of people mentioned it. Everything about this place is cool! From front door security guy, lady ticket seller, staff bartenders, and the djs and the people dancing around. I was impressed it went smooth on my first time there! Will tell my friends and be back!!

  • HB

The dance floor, sound system and lighting are wonderful. The crowd that comes here is also great. The coat fee is reasonable and there is plenty of free parking near by. The party goes on till 3am. A great place to spend your Friday evening dancing to your hearts content.

  • Artem Bidnichenko

The best club in Seattle. Maybe the only actual club in Seattle. Everything else is just a bottle service rip off with low quality DJs and unreasonable covers. If you ever partied in Europe and want to experience something similar, come here!

Monkey loft is super fun! Multiple dance floors, I loved going to the outdoor patio dance floor before the covid vaccine was available. The main attraction is the music for me. I had the sushi once and it was ok, not anything I would get again. More

One of my favorites! Best for after parties, and deep bass electro performances. The sound is very good and the space is medium in size. After the last call, they often open up the deck which is a very good way to end the night. The

Discovered Decked Out last night. I had been missing a dance experience in the pandemic times, and our family still eschews indoor events. Having an outdoor space to get a groove on with in a LGBTQ-friendly vibe is downright awesome.

  • Daisy Moore

Super fun! The upstairs patio is awesome! Bartenders were great and fast, drinks were good, overall a fun dancy night club feel. The area gets a little sketchy late night so just be safe but for the most part it was a great time!

  • Kelly Myril

They need more air in this place. People were funky sticky.. The arm pits were on fire. Also the alcohol was watered down.. 20. 0 cover charge for what!? Bad drinks and obnoxious people. Open windows and get better Dj’s

Amazing rooftop venue with good vibes. The perfect setting for melodic house music, dancing and having a good time. Only downside was the food. I paid $15 for some “Vegetable Skewers” and just look at what they gave me

Great club but ya have to pregame. Multiple bars without bar backs & longer than expected lines. Not helped by patroons ordering shaker cocktails at the rooftop bar?! Oof

Awesome nightclub with multiple stories as well as an outside dj area. Bar is on the second floor, so you'll have to be making multiple trips If you plan on drinking. Plenty of tables and great vibe as well.

  • Cameron Lowell

Cool but small space in SoDo with nice decor and music. Drinks are pricy but beer selection isn't bad. Main detractor was that, like most SoDo places, it has a very bro-esque vibe. Service was okay.

  • John Bennett

Fantastic. Was looking for a local vibe with house music and this is the place. Plenty of parking on the street. There's two areas, the loft and the rooftop deck. Incredible views of the city!

  • Gali

upscale but not uptight. great vibes. all kinds of spots on different levels with plants, a nice blend of indoor and outdoor spaces, innovative drinks. pleasantly surprised and plan to return

  • Aga Mad

The only place in Seattle that is consistently good with music. The only discomfort is not enough bathrooms. We end up not buying drinks so we wouldn’t have to spend a half night in line:)

I made out with Kermit the frog while drunk at a show and had a very nice time :) Everyone here is super friendly 10/10 can always recommend meeting a dude named Tom in a Naruto vest.

Hands down the best late night place to dance in Seattle. When the loft/ roof outdoor space is open, it can’t be beat. Attracts the most talented artists from all around the world!

Love this nightclub, always amazing times with really great staff. Must check out the city view on the rooftop when it's open ️ the tiki monkey drink is so yummy! …

The house of the house. Friendly staff, safe place, they watch your belongings even if coat check is full. Reasonable beverage prices.

Great club with good variety of music; rooftop is great (when it’s open). Suggest buying tickets on-line to avoid waiting in line.

Be careful at this place some rift raft spiked my girlfriends drink on her birthday. I’m just thankful she’s ok.
