"This place has been around since my childhood (20+ years) and there's good reason for it! Great local grocery store that's kitty corner from the Montlake library, directly next to the neighborhood dry cleaners--you can't miss it! Very ideal for those "Oh no, I forgot ______ that I need for dinner!" Or "Would really prefer not to have to go to the big grocery store when all I need is; this, that and those!" And for a small grocery store, I personally think they're very reasonably priced, especially for such convenience as well as the fact that you're definitely paying for quality over quantity there! And now that "Hop In" is long gone, don't forget to support the little guy"
"Excellent selection and fair, affordable pricing"
"Don't give your money to them"
"I'm always surprised at the extensive inventory in Mont's Market"
"2 pieces of turkey on a sandwich and bacon was pre cooked but still cold after toasting "

And now that "Hop In" is long gone, don't forget to support the little guy. Mostly friendly staff, great selection of necessities as well as items you wouldn't find anywhere else. Whether you need a couple of things, or a whole grocery list, swing on by Monts Market so they can stick around for another 20+ years! The aisles may be a little tight, but it's simply because they're trying to pack everything in so you don't have to go to the "big guys," besides, if you go at the right time of day, you may have the luxury of having the store all to yourself as I've had the pleasure of my last couple of visits and you can't beat that!
Excellent selection and fair, affordable pricing. I've been coming here since i moved to the neighborhood about two years ago. Though small, the grocery/deli has a superb selection of shelf/pantry/dairy products, many local and regional choice brands. Their produce section is limited, but in a pinch there's always a few organic veggies to choose from. I usually shop at the Central Co-op, and Mont's carries many of the same brands, at lower prices ! That's why I shop here not only for emergencies, but also for my weekly purchases. Support this neighborhood store so it can stick around! Owned and operated by a wonderful Korean family, friendly and kind staff, who keep early-to-late hours, and have kept the store open even through these days of snow that have shut down most of the city. Grateful to have this convenience in Montlake.
Don't give your money to them. I wanted to support this mom and pop store originally, but they really left a bad impression on me. They hired a new cashier and they inputed my total amount wrong, overcharging me $72. I never got my money back. When I called the owner (the wife) she said I had to come in the store to get my refund, but I told her I live far away and didn't have time to go back. So I tried to get my bank to play the middle man. Mont's never gave me a receipt so I couldn't dispute my incorrect charge with my bank. Always ask for a receipt if you go here, they never give you one if you don't ask I guess. When I called the owner a second time she accused me of trying to take money from them, yelling at me. Save your money and go support a more honest business.
I'm always surprised at the extensive inventory in Mont's Market. It's like a miniature version of Whole Foods with organics, specialty items, and luxury treats. This store really understands the neighborhood, offering all those necessary items for making the perfect dinner, with drinks! Great hours, very nice owners, and satisfying hot sandwiches, too!
2 pieces of turkey on a sandwich and bacon was pre cooked but still cold after toasting . It could have easily been done correct , then i let them know the cheese was not even melted feom toasting the sandwich. Bacon was still cold. She put the whole sandwich in the microwave and tried serving it to me.. questionable food serving practices
Great selection of international foods! Large wine and beer selection as well as non-alcoholic bevaeges and treats. Good prepared Asian foods and good hot sandwiches made fresh. Food deli and produce selections as well as household items. Great option if you need something and don't want to deal with a supermarket.
Great Store! Very convenient location! Also, very good selection and foods and drinks. Except, the employees aren't that nice. A little more kindness would be very welcome. Considering there's another store with a a better selection a block away with nice employees, it can be tempting to go there instead.
This is just down the street from my apartment building and very convenient when I forget certain items on my big shopping trips to Trader Joe's or QFC. It IS a bit overpriced for most items which is why I use it sparingly for smaller purchases. However staff is so friendly and helpful!
They lost my business. The wife is very disrespectful and controlling to paying customers. I was happy to pay the steep prices, but once they hired a new worker who said, "Look, they tip me. Why don't you?" I stopped going
I’m not thrilled about the prices. Or the wife’s attitude. But I’m grateful we have something down the street when I run out of food and don’t want to go far. The wine prices are reasonable and there’s a large selection.
The hell do you *mean* it takes "10 minutes" to microwave a burrito. You just don't want to serve poor people, you elitist dingus. Don't even know that there's microwave instructions on the packaging, are you serious?
it's a little small and kinda pricy, but it's convenient, it has a decent selection of food and a sizeable selection of wine for the size, and the staff has been nice. the sandwiches are reasonably good, too.
This place is what it is. It serves its purpose. They have an okay wine/beer selection and your basic needs. Deli sandwiches will fill your hunger needs, but not spectacular. Staff is nice.
Wonderful, helpful people working here and great selection for a small market. It’s no mini mart! I was very pleasantly surprised when I entered and now visit regularly.
Staff was rude and unhelpful. Walked in and asked a question, immediately left. Hopefully someone opens another spot over here that can be welcoming to the community
Wonderful little corner store with all the dry goods and necessities. The veggies and fruits aren't the crispest, but the pantry fare is incredible.
Absolutely perfect place ! Has everything ive ever wanted out of a store, plus the most kind guy behind the counter. Dont be shy about this place :)
I call it Months Miracle Mart. Small, but great food. Very good deli. Good sales. Everything else is super expensive. The nicest people work there.
Excellent selection in a small store. Very nice and helpful staff. And they have reasonable prices, MUCH better than the Montlake Market.
Cute neighborhood store selling good quality basic everyday foods and vegetables. Selection is limited but covers most necessary stuff.
Good selection, especially good wine inventory, more sauces, spices, and quality prepared foods than usual neighborhood market.
Great variety, top shelf items, good deli selection, as well as the usual corner store necessities! Excellent kind staff :-)
Love this market! Fresh veggies, beer and ice cream- what more can you want! Lots of vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options!
Little market with some basic supplies for daily needs. There aren't many meat options, just chicken and shrimp.
Great neighborhood store. Excellent wine selection and staples. Owners are super friendly and helpful.
Best selection of wines and organic foods. The only thing that could be better is if it were larger!!
Wonderful selection and prices. Everyone I've encountered that works there is so friendly and nice!
