First of all Who Runs this Place❗❗ Is there a manager or owner at this site because some of the Women that Run this store act like HOODRATS❗❗RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL and HATEFUL ❗ FOR NO REASON ❗❗ The tall skinny girl with the dreads is the Only Respectful one in this store. I've been going to this store for the last 3 months and They always ask you the name for your order and I tell them my name is Nadine (NAH-DEEN). Everytime I tell them my name they say oh NAY-DEEN and deliberately pronounce my name the wrong way so I would say no, I'm Jamaican, it's pronounced Nah-DEEN for some reason this makes thm upset so they start calling me What they want refusing to use my correct name. It's WEIRD, IGNORANT and GHETTO. I'm from a different culture and they refuse to Respect it for No reason. One Wednesday night 12/6/23, I ordered food and they ask me my name again and I told them its NAH-DEEN and offcourse they stated with the Ghetto Nonsense. I went to pick up my ordered they kept .repeating my name over and over . They did it so much they even called the other customer NAY-DEEN by accident. Weird. Then when I was leaving I heard the girl say that she can't Stand me. Its Crazy because I've done nothing to them. I literally just ordered my food, they asked me my name, I give it to them, the don't like the way my name is pronounced so they get mad at me and try to attack me. That's it❗It's WeIrD and Ghetto and not to mention IGNORANT❗ Lack of education and exposure to other cultures and countries will make you dumb and Ignorant. Then you had another girl that was talking my payment being RUdE and speaking to me like I'm one of her kids and yelling "I'm ready to get the hell outta here, I wana go home❗ Like why are you yelling while dealing with a customer..smdh.. Today was my VERY last time at this spending my money here!!!! I place my order for a half dozen of male crabs and a pound of large shrimp that was about 42 dollars and waited in my car, once I thought my order was ready I went back in and look at my receipt for my number and realized I had four 5 cent charges.. So me thinking I was a mistake, I asked the guy who appeared to be a manager “ Excuse me why do I have all of the bag charges?”, the guy replied “ because we’re giving you four bags” I noticed that my food was in three paper bags and 1 plastic bag.. I nicely and politely informed him of Washington DC PLASTIC bag law along with other Dc residents that was in the store “ Dc only charge for PLASTIC bags” .. One of the customers actually pulled it up on their phone and he refused to look and got upset and begin to yell.. He yelled saying that he was going to refund me the cost of my food, and that he did.. At that point is when The other customers and myself decided that We’ll never go back there again.. It wasn’t a money issue, it was a customer service issues at that point.. No telling what Else they’re over charging people for.. IN FACT FAST FOOD RESTAURANTS ARE NO SUPPOSED TO CHARGE FOR BAGS ANY WAY!

Moruss Seafood got me but it won't happen again. You get one star for giving me what I ordered and another star for trying. You completely failed but I "think" you tried. The shrimp and crab legs don't look like the picture at all. If you're hoping for 3 pieces of catfish (cuz that's what the menu says), you will not get it. You will; however, get 3 half pieces of fish. The cabbage is decent and the green beans taste like they opened a can and dumped in on the plate. No type of seasoning; not even salt and pepper. The potato salad's consistency is one step above mashed potatoes; don't do it. They did not give me napkins and I hate when you pay a lot for your food and the restaurant can't even give you decent forks. The catfish and the chicken dinners came in that cheap paper container and guess what? If you have any food that has liquid (e.g. cabbage, green beans, collards), it will soak through the container. Bottom line: If you're thinking about getting food from here.....don't! Just don't!! Do NOT!!!

I did love this place. Been coming here for years. Ever other Friday of the month. I buy whiting fried hard, half of pound of large shrimp, small crab sauce and a piece of pound cake. There seafood is sooo bomb. This time I come in and order the same thing and they tell me I have to take the platter with fries because it comes with it. I tell her again I don’t want the fries only fish and I was told no they can’t do it. I come all the time and order this. One pound of fish fried hard no fries what’s the problem. They manager on duty not the older gent ( I believe his son) gives me all this attitude about not wanting fries. But here the this give people healthier options. Like put a salad or some veggies in there why do I have to take fries that will most likely end up in the garbage if my coworker doesn’t eat them. Also he as so rude about it. Telling me I don’t come in and order my fish that way. There is no way anyone sells it you like this. Needless to say he did.

Monruss seafood crab houses real good serve some good hot fresh crabs shrimp great taste good and parts authority is right across the street if you need anything for your vehicle I need to ask questions they'll let you know when you can come and pick it up how much it cost and they're very reasonable and it's on the bus line the V4- V1 I think and it will take you too anacostia station and it takes you to lefant plaza as you coming down M Street passing the Navy Yard you could get off and go see a game at the Wilson baseball stadium go see a game at the new soccer stadium right down the street off of South Capitol going towards suitland parkway and you get off on M Street Southwest and get U8 bus going towards Rhode island avenue station and get off and get the circulator buses going towards Union station or L'Enfant plaza where you could get off and get the 52 bus going to Columbia road Northwest

Where do I begin… if I could have given 0 stars I would have… I am always skeptical of buying from places I don’t know. I ordered $90 worth of food and let’s just say I wish I would have just order McDonald’s and ran to the bathroom afterwards. The fried calamari wasn’t fried hard enough so it was soggy… I order two fried salmon platters and one salmon was a nice size while the other was small (pictured) and both tasted nothing like salmon but yet tastes like chicken. The Mac and cheese was utterly disgusting, no flavor or color whatsoever. Which both platters cost me over $40… oh and my husband two crab cake platter was the worst… the crab cakes were full of parsley and tasted like they were breaded with pilsbury cake mix. This is very concerning to pay so much for something that has to go in the trash

I am very upset and disappointed with my food order today. For the 1st time ever I ordered the BEEF BARBECUE RIB DINNER w/2 sides. The ribs were so tough that I could not bite into them. They look like ribs from 2 days ago, they were so dry that someone threw barbecue sauce on them and heated them up to serve me. Definitely they were not fresh ribs. I remember when Maurice and Russell was in the kitchen cooking the food was always fresh and delicious. Something went wrong with the quality of the food that I use to get over the years. The greens taste like canned greens. The potato salad was pretty good. We'll my $27.00 is gone. I learned my lesson today. Definitely, I do not feel like arguing with anyone for a refund. Wow!!!

The person that waited on me was great but the food wasn’t good the crab cake tasted like corn meal and when the cashier told the owner he didn’t want to talk to me until I demanded that he talk to me and that is when he stated because I ate half the sandwich which was not true I took (2) bites then he said there was nothing he could do when he saw that I knew what I was talking about he told his staff I couldn’t come in and order crab cakes ever again. No pricier than going to a sit-down crabhouse and ordering the same weight. Actually seasoned better than most dine in seafood restaurants. The fried garlic butter crabs are the star here along with the old Bay seasoned crab fries. Not to be outdone, the standard carryout go to' s are just as exemplary. The cheeseburgers are colossal and will have you eating way past your point of fullness, just for another taste. The fries...ahhhhhhh...the fries are traditional steak fries, perfectly crisp on the outside, velvety soft on the inside. Thick enough to hold up to ketchup, mumbo sauce, even Mayo if that's your thing. Really. Everything here is tasty. Just freaking tasty.

They try to rob you on service fees. Tried to deliver today, the help at the desk were eating right at the front, had a phone call after I got in they answered the call then put the worst attendant to ask me what I would like and TRIED to order a shrimp PoBoy sub and she asked did I want a Platter. Then she tried to complain that I had on my mask and that I was moving my head while ordering. She said we are too old for this. True Facts that's why I walked out after that. Why patronize a place with rude help.

First of all it’s 7:45 on a Tuesday I call my order in and the girl tell me they are not accepting nomore phone orders. Then I walk inside 3 min later at 7:48 and the girl sweeping the floor said we are closed. It’s posed that this place close at 8:30 everyday but everyday they stop taking order at 7:30 and close by 8. They got good food here but a bunch of ghettto hood rats running the store . Took an Uber to the place arriving 40-45 minutes before closing time, but upon entering they said they were closing. Ultra small, No tables, all take-out place, which isn't noted on their website. Other reviews says food is typically good, but don't know. Definitely, the service sucked. Atmosphere wasn't much either, but now that we know it is a take out, standing room only place, we still won't change the atmosphere rating. Was looking forward to some hole in the wall, off the beaten path seafood, but what a let down and waste of Uber money.

The corn from my crab boil was beyondddd spoiled, I’m so upset I live in NE, so I didn’t even have the energy to go back and complain. But I got home, got comfortable ready to sit down with my crab boil(that butter leaked all in my car, might I add) the lobster was over cooked and to make matters worse, the second I bit into the corn it was so spoiled I could smell it. I literally vomited the whole thing back up, I’ve ate at this establishment multiple time because I like that they accept EBT, it’s always a hit or miss. after that I will never be returning. I’ll stick with my crafty crab.

They are not the greatest when it comes to getting the orders out in a timely manner. They will also inform you of one thing & do something else completely different leaving their customers unnerved. Or served with various issues to make right through their patrons. Other than that. Some of the workers are very accurate in making sure that they have correctly understood the orders the customers may have made to get them to the correct individuals. So let me start by saying this was my first visit to Moruss and I have to say it was just okay. I ordered the Seafood Combo which runs $19.99 and the Fish and Crab Cake for $18.99, yeah they're a bit pricey in my opinion. As far as food quality goes everything was cooked to order and hot my real issues were the scallops had a really off putting after taste and the crab cake was flat and over cooked. I can't honestly say I would never return but it would definitely be on someone else's dime lol. All and all I gave them 3 stars because it wasn't a total wash some of it was good.

Wait is long as food is made to order so be ready to wait. I love the garlic crabs crab cake and spiced shrimp it’s my thing!

The Food at Moruss is GREAT the service however is trash, The woman on the evening shift are rude, From opening to closing they don’t answer the phone and when they do they hang up and not only do they hang up they will put you on hold and hang up, I would understand if you were taking calls back to back but that is not the case when I come and stand in line and go in to make a order and they are hanging up on ppl laughing and just cutting it up. Granted it’s busy but some employees look like they are standing around when they could be taking phone orders.

I ordered 8/16/22 platter which included pieces of chicken 4 shrimps 2 piece of fish greens and Cole slaw when I tell u the food was NASTY the pieces of fish was 1 piece cut in half look like they may have made 4 pieces out of 1 and gave u two they said that's what they call 2 pieces 1st and last then on top of that I c y people go there and eat there NASTY food you can pay for it with food stamps and they charge u cash to cook it smdh I'm going to REPORT THEM STRAIGHT FACTS.

So disappointed. It smelled so good when we walked in, and spent $90 for three meals. There was plenty of food, though. The bang bang shrimp was good, and the funnel cake fries were excellent. We also got the seafood fiesta platter, which was a huge bummer. The shrimp was rubbery, and the fish had no flavor at all. The crab cake tasted nothing like it should. I would go for the funnel cake fries but nothing else.

I read reviews before I placed an order and hoped that I would be one of the lucky ones who have ordered food from this carryout. I was lucky. The fish was cooked perfectly and had good flavor. The potato salad was white but very tasty, Loved the hush puppies. I also ordered the shrimp in garlic butter, the shrimp were okay but you could barely taste the garlic, my preference leans toward a heavier garlic presence. Other than this, I would order from this place again.

The only issue I have, is that you can't stay inside the store after you make your order. They will ask for your name and number to text you once it's ready. I guess because the area, they are trying to control the crowd. Idk. BUT.....the food was very good. And we'll priced.

The staff is ghetto and rude. It’s always crowded and no organization inside of the store. The food is over priced I got a lb of crab legs steamed and seasoned for 32$. The steak and cheese are ok but my last one I opened had a piece of foreigner hair sticking right out at me. I think most people only eat here because you can get hot food off your food stamp card. I wouldn’t recommend paying cash for over 13$ here. Not worth it!!!!

I have been a customer of this place for years. I must say they're food is spectacularly fried or broiled! When l last ate there I ordered the fried-seafood platter. Crab cakes, fish, shrimp, hush-puppies, scallops, coleslaw, fries. I would definitely recommend people to eat/order from here. The food is delicious, cooked and seasoned great! Their customer service is respectable. The prices is on point, you pay for what you get!

Terrible customer service. Called the afternoon of 6/25/20 to inquire about the availability of a snow crab legs bc I needed 15lbs for a small event. The man who answered said “no phone orders” meanwhile I’m simply asking if they have that amount available. He didn’t understand that, became frustrated & hung up on me. I drove 20 minutes to Crafty Crab Seafood and received great service & delicious snow crab legs.

The people were polite, but the food was hyped. Imo no seasoning anywhere. Maybe If was supposed to tell them to season it? I don't know. It was hot as hell in there but of course the foreigners dont care about the minorities that come in. All they want is your money and your EBT. The black woman. Behind the counter was nice. The crabs were definitely not the fried crabs from VA. I wouldn't call them fried crabs, not to mention the crabs were not freshly steamed to order. I will stick with my VA friend crabs. Very disappointing.

The food is good, however they have the rudest most unprofessional females working there, often customers have questions about the menu selections and this seems to frustrate the order takers, I have seen staff argue with customers on several occasions including myself, on my last visit their order taker became very abrupt because I used the term crab legs instead of saying clusters.

Customer service is trash. Called my food in at 4:28. Got there at 5:15 and didn’t leave until 30 minutes later. Then get home and my order wasn’t correct. They are unorganized. Why call ahead of time if you still have to wait ?? I called back to see if I came all the way back up there if they would correct it and they hung up the phone. Had a possible bad night turn into a great one. Had a problem with valet right off the bat but the manager of the restaurant, Sean Hale, who could not make up for the valet problem, more than made up for it in other ways. The food was outstanding and the service was great. It was really nice to have a problem fixed so quickly and make it a great night. Thanks again Sean.

I like the fact that you can use your Snaps here (please see restaurants for details). The seafood here is decent, I order the crab fries here and the was good. I order them another day and the was full of shells. The good news they use fresh crabmeat, the bad news is they use fresh crabmeat. Overall I would order them again and work on trying the whole menu.

I order a catfish dinner & bone croaker dinner with mac & cheese - The mac & cheese noddles was very over cooked and nearly no cheese in it the yams was creamy, and the greens tasted like they came out of a CAN the tarts sauce was horrible. They are TOO HIGH for the FOOD to be SO BAD!! The food has NO LOVE IN IT!! I would never GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!!

That "Garlic Crab Tray" is my favorite & the customer service is wonderful! Everyone knows his/her job & communicate very well with one another!! I can't believe that this is a carryout! I ordered today from here whiting fish mac&cheese and greens it was 23dollars to deliver and the food was HORRIBLE all of it they didn't give eatery to eat with or a napkin I do not recommend any to eat this food not sure about crabs but food is definitely a no good and too expensive I'll take McDonald's over this place

Stopped through D.C. after leaving Baltimore with my man, we wanted G&M but they were jammed packed on a Saturday so we hit the highway toward home NC. Stopped in DC found the closest thing and it ewe. Horrible, the Food taste like “this is what jail food must be like” horrible. Ewe. So sad we stopped here …

Small but popular place. They have a wide selection of menu choices. I had the chicken and waffles. I enjoyed the taste of the chicken, but you get 2 wings. The waffles were light and fluffy, but you only get 2 cubes vs getting the whole waffle. Sad to say, the prices are high. So I won't visit there very much.

The staff at Moruss Seafood and Crab House was helpful and friendly. The Seafood was a nice size and the taste was okay but, if I knew that fried onions was going to be added to my fish sub, I would've never ordered it... I like fried onions on my steak and cheese and not on my fish.

Baked yams were watery fried shrimp had no taste crab cake was burnt scallops smelled horrible like they were old Mac and cheese had no taste and the Tartar Sauce tasted sour nothing was fresh I know to go get seafood from somewhere real now.

I ordered today 1/2 pound of jumbo steamed shrimp and two ponds of crab legs for $84 bucks and this is what I got just 3 clusters but never again it’s ghetto and the staff is ghetto and I feel I was ripped off. Will be reporting this the shrimp was decent but 60 plus bucks for three clusters is a rip off

This is a carry out seafood business. The food, service, and prices are wonderful. Moruss have been in business for nearly two years. It's become the place where all type of workers in its five mile radius pick up their called in order. They will be expanding their facility in the near future.

I love Their Crab Fries & Buffalo Wings !!!! I have never eaten anything else from there I get the same meal every time!!!!

I would give NO STARS if I could. The male crabs were super small and light… every single one. The female crabs were just the same. The y were poorly seasoned and watery. This was a total waste of money. The fried fish was also not seasoned… who are these people.?… absolutely blown

Always excellent, non greasy and non overlooked. I like to get the sandwiches and take off the bread and have the onions and green pepper and make as a salad with ranch to save calories during my off food order. Everything is good and clean. Been ordering with Ubereats for 1 year.

With this carryout spot it is hit-or-miss at times. Sometimes the greens and potato salad be on point and sometimes it not. This order was not that great; the scallops was over cooked, the greens were canned and salty, and the potato salad was white. They need to do better.

The food varies in quality depending upon what you order but overall its usually a very enjoyable experience for one's palate... However my biggest gripe is I believe many of their dishes tend to be a tad bit on the pricey side...considering the portions..

Got 2 trout dinners, the fish was dark brown almost black from the grease being old n burnt, the sides of cabbage,greens n mac and cheese were warm at best n no flavor.I see why they have a sign saying no refunds or exchanges. What a waste of $33.00

Haven't been here since last year but the seafood is great in the food is great as well it's just so far from where I live.however you can call your order and pick it up and I think you can order it on the delivery line as well but I'm not sure.

I ordered the fried garlic crabs (as I did once before so I felt okay with placing another order) and they were bad spoiled. I'm not sure how they didn't catch it. I smelled it as soon as I opened the container. It smelled like ammonia.

I am not a big seafood lover but my girlfriend raves about this particular establishment. It must be a great place cuz I always see lines out the door. I have had the salmon burger and I loved it. So I can recommend it if nothing else

I just wanted some Garlic buttery crab claws, However they had none OKAY. So I say can I get some Garlic buttery shrimp $27 for a pound of shrimp and not to mention ( Raw), no seasoning or Garlic buttery sauce. OOOH REALLY NOT

Busy so call in your order. Delicious, juicy, large fried shrimp. Mac n cheese was gummy though it made with a lot of flour... My friend loves thier lobster tails in spite of them being relatively expensive.
