Parking garage
"I use to work at valley fair prior to the redesigned parking structure"
"My advice: if you can avoid it, don't go in the late afternoon on a Saturday - a lot of circling looking for a spot with the other 99-some cars looking, too"
"I went this last Saturday, and the Monroe parking garage was definitely the wrong place to try and park"
"This is a solid parking lot, once you figure out the most efficient way to get in"
"A garage review, Google? I'm unsure how many garages Valley Fair has, but when spots were limited out on the lots, I discovered that this one was a convenient way to go towards the Nordstrom, etc"
I use to work at valley fair prior to the redesigned parking structure. Yes there more space but traffic has not been made more efficient. It's more cluttered now for weekends and or when shopping is just a must. Parking on the lower levels (1 & 2) are a pain. I have yet to find the parking finder lights useful. Lights stay green but someone in the parking spot lol. Just getting in and out of the parking structure is hard too. Driving space is narrow especially going to the corners. If you really want ease of parking, go to the roof floor. Save yourself the stress of finding a spot on the first two levels. Only downside is you'll have to wait awhile when leaving the structure lol. Easy 1 hr of your time you'll not get back lol
My advice: if you can avoid it, don't go in the late afternoon on a Saturday - a lot of circling looking for a spot with the other 99-some cars looking, too. There is an indicator showing number of spots available but when I would go down that aisle, the 4 spots that were indicated as available were not there! Drat! I ended up just going towards higher ground at the very top of the garage where there were plenty of spots. The only good thing is that exiting I could just maintain a downward circle and avoid all the other cars that had driven in desperately looking for parking like I had a while ago. Whomp whomp.
I went this last Saturday, and the Monroe parking garage was definitely the wrong place to try and park. The first level was completely full, and I'm not sure why, but one of the ramps to go to the upper levels was closed off from the lower level. Getting to the other ramp was completely useless as it was blocked off with people who were trying to exit the garage. Since the garage was so full, the line to exit was extremely long and backed up with people who couldn't find parking. Definitely not a bad parking garage during the week though. You can easily find parking then.
This is a solid parking lot, once you figure out the most efficient way to get in. And that's my little secret so the hoards of traffic don't do the same. Inside there are number and light indicators to make finding empty spots easier. But while they worked well when the garage first opened, they seem to be mostly useless now. There is a mezzanine level that can be confusing for the uninitiated. From the mezzanine level, there is no direct access to the mall.
A garage review, Google? I'm unsure how many garages Valley Fair has, but when spots were limited out on the lots, I discovered that this one was a convenient way to go towards the Nordstrom, etc. shops & food court. The elevator from this garage if you're by the Forest Ave side doesn't open right into the mall; I've been with people who got confused why they were exiting into another garage level.
The red / green lights above the parking spaces are helpful when looking for an empty spot. This is my preferred area to park in. Its super convenient for the stores I visit most in Valley Fair. Children's Place, CPK, VS, Fresh Society, Mainland, Women's Macy's, Vans, and of course the food court. Old Navy isn't a far walk at all either.
A lot of parking spaces at Monroe Parking Garage - it is to park at Westfield Valley Fair. The first two hours are free, and every hour after that it would be $1 extra per hour. I like how it has the lights that go over/under the ceiling to signify which spots are occupied or free. Easy checkout process when exiting.
Well maintained garage with electronic indicators for the available spaces in each section. As from the 3rd hour on the parking is paid now, we tested the process: there are 2-3 fee machines in the lobby and paying was quick. Funny, seems like when the stores in the mall close, the barriers opened up automatically.
Wonderful... until they charge to park there. It is clean. It is what one would want in a garage. Just again when they charge, it is all over. Why would one pay.... the shopping center is a white "ELEPHANT ." Quite a few shop are missing. I think they are off there game. The times have pasted the b.y
Dont know how to start rating the parking garage but the entrance from Monroe street was not a great design..To make right turn from inside back out before heading out to Monroe street was so narrowly. Driving a GMC Denali you will need to back up before making out right to Monroe street. …
It's a parking garage, what else do u want to know? It's big, has many spaces, usually has available spots on the top floors. The inflow / outflow situation is well engineered to keep cara moving, however the following street Monroe can get backed up.
Crowded! But is a modern parking garage. There are signs that tell you the number of spots occupied and clear exit signs. The garage has easy access to the mall. Overall the design is good, it's just that the mall can be more popular than I'd like.
Plenty of parking spots,. and the last few times we visited,. not busy. But finding how to get in and out can be a challenge especially with the narrow lanes where there are not yet functioning ticket booths.
Hate getting into and out of this place especially at closing time. The pay parking is a joke. Coming off either freeway is always congested. Westfield mall just added another cha-ching in their pockets
This place was do.packed and so.much traffic trying to get in the garage from and to Steven's Creek Blvd.. Way too crowded on a Saturday,! Hard to find parking. Long lines into and out of the garage.
Plenty of spots but hard to navigate and too many people are allowed to back in to parking. Would be nice to start ticketing anyone who isn't head-in so they quit backing up the lines.
Green light ,red light is great . May be a yellow light for curbside pick up? I have seen so many people trying to park but they cant. Most of the time it will slow down the traffic.
The first floor and second floor always have traffic during weekend, but there are a lot of parking spot on the top floor. Hope they can fix this problem.
The bike parking there seems to be at a great place. Just beside the uber pick up and a lot of people coming inside and outside through the gate.
Love it. Clean parking garage. No trouble. Simple payment machines. Parked there for Nordstrom and other stores. Can get busy later in the day.
It's a parking garage, what do you expect. On the upside the rooftop parking is almost always near vacant, which is great on a crowded Sunday.
Clean parking. love the fact that it has indicators to let know which spaces are available. Free for first 2 hours and then $1 per hour
Why does a parking garage have it's own stars??? Well i mean it was a good parking garage i guess, the spaces were wide ♀️ …
Very disappointed that we now have to pay to spend our money...!! Will avoid returning as much as possible.
Very confusing parking lot, I had no idea how to get to an upper level. The parking was cheap though.
Very good parking facility, but you MUST get there early! After 12 PM, parking becomes very tight!
Charging is on the 1st and 2nd floors. Hope there isnt a non hybrid in those spots...
Clean easy to look for the spot. 2 hours free, come in, just pick up the ticket.
Very nice, clean specially at night I love the bright lights in the garage.
Huge parking space.week ends crowds are exceptional.space was full.
Parking garage, not much to say. There was enough room to park here
Good parking space except for the elevator out of order
Its a garage, and you can park 5 stars!!! …
Great parking for San Jose downtown activities.
Parking lot for West valley shopping complex
Great parking lot. I hope it was lit better
Traffic can be heavy during weekends
Monroe can easily get full....
Very busy
